nahum weddi and lewis byrne lads how are you doing good man thanks for joining us today uh we're looking to make this the fight not to be missed on clown wars on the 5th of december in the crown plaza in belfast roscoe take it away but right now home i'm going to start with yourself now what did you think first when you saw the name lewis byrne pulled in front here um i know lewis from i used to train with him you know what i mean and he's a good man that's all i can say about him nothing bad to say he comes from a good gym andy ryan is a good coach he comes from a good team nothing really about to say about him when you were trying when you were training with him how did you feel you matched up against them this was years ago built two years ago um that's what i think of him as a person i know and then lewis what did you think when you saw in the home's name written down in front of you yeah the exact same thing nothing but respect for the umph uh done a bit of training before it was actually it was supposed to be originally supposed to be a rematch where ryan keow i think that's what i was offered forrest i don't know what the story was there uh he wasn't able to to fight in that date so he came in the home instead and i was happy to take it my hands are great great father great fella and yeah it's a good challenge for about us i think and obviously yeah i'm sure you watched or you are at the weekend i feel like the winter festival period from amateur mixed martial arts has been kicked off to your your fighting championship last weekend did you watch it no no we didn't know well i know lewis is out of buddha winter amateur mixed martial arts has kicked off in the country how excited are you to get back in there listen it's been two years out from the foye game um not the fight game at mma especially so i feel like i have a lot of things that people haven't seen and that's that's what i believe the last time i fought was in 2019 in bahrain that was the last that was my last fight so a lot of people don't know that the condition that i'm in and so i'm really i'm really grateful that i get the shout out in clown wars and when you what do you feel like you've improved most since the last time people saw you fight everywhere you know what i mean you can bring in running and stay improved you know what i mean sprinting everything you know what i mean my nutrition i'm just a different person and i'm really really excited to show to plan a performance in clown wars and then lewis obviously you were in taylor quinn's corner at the weekend and won the voice of the year of irish mma how much has that got you so to get back in there for yourself well like i haven't really had that much of a layoff since me last but it's only been about three or four weeks like i've been flat out the entire year fights every month this is going to be me sixth point now of the year and prove myself already winning the titles you know so i'm definitely at that caliber to fight for another one but yeah now seeing taylor fighted a week just it's getting me going i can't wait to jump back into the cage now next week and do you think obviously you've been very active in this year and then obviously where he's saying himself he hasn't been in the mma occasion since 2019 do you think that's going to be a big benefit and do you believe in like cage rust [Music] i would say yes is it exists like charming it's it's a lot different kind of smack in train and then it is in the cage like it feels [ __ ] 20 times worse you know um but we'll see what happens on on the night and now for uh it's kind of i think definitely has is is the fact that we're rich you know and what about yourself wedding is that something you're thinking about now the cage is not a kansai so i don't know wrestler and i hope you're going around what the hell does you so people have not seen me in two years let me get let me go back to that you think your strengths that that's your weakness you thinking that these are your strengths they're not broke not in my opinion anyways and everyone will find out look i wish this photo was this week and i was not even messing great wrestling there to try things that you need in in every age you know no absolutely and and another question for you guys is obviously uh while the year four and one i think lewis you're you're even three or give or take there there abouts where how many more fights you guys gonna have until you want to turn pro i'll start yourself lewis and well after this fight i'll be heading back over to the oms because that's that's that's where you have to go if you want to be the best you know i find the best over here not to knock the the irish the domestic saying but like it's it's a how did i started when you got over there and there's a chance to get three four or five fights like well for me i'd say i'm gonna fight for another toilet maybe after this hopefully get three titles and then i want to get to about 10 wins and then i'll probably go pro and what about yourself weddi i i take it one at a time you know i i'm focusing at the pro scene right now i'm not looking at this i'm looking through him obviously i'm i'm looking at the the proceeding also but i don't want to rush anything i want to take one thing at a time so focusing on those right now i'm actually not even focusing on him but i'm focusing on my performance how i'm going to perform and that's what it goes from there and what bodies are you working with in this camp to prepare for the best of the best he doesn't have the bodies that i have and that's just unfortunate enough to have the bodies that i have you know what i mean i don't need to shout off right now telling you calm no names but you just need to know that clown wars there'll be a different man standing across this fella than two years ago lewis do you think and holmes is trying some form of intimidation factor here do you think he's trying to get in your head well it's not working if he is because i'm not being intimidating it's not being into my head and i don't know any gem in the country matter because the bodies are just as good in meowing i'm trying with great great buddies manager don't get me wrong i did say he comes from a respected gym andy ryan a great coach he has good bodies out there and i'm not i'm not disrespecting the gym by any means well since you asked me the body starting training with it's definitely better than his i know and that's there's no lawyers about that you know what i mean i come from dublin combat academy destroying cultures you know what i mean craig cobley is the best spg straight blast gym i'm not you know what i mean i don't need to speak too much but i do understand team rhino is also a good gym well again you're looking at the competitors you're not looking at gyms i don't just feel good that's uh for the people that are tuning in now and if they haven't seen these before like what is actually driving your abortion lads where do you want to bring this to the next level are you useless is what brings to the gym is that ufc is it bellator is a warn is like what is actually driving you uh louis you can go ahead first and let the fans know it's to be the best like it's a sport you know i want to be the best at this sport to be the best though you can be whether that takes me to the ufc bellator wherever that takes me i want to be the best in ua calgary wherever i go um where do you water yourself bud the same the same really i want to be a ufc champion i against his gym i genuinely don't see him lasting and if he gets out the second round midway toward round i think like that's my cardio is at its peakest that i've ever been savage anyone you don't see him tree around against me and the clown wars featherweight toil what would that mean to you [ __ ] all really at the moment um i focus on the being professional focus on giving the clown wars great performance really the belt doesn't really define me at all and what about yourself lewis how do you feel like you're going to get the job done and what does that total mean to you genoa i made this real let's start year of i'm not going to predict how the fight is going to go i'm not going to say how i'm going to win but no way i'm going to win whatever it goes three rounds one round two rounds i get a finish it doesn't matter i'm coming out with the other day with the win because i know my condition is better my skills are better and that's a fact and what would that belt mean to you lewis as the home side i agree with him it's just not a fight you know it's for course yeah i think sometimes people say that they're not in it for the bells but the belt always looks good around the waist after you gotta win yeah you look like walking around christmas time as well you know that's i have to say thanks miller probably is coming on like your credit to your teams and coming on and
