So I'll leave that up to them. I'm I've never really been one to call people out directly you know that as well but uh For now I'm just happy to just keep chipping away take one fight at a time. Today we have PFL welterweight sensation the number 10 ranked in the world. It's the one and only it's El Sherif Owen Sheridan. How are you doing my friend? >> How's the boys? How's the lads? Good to see you again boys. Thanks for having me on and I like the sound of that number 10 in the world not too bad. >> Yeah well you know what you know what it is anytime the Sherif's on here there's always a party. Tell us this bring us back to Belfast. You were put in there against Chris Mixon. I think he was ranked like number eight at in the world at the time. You went in there and absolutely smoked him. How good was that to do in front of in front of a hometown crowd and how good was that to beat someone so well regarded in the PFL rankings? >> Yeah bro it was a great night. Obviously there was a a massive amount of support there for me. The The Ole's were ringing in the in the arena. So, yeah, that gave me good motivation out there. And yeah, nice to pick up a good win against a very solid opponent. Um I told you I'd get it done and I got it done. So, there you go, lads. We're in the rankings now. Let's go. >> Were you disappointed you sort of didn't come into the rankings initially, but then you did come into the rankings behind him at 10? Were you hoping to come in a little bit higher? >> Um Maybe. Maybe I could have went in around number eight or so, but I'm happy with 10, to be fair. Like if you look at number nine there, Cedric Doumbe, he's a tank. So, like you know, you can't argue with that. Um he's trained actually in SBG before, so um I remember got a little round in just in kickboxing, but yeah, like obviously there's some top top level elite fighters in that top 10, you know what I mean? They're some of the best in the world, like so. >> Yeah, absolutely. I'm looking forward to seeing And there's a few people who >> the weight division especially, like there's some tanks in there, myself included. >> [laughter] >> Well, Sheral, the reason why we have you on today is that you're fighting James Vick on August 22nd, this Saturday in Tampa. And you're you flew over early. How are you getting on so far since you arrived? >> Oh jeez, thanks for reminding me. I almost forgot I was fighting on the weekend. I've just been living the hotel life, lads, you know? Um nice [clears throat] bit of sun. It's 34°. The feet are up. And um yeah, just chilling. Chilling, yeah. Thanks for reminding me. I have another hotel to go to tomorrow. And uh fight week will begin. >> Exactly. Yeah, absolutely. Obviously, uh this guy is out of a city kickboxing gym. Uh obviously, strong strong pedigree. Not too unlike yourself with your own gym. Um tell us this, what what uh does he bring to the table for you? >> Um I think he's a good fighter, you know, he's obviously, as you said, he's from an elite gym as well. So, he's going to be training with some high-level guys. And I think it's a good fight. He's He's nine professional fights, so he's a bit more experienced than me. Seven wins, so yeah, it's a good It's a good head to take. I think I'm going to be a bit bigger when I'm in there, and when I connect with him, he's going to know about it. So, uh yeah. Let's see how he gets on. >> Exactly. Sheriff, do you Do you feel like now that you're ranked, like each opponent you take on next will will always have more MMA experience in the professionally than yourself? >> Um yeah, I'd say so, to be fair, like because you know my story, lads. I had a very hard difficult time at the start trying to get matched. And just kept falling through, and it just got to a point I think it was a year and a half out of cage after my pro debut, so um luckily PFL came along, and they gave me the opportunity to fight, and of course, after a couple of fights in there, the the level's going to get pretty high, I think. You know, like even the CEO was saying he was struggling to match me in there as well, so yeah, there's we're we're in amongst the high-level fellows now. >> Yeah, I still remember when we were at Cage Legacy a few years ago. You're like, "Hey, look, I can't get matched, but like you have to keep an eye on me. I'm I'm coming to take heads." And that was actually before your pro debut. Ross, you remember that in the back of Cage Legacy? >> Yeah, I was I I was like, "This fellow's on a mad one." But he's always on a mad one. And but >> Well, I'm after making the I'm after making the Hall of Fame there the other day in the Cage Legacy. Did you not see that? >> I congratulate you, man. >> I am the only fighter ever to make the Hall of Fame without ever having a fight. Ring up Deck and he'll confirm it. >> [laughter] >> Sheriff, I'm in bright lights. >> We We We love to see it. We love to see it. But this is this is obviously a really really big card. Like there's some like serious names on this card. You know, obviously Chris Hoyborg's retirement fight like I don't think I've ever seen somebody rank fighters on the one PFL card as well. There's going to be a lot of eyes in this as well with the PFL and VP merger. What do you think that merger means for a PFL going forward? And do you think there's going to be more eyes in these up-and-coming cards than we've seen in a long time? >> Yeah, I think it's brilliant for the sport overall and obviously for the promotion, but uh yeah, it's going to be a lot more eyes as I said, hopefully more promotion, more you know, I know Jake is big on fighter pay as well, so it's an exciting time and I'm looking forward to being a part of it. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> very exciting for the fighters. Like, that's that's a big merger and it's like hopefully it's going to really help all the Irish fighters involved. >> Yeah, and >> And obviously, you're you're you're the party starter. You're kicking off the party come fight fight week. Tell tell us this, obviously in the fight afterwards, I'm going to be fighting Shaban and Zendeli. Yourself versus Shaban, is that a fight that you'd be open to in the future? Obviously, you know, two fighters fighting out of Ireland. I think people people on this island would love to see it. >> Yeah, you know, actually, Andy Stevenson asked me a similar question like would I be open to fight the Irish fighters? Absolutely. You know me, lads, but ideally, I'd prefer to fight international like, you know, across the water, but uh I think, you know, obviously, if it's a big fight like a main event or there's a title on the line, of course, Ireland versus Ireland makes sense, but I think for the next couple of fights, I'm happy enough to chip away in the rankings and see see who who's there, you know? >> Yeah, absolutely. Look, it's just more of if he wins, he I think he's he's Zendeli's ranked eight. So, I think if he wins, he has a chance of getting into the rankings and then obviously, Rhys McKee is probably going to fight at welterweight sometime soon and he's going to be looking to get in the rankings as well. So, like that that welterweight division is definitely hotting up on the European scene and and we are here for it. But, at the moment, there's only one man in the rankings and that's Elshrif. >> Do you get me? Do you get me? >> And let's let's see you go go up those rankings. So, the points will come rolling in straight afterwards. >> [laughter] >> Sheriff, Sheriff, you you've obviously fought all over the world and now you're going to be fighting in America this August 22nd in Tampa. Uh like do you continuously want to fight in America or are you sort of like, you know, I want to come back and fight in the either the Three Arena or up in the SSE in Belfast? >> Um well, I've done the SSE twice. So, I'm kind of content with that for now. Uh definitely would like to fight in the Three Arena, absolutely. And yeah, in front of the Irish crowd, that would be amazing. I've never actually got to do that. So, definitely something I want to take off before it's all said and done, absolutely. And yeah, America seems to be where it's at. So, you know, I have a visa here for the next couple of years. So, keep chipping away. >> Mr. America. >> Uh Sheriff, tell us this. Obviously, you're three fights in with the PFL now. How many fights are left on this deal of yours? >> Yeah, so this is my fourth PFL fight now on the weekend. Um and I'm due to get another contract after this one, so let's have us let's sit down and have a word. Um I'm sure John will sort all that for me as well. And uh yeah. You know you know the gig there, lads. You know the gig. I know the craic. >> Put your Put your money where Put Put your Put your money where your cowboy hat is. >> [laughter] >> Yes, that's it. That's it. I don't have to say it. I think you guys already know. You know the sheriff coming out swinging. That long kickboxing style, you got to pay pay for it, you get me? >> Yeah, well well Well, look, you can fit You can fit a a large amount of cash underneath that cowboy hat, so you know me. >> [laughter] >> Cowboy hat keeps getting bigger and bigger. >> Yeah, no, but you know it's gone very well um uh so far anyway. So, this will be me third contract, so happy out happy happy to look to resign, you know. >> Yeah, absolutely. Look, there's very few fighters who will be six and 0 uh at this stage of their career under the banner like PFL and be doing so well and you know I think even if you could look back to Bellator days, a lot of the Irish fighters were sort of kept in Ireland for the Irish cards. That's not That's not the same with you. They're happy enough to bring you over to the States. They're happy enough to let you go where you need to go to to make make an impact, and that's one thing you are doing is making an impact. So, fair play to you. Do you Do you feel the love from the PFL brass when when you're on fight week and they're you know you're in around and you know you're doing your weigh-ins and you're doing all that? Do you feel like they're like this guy is a bit special? >> Um you know I get on very well with all the staff. They all come up and they give you all like, you know, having a buzz, you know. So, yeah, I get on I get on very well with them, you know. We be messing and then they'll be getting me in the pictures and they'll be having me doing all different poses and all sorts of thing. They love it, you know what I mean? So, yeah, it's going well and um yeah, I'll have a few videos to make now on Tuesday as well. Get a nice fade down the road and then yeah, it's camera time. >> I'm sure what's the what's the feedback been like ever since you you've been like just knocking off these wins and like they keep getting bigger and bigger. >> Yeah, like obviously as I said my story is you very unique where you know, I've five and oh the level that I'm at. Apart from my opening the card >> [laughter] >> the level that I'm at I've plenty of of a plenty of experience against tough opposition, you know, so um Yeah, this is this arena is deadly as well. I seen it the other day. It's like a 21,000 seater or always always hockey stadium. So it's going to be quality going in there and then Yeah, it's a good time for the Irish to tune in at. So that's that's a a good thing to look forward to on the weekend. >> Yeah, well no Shiro uh in one way disappointed that you're open the card cuz like I feel like after your last couple performances you should be probably open the card. But I'm delighted you're open the card because for those watching at home we we we don't have to stay up till 4:00 a.m. to watch watch Shiro. Be 1:00 a.m. and watch. So like that's definitely a benefit. >> Yeah, exactly. So there you go. It's all good. Just tune in probably around half 10:00 quarter to 11:00 then. Enjoy the show. >> There we go. And like if if I need to go off to bed I can go off to bed when the work is done. You know what I mean? >> Exactly. We get a win here and hopefully now I'll be a nice win. Hopefully I can go up the rankings a little bit more maybe around the number eight spot. So let's see. >> And Shiro like obviously you can't you're not overlooking James Vick this weekend. But like are you looking to get another fight in in this year or are you like right once this is done 2027 I'm going on the another big run? >> Um definitely the plan is to fight in December. Yeah. I want to take a few weeks off down with buddies and the music. I've had a few >> you doing? So be the closing party season. >> [laughter] >> Well, I'm definitely going to make an appearance in Ibiza over the next couple of weeks. You know that much. I might have to show the face in Miami as well. So I'll keep you guys posted on that. But um >> [laughter] >> Yeah, I'm going to take a few weeks off lads and then yeah, straight back into another full camp and that should just line up perfectly to get fighting around the end of November, December time. And then hopefully finish the year at 7 and 0. at 6 and 0. 6 and 0 for the last well. >> Uh one thing I do want to get your opinion on was uh obviously Ian Garry fought for the world title the weekend wasn't successful. He he's been doing a bit in SBG over the last couple of months dipping in there when he trains in Dublin that seems to be where he bases himself out of. Did you get to see the fight and what you make of the performance? >> Um Joe actually did. It was on down on like the boardwalk there facing the arena. It was deadly. There was like a big club and it had it up on the the big screen. There was a lot of people watching. So um [snorts] yeah, I said I'd go down and check it out and it was on a as a at a reasonable time obviously over here. So um yeah, it was a great fight obviously and he's done really well. He's done very very well. Those Russians they're good. >> Yeah, man. You've fought a few in your time, haven't you? >> I've I've been in with two Russians in me days, yeah. Similar kind of story them glued to me for the whole thing. >> [laughter] >> Um Obviously the amateur game that was it that would have been in the worlds and the the Europeans I fought fought them. Both were decisions. Um Good fights just cuz you know, in amateur you don't really have the same weapons. Uh you know, you can't throw knees to the head, the elbows and stuff like that. Obviously that would favor me massively in the professional game. >> Mhm. >> And but also just it's been a number of years since then, so just overall I'm just a better fighter now, you know. >> 100% and I suppose with that style like everything there's levels to every single style and obviously Islam is the absolute elite of that that style. Like I mean there there's obviously other Pakistani fighters who tried to implement that style but aren't as good as Islam is at doing it, so uh look, at the end of the day unfortunately you didn't get his hand raised. You you'd like to see another or uh UFC belt come back to Ireland. But one thing that's also uh alluded to Ireland is a PFL belt. So is that is that something that you you'd like to be the first to bring back bring home to Ireland? >> Yeah, uh definitely would love to would love to win the belt. Like that's probably the goal, let's say. Uh No, not not that I'd say. I'd say definitely is. Just have to get towards it first I think. There's quite a mountain to climb before I before I get there, you know, so uh I have to beat this guy on the weekend and then, you know, another big win in the top 10 top five and I could be right in the mix. I saw actually only a couple of weeks ago the number nine guy fought fought for the title and he had a very good fight, you know, so that moved him up the rankings a bit as well. Uh although it didn't go his way either, but just goes to show I'm number 10. So if number nine's getting a call up for the title then you never know what what might happen just down the line, you know. >> Well, that's the thing. If they keep on lining them up and you keep on knocking them down, you know what I mean? Sooner or later you're going to end up in that in that in that scenario and at the end of >> tell you I'm a hard man to knock down, you know what I mean? 6'5 long rangy dangerous evasive. So I you know what I mean? I'm like a I'm causing them all sorts of problems in there. >> Long rangy and dangerous both hands. You better believe it. >> [laughter] >> Sure, man. Sure, man. That that was absolutely gold, but we have to ask you as well. Is there anything you want to say to the people that will be tuning in this Saturday, August 22nd, to see you go six and 0 with the PFL. >> Um yeah, I just want to say thank you everyone for the support. My phone's been uh taking up like blowing up, you know, it always does around fight week, and I get crazy amount of support, so it's always much appreciated. He's He's always a an interesting character to follow follow along with, so let let's see how it goes. But uh speaking of top contenders in the welterweight division, let's move across to UFC 330. Islam Makhachev and still, he defeated Dan Ige at UFC 330 by decision. Bas, now, tell me this, what did you make of uh the build-up to the fight, the press conferences, then the fight itself, and just the whole the whole fight week, Bas. Now, you you kick me off where you you where you want. >> Yeah, well, it was a very interesting fight week. I think um when it first started off on the Tuesday when Ian sat down in front of the press and he was like, "Okay, I just want to make this abundantly clear that let's stick to the professional stuff because it's the biggest fight of my life. So, I stick to the fight questions. Um I hadn't seen any fighter ever really address the medium so they try and put them in their place beforehand. Um especially the way leading up to the fight he mentioned he didn't know there was any backlash going to happen online, but that was spoken by someone who definitely knew there was some rumblings about to happen. So, uh that was slightly confusing. Then when you go on to the the press conference then the way um Oscar Willis tried to >> Instigate. >> Try to instigate something asking Islam Makhachev does he find Ian annoying and then Ian pointing the finger saying, "Don't be doing that." That was another thing I'd never seen before as well. It's funny how like he really really tried to control the narrative. Yeah, we'll be friends. Have you seen that before the way a fighter tried to control the narrative? Especially with like so many people watching live. >> No, and I feel like this is where I would disagree with Ian Garry. As someone who's been in the media and as someone who's definitely asked questions that's >> piss someone off before all I will say is it's not for the fighters to decide what the public deems to be interesting and not interesting. And it's not for the fighters to decide what's a professional question and what's not. If I'll just call it what it is. Ian Garry did not want to address any comments that his brother called him out in the YouTube comments about how he described his life growing up and where that was at. And obviously Ian didn't want to talk about that. And that's fair enough Ian didn't want to talk about that. But it should never the media should never be dictated what they can and can't ask. They should be able to ask what they want. If he didn't want his client to answer that question, that's totally within his rights. And I I'm like I'm like as much as like it's not great as a media member if someone doesn't want to answer your questions. It's also something where you shouldn't actually be dictating the questions media ask for. He even he might as well just jump on your own Instagram and interview yourself. Um at the end of the day, people were interested in if you go on to any of the comment section on anything that UFC posted or anyone else posts about Ian Garry in fight week. A lot of people were talking about the family situation. A lot of people were talking about the high performance podcast. A lot of people were talking about the brother's YouTube comments. That's what people were talking about. As a fighter, you put yourself into the limelight. You put yourself open to question. And at the end of the day, he didn't want to answer those questions. He would try to get ahead of it, which was not a bad move from him and his team. But I do feel that at the end of the day, you shouldn't be telling the media members what they can and can't ask and declaring if they ask question you don't like that that's unprofessional. >> No, I I I agree, but I'm sort of like all these personal questions he's getting asked. I like I don't know if I would want to answer these questions either, you know? >> Yeah, but look at the questions Conor McGregor got asked. >> I know. >> So like you know what I mean? He still stood up there and faced it. Whether you think he performed well or not is irrelevant. He didn't say you can't ask me that. >> Oh no, but No, like as I said, I do agree with you. I'm just also sort of like >> Yeah, but he's the one who made the comments. He's the one who made the comments on the high performance podcast. He's the one who described his life that way. Then someone challenged the way he said it. So therefore, if you if I come out and say something in a public forum, and then and then what? Like no one's allowed to ask me about that ever again. Like, that's that's not how That's not how media game works. He knows that. You know what I mean? >> But, they're even referencing >> like also also like his his wife was a presenter. I would ask questions. And like she she definitely would have asked people about their personal life. I asked. >> No, but it's As I said, I agree. I just like even the way he made the t-shirts about Jeff Neil going to to jail and stuff. So, like he's sort >> Yeah, like look, there's just such a hypocrisy about it, and that's not a That's not a like I'm not even having a go at him. What I'm more so saying like that's that's just the way it's perceived by the public. You know what I mean? So, it is what it is, you know what I mean? Like, he used Neil Magny's words against him. You know what I mean? Like That's That's what happens if you say something and there's a bit of a public interest in it, then journalists are going to ask you questions about what there's a public interest in. That's their job. Their job isn't to only ask about the fight. Ask about like "What are you going to do against the fence in the clinch?" You know what I mean? Cuz like most fans are educated enough to know what happens there. They're like, "We don't need a detailed breakdown, you know?" Yeah, so look, it was strange, but it was it was also strange the way he who he is so insistent on answering the question about like Khabib's dad. So, that was that was really really strange. I've never seen someone be like, "Let me answer to that question that has nothing to do with me about someone I've never met before." I thought that was just really really weird. Obviously, it was like nice what he was trying to say, you know what I mean? But like he'd be proud of him for that. But I don't know why he was so insistent to have to get that in there. Didn't didn't make any sense. >> Do you think that guy that had anything to do with the booze that he was getting that he was like, "Yeah, I'm trying to I want to try and fix my name a bit?" >> I'm not too sure. Maybe like was he trying to win win brownie points with the audience? I I don't know. I don't know. But like it's very very strange that there's an owner's fighter fighting in Philadelphia which has like a lot of lineage with like Irish history. And then there's a Dagestani guy there who's getting cheered to the hilt as if he is the second coming of Donovan McNabb. And then Ian Garry's there and it's it's as if like he dropped the winning torch down in the Super Bowl for the Eagles. You know what I mean? It was uh >> [laughter] >> very very strange. Like you know what I mean? >> The Eagles, mate. Oh my god. >> [snorts] >> Donovan McNabb as well. Another reference one. But uh It was just a Maybe >> out there. Throw him out there. You know what I mean? >> I know about that. >> Maybe maybe he should have used Allen Iverson, you know, the 76ers. >> Yeah. Or LeBron, man. >> Man, LeBron's not LeBron hasn't graced the court as a 76er just yet. >> But look, he's the biggest name in Philadelphia right now. >> Yeah, well, we have to we have we haven't seen his reception yet, you know. >> Yeah. No, it's it's just such a bizarre situation to be in for Ian. But like cuz the way he talks to the media behind the scenes and stuff, he's he kills them with kindness. >> And then that's why when he was pointing at Oscar, he was like he said, "I thought we were friends." >> Yeah. >> You know? It it it wasn't a really insightful question by Oscar. But like Oscar's entertaining whether you whether you like it or not. Like he just is, you know what I mean? So like Let the man cook. >> I think yeah, I think I think all the media members someone was going to ask. They knew that was the clickbait to get. >> Yeah, they're looking for the most viral clip that they can from the press conference. And Oscar got a book being given out to So it is what it is. And look, at the end of the day obviously they did the press conferences. They did the face-off. Um there there was a massive deal about Ian Garry's kid getting to meet Islam Makhachev well. like to know what that was all all about like as in like I don't really care if his kid meets Islam Makhachev in no way possible. Like he seems like a lovely little kid, but uh I don't know why that became like a talking point. Uh it was very very strange, but at at the end of the day, you know, they were there to to fight and um come come fight now, obviously round one uh definitely went to Islam Makhachev. Round two, obviously he got the head kick knockdown. Obviously went to Islam Makhachev. Round three, Ian Garry came back and won it. Even though the judges didn't score it that way, I thought I thought he won round four as well. But then it came out in round five and I just felt like he just didn't have the bit between his teeth that he needed. He didn't look urgent. He was more worried about giving him a hug and telling him he loved him than he was trying to knock him out and finish him. Um so I just thought Islam won round five and I had it three rounds to two, Islam Makhachev versus Ian Garry. Uh I will say after the fight, he held himself really really well. I think I I think if if if he's going to win fans over, I think it's going to be from his antics after the fight, not before the fight. Uh obviously I saw him do like a bit of a speech back in the changing room. He obviously ran into Michael Morales and sort of gave him some words of advice and encouragement. Even though I don't know how how how good Michael Morales' English is, so I don't know how much he understood. But yeah, I thought he held himself in really high high regard after the fight. I think I think he showed great accountability. He didn't say he should have won or any of that. And then look, he's only 28, one or two wins, and then he'll get back in there. So and again, I I think people will be fine to see, you know, Ian Garry win two fights and then fight Makhachev again. >> Yeah, I'd agree. But I just it's just like at the end of each round, he's probably trying to be a bit too friendly. He's almost like um as you said, he didn't go for it. Like maybe because he was like, "I'm still young. I could get this This will probably happen again." Whereas like nothing is guaranteed in life. >> Yeah, I I I don't think I've seen someone that respectful to to their opponent in such a long time. >> Yeah. It actually made Islam like dislike him even more. >> Yeah. So, go on the war, brother. >> Overall, Islam Makhachev set a record now, first ever UFC fighter to defend two titles in two separate weight divisions. Like do do you think Islam Makhachev is the greatest ever UFC fighter? >> I think he's hard as fighter to beat. Um that's what I think he is. Greatest ever fighter. I think it really comes down to what you look at like one of the most successful fighters, absolutely. One of the hardest to beat, absolutely. I just feel like Jon Jones was better to watch, more entertaining. >> Yeah. >> More finishes. More decisive in his wins as well, if that makes sense. And even like the like you put it this way, like obviously that was a really hard fought fight against Ian Garry for him, like you know what I mean? It was definitely definitely long and and cumbersome as opposed to if you look at like Jon Jones fighting Alexander Gustafsson, like that was one of the best fights of all time, type thing, you know what I mean? So, I just think his style it's very hard for me to be in love with that style, you know what I mean? >> No, I agree. >> It is tough. I even felt when GSP took people down saying and tapping them, it was more exciting. There's something about that Dagestani style that I'm not like blown away by. >> No, either way. But look, Well, the the question now is who does Islam Makhachev fight next? And then also, who does Ian Garry fight next? >> Yeah, for me I think it's going to be either Michael Morales or Carlos Prates. Uh and I for me I think I'd rather see Prates cuz I think Prates has the capability of knocking someone out until the end of the fight, like you know what I mean? Uh sure he's on clipping Gary in round five, so I think that will be a very, very interesting fight. Um Paddy Pimblett and Gary, I think he should fight either Jack Della Maddalena or I think he should fight Leon Edwards. >> Man, how good would that Leon Edwards fight be in Dublin? >> Be very, very good. Very, very good. But like the chances of him coming to Dublin now, I think I'm obviously slightly lessened. Uh Paddy Pimblett and Gary losing, but I I'd be happy here for that. But if they put that fight on London, I'd be happy here for that. I think that would be a great main event for a for London card. >> Yeah, you think that would be a main event then? That would be a fight night then, yeah? >> Yeah. >> All right. And then um Ross in the co-main event, Mackenzie Dern won by decision as and she is still the UFC strawweight champion. >> Yeah, fair play to her. Obviously, uh you know, she won every round against Gillian Robertson, except maybe the last. And look, I think she I think Gillian Robertson's thing was she was very good at jiu-jitsu. And I think I think they Mackenzie Dern's was better at jiu-jitsu than she is, so look, a tough night the office for Gillian Robertson, but uh I I think look, I think everyone see Mackenzie Dern versus uh Zhang Weili next. I think that's that's the fight people looking for, so let's see if the UFC will make that. And look, uh Zhang Weili never lost that belt, so let's see if she can uh sort of come back and and win it back, so I'm interested, Basil. >> No, that's definitely one to tune into. But the UFC 284 this weekend in Sacramento as Anthony Fluffy Hernandez takes on Gregory Robocop Rodriguez. Ross, who are you backing for this one? >> I'm picking Fluffy to win. I think fourth round submission. >> Yeah, I'm definitely going to go Fluffy for this one as well. Ross, also just in the world of ours martial arts over the weekend, Kiefer Crosby won in his second boxing match over in Manchester on Gorilla Promotions with a fourth round TKO. >> Yeah, two and oh. We beat Jimmy Joseph over there, who's a former BKFC fighter. Kiefer looked really really good in there. He looked really really good in the build for the fight. He looked in the best shape I've seen him in a long time. So, long may that last. He called out Tony Ferguson for Misfits. Let's get Misfits to Dublin in the 3Arena. Kiefer Crosby headlining against Tony Ferguson. I'll be here for it. I'll be here for it. You'll be here for it. I think it's a great fight to make. >> Yeah, that's definitely one of Yeah, I want to see Misfits come back to Dublin. Like we'll we'll get media credentials for that one. If we're allowed. Then, Ross, there is some big fights going down this weekend. As we said, Owen Sheridan and Arman Sheban are going to be fighting on PFL this Saturday. And then, also on the Sunday, Matthew Elliott from Fight Academy Ireland's going to be fighting on FSC. And also, BJJ World Retreat is going to be going down in Ireland as well. And there is a big show that we'll be going to this Saturday as First to Six goes down in Omagh, Ross. >> Yeah, it goes down live August 22nd this weekend, St. Enda's Hall in Omagh. Massive card headlined pro flyweight fight between Aaron Hanley Henry and Jordan Gallbazi. Gallbazi. Unbelievable stuff. Really two high-level flyweights. This one's going to be action-packed from start to finish. I remember watching Aaron Henry's pro debut against Kiefer McCartan. He's fighting another SBG fighter. So, he's looking to right the wrong there. We also have Kieran Smallan, brother of um Irish legend Richie Smallan. He's fighting for the light heavyweight fight against Destiny Asauku. He's probably the most dangerous fighter at heavyweight and light heavyweight on the amateur scene right now. that's going to be an absolute banger. Shawn McDermott is fighting Taylor Effron for the Versus Lightweight title. Taylor Effron, obviously a very decorated striker. Shawn McDermott's been on an absolute tear at the moment. His last time out was probably the best performance we've seen of him yet. Shawn Carmody is fighting Brian Moore. Can Brian Moore put a stop to the Carmody submission train? Who knows? Be there to find out. Ben Doherty Roe is fighting Ugen Ardashvilli as well for the super lightweight title. That's going to be a huge one. And Tom Buckley versus Daniel Clooney for the interim featherweight title fight. Bas Mah, which title fight are you looking forward to most? >> I have to say that the Daniel Clooney fight is the one against Tom Buckley. >> Yeah, that one's going to be very interesting. Like Daniel Clooney out of Hooligan Martial Arts. Obviously, last time out we saw him submit Henry Lekea. Probably one of the biggest upsets upsets in the Irish amateur scene. Probably one of the best submissions gotten this year in the Irish amateur scene. So, yeah, Tom Buckley we talked about him on the show all the time how much we regard him, how much we think he's a really top prospect Bas Mah. So, I think he's definitely someone to watch out for. So, the winner of this you know, has a a lot to lot to say about that featherweight division. I think the winner of this versus Shane Carmody will be an unbelievable scrap. >> Yeah, well the thing is you'll be doing the post-fight interviews at the event and we'll be putting out all the the winners, all the finishes on the amateur shows Instagram page from the night as well. So, it's definitely a show not to be missed. Something I'm very excited for. Obviously, we're at the last one which was great. So, let's see if this one can beat our odds. >> Yeah, [snorts] absolutely. Look, Versus 6 is going to be an absolute banger. St. Enda's Hall will be on absolute wheels up in Omagh. Main event is going to be an absolute banger. Aaron Henry versus Jordan Gaubeuzi. unbelievable flyweight action. That's going to be non-stop from start to finish. And who knows, maybe we won't even need the judges score cards for that one. Kieran O'Malley, unbelievable talent fighting in the name brothers of Richie. He's going to fight Destiny as Bobby. Uh, probably the most dangerous man in Ireland right now on the amateur scene. Sean McDermott versus Taylor unbelievable title fight. Can't wait for that one. Can Sean Canney be stopped?
