foreign [Applause] okay what's going on guys welcome to a brand new episode of energize Ross introduced the guest man today we have two legends of Irish MMA both fighting out of SPG Island we've got Brian the Pokemon more and Sinead KO Kavanagh guys two big fights coming up are we excited yourself obviously it's it's a rematch the last fight got stopped early against Janae Harding uh are you looking forward to getting that one back definitely you should there's what I mean that's one on me list that I have to get back you know so um yeah I'm looking forward to um to finish the knife what what we started last time you know so um let's get them them rounds in this time as a fighter how devastating is it to get that decision taken out of your hands and for a doctor to stop a flight when you feel like you're okay to continue yeah it was crazy like it was I felt like um boy like um she because um the court man was leaving cable but you know hahaha they realized like you got the sack afterwards it's beautiful like that's that's juicy you obviously you obviously didn't know snake having as tough as Nails yeah I just thought it was ridiculous like yeah well we're looking for that wrong being related um Brian obviously on your end last time it was one of your best performance in three Arena but your performance in the Octagon was only topped by the promo afterwards tell us about the promo was that planned or what happened there how many times you practice that one Brian just kept practicing the shower every morning no it wasn't it wasn't planned I was just walking on a booze after that after the fight after the performance you know it was a good one and then that crowd man that just sends you a bit crazy so yeah that was just I wasn't really planned I just said what I wanted and it came out but um yeah onwards and upwards onto the next one load a roof off take a head off and blow another promo over and tell us this when uh when you went backstage and then you know you jumped on Twitter and saw Connor give the impression of you you know emulating the car there how 40 was that how many times did you replay that over and over again oh I just had to go and repeat that where Connor was the new X for the accident you know having my back as always so I was cool in that regard yeah now Ross Bellator 291 Dublin is on February the 25th it's on a Saturday make sure to get on the Brian's Instagram and sinead's Instagram for tickets Russ if there's anything if there's any left at the entertaining left foot I mean you may as well try no absolutely um one thing I want to talk on you on with yourself is uh obviously women in combat Sports you know Katie Taylor's coming back to fight and Dublin the former boxing teammate yourself you know Kelly Harrington when they got gold and then Danny McCormick one of your teammates and fighting for Invicta goal soon yeah do you feel like Combat Sports on the women's side of the thing is as strong as it's ever been and as it moving on Leaps and Bounds oh like definitely like um it's gonna be a big return here for Katie and um like so what does the crow pack hold 80 thousand like or something like crazy amount of people so if if that if that goes ahead so like that I'll just shows you um where we've we've come in in Ireland like I started out in a boxer Club where I got told to f off like because it didn't take women you know I mean and then years later I went to that same boxing club like so um that's where it's that's where we went we've we've had it like you know yeah I suppose you don't really think of um you know the trials and tribulations you need to be culture to even get involved in the sport let alone actually become successful at it so I suppose that's a testament uh to yourself and the other women of the sport uh on how far how far you've come and then obviously um last year probably the biggest female fight in Irish women's in May history was yourself and Lima Court well that was that a really proud moment for you to uh Point Lee and and don't definitely we were a co-main event like of uh of that fight that card like you know um this guy was a show again like that we were everyone was talking about that fight and everyone um was looking forward to to women fighting on Docker like so um yeah we we um we definitely have have a came up like um and done some good things in MMA people always remember that fight that we fought in the tree Arena yeah it's definitely legendary you're awesome yeah especially considering the injury that uh yeah you stand Dirty Dancing like it was just insane it was insane I'll never forget Tina the Gibson rolling around your wheelchair yeah that was like the first 40 seconds that happened like a Tommy ACL and we hit me MCL like I had two friends like so when she took me down that happened so I remember being on the ground I was thinking like what is wrong with me like no this can't be happening like but I think that made it more impressive because like yeah Leah who's a great rapper and she needs is a great rapper but more known as a striker I thought it was going to be Sinead when boy kayok then I seen her new book called and she beat the grappler with one leg you know what I mean that was even like she showed so much harder and I think it made it even better you know what I mean obviously she had to go through an awful lot of rehab and stuff but he just made the the win more legendary you know what I mean yeah it was it was a legendary win and legendary really well yeah uh Brian obviously I feel well you you've been through SPG and you've been through with sort of the highs and lows and you know you've seen the steady flow of fires come true but do you feel like this current crop is almost emulating that first crop that sort of broke through because I feel like right now the talent at the moment and like the amount of top talent in SVG Ireland is as good as it's ever been I think everybody tries to kind of look at the first crop and go is this the next it's never going to be then you know what I mean it's never going to be the same it's just different you don't mean the sport has moved on and off lot since then that first crop was the first crop you know we've had these next Generations it's going to continue so like I think everybody always looks for you know the the first guard to come around again but it's never going to be that way it's just we've got an another crop of amazing Fighters at a different General at a different time and there is a fantastic pose in the gym I've been there for over a decade now um you know I've been uh with John from for the very very started my career basically and uh you know I can get svgs and it is an unbelievable place you know what I mean I love it just as much now with actually a little bit more than when I first started but the lights were first started training we'd have a a huge place in my heart but so did the guys who are you trained with now and you know the future is certainly huge and bright for SPG [Applause] yeah so uh from yellow box to the Monster Blood Moore has been there through through uh to continue I mean it still look the exact same Brian it's absolutely hilarious yeah so it's my moisturizer I think is it it must be it must be um come here I'll ask both of you both given your take on it but was there uh extra balls when uh Connor announced he was going to do the ultimate fighter again because that that must have been serious crack around the gym to know that the Mac is back again yeah I think we're all excited to just see him back in return you know what I mean he's uh he's broke records he's changed the game so to see him back in there as he's gonna be I'm just delighted to see him having a fight in his hand it's been a long road from recovery ways and he's going to come back with a vengeance that's for sure yeah okay vapor is funny it's gonna be amazing like yeah and like Michael Chandler is an unbelievable dance partner for him as well like you can't you can't uh you can't knock that fella either like um oh you can't wait completely see well we have we have a we have a ruler joke that uh we're saying um I think it'll be under 30 seconds before Conor McGregor Marx's height uh as as they first come face to face uh I feel I feel like it's uh very much like uh the Chad Mendes fight again I feel like um some of that rhetoric will be uh back out there except even more so he's uh I I would dare say he's almost got funnier one age I was on Connor yeah he's still an Entertainer I don't know but I just looked up much for him stylistically I love it from um and like I think it puts him straight back like he's such star powered I think he could go back in there and demand the title shot for what he's done in the sport but boy putting Chandler away or in round one he's it'd be no doubt who's next and I think it's it's a great matchup yeah I think so I think with the landscape of division as well like obviously falconowsky's fighting um against Islam um this release but um like um that sort of leaves that Vision up in the air and I don't think there's a clear call lightweight container neck I know some people say beneaths are used but don't think he's going to sell the paper use to be honest so uh definitely not in relation to Conor McGregor pay for you so it'll be very interesting to see who is an expert at no it it is great to see him back and it's great against potential yeah who knows who knows this is obviously talking about Bellator man like yeah you know geez mention the markers back and it's hard not to give him 40 minutes of uh credit here but uh Brian tell us this one where where do you think this uh fight leaves you and were you disappointed you didn't get Leandro ego as you call there after the last fight yeah uh look at the title I would have got that fight but um you know look it's Bellator have a plan I'm sure you know what I mean and I'm just gonna trust in me in that and uh just keep racking up the wings look at the last fight was was a clean cut performance it was uh you know I put a lot of asses on the seats I got the crow gone you know I put on a solid performance so I'm gonna do the very same again never to finish I'm just going to keep winning until I can't ignore me that's that's my motto with this one you know um I've really enjoyed this Camp it's been [ __ ] miserable I've just finished on that hunt of an assault bike so I mean it's been tough but it's been uh yeah it's been it's a good one but um so I can't wait to get it here I can I can barely string a sentence together still shaky and everything but uh yeah folks what I'm saying is like I can't wait to get in there I can't wait to get in there in 15 days Ryan obviously obviously the the bantamweight Grand Prix was announced that's going forward are you looking to keep yourself active to maybe become an alternate in there if someone does drop out at some stage maybe you can feel one of those plots uh Grand Prix and it's it's in the final note oh he got offered a slot on that and I had to turn it down yeah um with a family matter my one of my daughters um had to go for surgery and I would have been away and uh at the time it was it was a worry and thankfully it turned out to be something which wasn't Sinister after so we're just hugely relieved but yeah I had to turn down a million dollar chance and a chance to jump into that tournament but I always say it's family and flag I had to put my family first so I'll always be looking at the top of that landscape and you know I think this fighter next puts me back in the rankings when you're back in the rankings you're back in with a with your name you know in the in Project contention so that's the plan lads our crowd week we can always uh hope for probably more insert himself in the title picture anytime because uh we know you're always game so hopefully that comes around so yeah look I do think that uh yeah I did I taught Bellator would cash in on put me in the the call Main maybe or main card but I think that's common I think that's September gig um to be honest you know what I'm patient you know what I mean look you just said a few minutes ago I looked the very same as I did 10 years ago I'm not aging I'm like mostly working with Paul Fogerty he's adding years on to me the stress of that man honestly and then uh obviously uh Sinead you alluded to it you you have a hit list um I'm sure very high up on that uh hit list would be the one and only uh Chris cyborg is she she's one that you're looking at in there with very very soon and what you make of um Leah's fight against katzengano as well as captaingan with someone you'd also be interested in getting in there with um well I have the Leslie Smith one so I'd like to get a whole Force get the hand raise which should have happened um and I would like to get back with cyborg um like like it was a woman short and sweet but it was um it was a explosive two minutes yeah um yeah I made a mistake and she bounced after care and she broke my ice hockey and I went down you know so um like she's um that's amazing like I'm looking forward to seeing that fight are you suppose that was actually not a main event I actually thought that one should be a main event on that card I think Gollum was fighting someone else in a heavyweight fight at Main Event I don't know if it is yeah you're the co-main event ball oh you think it should be the main event brilliant what do you think yeah I don't know heavyweights just if there's a heavyweight fight it just always seems to be just pushed for the main event all the time and sometimes they turn out to be a [ __ ] disaster but I do like that fight to be honest I think that that is called main event but uh yeah certainly Leah and Sagano could have certainly uh step up through the main event too so let me if you've got a good main good call Main Event that let's all put my gray cards this year can't complain yeah also James Gallagher will be back in Action as well in a few weeks time as well Brian's mate yeah Jose that's the thing I've been like I know that's why I call the uh Eagle you know I know we didn't plan it but you know when you're growing up and I was a Federal Way growing up but in the sport I always wanted to fight Jose Aldo because it was a federal way he's he's just like an Aldi version of Jose Aldo he's like he's like Jose Aldi um I've seen like I've looked at he goes for it's his power on the feet but he's Scrappy he's kind of slows the lightweight and he leaves his like he got killed a team by Caldwell so you know I know he's a BJ black police go grappling but he's susceptible to it James is a nasty you're looking no we're definitely looking forward to seeing that one give me a shower off yeah absolutely look you guys are both actually in really competitive divisions um what the story is the cyborg is she coming back or not that can make a fake in title like I mean a big win and Dublin against nade and a big shame yeah make it easier um yeah she's doing some boxing and a reckon she's going to come back here she's she hasn't left anyway yeah I think I think there was a better chance of her account maybe somewhere like CFL of Kayla Harrison one but I think after Pacheco one I think that fight doesn't really hold much weight anymore so yeah well we'll we'll see where where she goes but like she hasn't fought in a while so it'd be interesting to see like what what she actually planned on doing um though like she's saying cat stalking her and stuff like that like so I don't know obviously she's looking for a fight yeah true true well we'll see like it's it'll be by the time April rolls around she don't even fault once in a year so like we like a bit more activity from her and to say the least but uh it's definitely going to be interesting but um tell us this uh how many weeks for Wexford onions are you going to be bringing up now for this Floyd Brown yeah there's a [ __ ] a rafting coming up there's a mad crowd yeah every time I talk to someone you're like oh yeah we're going up this post we're going up with this coach we're gonna open the train there's a [ __ ] heap of them going up so yeah it'll be it'll be noisy but I I love that like you know what I mean I got In fairness I got a massive crowd um from expert but I got huge support from Dublin um a lot a lot of people from Cork as well um so yeah I'm just it's great to have so many people come from all over the country but you know I love seeing the the purple gold up there all the same as I said it's gonna be like a mini 96 all over again we're gonna have a lot of cavanoids up there yeah I'm gonna have some some piss heads coming over they said he had a great time last time like so I know some people came that didn't were never our fights and they were saying what a night he had so oh let's go Dave yeah one of these events like I mean you have to try it once you know I mean no that's how that's how I know the sport has grown because at the last uh Obama fight I had but it was like a couple of a couple of hundred people from Oxford came up and the second my fight was finished they were gone they were out in the they were out in the town in Dublin and I was like what'd you think of this fight or like are we [ __ ] up after yours but now they stick around for the full thing you know what I mean so you know it's ever grown yeah yeah but I suppose like I know some people go oh it's only an SPG only car but like at the end of the day at least with that you have an interest a vested interest throughout the entire card because like you know if you're supporting one person from the gym you're sort of supporting all the people from the from the gym and I think the last weekend there was 13 SPG fighters on this card which is probably unheard of I don't think there's a gym in any promotion in the world who can put that many fighters uh on the one card so that's actually incredible things allowed to have like it's unbelievable like it's like that's what that's why they're there it's because of the talent not because they've been handled it like no you don't name any name any SPG fighter that doesn't deserve a spot and that's only a tiny percentage of what turns up on our mats every week our mats are [ __ ] packed we have to use downstairs upstairs and then the cage there's could be 70 in a session you know what I mean so you know type that's that's down to John and Dave and all the work we put in so it's warranted [Laughter] yeah he keeps them all on people he's not giving them a chance for you I'm like looking at him saying thinking how are you gonna make this he'll be the same as using it yeah it's like crazy like crazy he's like he's the massive man like I don't know how he's going to make it when I come up to fights and I put on my Phantom weight and like whatever two weeks ago I'm like [ __ ] I should have picked Federal Way I should went back up to 145 but then then I look at that and I'm like I know I'm all right where I am just to wrap things up uh Brian uh how do you send this Italian home will you send them home eating pizza or pasta or wrong his teeth he'll be [ __ ] eating his teeth that's what I'll do but I gotta put him away in round one or two um like I'm on a different level for this one I'm using two sparring partners uh a session I'm doing shark tanks I'm [ __ ] I'm just put in more work than ever smarter work than ever and you should see I can't wait you're gonna see the best version of me so far the last fight was good this is Lord over the water wait Lucy no absolutely and uh Sinead I assume you never want to leave at the hands of the judges they robbed you a few times so uh are we are we uh stopping Janae this time without the doctor yeah I haven't been the luckiest uh in fights like so um yes we're going for the Finish hopefully round two let's let's bring bring the moniker snakeo cabinet alive yeah I bet you tenor so you get the quickest finish all right big books thank you for that guys thanks a million for
