very much boys it's good to be on it's good to be on the Jimmy show is on the en Jo show baby he are funny I love it J I love it Jimmy uh tell us this we might as well start start off with uh you made the move out to bang to to uh it looks like it's going great over there we constantly see you pop up with a few Irish heads over there as well half half the M country seems to be over there H tell us this how did the move come about and what's the best part about it is it is it the weather is it the lifestyle what made you make the move bads at all you know what I mean it's [ __ ] as you can see him sitting here [ __ ] hoodie on trying to stay warm in the you know it's over there you wake up in the morning you pull on your shorts and your slides and off you go do you know what I mean so it's just it's it's Paradise for training uh especially with the caliber of coaches that you've got there and then the the lifestyle you know what I mean it's absolutely I can't wait to go back you I mean but they're just nothing like home heer boys is they not deep when you get off the plane the the first breath of fresh air you get yeah when the rain hits you no I I don't miss that part I don't miss that part oh stop and then uh obviously James um maybe things might have seemed up in the air air at the start of the year for you because obviously you know pfl of Bob Bellator um they're sort of running them coincide at the moment uh I think the Bellator Belfast show as pfl presents Bellator Belfast uh when pfl bought Bellator what way did that put you contractually and are you deloy to remain with with the sort of co-promotion or whatever way you want to put it these days yeah no it didn't it didn't affect me at all contracts stays the same uh so the contract just rolls over do you know what I mean so uh now it's been all smooth my end everything has been seamlessly it's kind of like and even now with the fight coming up it's it's pretty straightforward and pretty smooth and N has been great so it is the the transition but concerning the start when no one know even the Bel or people didn't know what was going on that was a bit like oh [ __ ] what's going on here kind of job you know what I mean to be what's the deal with contracts are they going to cut us and then resign us and try and renegotiate or or what's the deal do you know what I mean so now man I'm happy uh everything's rolled over and get the opportunity to fight in Belfast do you know what I mean got a good fight and now man I'm happy right yeah no we're we're absolutely buzzing to see you perform at Bellator Belfast but James before we get into that fight H we want to discuss your win at Bellator 298 against James Gonzalez how good to the field to get back into the cage and get your harm raised again um man was [ __ ] quality I wasn't too happy with my performance you know what I mean but I did what I had to do and uh do you know what I mean I played it safe pull out the safe card kind of thing and and just got the win you know what I mean but uh I'm looking forward to walking out here next week and just being back myself do you know what I mean I'm back in the wi C I'm walking in there a winner I'm walking in there back feeling myself do you know what I mean so I can put that swag back on the end of the shots and stuff do you know what I mean and start to advance and rather than just just trying to get the win yeah what's it called it was great to see you get the hand raised because uh I know you've been moving all over the place and like the camp you're with over in the states and stuff like you know um with James K there was H you know bit of controversy with him and stuff like that so things things went a bit all over the shop for you but uh look you came out the better man on the night and you know we expect nothing less come H Bellator Belfast as well H tell us about the opponent change obviously you're supposed to fight Jeremy Kennedy it was a number one Contender fight it was it doesn't get too often or announced too often that like on the poster it says number one Contender fight then he got bumped up for a totle fight now you're fighting a an old adversary in Leandro higo tell us how the opponent change came and is this the number one Contender fight yeah this is number one title coner fight uh that's what they have told me that I'll get the shot at the belt after I win this one um so it just came exclusive uh I don't know if it's exclusive I know it a few weeks ago when they told me so I don't know who the [ __ ] knows you me on my everyone knows now I know not you con know so the whole place know as well so we won't tell anyone exclusive for much longer is it nobody's allowed to tell anyone that's an exclusive here yeah I don't have no clue to be honest not these told me that I get the title shot after this one so it came around when P's opponent pulled out so they were I mean so it was kind of [ __ ] but Jeremy was nexted in line so that it kind of makes sense you know what I mean they can't go find someone else for Pitbull when Jeremy was next in line and I hadn't fought you know what I mean they can put me in there can they well they can do whatever the [ __ ] they want but it just wouldn't have make sense they kind of put me in there or anything you know I mean just coming after the back of my wi you I mean and did another one so it made sense for me to fight heo and for because he's [ __ ] Pit's looking for a fight fight so it's like give me heo let Jeremy fight your man then give me the winner yeah and tell us this there's been a bit back and forth over the years with Leandro heo where did the beef stem from from [ __ ] the stupid [ __ ] that rolls around wears more stupid glasses than you wear what you call Captain walks around with the big white glasses that so made absolute mock Captain Captain Eric yeah yeah yeah him it came came from him so he he's the guy that speaks for all these boys so this is the reason because when you actually speak to heagle and Pitbull and all them boys they're top Lads so they but [ __ ] Captain America over here he's [ __ ] an AG so he's the fell that runs the M for them both thinking it's funny but what he does then is gets himself in trouble because when they get translated what he's saying and they get told it and they're going yo he's he's said us us are speaking out like this they're like we didn't [ __ ] say that that was him do you know what I mean so uh he he he's putting them in the situations is is this a case of he's writing checks that his Fighters can't cash yeah absolutely one person who's gonna cash a check is Deanie James Gallagher on March 22nd DeAndre hego and then there's gonna to be a title shot next James James is there an ideal place you'd want to fight for the title absolutely me this Arena June Arena June 20 just June 20th or there's there's your second exclusive B 20th of June I don't know the date 22nd of June bellat Tor Dublin it perfect let's go we 22nd I get my get solidy myself for the shot and June 22nd I win the belt James you're giving us all the exclusives here I wonder if people are going to report that they listen to on the energize show R Us will they nah n they don't they only give us two two two EG with the glasses any credit but a story but uh James uh tell us this obviously you fought over in the states you're Victorious but I I feel like we get a different James Galler in front of the O crowd I feel I feel like you know when all all the bright lights are on you and the all the attention turns to the Jimmy show that's when we see you shine brightest 100% I can't wait for that feing g you know I mean even though I've been home and walking around my hometown and stuff you I mean I got feeling that energy again and I'm looking forward to bringing it in there with me and March 22nd and and that's what it is I carry the energy from the crowd in there with me and it just makes me feel it's just different do you know what I mean not that I love fight I mean then that I love fighting that but when you fight here it's just special do you know what I mean and it's kind of one of these it's like for me it's happened a lot but they kind of like once in a lifetime moments you know what I mean and and I just keep seeming to keep getting them and I'm just very grateful that it's another opportunity for me to get one of those moments again and I'm looking forward to going on doing it James would you have more people supporting you in in the like in the tree AR in Dublin or would you have more in the SEC in Belfast I don't know do you know what I mean it's the same same see I feel it's only up the road you I mean an hour and a half drive so I don't feel like it's going to make much of a difference you know I mean but spot Arena the ssse I'm I'm good you know what I mean so I I like Belfast Belfast a nice place you know what I mean I'll be up there a lot and and uh I like Belfast is just I'm getting around the cities a lot easier than Dublin and stuff but you just can't beat the three araer yeah the Galler gang would be out in force 100% like James just over the last couple of years like you seem to have like like obviously really matured um you haven't seem to do be doing as as much press but like you seem to be in a really good place now like what sort in your life has changed recently over the last couple years I just have to so there's a lot [ __ ] lot that's for sure but uh not you just I you go through a lot of stuff that's kind of out of your control and it's not the best kind of stuff you learn just to appreciate the good times and when the good times come you make the [ __ ] most of it man so that's just what I'm doing you know what I mean I've got my head done I'm working hard and I've got a dream to Chas and I know what I got to do to go and get it and I'm doing it do you know what I mean so I can't ask for too much more for myself and I'm just enjoying every time I'm enjoying all the good times and dealing with the bad times and just preparing for what's to come and when I just keep the head on keep working hard in the gym and it seems that the good times just keep getting better but I've just gone through a lot of personal stuff in the last couple of years and switches lot of big moves and a lot of stuff that lot of stuff that's happens that's kind of what kind of word this but like a lot of stuff that's kind of out of my control it's landed on my plate that I've just had to kind of deal with and it's been annoying and and whatever but once you get over it and you just focus on all the good stuff and you just can't help being thriving and that's what people once you're thriving it's people can see that do you know what I mean they can see the work you're putting in they can see the energy that you're putting out and uh and that's just what you're saying do you know what I mean I've got my head in a good place and standing in the gym and working hard and progressing the way I should be yeah no that's that's great to hear that you're you're coming through and you're ready to perform again at Bellator Belfast and uh Russ it's crazy to think that like James has actually been in the game so long and he's only 27 no you probably achieve more than most would ever dream of and like it feels like you're only getting started I feel I feel like we're only starting to see a fuller package of James Galler where you've put everything together yeah I feel like this is my second like run it experience do you know what I mean it's kind of like not that of a second room not a bit like kind of like I feel like I'm almost my last one was just get me to this one and then like this one's going to give me the title shot and I feel like it's my second little run out a bit I'm more mature I've got my head screwed on I don't got stuff for people on my way trying to take me away from it you know what I mean so I'm just here grinding and uh really very very focused and uh and ready for the challenges ahead yeah absolutely yeah obviously you know you're trying a bit far away from home how nice is it to get back to stban and see your mom and dad and how grounded Is that ah it's the best man you know what I mean and that's the thing I've been very grounded over the last the last year or so just been do you know I mean I've had the head down no matter where I have or what's going on I've been very gred but when you come back back it's kind of like you don't got to be as grounded because they got lots of good people around me got my mom dad my brother and they got everyone here do you know what I mean that that's around me so it's it's easy they they help me a lot so I don't got to be as grinded in myself because I got so much help you know bit of distress off the brain which is nice and saying that that you do you TR train up farther further away than uh normal for this ho H tell us this who's going to be in your corner Fight Night H George Hickman Conor McBride and as always big daddy Keith y to kefir ke the most terrifying man in me they finish off the last the last bit bit of training happy days hopefully we see kefir back in in in the oone soon H can't wait to see him get back in there as well cuz uh Australia on short not isn't isn't nice well that's for sure someone knows how that like travel Australia but I've done some in [ __ ] long ass flights trust me it's not fun it's not fun yeah I think you'd know something about that James James just speaking like you were saying that you want to fight for the title in Dublin in June like when you just look over the next the next like maybe year or two like how active do you want to be with Bellator or potentially even with pfl I want to be going every four months that's why I would like to fight every four 45 months I think is perfect so just keep the ball rolling let's let's get it done you know what I mean just go month to recover another couple months training camp and then go again yeah see the way like see the way like batt tour and pfl have been doing competitions or tournaments like do you do you like that style or do you just prefer KN that you just have a fight no I would like the tournament because it kind of do you know mean it's four fights over one year which is it's a hard push but it's a hard push for one year do you know I mean keeps you locked in and then you can take six months off if you want and A Millie in the bank that would go far far in Thailand wouldn't it yeah depends depends who's spending a it yeah yeah okay I think J James just looking at the bellor Belfast card as well bar your own fight what other fight in the card you actually really looking forward to seeing Pito versus Jeremy Kennedy okay yeah that's the one where my eyes are lock it yeah absolutely you know what I mean like you have to you have to keep an eye on on the division and see what's up so uh will we be seeing a James got her face off with the winner afterwards in the cage probably I don't know probably I haven't been great idea I just had Bor definitely rob it and go with it but since he organized I might just B over myself and see what's yeah you can boun bounce bounce can afford over St off his head cream mad wouldn't with a good for off the okay thr the empty can on his head the empty got to be serious this is going to be a serious interview yeah we're always very serious that's that's why we have to yeah can you be serious you to I don't know I actually don't know but uh James like you're obviously very busy you're going to be doing a ton of media I'm sure you're probably going to be the most interviewed person in the buildup to the event is there anything you want to say to the people in the buildup to Bellator Belfast tune into the Jimmy show is going to be the best one yet so it isn't going to come out here very calculative very focused and the I'm going take this guy's head off it's going to be it's going to be an entertaining show that's for sure sure a few little little things got in the pipelines you know I mean for the walk out and whatever else going on so it's and remember to the people that are all coming that you're not allowed Flags into the venue the security is going to search you going in so he's got to put them somewhere somewhere safe where they're not going to take them office well we're to the glasses we're gonna have to put the glasses in and it kind of for our St yeah 100% you know what I mean remember the last time there was a people put them in the inside of their coats you know from one sleeve to the other it is so heads up we get creative the lawers do when when when you're told you can't have something it makes you want it even more but uh it's going to be an incredible night H I don't know what the tickets s are like but I definitely recommend get them sooner rather than later because uh it's very rare that a Jimmy show doesn't sell out so uh get on it do you do you have a ticket link or anything James or uh on tiet Master just let everyone B away that so is me yeah see me [ __ ] counting all this numbers how much you're old and that or whatever do you know I mean so I leave it all to the the other guys that are not maybe as getting paid as much or whatever they can get a few quid off them and whatever
