featherweight title fight it is the highest level of amateur mixed martial arts in the country this could be fight of the Year between Max Sally and Tyran and lachron Lads are we excited for this one what wasn't it I can't [ __ ] wait loud yeah thank you for having us look big foreign Academy Ireland what brought that move um and what made you move back home uh place over there I committed I committed the going pro in this game when I was 18 18 years old and I was a it was just a massive step like when I moved to coborn that was it for me it was only MMA and uh cobon was was unbelievable to me it was an unreal gym but I just feel like I came to Second myself of the sport and the life like I was coming I was going to the gym I was getting up going to the gym coming home know how to do really back in the gym that night and I just thought I just need to take a bit of a not a step back from MMA just to step back I don't know maybe mixed something up and then I just would have done I done that tried FAA and uh no I think it was a I think it was a good move that's that's really working from yeah but I suppose maybe if you have that bit of homesickness as well you miss home you want to get back and see your family more uh more often uh and then you're sick listen to Kayla and tell you he's the best in the world you know what I mean there maybe even in that face you can only listen to that moms too long what made you pick Fai as well I will think uh when you're talking about James North you know what I mean there's there's an obvious choice like uh I don't know I just went I went from one there I thought that was a little bit nice uh I went for one day I wanted like a Sunday spawn and we don't like we just done a mod amount of rounds and I was born like Paul Spartan Paul I got around with Reese McKee and I was just thinking like like this is perfect I've got everything I need here Pat was coaching me some stuff and I was like guesses this is this is obviously class I'm close to home this gym is laid up so it just seemed like a perfect fit and I think it was and then obviously for yourself Max you you've spent some time over in Thailand uh for this Camp you went over there for around Christmas time was that in knowing the fact that uh Owen was gonna go off and Coach The Ultimate Fighter or was that just a coincidence it was just um we deal like it was the whole point was it was to kind of stay active over Christmas you know uh just like horses and Irish quotes a lot of people coming to take time off Christmas and spend time with family and friends you know it's not the worst but we wanted to uh continue me calling the street Katrina that had gone so I decided to go out before Christmas and go over in January because usually like on the amateur and MMA scene not a whole lot goes on in January so I would have been doing the same at home anyway you know so I was like I might as well go out and nothing I'm stuck for training Partners around but get a feel-out for a new bodies and different styles you know and it was a great experience here and obviously uh you're bumped into a pound for pound King over there Alexander volkanovsky did you actually get much training with him and what was that like yeah I got a good bit of training I've got a good bit of Tuesday for about two weeks uh before he went back over to Australia so I got a good bit of training in with him and I feel what our Russian goal is as well that were helping him with his camper Islam and uh it was great to move around and have a feel for like you know one of the best goalies in the world at a such a young age I think it's very uh beneficial for me like down the Horizon obviously have any pro career approaching and all that type of stuff so it was good get a bit of voice off and bit of technical voice as well and yeah learn from the best but there you have a password both Labs bringing in world champions for this campaign and Alexander volcomovski and Paul Hughes yes yes well like this fight is extremely high level for people tuning in obviously Max is a huge following Tyrion has to use followman and we will see it live in the devonish on April 1st so make sure to get on the max for tickets and tuning for tickets yeah I love it I was actually doing kids Rose last night with three world champions that Rhys McKee Jill mcculligan and Paul Hughes three in a row search S3 world champions Happy Days uh good good to hear Joe mcculligan's back in the gym I won't call them to command retirement yeah it was our first time trying to get it was good uh on that tell us this chairman what what changes have you seen since moving from koban to Fai in yourself you know you know what it is but it's actually there's a lot of similarities there there is a lot of similarities these like either over the top gems there's only one way to do it like it's technique and work hard like that's that's what it is you have to do the rounds and both of them gyms are doing it um and that's what I wanted I didn't want to come here and feel like I would hate to go in that fight feeling like I've never that I haven't done enough and that was a big fear with moving back almost like what I do as much as I'll do in caribon but I don't I don't really fear that from fa because this Camp I've done geez I've done more than off the rounds I've done this week alone look at my face there hasn't been alone is [ __ ] insane so uh no there's there's there's some differences like there's a few differences but now that they do things they carry on things the same way no and then just to talk on uh this fight itself I'm gonna start with South Max obviously cage conflict like won the best promotions in the country this is probably their best card they've ever put on uh super super high level Max obviously you're supposed to play Craig and crafting first when you found it he was able to fight and Tien was in what was your first impression better better opponent for me uh from yourself you know uh as well as that usually what happened to me actually in uh February me and turning were supposed to know you are thanking Michael Lane Texas boat this boat agreed verbally agreed that we fight in February and I wasn't sure what happened but here in the tax TV and like listen something's out they're coming up can't be able to fight you hopefully we'll get one in soon and when Tyrion pulled out we got now I got about five or six names sent to me boy I know you are and I don't know we'll never hear that and back from them but I didn't get I didn't get a food uh it's now approaching the April or you should at least have one or two Armature votes on the way belt so far this year but I have zero because it's just unfortunately for myself and probably fraternity experience is the same thing or a big draws you know what I mean so these 46 days should be happening in in the country and that that's it like it shouldn't be any shouldn't be any different you know so do you think it's a reputation think that people people won't fight Max alley they don't take it yeah I wouldn't I wouldn't I wouldn't even I wouldn't even label it as that it's uh you have your power time for you and then you'll have your you know people that [ __ ] deal this every day you know that live and breathe the sport and uh it's just sometimes it's the the proper voice get putting categories with the you know people who are fighting and they're not falling and they can't you know what I mean it's like in reality and the way it should be is or you should have at least one or two points on the me belt but as you know you progress and you get more amateur fights the skill level goes up and they're tired of the following people there they're on your skill level and now I'm happy that I have an opponent that's what we feel like they're giving me a good foot you know yeah we did see that at the last cage Legacy obviously no files to promote but you end up fighting someone who who your levels upon levels above but again you want to get the cage time in so it is important for you to get that in yeah no that that was uh when I suppose it for you yeah it was actually it was a bit bittersweet because that week uh Jordan Bradshaw now I think it was Mario the final pulled out with John Bradshaw I would love with the fully Jordan and steady a man but whatever way it happened was it was the week before Ahmad pulled out and then it was like really I have this falafia that's confirmed everything like that and then you had Jordan Bradshaw and Texan Jackie are gonna avoid Max whatever like that and then it was like wasn't happening because your man had already accepted and there's a few days out from the fight or whatever like that but whatever like it's just for me now it's like these next few fights would be a Federal Way would be a proper way cool you know and I'll be trying to fight the most experienced best possible to go is I can fight you know that's it and then what about yourself tearing a no hesitation except in this fight will you chomped at the beat to get this VoIP after it sort of came up in February but he's I I don't turn down fights I've never turned on a fight ever I've accepted fights against the number one amateur in the UK about four times like I've I've never turned on a fight that fight on your with Max didn't happen I said yes obviously I was like obviously that's class good time and sexually Christmas it was perfect and then I was going through the transition from caribom to fade Academy and stuff and things were going on I wasn't really I didn't really have now that I didn't have a gym but I wasn't in a position to fight out of a gym you know but I that's when that's when Liam told me because I was supposed to fight Natalia in this killer or something like I'm going to feed Italian but then something happened there so when Liam told me that Craig pulled out and Max is there I didn't even hesitis what else you do as an amateur you have to you're here to fight you're training the Fate take the first fate you're given I I always think and then obviously Max has has a an awesome reputation in Ireland uh when did you first hear maximum when was the first time you laid eyes on our side because I was fighting him but I that was probably it I don't know I don't remember that's obviously it was like supposedly meant to happen oh you're fighting championships and now it's happening now and it seems like you had a bit of back and forth online but it seems like you both never really respect each other's like careers yeah like I can't I can't disrespect someone that's out there stepping in on two weeks now it was because in reality in my opinion anyway if Karen and hadn't stepped in we think I would have struggled to get someone on saying power skill level as myself you know so uh yeah you can't you can't not uh respect him or stepping in you know in two weeks not not even asking for a catch away or not like that you know what I mean making the championship wait so it's [ __ ] whatever it is it's just let's get in there let's do it looking what I mean [Applause] playing out and not that way I'm not I'm not I'm not coming for a war I'm coming dead I'm coming to pack Max off that's that's something I'm coming down I'm not gonna give away too much but I I think I can win this fight anywhere I I think I think I can win this better I think if we stop I've got the advantage I think we don't shoot wrestle much out of the advantage and when we mix it all together that's when that's when I Shane the most so I that's probably and I'm I I'm gonna I plan to do it all and finally down to get the win I wish it was five I'd love to play five rounds probably five grandchild but Max what are your thoughts on uh on um Tiernan saying he thinks he has the advantage everywhere and the five round aspect of it yeah we're waiting foreign when you when you feel me for the first time you're gonna get a big shock Ed by myself I'm so focused Joe yeah reefer you might be strong but yeah listen it's going to be we're gonna obviously you guys are clearly two of the best featherweights in the country you could easily make an argument that you are the two best by the ways in the country do you actually have much left on your amateur career to achieve after after a win on this fight uh we'll start with yourself thanks uh for me um at this stage I'm gonna be 100 honest obviously going in next Saturday to try to punch a hole and turn the face and win obviously in my opinion it's like these next few voice stuff that far that for me pro career you know what I mean it's it's only to be fighting the the highest level oh you think I'll have another maybe three to four amateur fights with fighting guys are you know kernan's level or whatever and then I'll start uh you know look into GoPro you know I can't see myself having a modern foyer amateur you know and whatever whatever what about yourself uh ten obviously you know Kaylin's bacon absolute storm and in the program because that's where you want to join too hey hey I I don't know it was I just turned 22 there the other day I know it's not I know I'm not like so young but like look at kale as an example nobody knew who Keelan was I don't know when The Killing break onto the cage we're seeing about a year ago yeah just over a year I'd say no he's one failed off the UFC probably if Kion was out and smokes his arm he's probably gonna use the same as the UFC so if I if I won Pro after this fight at 22. and true that's you could do the exact same thing and then you're the UFC at 23 and that's too young I know that's too young I've trained I've trained and make Grande I've I've trained with UFC level gays I'm not there none of the amateurs are there none of them are none of them are even close it's such it's such a high level so I'm I'm really really I am in no rush I probably will be Pro next year I probably will be but it doesn't take long to boss through that thing if you get the cage Wars if you get that cage Wars contract so all right we'll see what happens but I'll I'll keep fighting the best answers you know I want that number one I want that number one in the UK it's got I want 10 wins and maybe I suppose I'll fight for about three times now so maybe like three battles but like I on the protein when the pro comes it comes now absolutely and look like this is going to be an absolutely incredible fight and shout out to cage conflict again like the card that I have built here is absolutely stacked and they run such a great professional show and the Devon looks like it's going to be on Wheels um max how many people are you bringing up for this fight because uh your dad John Lali said to me Ross make sure you say there's 20 tickets left in the max loudly tourables so uh have a good you know what I have a great crowd uh family friends that support me and uh what are you doing very grateful for the more when we sponsors me team coaches everyone so uh yeah I reckon I'll have 80 to 100 people coming up you know uh I'm just looking forward that's some noisy dorbs what about yourself Channel and this is almost like a homecoming show for you with you bring a few down for that as well but I I hopefully about 40 30 to 40 people um and an explosion representing FAA so they're ones we're probably up there this this place is gonna be not space and I the average I know I know what the average is like I've been there and I I cannot wait first I can't I cannot wait to be in the environment I'm gonna look across the max Pros like age we're gonna say he's gonna come out the Batman I cannot with I can't [ __ ] with yeah it's definitely going to have a a profoid feel with the with the atmosphere and the build up to it I think uh this boy I I can say a time time again like I'm probably looking forward to this fight on the car more than any other fight including the profoids yeah listen like it's as big as it gets you know what I mean no question about her like as soon as that thought it was announced you had a few people believe in Kareem and their jokes you know it's it's it's a great for you in our Fair industry you know where lame on path they don't they don't show you away from their matches you know what I mean they're trying to match the best people and my opinion that's you know the way it should be the way this this will Air everything benefit me and tearing the modern you know majority of people on the card from the level you know until 11 amateurs going at it you know when coming down the Federal Way and that's what this way before looking forward that's that's when the best crowd voice comes from people have had a few gargles in the best corner yeah as we said now no one doesn't like the Irish you know what I mean yeah yeah absolutely and Grandma's yeah just before we wrap things up the The Lads are taking on each other a cage conflict knowing from the devonish on April 1st also a couple of days to announce as well uh cage Warriors Dublin April 29th that's going down
