What a way to kick off our November card!

The amateur bantamweight title is up for grabs as Eoghan Masoliver continues his rise through the pro ranks and the vacant belt will either return over the Glenshane to Newtonards, or travel 6,000 miles east to the fighting mecca of Thailand.

Toby McNerlin, a sponsored fighter from Bangtao, flies to Ireland with plenty of experience in the bank. He has an amateur record of 14-6 and is 3-0 in amateur Muay Thai. He has won a European U21 Gold Medal in mixed martial arts and podiumed at the worlds. 

Standing in his way is a young man who has exploded onto the domestic amateur scene.
A rising talent from North Down, Mahaffy has quickly established himself as one of the region’s most promising young athletes. A strong blue belt with a well-rounded MMA game, Max put together an impressive 10-fight unbeaten run from novice through to the amateur ranks.

A former Teen Novice Akuma Featherweight Champion, his only amateur defeat came in his first title fight, losing a hard-fought decision. Max continues to develop and is determined to make his mark on the amateur scene. He deserves a shot at Irelands oldest amateur MMA strap!
