man it is the only woman signed to the UFC from the island of Ireland it is the one and only Mama B Shauna Bannon shaa how you doing good good Harry is doing good doing feeling very forged very forged very forged yeah smoothest and creamiest in the game you know what I mean if you want to point his for out you'll see sha Bon pouring them in the black for in from time to time I'm actually was on the ball I was like yeah the little angles and all I have it there you have it there you have it no no messing no messing sure look you know the technique is Flawless in in and outside the Octagon you know there we go man next stop the lights stop the lights but H come here sha H obviously uh we might as well get straight into you were scheduled to compete on the 30th of March in Las Vegas and that fight doesn't seem to be happening anymore do you want to tell us what happened yeah 22 the marches off um I was my first week into camp and I was supposed to rest on the Sunday and I didn't cuz I hate resting and I went early to drill and I was literally Drilling and it was a freak accident I my leg got caught and the body landed on top of me and I tore me miniscus and it flipped back around on itself so went got the MRI very hard to get an MRI in Ireland by the way or jail anyways went eventually got an appointment went to get the MRI um went in and the girl was like do you have extensions in your hair and I was like yeah and she was like we can't do that more I bearing in mind I had rang every place in the country I was nearly going to England to get an M because I couldn't get one it was ridiculous like you need to take your extensions out so I had to go back home get me extensions take it out go back in get the MRI then I met the surgeon and he was like yeah you need surgery he was like it's just going to be one of them things that will cause you niggles for the rest of your life I couldn't even put pressure on me foot because the way it tore it didn't just Hur like it flipped around so it was just [ __ ] so we had to shave it off I only had to wait a week for the surgery so nearly five weeks into my rehab now I'm pretty much able to do nearly everything already um so it's been really fast recovery and successful surgery so I'm happy with everything um just unfortunate that I'm out this fight I was hopeful that they might have keeping the same opponent um but I get like she won or well she drew our fight in the contender series that was months ago so she's probably eager to fight as well so we may fight again for the down the line I was hopeful that they just maybe drag it out a couple of shs um but yeah I'm I'm eager to get back again and probably be back grappling next week or the week after um and then other than that I can pretty much do everything I can still do pads was like two days later I was doing a full leg workout like so I got straight back into it there was no waiting around um yeah so that's the crack with that yeah sh was that the worst injury of your career so far yeah like I've been looky like I think other than that I've only really broken me nose and that's like you can still pretty much do everything when you break your nose you know what I mean just void contact for a couple of weeks but um yeah definitely the worst one I think Jiu-Jitsu on the knees isn't the one was actually I was wrestling I was doing a wrestling movement and uh me life just got caught and it literally the way came in on top I knew straight away it was something bad because I couldn't put pressure on me foot and with that obviously you were expected to start your own Redemption story back back uh looking to get back in the wind colum how much effect did that have on your personally knowing that that date was pushed out do you know what lads like I think my last fight like I don't think I've ever like had a loss like that before was really I was offered a contract to the ofc I nearly wasn't getting it then I eventually got released from invictor got the contract and then I felt like I was just in the catch and Bruce Buffer was in front of me calling me name out and it was just I was getting dragged Here There and Everywhere throughout the camp it was a short Camp anyway and I was getting dragged everywhere for I wasn't able to focus on myself and focus on the job that needed to get done um and like sorry for interrupting but like you were getting posted everywhere like you were on with with TNT like like all over Instagram like it was just you they were promoting you like anything it was uh I'm not surprised yeah no and come here like I didn't I didn't feel it at the time it was only after reflexing back I was like what the [ __ ] like on the fight day itself I they were doing an embedded series on me because it was like fre de bitton and they were like uh paty the bad doing one got so many views and it'd be really good and like what I didn't have to do it they asked me and me and Petty sat down and we're like yeah let's do it but like looking back now I probably shouldn't have done that because I woke up there were in my bedroom came to breakfast for me they were there and I was packing me bag like i' normally have a little nap on fight day and just my whole routine was different then I got to the arena I got drug tested so and I was like the second fight so we literally got there there was a big delay with traffic cuz getting through London was mental so we were only there I got drug tested you have to fill out all the forms all the supplements all the everything that took ages and I wanted to be just focusing on me fight I was doing all that then I went in and they were you're up in 20 minutes so I literally got to do like three tails with Paddy and the pads and Collie and it was just like go and like you know like normally you're waiting at the door to walk and you're waiting ages and the nerves kicking and every I was Norm like I wasn't nervous I wasn't anxious I wasn't excited I wasn't anything I was Norm like I was actually it was like an outer body experience I was just Norm so like there was a lot that I learned from it but it was was it was very tough and then like it was a long stretch to not have a fight either like that's why I went and I on the world and jiujitsu because like I need competition like I since jce was born I had 11 fights he only went three Before Christmas I've been in fight Camp since my son is born alongside wearing him and doing everything that you have to do to be a sing like alongside a single mother and it was just go go go go and then I probably didn't digest a lot of things in the first two years of his life and then when I got to slow down it was like everything just came to the surface and yeah I had a bad few months like I did but um and then I thought when I got the fight sign and I was like I'm on the other side of it come back and then that injury happened so um get sorry but yeah it's been a crying as well Shan I'm crying as well um like I always say everything happens for a reason and sometimes I don't see it now sometimes takes a few months or a few years even but I know why that happened with this fight I I needed that injury to lock on on me person rest of my life and I wasn't ready to go into a fight Camp to I wouldn't have been able to give it 100% mentally a fight Camp right now so yeah slow down one thing we did see was you got an award there recently can you tell us about that yeah so the the mayor award that was for winning the the world IND Jitsu so like the speech he gave was lovely cuz like he was going back to me kickboxing days and the fact that I'm World Champ in tree Sports and it was lovely I had all my friends and family there it was lovely evening and I don't think like that's not really something that happens often with um MMA because I think MMA gets a little bit of hate I suppose uh in comparison to other sports so it was it was really nice to get that recognition for the MMA kickboxing and Jitsu together yeah Ross we were disappointed not to be invited weren't we no what like I actually I actually didn't know how big of a thing it was until I got there like there was food for about 100 people I was like I only asked a few people I felt bad then I was like I could have asked the whole bed Nation like it was thing but I didn't realize how big of a thing it was until it was happening and I was like [ __ ] why didn't I ask more people yeah we we asked Patty and Chelsea could we come and they say no didn't he R [ __ ] oh S no but look obviously incredible to win obviously like you're an inspiration to many especially uh amongst the Tyler area as well so that's that's great to see that you've been uh recognized but by your own people as well which I suppose is that a little bit more special and uh I'm sure that was a proud moment for uh from your dad as well for uh obviously he runs tler martial art so uh what what did he say to you on the day I was delighted because the TMA was actually in a couple of weeks before because there was a few that W the world in kickboxing so they got one a few weeks before and that he was delighted was over he's always proud of me and the absolutely yeah I suppose one thing I do want to talk on obviously you were saying you having a bit of a tough time and the injury came maybe you weren't ready for this fight but uh one person you're very very close with who had a tough time in recent but has turned it around uh Meb Molly McAn what have you what have you taken from seeing what Molly's gone through and how she's come through that on the other side it's just inspirational because like realistically she should have just [ __ ] walked away from ages ago with the like the hate that she gets online like it's it's [ __ ] mental like I just I don't get it because she's [ __ ] down her country proud down everyone around her proud like she's literally she went down she could have just said [ __ ] this but she didn't she dug deep and she went back and the finish that she got like that round in that fight was like just pure MMA she showed grappling she showed wrestling she showed her striking like even her spinning [ __ ] and all this like she showed everything in that one round like it just shows how hard she put like all the hard work she put in the camp do you know what I mean and she deserved it and like hopefully she does just go on a little run now do you know what I mean like Petty always says to me it's like this and then I'm like go up and then down and like I'm there now and I can feel that and he was there as well and then he was like it's just going to show up and that's that's what I'm hoping for you know what I mean and that's what I'm working towards and once I saw everything out in my mind and my personal life I think the next few years is just going to be go go go and win win win and I'm really looking forward to it I'm only at the start of Me pro career like I'm only six fights in I have so much more to give yeah yeah shout to Molly shout out to Molly as well dedicating that win to Ryan Curtis as well yeah yeah unreal deadly I think with that as well sha I think like going from F fighting on the local Regional scenes here to then like fighting the UFC is like such a shock to the system as well that like you know I mean like all that Medium press and all that coverage and you know your social media blow blown up and all that it's very hard to ignore that with with the fight coming hand in hand you know what I mean so h i I can definitely understand why um that come getting the way come fight week so I will say though you do have an excellent team around you um you know you've stayed true to your team as well like your team is the same from day one how much do they mean to you everything like paty literally like he doesn't just care about me and fighting he cares about me in life him and Chelsea the two of them like I'm so so so lucky to have them like throughout my pregnancy they were there for me like everything in my life they helped me for like you know I mean it's not just they don't just care about MMA and the money and that like not that I've made any money yet but like you know I haven't but you know what I mean um it's like it's just genuine and I think it makes that difference and even that reflects then into my corner then when when he's calling for something and I just do it instantly because I trust him so much and I know that that's the right thing to do like it's not like I think that's really hard to build and I always find it so strange when I see people hopping from gym to gym because I'm like how can you trust them in your corner your next fight is always the biggest fight of your life and you're dealing with someone you only know from your fight Camp I just find that mad like I find that mad but like yeah paty and col the two of them and even John Conor is me strength conditioning coach like I'd be lost with them all they're just they're such genuine people and they just want you to do well do you know what I mean yeah I I remember in the bill up to the fight as well I think Patty put up the story up saying that everyone over in the UC think Patty and Collie are brothers to be fair like same but different isn't it it's just funny it's just like they must be brothers the whole team was just the ginger s like strawberry blond hear Ginger now it's it's strawberry blonde it right strawberry blond sorry sir I look like absolute salt to the Earth people bit like yourself you know what I mean unbelievable to see uh one one thing you touch on there uh I'd like to ask about was obviously you went over to Vegas for the jiujitsu world championship and uh obviously you picked up the gold medal over there uh there was a massive outpour of emotion when when you won that final match how much did that mean to you and how good did it feel to you back to any ways yeah it was unre like the the week before that I genuinely I wasn't even going to go and everyone was like just go just go because the competition was do good cuz people know how I am you know I mean I've done competition my whole life and I was like oh I just really didn't want to leave Jason I was like oh well like go won't I and then I ended up gone and like it was really nice to get them like my first fight I was actually so nervous in the first round I was like we like him and Han but then after that I was like the [ __ ] cuz they go for them girls like and that's their like that's the way they are the way I am with MMA you know what I mean I like I to get hyped up in the second fight I was like [ __ ] this let's go so had a little pep talk in the corner and then I H did I choke yeah I got got choke and then that that one and then IR bar in the last round so yeah it was good it was good to get that competition back in and then to be around because then I was around the lads from the UFC the whole week in the pi and I got a fight the week after that you know what I mean so it's just nice to put your face in and be like don't forget about me and tell us this obviously the UFC P you never know who's going to be there who's who the coolest person you've seen in the ufcp bar baral of course bar yeah yeah yeah I'm trying to think those [ __ ] load there it was just like this is mad like everybody was just I feel like so many of them are based in Vegas like and you can see how it is because the pi literally looks after just so well like all your field is done all your physio all your snc like everything is just done for you and then the facilities that they have like so you can see why so many people moved there I was hoping to see day we went to the card on the Saturday night I was like if I see in here I'm going to ask him to build a crush in the P me and J be like see it can you get your washing and ir and done there as well oh don't be short I'm not messing like they look at you some you just go up book all your food got all your supplements book into the phys like it's just everything's just there it's great and then it's a good atmosphere as well because like some people are at start of fight Camp some people are at the end and it's just you know like it's steadly and when you're poking in obviously this is going to be a sort of one just like a random question but uh for for those at home who obviously you've never been to the ufcp when you're booking in like your team or whatever how many people can you bring with you at a Time s six I think okay that's a lot like I suppose yeah well I but like then like there was people there doing like full training sessions with the whole team so like there's like a matted area and there's two cages and then there's another like matted area and the Big M area like most of the time there was like classes going on it was like there was wrestling classes there like every morning it was right like can I jump in on that or like yeah should actually do like a weekly show of people dropping in to the pi and just pull it up on YouTube and see what the story is All it get loads of views because it's like the facilities on yeah it's great for networking sh if you were to come like when you come back is there somewhere ID you like to fight because there is talks of cage Warriors man sorry U Manchester um they haven't announced any other European shows but like would you ideally be fighting in America America or would Manchester be would you be interested in that I don't give a [ __ ] where it is I just want to fight like I gen the location like I was happy that my next fight was in Vegas because I know the S there and like and I know where everything is I had my little hot yoga studio I had like I had like the whole setup so I wasn't just going and not known and as well I only went for like six nights so I was going to planning gone for two weeks because the time difference and like I really got affected by the time difference there like been to Korea and [ __ ] places Opps side of the world and I never had yet like like the way I did from Vegas so like I was like okay I probably would have only went a week but I'm glad now that I know so I was going to go two weeks out and yeah so there was like a few things that I kind of picked up on for being in Vegas but like i' in with and Victor we went to Denver we went to Oklahoma and you do find your your [ __ ] like pretty fast you know what I mean you just do the research beforehand so like I really it it doesn't matter like I don't care once like a a 5 S like I'm hoping to be back for J and everything should be back to normal by then so yeah we'll definitely be announcing it when it when it goes uh when it is officially announced sh um over the weekend you were also doing commentary at cage Legacy 20 one of the biggest shows arand has ever had what did you make at the event overall Sean really really good like I think each show just keeps getting better and better and it's really professional like to know I mean like it's fair place to the lads on the team like it's it's growing growing and growing every show and it was decent fights even not even the last one the one before that and that was all people mostly making their JB was actually really good like there was good talent for people just like making their debut on so early on in their career and then there was obviously Pro fights the weekend but really really good George W his fight Clinic performance literally dominated did you see that yeah yeah he's he he's H someone who I feel like might struggle to get matched at times as well now he's turned Pro I feel like he's he's one of those ones who's like probably already at a stage where he's sort of a three four five F person already even though he's one know a pro and people aren't going to be putting their hand up to step across the cage from that fell but he he looks really good yeah if F can pay people to fight him yeah I was going to I was going to say that like uh obviously uh in terms of H and martial arts like you're obviously leading the charge there he's now joined the pro ranks there um seems to be uh th those uh bodies in around Patty's weight seem to be really excellent there yeah that's the one isn't it it's great that we have him to be able to doal [ __ ] with because he's so good at mimicking a body like it's actually it's strange how good he is at you like he just be like my next opponent he'd be figh and I'm like oh my God that's really good you're fighting exactly lik him and he's like yeah I know so good it's weird how good like it's mad I be like whoa shout out to Georgie um also just for people tune in in now are you going to be coming for Laura sano's job next as well let's go why not that's an exclusive R Us yeah man B can do it all man B can do it all uh obviously U the the show actually looked looked better than previous I don't know whe it was in the warehouse or not but like uh it looked like the best show of the done to date uh set the way the ring or the cage was and then it was like around and then the were up high as well do you know what I mean it was it was a nice little setup was quite like compact if that makes sense it reminds me of the ukfc show in Liverpool I one of them for it was like there was a lower level and a higher level so it was nice it was good good yeah exactly and I think also like obviously Conor McCarthy also made pro debut as well that was a incredible head kick knockout fair play to him massive Prospect and then uh H incredible gu for the card and the promotion uh Richie smen and looks like he wants to fight in the next cage Legacy as well so uh he he's looking to follow follow the m b route into the UFC by the by the sounds of uh the way he's talking 100% he's been there before and I think I think he deserves to go back again like he has serious Talent like he's is wrestling and jitu his next level and then his striking is there as well so there's no reason why he shouldn't be back in the UFC and he just kind of needs to rack up them fights and get recognized again and pop his face and and be like hello Sammy yeah he definitely has some unfinished business there H sha are you going to be commentating a cage legy 21 that's going to be going down on the 24th of March in me yeah I'm taking Browner J now I'm getting okay someone has to do that I know I wouldn't be able to I like just sitting at the desk and having the chats and doing it like that's fine but yeah the team was the team is good there's good chemistry there between yourself Browner and Nathan Kelly as well yeah no it's actually good the TR of us together because it's a little bit of the female side the male male side and then Browner he knows everything about him yeah why you be there reading his notes like he put serious effort yeah e there going yeah and George had three scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast this morning you know I mean like the man does research and fairness to him he does doesn't he be reading that before the show like that all the information so many people like in the amateur scene like there's so many they're just popping out of everywhere a't they yeah yeah he not again there you are he has he has notes on people making their amateur debut like exactly Browner Browner has yeah great have someone like Browner there covering it and like having so much information about everyone as well for the people tuning in as well 100 yeah yeah but uh Sean just can't wait to put that into the cage because like I've been working with sports psychologists and mindset coaches and so I'm working a lot on my mind because I think I was just an autopilot for a lot of me since I came back from J I was just an autopilot a lot of the time and [ __ ] whatever else for them yeah so like I I've working a lot on my mind and mindset and the psychology side of it as well so I'm really excited to get back in and show and my skill set obviously I've been working L on that but I've done a full Jiu-Jitsu Camp which I never really got to do before either like because I was always just focusing on the MMA side so I feel like me Jiu-Jitsu has leveled up as well um so yeah really excited to get back in there doing what I love there you have it folks hold off on booking those summer holidays yeah I'm M be fighting na but it's coming June July um um for the summer so get get your summer holidays booked in Jun sorry not July uh can't wait to see it and it's will have a special guest on it is tan lran who's going to be competing on the card and then after that we will be going over U 298 u300 and all the energized questions ver us the special guest is in for this is all for this this start as a as a professional MMA fers you know I'm a I'm absolutely buzzing but you know what it is it's a it just feels it it feels normal feels like another fight week it doesn't feel like I'm fighting the davish on Saturday night that's just that's another day to me now like I'm just so I'm so comfortable there now so um it's the same as it always is but no I'm I'm very excited now looking forward yeah so we yeah and the L's always put on a phenomenal show it's run so well um I can't wait see it um I even said last week that obviously cage Legacy was on and there was a lot of hype for Conor McCarthy but I was like I think uh a lot of people need to turn the r to turn lock around as well and give him the same mental Credence that Conor McCarthy's getting because at the end of the day you know I mean like you're one of the best prospects this country has to offer I can't wait to see what you do at uh at Pro and obviously uh my first question is obviously your brothers had unbelievable success in the Pro ranks do you feel like that adds any pressure to you to carry the lock around name uh no absolutely not no I was going to try and think some there but no um I'm I'm own it's my own career like it's got a having King there is only a bonus if I seen that as a pressure or I seen that as a I don't know a disadvantage in anyway I I feel that be stupid um no there's AB there's absolutely no pressure on me H and that withs I have you have to win on Saturday night I if I go and lose on Saturday night it's a it's definitely a bad start to the proker so I don't plan to do that but as far as ke goes and trying to achieve what he's achieved that's a no I wouldn't I wouldn't even think of it that way at all um it's I I only see it as a good thing having them there is there any sort of friendly rivalry between the two years do you do you ever say like you know I'll get that cage warri belt sooner than you got or anything anything along those lines just for a bit of crack H I don't know if I'd come out with that one because I probably wouldn't do it they want like they not want like seven months yeah yeah he pretty fast yeah I he went through it he went through it pretty quick maybe I'll get at a younger age I think he was like 26 uh I would probably give him I would probably give him that one but uh as far as going through C quicker than he did that would be that would actually be quite tough but it give it a good go look I love it I love it and uh tell this turn obviously um you were over living with kayin over in Liverpool and you were training in team hon and since that you've come back back back home and you're training out to fight Academy Ireland one of the best gyms in the country um tell us what's it like now that you've had a few this must be what your second or third camp now in fight Academy Ireland what's it like uh having that many camps under the belt and how good does it feel to really integrate yourself part of that team I think it's my Fifth Fifth is it jeez you're flying through them you're flying through hey [ __ ] me last year I fought last lavy H yeah two two titles and two title defenses so yeah that's five this is my sixth this is the six you know what you've been running through so so many people it's actually hard to keep up with in the what's it called last year to be honest a lot of a lot of bodies but yeah um as far this six fade camp in I actually think it'll be about a year since I've been in fight Academy yeah that that was more that was more what I was getting obviously it's more the time span as opposed to the fight camps I'd say yeah um yeah every every single I feel like I'm improving every single time on under Pat and lamb when I when I went to fight Academy that was the one thing I said I was like I would never ask for my training to be this way or I would never ask that like whatever my coaches want to do that is completely down to them I would I would always said but the one thing I asked for was fights I just said like that that's the one reason like I I need to get active part I just haven't I hav't getting fights and sure look what they done they they got me six fights and or this will be my sixth fight in the space of even 10 months I don't even think it is a year L was April last year in the space of 10 months um so even that aspect the M they brought me on on fight night and then the the the training the gym they've uh I think everyone can see that though from my performances they brought me on leaps and Bs look so m no I couldn't be happier couldn't be happier yeah that fight against Max as well like the hype for that fight was like off the rails I I don't think I'd seen anything like that for an amateur fight like the way we actually did the face off and the buildup and he both challenged each other for the energized glasses like that was that was good crack as well but uh I think ever since that the I think people are looking looking at yourself in a different light and they can see what talent is there I know Ross you were just touching on it there but like you're you keep going from strength to strength and it seems like the whole country are really really they they can't wait to see it perform this weekend on the 24th do you do you feel do you feel like you're getting like more support from the from Ireland absolutely I can't of feel like I feel like me and ke were over in Liverpool and obviously we talked about a [ __ ] and we always we we talked a we we talked to we sh and we kind of got a bad name and I feel like when I came to fight Academy everyone got a bit of a shock they're like oh he's actually quite he's actually quite a nice guy but uh no it's I would like I I would never want the obviously it's good to have the support and as far as like I M fly at the minute I would absolutely hate not to be part of that like to be excluded from that in a separate group because I would that would never work um so no all the all the sport I can get would be uh would would always be appreciated but as far as the L fight like even I even look back in that L fight obviously H the fight went how it went but just from getting so the difference you me in the L fight and even say like the Ry ly fight just night and day like just that getting that run of fights in between knowing where I went wrong um and that's down to Paton lame too so now I'm a I'm a different fighter from from the day I entered fight Academy to the day now I would run through that guy in I would I would give him five minutes and I'd be blown out of my ass because I'd be so exhausted with the just trying to handle fight know now I would I would run through that guy 100% yeah well look like uh I wouldn't doubt it your running results uh since that fight have been really really impressive um fighting on cage conflict and fighting on your uh you've ran through a lot a lot of buddies there and like like you said you've got the activity that you wanted to um I suppose the question is where do you want to guide your career do you obviously with fight Academy Ireland sort of the standard is turn pro do one or two fights on cage conflict and then look to get a cage Warriors contract is that what you're looking at uh no I don't think so I'm not there's been a few things spoke about but nothing confirmed obviously case conflict is the is the way now I'm not 100% sure what the plan is after that but I'm in I'm in absolutely no rush to go to cage Wars I actually think I'll probably take a year out to cage yours because I don't want to go and sign a I don't want to go and sign a de I was actually talking to my sister about this is one I don't want to go and say a deal with cage Wars and then be like like holding myself back from that top five because I lit I it sound maybe it sounds talking maybe I'm wrong I don't know people can doubt me if they want but I wouldn't fear one guy in that top five in that F Division I wouldn't fear any of them so like if I was offered that fight I would find it very very hard to turn down especially in especially in six months time when I know I'm I'm going to be even better under fight Academy or in a year's time I would find that fight very hard to turn down and maybe you could start to convince yourself that you're ready for that but it's where that fight leads you to like say you beat that top five guy all right he's flying he could fight for the cage Wars belt soon you fight for the cage Wars belt [ __ ] me you win it now you're talking about the UFC D Contender seies and you're maybe 24 years old like I just I don't I don't want that I don't need that so like taking a year out KS build myself as a pro build that professional frame more experience and then when I hit cage Wars my plan is just get the Bel get to the UFC so are you sort of saying you'd rather for the next year maybe just keep head like start headlining and keep headlining cage conflict yeah maybe maybe I'm I would still love to get moving about like I would still love to uh get traveling and stuff H different shows not necessarily I I don't I don't mind fighting k h to figh K comp but anywhere lit literally anywhere and hey if you can get paid for doing it I would take it you may as well sign the best contracts that are available if buys are com with better others on the fight suits and you can make a bit of money to make this life that bit easier because it's [ __ ] tough luck especially when I was an amateur for the last year you're I was training like a professional but I was getting nothing I can go out and make my year my Year's training a lot easier by taking a fight somewhere I don't know want to fight that suits I'll I'll I'll do that yeah r discussing that last week on last week's show yeah absolutely I think um especially when you turn pro like I don't think there's definitely a necessary need to rushia but I think like for newly turned Pros like there was the likes of like apfc Anthony pis promotion was over in the UK last year I'm sure they'll be back some stage this year uh levels over in h Holland I think kin actually fought in that one stage and like there there are another promotion who uh are sort of helping Fighters with uh less boats less professional boats so like there are a few around if you wanted to you know go across the UK or going into Mainland Europe whatever and then even um I think J Harris fought on apfc over in the US as well so like you know there are shows that you can you know align your goals to that will uh will definitely work out for you in your favor so I think it's uh definitely good to keep your options open and good to have plan it's good that you seem to have a plan in place here 100% I I'm sure like J har I actually didn't know that he thought was that apfc was it in America yeah I think it was like Milwaukee or something or 1000s what an experience that is like like the America next week it would have been great if K had fought in America before this like I'm not saying that's going to be a hindrance at all but likei for J and you'll learn you get you're not just it's not the same you're flying there's a lot going on you have to deal with all that getting something in your pro career so if I could I don't know if I get something like that I'd be happy but I'm not saying if get mov about Europe or any like that just stuff just different but there's been there's been talks there there's been options there so uh have see what happens yeah well one thing's for sure no matter what like what card someone from Fai is fighting on the amount of the support they get is absolutely unre as well Ross isn't it yeah it's h like if if you go up to the devonish ever for a cage conflict it's an absolute cauldron of venue and if you're not an Fai fighter and you're fighting Fai Fighter the crowd's going to let you know all about it um also to add to that like if you go to the cage Warriors shows and like the absolute ruptures for uh when Patty mcari won his last fight or when Paul Hughes won his last fight down in duin like that was absolutely insane H sure we even saw what happened when kayin went and won the belt uh um over in Italy you know what I mean like if there's an Irish man fighting on a card that they'll bring maybe 30 or 40 buddies but those 30 or 40 buddies will make the noise of a thousand men [ __ ] right well there wasn't a how many was there in at I think there was I think there was 10 of us or maybe like 12 um that that was [ __ ] nuts and then the the Italians be the [ __ ] that was after that's it that's it's one all against the Italians beat his arm then they kick the [ __ ] out of us and now I'm going to get your man this weekend I'm gonna get on I'm gonna lavel the score I'm gonna make it two1 we definitely can't wait for it are you is K going to be coming over to watch your fight and I take it are you going to be going over to Atlantic City as well to support K yeah uh definitely ke's over he's not coming to Friday night but it doesn't matter he was saying about the way cut now but I'm fighting at late right now so or figh light for this fight doesn't really matter um him he's in on the Friday night and he's home on the Sunday and Atlantic City I I'm a I'm 99% sure I'm going it's [ __ ] very expensive expensive but you never know you just don't know like his next fight I know there's talks of I actually heard there's talks of Kord in Manchester yeah so I would assume ke be on that so that's an easy one to get there like you can you go to that Manch [ __ ] you can go there for 30 quid like these days over watching keale in Atlantic City like that's and ree ree is fighting too like you're only going to get these days so much I was actually talking about that this week I'm H I'm definitely I'm definitely GNA try and get I'll figure out yeah well make make sure you know who's good for a bit of cash that poister fell say I would say so I'll try and get a sort before that if comes down us tan just make sure when you're booking your flights they're to Manchester in England not knock down it tal and clean out so definitely shoot in for him just just for the proofit and then Henry Henry's tring like a [ __ ] mulate's he's hard um so I tune in tun in see Henry [ __ ] big could be a big year for him that flyweight scene is it's there for the Tak like even in cage Wars and everything so definitely uh definitely keep an eye out for him yeah and shout out to everyone involved that was uh what happened wasn't easy but now if H if everyone can't get a little bit more motivation from ran and the [ __ ] what he's shown what he's made over the last few weeks um something badly bottom and work our way up um what a performance from Oban obviously he got rocked in the first by Val Woodburn H he came back and it was a really dominant performance um he showed all aspects martial arts he uh was he was still good on the feet after getting rocked um show great wrestling and he was constantly looking for for that finish with the rear naked choke as well um I thought he looked great throughout the entire fight bar obviously maybe the first 30 seconds and then uh obviously it was really cool to see him meet CH on and meet see him punk what a guy outan area was living out his dreams and I was here for it yeah know same the thing is right in the Bill of Richard sh put out a post saying he thought that the fight was on 185 pound and then they had to cut loads more weight was that a joke yeah that was a joke that was a joke it was a very good joke that uh obviously shaky was uh catching the internet because the amount of people were like oh my God that team's so unprofessional how do they not read the contract these guys are idiots etc etc uh but obviously they they were breaking their heart laugh at them um it seemed like an easy enough white C for for for the Welsh gangster yeah do you know what fot I'd like to see next for auan Ed I'm GNA will I guess or will I let you say it because I think I know what you're gonna say I already said it but I mean but like oh yeah I think Oben Elliot versus kefir Crosby at UC Manchester would actually be brilliant yeah I think I definitely be here for it massive fan of both guys H I think both guys come come to next we saw Ian Maad Gary um pick unanimous decision win oh sorry Split Decision win over uh Jeff Neil um I thought he and Gary won I didn't really score for Jeff or I didn't really see how it could have been scored for Jeff Neil H I thought the first round uh was close enough but uh to me and the second round actually wasn't too far apart but uh I I definitely think in W I wasn't sitting there going oh come the third round in really needs to pull this out of the bag I thought H he looked to be the better fighter uh I felt like you know he did a great job of not getting hit as much and hitting Jeff Neil more uh he fired up one or two like lovely knees up the middle uh I thought it was quite a classy performance for me and Gary and look you know as I say whether you love him or you hate him he's got the skills to pay the bills one way or the other he is on the verge of being a top five UFC Welter wave Fighter um and you know what I know he's getting a lot of backlash at the moment and he's getting a hard time from all fans and fans fans are far but um at the end of the day he's the best fter this country's had since Conor McGregor yeah um felic Ian was on a bit of a damage control tour during the week um for instance when the press conference went down you only got asked one question and if this was UFC 296 he was about to be the biggest like he would have got asked a load of questions by a lot of people and then to ask one at the press conference it was very very strange yeah it was sort of a a question off the back of a question to Jeff Neil as well it was a backhanded question for his opponent first yeah and then I saw a lot of stuff on X people saying that Ian's not doing any Irish media why isn't he doing any Irish media and um the thing is for people tuning in we actually we didn't ask Ian to come on the show in the buildup like obviously we would have had him on like but we had him on in the buildup to his last fight and he still hasn't fought so we're sort of going to be asking the same questions again and then I saw he eventually jumped on with s like like after the press conference on a Friday which was very late like yeah it seems to be very very sort of like I can't remember the last time I saw a fighter J interview after the Press after weighin yeah that way that wasn't a a BT sports or TNT Sports whatever you want to called him at the weigh-in I think he must have seen the backlash man cuz like when he was coming out he was getting bued he he didn't seem to really enjoying that he also went on with Lydia Dez dolls on be FM which is a a radio station in Cork no I don't even think that's cork I think it's like loud or something sorry for the people who tuning the beat or it could be Wexford or something which is very strange but um obviously Lea's friends with Lydia so like maybe it's not that strange but um when you when you're looking at that I think I think he was like right I need to get more Irish people talking about my fight and backing me up and like no person every every Irish person we post people like support them some people say whatever but with Ian a lot of people were like responding to him um like hating on him um I think I think he's going to have to sort that out in the future because uh excuse the P I think he's gonna have to sort that out in the future because um look when he goes in there he does the job nobody ever says he's a [ __ ] fighter and that's like you can't deny that but even the way when he was walking out then like Lea was there they keep the camera kept panning back to Lela as if it was like an NFL game and it was like Kansas City Chiefs and they were going to Taylor Swift in in the audience everyone knows what's going on it's um hopefully he just looks like pays it not pays a back but sort of looks TR tries to carry the Irish MMA scene with him the way Connor did the way he's like one of us goes to war we all go to war if one of us go to war we all go to war rather than saying stuff like I'm going to be too big to fight in Ireland um yeah I think I think sometimes he actually doesn't have bad intentions and he just words it wrong at times I think I think I think he what he actually meant to say or what I'm hoping me say is that he doesn't want Dana White to say oh that's that venue isn't big enough to host a UFC Fight Night where you was the headliner or whatever I think that's what he sort of was like auding not that like I'm too big to fight in Ireland type of thing H I think that's what he sort of meant and I think that's that's where I would hope well that's what I would hope he meant from it I think uh at times like you know when he says I want to represent Brazil and you know he sort of like I want to live and die here in Brazil I think sometimes that like also rubs up some of the orangish fans the wrong way um like I know he even even the green shorts man I like were were the green shorts the original plan he never really wears the green shorts he could have had the yellow ones ready to go and he's like no no no no Chang them the green butt well you know what it's it's hard it's hard to know like it's hard to know because he probably has both he probably has both pairs in the bag at all times anyway because I think he wore the yellow shorts when he was over training SVG Ireland um and at the end of day the thing is you know what he needs to do he needs to start saying a few jokes as well everything's just so serious it like he needs to crack a few jokes like show off a bit of like Irish personality as well and like it's just constantly just talking about like defending his family like I mean you need to see more of the personality rather than like he's he's a dad he's a husband like show a bit more personality when we met him for the first time years ago like he had he cracked a few jokes he was funny and like I haven't seen that sort of his personality come out hopefully that comes out in the future because if he is to headline a UC Dublin at some stage he's going to need to have a bit more personality like for more endearing for him to be more endearing to the public to to Rob of like a few American terms I think he's constantly playing defense at the moment uh I feel like he needs to come out with maybe a a few Li harded bits where it's uh you know maybe even if you came back to Ireland at some stage and did like a you know a video walk around the street saying like these are his favorite things to do or this what he used to do when he lived here something along those lines I don't know but uh I feel like the connection isn't as strong as it should be for how good he's deing and I'm not saying when he comes here he doesn't get a massive reception I'm sure he does I'm sure anyone when they see him you know it's really nice to him and anytime we've actually seen him face to face in person it's always been a very pleasant interaction I just think that when it comes to the Irish fan base I feel like they don't feel as connected to him I think when McGregor was on his Ro you know had a pot to piss in he was on the he was on the scratch and he carried the nation on his back and he said everything he did he said he was doing it for for Ireland and I also feel like maybe Ian's a victim of that as well that you know McGregor was his hero and he's trying to live up to what McGregor did and it's hard for him to H emulate that or put his own spin without being compared to him all the time as well yeah well like he's going be compared to him because he's AR um yeah well look who who knows what's going to happen but um we're going to be tuning in and the thing is Ross just a quick one now he called out Kobe kton after the fight do you want to see in fight Kobe Kon next or would you rather see him fight Sean strickler next I think it would actually be more interested to see the back and forth with Sean Strickland as in that but uh look i' happen to see him fight kobby coming as well like to honest I don't really want to see kobby come to fight after Leon Edwards fight um just the stuff that he said in that pressure was like like I know there's so many lines that people say oh they cross the line but like what he said in that one was just like Beyond cross the line like talk about someone's dead relative to s a fight it's just something I'm not here for so like if Ian Gary fights kobby C in rism I'm here for it the Ian was like right who gets more booze than me kobby comton right I'm fighting him this is the only way you can turn it around and we're going to be here for a man you see what a what a like you can't beat it said he doesn't care about the boo so like but people care about the booze man you know yeah well well you put it this way booze or tears are better than soilent yeah but like okay well just booze isn't good like you you at least want some people's not for somebody who's actually naturally like a baby face yeah yeah WWE terms out there um yeah just a couple more fights we wanted like we we have to discuss morab to Vash defeating Henry Cudo Ross what's next for morab and also do you think cejudo's like geez I should have just retired when I did uh I think he needed to know whether he was done and now he's done in terms of cejudo I think when morab actually like picked him up and ran across the cage with him over his shoulder I think like that was probably the moment he knew it's time to retire um and then with morab I love seeing fight shanali next I think like morab like I I was saying to you he should have had the Sha Ali jacket put on after after the fight and called out Shan Ali that would have been the move to make um whether he gets the title fight or not next we'll see but like again I think if Cheto Vera wins I could definitely see morab versus Cheeto as well so like I think that's that's the fight yeah I think my favorite part of that fight was when morab carried cejudo over to Mark Zuckerberg and then Mark Zuckerberg was just there laughing so I'm I'm sure Henry Cudo is now no longer using Facebook um in the comain event Ross Robert Whitaker defeated Pao Costa as well and then the F we have to speak about is the main event Alexander volkanovski was defeated by Elia Toria by knockout in the second round Ross do you think that when volkanovski had Mark Zuckerberg in his Corner that was bad luck I didn't know what that was about but vul's a funny guy so like I'm not surprised uh look I actually think I predicted that uh Toria would win by knockout in this fight yeah um I there something about him he seemed like a man on a mission uh I think vul maybe turned around too fast after the last Islam fight from my liking I like to see him taking extended period of time off H I know he's calling for a rematch so like I'm not going to like tell him he can't have a rematch but uh I'd love to see to pour you fight Max Holloway next regardless of the outcome of Max Holloway versus Justin gate at UFC 300 I think that's the fight that people would love to see and who would you favorite in that I don't know hard to see say because like obviously like a lot of that would be happen in boxing range I think Max is actually a better boxer but Ilia seems to hit like a truck so uh hard to say but uh I know my head says toor you my heart says Max man go your heart man um just another question Russ on that volosi went up fought Islam Mev lost twice and now came back down to his Division and now lost to Elia toura do you think that vulk went for greatness didn't succeed twice has now jeopardized him in his own division not so much the first fight but definitely the second fight I think um second time out I think when he lost and got knocked out I think he needed to put himself on Ice um I I think he said himself he doesn't do good when but he's not busy and I think that's when maybe his team need to intervene and say look you need to go ice take a break for six months no heavy sparring for six months like not saying don't go to the gym for six months but uh take that break off let everything heal up and then go again and then who would you like to see banovski take on next I just like to see him take a long break and I don't think it's actually even worth put a name out there yeah I think like let's just let it lie and see where he goes from there all right right and then finally the main event has been announced for UFC 300 it is Alex Pereira taking on J Mahal Hill Ross was this the fight you were expecting it it definitely wasn't and like look I actually don't hate the fight because obviously Jamal Hill never lost the belt uh Pereira is now the current champ um I I don't hate it I don't think it's the name recognition that people were looking for for UFC 300 ball obviously they were trying their hardest like they were you can see like John James turned down on a fight at 300 Leon Edwards said yes to three fights none of them came to fruition which is uh quite strange obviously we assume one of them is hamach uh and apparently none of them were balal so I wonder what the other two were um maybe one of them was Islam um who knows that that maybe a possibility but um look it is what it is like I think it's a great card overall I'm excited to watch it for me my personal main event is probably Max hway versus Justin gaii that's the one that I'm doing to see the most out of all all the fights on the card do you think Alex Pereira is a bigger star in the UC than Leon Edwards no I actually think Leon's probably a bigger star at the moment I would say yeah I think like which fight do you think is bigger then which fight do you think is bigger Pereira versus Jamal Hill or Leon versus balah Muhammad no Hill versus perir I think is bigger I think um I I I think prer looks great for your photo ops and like your your face offs and that but obviously like at the end of the day like his English isn't the May West therefore like when you're doing press conferences for the biggest fight of the of the year you know I mean like it's handy when the main event speaks English especially with the co Main Event being two Chinese firers fighting each other and they can't speak so I wonder whether Justin gate and Max Holloway have to do a lot of the talking at these conferences yeah well uh the card is like absolutely sted and also we have two U see 299 to look forward to and this weekend um Moreno is taking on H royval to UC F9 as well so the UC train keeps marching on Ross I'm gonna have to get into fight I don't know why that fight actually fell out um I didn't know the Greek fell at all so I didn't really care to ask all I knew was Richie got a replacement so maybe for man's injury isn't too
