Liam Shannon and Pat McAlister of Fight Academy Ireland join the Energized Show in early January 2023 to reflect on a standout 2022 and outline plans for the year ahead. They describe Paul Hughes’s title win in London as redemption after a disputed first meeting with Jordan, and Pat McAlister highlights cornering Rhys for a crown moment on the Belfast card. Both coaches stress consistency, daily routine, and gym culture over pure talent as drivers of success. A major thread is frustration with matchmaking: they argue Irish promotions often give Fight Academy Ireland fighters harsh debuts or short notice while other clubs get softer paths, citing Paddy McCorry’s pro debut against James Webb, Sean McCormac stepping up early, and Alexander O’Sullivan’s pro-debut matchmaking costs. They defend Kids Conflict as a career-building platform, plan six pro bouts on an upcoming card, and discuss who they want on Cage Warriors Dublin—including Paddy McCorry at lightweight after London, and amateurs such as Matt Elliott and Cameron McClurkin. They share 2023 picks: amateur Kieran Coogan (six-and-one in 2022, training since about age 11–12) and pros including Rhys, Paul Hughes (UFC by mid-year), Paddy McCorry, Matt Elliott, Jared Burns, Scott Harvey, and Henry Corrigan’s return on Kids Conflict. Joe McColgan is noted as retired but still central to the fight team. The episode closes with Cage Conflict 9 - Heavy Artillery announced for 1 April 2023 and a call for fairer matchups for Fight Academy Ireland fighters.

Kind: captions Language: en guys [Music] show up the Irish okay what's going on guys and welcome to a brand new episode of energize Russ introduced the guest man today we have the headquarters of void Academy Ireland the one and onlys it's Liam Shannon and Pat McAllister Lads how are we doing yes great job he's on the show lads absolutely pleasure to be on the show boys yet absolutely Lots this was requested uh especially uh when we were talking about um you know Jim of the year and Coach of the Year like you guys had a phenomenal 2022 it was unbelievable obviously the highlight of the year was uh Paul Hughes captured in that title and for you guys what what was your individual uh Holo of the year and what was your main takeaway from um I'll go first um well obviously Paul uh really capped off a brand here um for the whole club um he's an inspiration for me as a coach to teach because he's such a great role model you know what I mean and they get sometimes good guys don't always get with the reserve and they definitely got what it is definitely the best um that was capped off a lovely year for Fai but a lot of stuff right even from the amateur Fighters right through the people making our Pro debuts new guys coming to the gym just the e-fosser with the gym in general uh it's not a large umbrella and just fighting and I mean with Kaiser him no interest in fighting and they're bringing an awful lot there identities and their personalities it's such a good place to be and I said I love more Nana it's yes the Fate in his days on the cake the winning the bells the winning the fates and the kids Warriors kids conflicts all the different stuff like that it's great to have big nates but getting up here Lincoln on Monday night and meeting and seeing your friends and having a great crack that's that's more what I love [Music] you and then Pat obviously uh you had that as well but uh you were also in a Reese's corner for Belfast that must have been special as well yeah it was a it was a highlight of the Year for me a race was unbelievable there is Buzz would say but uh really special night so it was racist reasonably a big part of the team effect Academy Ireland and um really good to be in the corner there for him he's been training wheels for years but it was the first time in the corner not the first of many so we'll be rolling on the the April race um but I just want to touch on what shando said about you know Paul um it was a special night with Paul against it really was Paul likes the term each fight with uh you know like a with a word and he had Redemption for that faith and it really was redemption in my eyes and nearly everybody's eyes he won that first fight he just didn't get the decision I have so much respect for Jordan on his team but it was really nice to see um Paul go and get that one back the uh you know with Paul Hughes an interesting thing with Paul is that I'd like to say to the guys is the guy with the most talent and the guy with the most success I always find he's the one in the gym working harder than everybody else you know people always ask about Paul like you know what what's the secret to his success and I always tell him it's in his daily routine it's what he does every day day in day out it's all his his sessions his extra recovery everything you know that's what makes him in world class it really is his routine big word for the lads I like to use as consistency if a guy's just be consistent and show up every day show up to all the classes then they're going to get to where they want to be not everyone has to be a world champion but consistency yes just a big thing with Paul's consistency and and that's what makes him world class is is it's How He Cheats everything together like he he's a special fighter so that night was a big thing um and another big night was the night where racer really was so they were my two highlights of the year I drink at the Christmas party was another one [Laughter] they'll get the rounds in well if you're obviously we're obviously both events and I know the lads were as well but like is there is there how can you pick between the both of them like which one do you think really slow down um I think it was very nice for Reese to have that Crown a moment in Belfast I think that was absolutely beautiful I think that the way you got the creative reaction was fantastic well I think the Paul used one was almost more personal I feel like uh he felt like he he owed Jordan uh that win and he went and got it and like I I don't know if you guys are there but like we were actually in the hotel and like Jordan view tennis like walked back in and like it must have been near one o'clock in the morning so when you got to stand in Ovation like the like the beat and the Paul put on that man was something that I probably haven't witnessed in real life in a very long time like it was it was an absolute Massacre for the last I think what four rounds it was it was Freud and and like Paul used to show that he is the elite level uh or featherweight not only in this country in Europe in the world he's ready for that UFC call up myself that was beautiful Ross thanks thanks very much if I was going to pick one I'd have to pick the Belfast card it was just because all the hot like the like all the amount of like Irish waters on the card the the supporters were all there to witness it live and then like I know Paul they bought it real estate they both got into the crowd at the end reads ampa but like if I'd have to pick Belfast but like obviously London was unbelievable as well I do think there are the missing ingredient on uh Belfast was the the actual the stronger uh turnout from the Fai Lads I know like there was the injuries and pull outs and stuff like that and it didn't go according to plan so hopefully um we'll get a strong turnout on the Dublin card because uh that's that's what we need to see we need we need that uh Fai loyalty there and uh Big Challenge and big numbers as well so uh that is very important two people I did want to touch on uh that fight over in London or Paddy Makari um Sean McCormick obviously they didn't get their hand raised but like not many people will put their handles uh you know less than three fights into their career to fight a James Webb or an Oban Elliott like these those guys went in and gave a great account on themselves how proud of you guys that well sorry we're certainly well like the thing is that you gotta remember like we're like Authority and that um what I call these boys they're stabbing but we're showing update they can have confidence but also we're setting up the kids Warriors and taking them out of holes so you like to hang a wee bit of uh they would return that long to be honest is very disappointed with Belfast and the upwards we got um it really was extremely disappointing because not just the national legal part even kids we're supposed and four days notice we we always Step Up um we don't get the handy face we don't want we handy Facebook we hang it we've we should be at the top of the gym on kids world we own for all abouts none of a hard fall about outside Next Generation we're the most successful human kids wear school history I feel like we don't get it for a crack on the web personally you know what I mean with them with guys or Chapman or a bit I would just you know part of the smaller size near RFA team we've got professionals coming out our ears here and that was the number one reason why we started kids conflict because there's no promotions giving our guys the opportunities and we're looking to build not just the room Fitters all our Irish faders but we think that we're kind of left-handed some promotions for different reasons you know I mean the politics gonna on different promotions people who do who people is there blue eyes and who they know why why are we in it Sean McCormick stepped up um you know what I mean obvious I was bad but I mean and foreign like five or 16 KF four or five team Reno but where's the car done there's there's a car done race that's the car done where's the mod alley it's where's the camera clergens where's Michelle McCormick's where's the potty mccrorities well I mean like are people not want to pay these how we repeat the top guys from the get to get an opportunity well that's why we have the parries on like this he's an absolute Beast he's turned one and I mean to me 3-0 and Rancho is an absolute monster like but like why he's not not getting these opportunities on these promotions well I've had to rebuild Mark Elliott who's an absolute animal you know what I mean they came with clergens last losses Christian doctor like these guys our guys are getting losses they're having to learn on the job which is not for her I feel you know what I mean and like there's certain um or just a certain uh publicists media guys who are all getting on kids conflicts back in Fayette Academy because we're trying to build our faders but they don't say enough when other shows are trying to build certain alert Club sweaters and it's very very apparent that we get a short straw everything we do they're angry we gotta Source we have to earn our credit as soon as team care if they have to earn their credit as well I understand that and all the clubs in Ireland but I just feel it we don't get that uh like why why should potty McCrory's first fate have to be in against James Webb who's an absolute monster you know what I mean we have to take these opportunities because we're not getting any other opportunities yeah Liam I'm not I'm not going against the grain there obviously uh party was originally meant to face Jordan and that was like one of the big face-offs yeah of course the whole country was interested in that but that's where we have these on nail ads we want to know who do you who should we who should we expect to see on the character cage Warriors Dublin yeah or who would you like to see who which is personally well what we're looking for relay the ending and Grand one was London tonight before uh EFC that's where potty wants to fit and then on the kids Warriors Dublin show or even Awards he likes of um Matt Elliott Cameron McClurkin and then we'll see what happens around Curtis a few other ones are and we'll make the Harley progress over the coming months but a few guys coming through next of uh Scott Harvey uh turd Burns these boys here who are not kicking ass off rattling away but the conversation they have with Joe Burns on Friday um training with him was why should we have to go on fake guys and uh fly with who had 12 13 14 Fates on kids where's he'll fought for belts that's our first fate no I I agree with you like it's definitely an idea like yeah that's what we're getting offered you just want to fight here we gotta fly with but here here he's already 12 and 5. we got to gag after him one why is that Liam obviously what do people not want to fight against your gym well I don't know I don't know I don't I really don't know I don't I took all the hard work we have to do all the hard left you know what I mean that's okay because when we get there we'll we never deserve it yeah exactly but what do you think of this as well because like um like I mean Liam's saying this with a lot of passion yeah that's it that's I know what sound does saying yeah sometimes it's just hard to to get the boys in there to get a break like but I agree I agree with everything Sean does saying they're like yeah yeah I I don't like I don't want to see Paddy McCarthy fighting James Webb in his first fight on page Warriors like that's that's not that's that's not for me I'm like like he brought him to the brink as well like I mean like he like that was a former cage Warriors middleweight champion and like finding power is going to be a welterweight as well like yo man but believe me where does this is what happened where does party go after it yeah it's very hard to sort of have employees a former world champion and like bring him to that you know what you know guys no we we have to return um like everybody like if you see unboxing I'll be boxing's a wee bit no I mean too much but you need a guy's progress and that type of stuff like other people go why is Alexander O'Sullivan David fader fading a guy he has no wins it's his first fate it's his first professional Faith against the guys have four professional fits you know what I mean let's give us a wee bit of Grace and Trend help our own faders fit in their toes what do you want the Fate in the first one you know what I mean yeah or something so like like why would Alexander Osama not be fighting a guy that's wanna know as a professional like what I want him to fight someone exactly says like someone was so much more experienced like you know Alex has a lot of amateur fights but Conan The Fighter won a no Pro guy that's fine what should like should he be fighting if he's not fighting him then you know I cannot some of the things I try not to get involved and I like but I agree with what he said like you know you know I've seen some of this stuff on like I've seen like um the other day I think Andy Stevens announced on Twitter uh how should someone handle their like proud idea or their first couple of voids or whatever and uh we've had Chris fields on he said like your first profile should be probably easier than your last amateur fight and I agree with that like I think people need to understand that there's a rules that change when you turn pro different things come into play like elbows knees and stuff like that that weren't in play before so if you want to give a folder a chance to readjust this new rules that like they should be given a chance to come into the into the new real set and they should be given a chance to you know fight someone maybe electrocon letter uh caliber avoider to actually readjust to this new new set of rules and also you're starting to get paid now so like your professional career is what really matters like you like yes I don't want to see it going down the boxing Avenue where you're 15 14 to your career and you've still fought no one sort of thing but like at the end of the day like like putting like put it this way like Matthew Elliot versus Roy and Shelley like a controversial decision whatever but like that's not something that I was always overly doing to see like yes it's sort of exciting in the moment but you know one person has to come off with an L on the record and I don't want to see two young others players Fighters fighting for each other like that I'd rather that they'd fight someone else how the entire country gets a point that works exactly and that's what we're like we Tran to you know as well like Tom and Chris have great anime Mains and know how to throw people on Hangout with the guys who've been on the kids conflict that's attacker legs around Adam shall I like to Leon Hill recently that's that we have our platform for is that people defend everything yes not all of them do you find their feet some of them do it for all and I'd have to rebuild their careers but it's we should be I'll be getting behind all our irish guys you know what I mean I don't think we should be putting people down and we got to understand make it with these guys are saying we're trying to kind of let people find their feet and get behind people and Builder gravity is not until the confidence up and then the small country we should we all go on the gallery and go on for the world together trying to be so solely kind of um too sharp criticism straight away you know it's very it's fine we'll try another ticket but sometimes it's hard to listen to and people standing these stuff and all you're like going That's not right it's a politics that are behind that um and I I just feel personally I know but wind up really looking at if I don't get the first crack a little bit no I mean I definitely don't yeah that being like if you didn't notice we're about massive irishma fans on there yeah we're also big fans your team and like all the orders we've had on like team Rhino team KF SPG all the lads like seeing the two Lads we'll go back to the Shelley and Elliot fight like we obviously like weren't like you know I mean we don't want to see hear them lose but like we also wanted to give them the platform to Pokemon and promote the fight together because like obviously that sort of gets the country more interested because it's like two irish guys taking on each other but um here like it's I don't mean promotions this should be capitalized as much as they can until the needs must if the group owner needs most and then that's dead on but at the start of their career the ground is an absolute gentleman has tremors we're very close to 10kf it was like we were forced that if you want man I'll let the Fate this is it and the guys are coming up in the gym and going I want to fight so we're gonna these are the only options we'll be given here we can't do any more in it you know what I mean it's hard for us because we want to see maybe like there's a the party Mercury one the overnight one like we know it's not the ideal phase for them but I think the only hand we have to play and we're so confident in our guys abilities that we yes here that's rattling let's go ahead with only knacks and kids Warriors don't wanna knock them out and there was nowhere else for Carl to go after that so we're we're always had like confidence on our own abilities our own standard abilities and see the under Relic the the come down the lane that'll stand the boys and kids there like Patty McCreery will be a different animal coming forward Sean I mean Sean as well they'll come in and they'll stand them a good that experience will stand on a good Stanley yeah I think it was also goes to show like the color before you have you have the likes of like me come and showing up on fortnite over London to see your guys fight like it goes to show how much respect that fi FAO has in that scene so like uh look I'll be honest with you I have no idea what way it's going to fly down in cage warriors uh you know for the first four months of the year I'm just gonna call it the first four months because that leads up to dumb card but I do like the idea that you guys have cage conflict as well I like maybe like one or two votes on cage conflict you know catcher goes that experience and then on the cage Warriors and I think like it should become like a series affiliate of cage Warriors you have your one or two Floyds on cage conflict because like from like looking at the shows you guys put on like they look brilliant when you had the show and in the failure up on stage like like you're blown blowing the roof off the place that didn't have a roof before there like those shows are important on are serious I'm like we were saying like Carol Mulholland versus Jr Harris like like a high level for you like like they're the two best flyweights in the country going to toe you know what I mean like like that's an unbelievable caliber fight that you guys have put on your promotion you know what I mean yeah what that's it the kids conflict is like it's it is the Pinnacle of various we didn't win it um like you just need to have a real their Instagram people because they will put on more professional Fades and build that money careers high level amateur again on the professional careers over the last few years than anyone's ever done um do we invest in the show as you said the failure some nobody's ever done an atom before um I think we'll have six true Fates on this card we're even before and I mean like we're not just there to make money we we don't we reinvent we put it all in the show we'll fly people in from all parts of the world put them up we look after the faders all the fighters and we try ultimately to build people's careers and let them move on it's a stab them soon well you know and if you and if you follow the first step then you don't deserve them bigger opportunities personally now it's my favorite promotion out of all them because yet you know you're getting that that um Pro main card and you know you're getting some some top guys out of Fai armor and I like that you know I mean and like I know some people want to criticize the matchmaking look like look that's up to them but at the end of the day like like you said earlier like these guys have less than five fights you know I mean like like who who do you want to be for you now for less than four points you know I mean like it takes a rare Talent like you know a Christian Leroy Duncan to be fighting someone like Jesse Taylor like you're only in seven voids into their career you know I mean but like obviously he's progressed you need like you said earlier you need to give these guys a chance to progress and like you know criticize on someone who's making a pro debut was probably not that that noise like I look at Premiere FC have a fight coming up on Solomon Simon's fight and I thought a vanovich who's yeah Owen Owen four if you want me but again it's all times Pro debut like human like dude like am I absolutely crazy about the fight no but like am I interested to see Solomon saw him and as a pro yes I am so like that like there you have it I'm like you're you are you're selling a one-sided fight but like the interest is only on one side like like when you have Alex so Sullivan against Italian guy no one cares about the Italian guy they all want to see Alex Sullivan's probably yeah that's that's what people want to see you know what I mean but the thing was that that's what I'm saying he was originally a post Affairs Academy who's not in four lately and his opponent changed the guy who was unbeaten both amateur and pro but there was all a criticism for their original matchmaking but it was not not until after the show did he realized that the match made Gonna Change that's that's where one said is that was that it didn't even do the research properly yeah they're not really sure you're gonna have people commenting on stuff no matter what you do even if you make it all perfect or if they'll be like that's too perfect and then if you're making all they're like that's exactly you know what I mean [Music] it's hard to get how much because he said Freddie amateur fakes and and again he's such a good fighter such a good caliber such a good reputation and he wants to be in us for a little longer he doesn't want to have a couple of Fates and then that's him done he wants to have a career at this so he usually says like he's looking after his his professional career from the get-go and that's the it is not at this point they put a Columbia career money and money involved in this and you have to really be very careful these days and these guys here too you think as much as we see Ellis I think these guys are flying over from another part of the world they're not here to lie down none of them they hear the fake a lot easier if it's locally than I would go on across they're they're flanned hundreds upon hundreds of males being here for four or five days they're here to win yes we're flying in a guy for Alexander O'Sullivan's Pro Debbie like you know there's a there's a lot goes into bringing guys over ashanto says from from Italy and putting them up and traveling them about putting them in hotel it's there's there's a lot of costs in Augusta now too like and and we're putting a lot in the rsgmma the Builder likes of Alexander because it's tough to get him an opponent not a lot of guys want to fight Alexander O'Sullivan who's making us Pro debut you know a lot of guys are going to look at that guys that are 2003 and 04 and old looking going in this case had 30 skates here and he's really really good so it's hard to match him too and shandu says like so I agree with that too yeah Ross it's very easy to be sort of short-sighted and like watching it being a fan like you can just be like here why is he fighting this guy with this record like why isn't he fighting this guy right now but you have to realize these guys are looking to have like a long career on a very wealthy career as well and say well if you think I don't dig it in I think you always have to you have to educate yourself you have to you have to look at someone like someone like Alex or something can probably jump up against a higher caliber sooner because he's had that 30 fights he can probably when he's 3-0 he could probably fight some you know seven and two or something like that and it wouldn't be an issue for him because he has that experience and like obviously you know when you turn pro like I said you're bringing the elbows and knees it changes the game also you change the amount of time you're in the cage you go from being in the cage for 90 minutes to being in the cage for 15 minutes it's it's a it's a massive jump you need to check that cardio gas tank and make sure you have that airport so like these are all factors that commit that and then also some people go pro quite early whether you know they feel like they need the money to because they're training full-time or whether they feel like you know they're ready at a certain stage if you have six amateur fights and then soy to go pro like you need to take three or four fights that are you see they're very very confident of winning to start off because I at the end of the day if you start off your career oh and two oh and three you own four it's next one possible to rebuild that back you'll not see anyone in the upper echelon or the UFC who's lost the first three or four fights it just doesn't happen so you have to carefully manage those first four or five fights and you also come less markers yeah and as you say like like people like we're like it's Christmas Santa we're a great uh ambassador of get a few I'm at your face but don't stay too long I'm gonna move on little professional wrench because 100 years ago with John mccogan and they thought they're on cork um for getting a guided you the guy fought there in court he's only getting in their fate after three minutes and the ram was over and he was losing around you know what I mean and he says from then on five minutes you're only getting warmed up no I mean we have plenty of failures like that we train even our amateur filters like professionals so like what I'm saying is a we are built for 500 rounds so we don't want to hang around and I'm amateur even with the wind balancer don't let ballast doesn't make a difference they want to push them on into the professional wrecks as their skills set yes uh improves place I think the Old MacDonald and people like that they're on the customer turnip they they're not having to agree amateur records Scott Harvey hadn't agreed I'm at your record too much careers you know what I mean you can hang around there too long and you should just they probably somewhere like Christmas sale is do what you do learn your trade so do you feel you're ready then just move on and then manage your professional career at the early stages at the rate steps yeah and I suppose in your gym obviously you have so many profilers now so like you can see it in someone whether you know he can give them the steer and you can say look I can get your GoPro I can just take one or two more and you can give them that so touching on that I want to ask uh give us an amateur and a pro who you think is gonna really smash it in 2023 well we'll start with South Park um amateur I think Karen kogan um he's a really good play with he went six and one last year from I think it was January until September he went six and one and his only loss was a a short notice fight on a few days notice we actually put him up the bottom with the fade upon them where but the guy was like really big so it was and Karen walks around a 58 kilo so the guy was just really too big for him you know I really think he's Porter Murphy was it huh is it Byron Murphy he thought was it yeah it was yeah yeah he's a big strong young lad him so um but it was a lot of learning in that faith for Karen and that last one was really glad we we took it you know again at amateur the losses aren't just as as important but Karen Coogan's an example of someone that's been training here from it was like maybe 11 or 12. Karen actually started before we had kids classes so care is a perfect example of people would see him I think he's just turned 19. so people would say like what a beast he is he is so good like as if he's some sort of Phenom but it's it's it's not that at all if you think if he's been training from he was 11 years old here he's now 19. he's been on the mats in our gym for eight years doing pretty much every class every day especially when they're so young to soak up the information so quickly um and that's why he's get so good so correct so a lot of people see a lot of our young Fighters and say oh they're so good as if they were born with all this Talent it's absolutely not it's just about time spent on the mods and time with purposeful practice I like to say so Karen Coogan for me is is one to watch we we have probably got 40 to 50 amateurs but for me he stands out I'd like to see him fake Gary Mooney this year um that would be a good test work here and obviously Gary Rooney in my opinion is one of the best amateurs in the whole of the world to be honest like I could go in proven and beat so many guys and fly with like but I just personally would like to see that fight because I think guys and he's so good and I think it would be an exciting fight like a really tough fight for Kieran of course but again within the next year to two years I'd like to see Karen going professional so that's why I'd like to see him the fight guy they'd like to see him fight guy running now so he can get some experience you know have a great little massage room and what about Pro Pat oh Pro there's so many I'd like to see Rhys and Paul for sure be in the UFC by the middle of the year not the end of year by the middle year like the recent poll there definitely like a big year from potty McCrory Elliott really like to see big news from them because they're they're both so talented like everyone knows what a base mod is obviously with his wrestling but he does a lot of work and I so he's really getting better um potty McCrory is just Jill mccogan calls him the one I know he took that loss against gmswear but James Webb is a big big strong experienced guy and of course as we talked earlier like we knew this was going to be a really hard fight but we have full face that's like how much we think of party that we have put him in there so I'd like a really big year from them guys and then to be honest we have 15 Pros here and there's a lot of them but a couple of ones that stand out as well would be be Jared Burns and Scott Harvey those guys are to be honest we're not putting them onto the big shoes just yet because we're developing them on them guys or what I love to see they're they're just happy to work and do as we're saying and just you know listen to follow the plan and then we'll unleash them under the bigger shoes in a fighter too but Scott and Jared burns are really really good um and just one other Mansion there's another ballot there's actually three brothers joined us the Corrigan Brothers um and Henry Corgan a better breaking news here that he's going to be fighting on kids conflict and he's making a his return after a few years out but Henry seven I know amateur and he's won an O Pro so I'm really looking forward to seeing Henry get back into it because since he's joined us he's really made some big big Strays he's a He's a fly with yeah yeah we have a lot of really good flavors here like in the gym yeah like we would have ran Curtis Henry Jared Burns Karen kogan Damien mcguigan Kieran so many really good flight weights you know so there's a lot of good guys here so they're training with the best guys at their weight day and day out like I'm really happy with our lower weight divisions obviously the same as her higher too like but them lower levels are lower weight guys sorry have a lot of good training Partners in the gym here if you're running 546 and you want to take up and make FAO is the place to be I wouldn't know him sex one myself all right we are and uh Shonda what about yourself give it give us give us a pro and an amateur who you're looking forward to seeing developed this year well um obviously that's too many album free um they're both said that the amateurs start and peeling there's people are looking forward to see her in their career progresses on the freight Academy um there's Corey McLaughlin these four on one Commons recently joined us last six months we get to see our e progress because he's a very talented guy um and he he'll need an RV team to develop a skill set and then have the guys at the top end of the amateurs are radiator Tom Pro the next is gav McCormick and Old MacDonald and people I got that are here just from just on the cusp one winter one fade away from tournament Pro gas a big fee here coming up on kids conference against Graham Sheen who's another guy from Team Reynolds write a term for women it's like almost like a farewell they're probably problem the language you're saying because all this crap yeah yeah exactly like Gareth McCormick had a close loss against uh Jordan illum I know Jordan's an athletic monster the gath was two and a half rounds up caught in the triangle and then Jordan got all hate and briefly so but of careful on that it would have been Gareth turning pro got on the kid Warriors just as you say they just need to be single things change people's directions it's a full team farmer um and and he's on the cost for being a professional but you understand we better team off from fighting and but he's here training was born every day in a few months so after that he'll be happy to do one more amateur just go straight at the pro um so one of the one of them was probably Gareth because he's up next I'm not afford to see gas as amateur I'm progress into the pro ranks he'd be making me one more for the bad guy yeah one more idea and um professionally this part says it goes all them people are like I could reiterate what he said like there's so much title coming through I don't see Ryan Curtis progress um one probably didn't say would be Troy Gibson yeah how's he doing actually athletic machine you know what I mean he's just a swear to God he's an absolute monster a fake anybody and anywhere at any time he runs his own gym this year and he's up here and trying to juggle him and everything else he's he's such a fake feature I had him um be good to see him getting a wee bitter like still don't know who he weighs in at 77 kilos we met him over in London and I was like this guy is enormous monsters against um Liam Liam McGill like we were I had to send him a video an hour before Sally sadly seven kilos because nobody believes him you know what I mean but like that that's it I mean it's it's so good like that you've got so much people up here driving each other everybody has practice with the Flyers but everything if you come here like if you could charge people coming here to watch bars you guys are doing absolutely incredible stuff like wheel of gym we we hope this year is the year where you guys get the recognition you deserve like you you have like two world champions in your gym three if you include release like that's actually incredible Rhys is there too so that's three yeah yeah so yeah I know yeah but like sometimes I don't want to just only whom is necessary because I don't take anything away from Rodney either no no I don't know yeah yeah we don't want Rodney after us again incredible especially across three different weight classes as well so like that that's what you want to see you know what I mean so like you guys are the next they're going to be the next ones are you intoxicated or something we're getting man you know my belly it is like if mom had a beat ran Shelley or how to got the decision against them that would have been him three and oh and the big buzz would have been around Matt like but Matt like don't forget about Mata Elliot no absolutely not I think you were saying you had no injury there at least me um so hopefully that heals up because like if you actually put that fat on a microphone after he wins as well like he's such a character as well like I mean like he can blow the jokes off somebody will yeah he's dangerous to have their own podcast oh yeah definitely definitely although Paddy McCory is obsessed with Garrett's Molly you might want to have to deal with him as well sometimes oh stop but like you know what I feel like we could actually just stand here and actually list every single person who voice in your gym I'm like they all have have a bit of something to them you know I mean like it it is it is a special thing you have there like hopefully we we see Paul and we see Reese and make the UFC this year here like that start the trend for you guys I'm like like we always say you know the more people from Ireland who are following the UFC the better like that's what everyone says and for those who goes like that's Weller and it's not given like that those two have done incredible things and uh I text Joe mcculligan once more thoughts and played retirement for that he keeps them telling me he's too fat so uh he's eating butter and I have you seen him after Christmas I think I'm going to give off texts from there after our last exchange he was like everyone wants me to come back except for me and I was like really well I'm not gonna ask him again so but uh on top he helps up here helping all the lads and his knowledge is so so important to let the fight team as well he is the captain he's still well we look at him because he does an awful lot even though he doesn't have the Fate he doesn't have to fail for us just being here and his knowledge and his help um inspiring the boys maybe I'm gonna have uh one we're calling the toaster now he's only good for two rounds we just have him here and he helps him and he's still a big part of the club like yeah you can do uh Paul's uh shark tanks around uh one and five yeah exactly that's just before we wrap things up I just want to say it again uh cage conflict is back on the first of April that's April Fools and that's not actually a joke and then I'll be I think we're gonna have to get to two years later on again in the Builder cage where is Dublin if uh if you're both allowed lads foreign yeah you see things in the outside and you're like Jesus that's tough over Paddy that's a tough but like you don't think of like you don't think of them as an individual the way you guys will because obviously you guys are close to them and they're they're your foiders that you're not like Jesus where does he sort of go from there you know I mean like that's that sort of question when's the last time Maryland guy kids Warriors had a had an easy fit or like it's just him it's about building tomorrow but a real winnable fate or a shock of the compete they're all going it's a hard fight that yeah well now that's that's put out evidence uh the world now so uh let's see what happens then yeah hopefully hopefully we uh we can air write those wrong so we can get uh some Fair matchups uh one more take uh for the FAA Lords because I'm sure that's all you're asked for just just a fair match up there you know preppy not against former world champions on your debut but that will be no deal but um because
