Will, welcome back to the show. How you keeping, bud? >> Good. Yeah, good to be here, >> man. Great to have you on. Great to have you on, man. You keep on bringing this career to new heights. You keep on breaking down walls, kicking down doors, keep on doing things that people probably didn't think you had the capability of doing. How good does it feel to start putting these uh you know these achievements up on the wall time after time, belt after belt, defense after defense? How good does this feel to finally get to where you always knew you were capable of? >> Yeah, it's satisfying. But I tell you what, like every time you do something, it's like class, that was great. It's done now. What's the next thing? So those moments, they're great. They're amazing. I'm really, really grateful to have gotten them, but they're gone. they're over, you know? Like hopefully at some time in the end of my career I can enjoy all of that [ __ ] but right now I'm in the process of doing more and like I suppose it's a good thing. I don't feel very satisfied by anything I've done so far and I feel like if this was it, it's like [ __ ] man. I had the talent to do so much more. So, I'm just very determined to kind of keep this train going and keep it like all right, what's the next big thing? >> And like this Harris fight, >> I think he's very underrated. I think he's a much more challenging opponent than people think he is and I probably won't get one like it's not going to be a big legacy fight to beat this guy but at the same time it could be a [ __ ] huge one if you let this be a banana skin. So like this is the ability to derail everything if you know what I mean and that's what's kind of keeping me sharp at the moment. That's what's keeping me a bit like right it's got to be a level of focus to go in and [ __ ] smash this lad and do something special in future you know. Yeah, [snorts] absolutely. And obviously, >> so like Will, you're obviously competing at Octagon 90 on the 20th of June in Berlin. Uh but the thing is we have to bring it back to December in 2025 when you beat Bed in round one. Man, like that was like an unbelievable victory. Like we had you on the show in the buildup to it. Like Ross, I think you were saying it was like one of the biggest achievements like any Irish fighter has done. Definitely in the top five. And then you went in and absolutely steamrolled them. Will what was how' it feel to get your hand raised there? And also like what was the reactions like after? That was class. Yeah. Look, it was really satisfying. And like I think as a guy who's been out Yeah. Look, it was class, right? But as a guy who's been outside the UFC for a while, like you know, kind of fought with Bellator six times, you know, fought with PFL, like I beat Chris Shako already, but then there was all the controversy around the drug test and all that [ __ ] And but both of us, we both tested positive and five other guys as well. But like they're like the whole thing with this one was like, "Oh, you know, you never proved you're at UFC level." It's like, "Okay, watch what I can do to a guy who's 7-1 in the UFC." And I didn't just win that fight. I showed there was a difference in class, which was very satisfying. And look, I think Martin's a good fighter. I have a lot of respect for his what he's done and the skill set that he has. And like, I think he could go in and beat a lot of guys in the top 10 in the UFC right now. I don't think he's the most exciting fighter, but like I think he's very hard to get around if you do the wrong things against him. But I'm really glad I got to go in and show no, I'm a fighter who's smart enough and at a level that I can go in and pick a guy like that apart without any real like he never really landed on me, you know? He never got going in that fight. And it wasn't just like one big quick shot. It was systematically breaking him, you know? It was what I [ __ ] planned to do for months coming to fruition. And it was like, you know, it was a dream scenario. I couldn't have planned it any better than that where it was like, yeah, it was a minute and 40 seconds long. I got to show a lot of the things that I was working on, you know, the distance, the range, the technique, the timing, the entries, all that [ __ ] And then like, yeah, like now it's just kind of like, cool, did that class, now we're going to make it bigger. Let's keep going. >> Yeah, it was an unbelievable performance. And it's funny how against the highest caliber opponent you've h ever faced, maybe him or Jo, whichever one you want to say, you made it look the easiest. >> But I'll be honest, like look, I this is where I think the branding of the UFC kind of manipulates people's mindsets. Like watching Budai fight, like when I was doing the video work for this guy, I could see a lot of holes and I could see a lot of things that I knew I'd be able to exploit. watching Tada fight who was what 11 and six when I fought him the more I watched him the more I was like man this guy's actually pretty good so even before that like and the TA fight was a way way tougher fight it was five rounds going back and for fight to watch >> yeah yeah too good like I don't want to ever be in a fight that exciting >> was it like being in that fight >> oh [ __ ] [laughter] yeah not as much fun as watching it like fridge coming at you >> yeah and just like every time I hit him he just didn't even react it was like dumb Okay. Dope. Okay. You know, [snorts] >> yeah. >> So, um, [clears throat] but watching those guy like Gai because of the UFC branding, everyone's like, "Oh, wow. He beat a guy seven and one in the UFC." >> Yeah. >> I'm proud of the win. And it's not like I'm like, oh, you know, I think I'm on some unattainable level that nobody else can get to. Aside from those two, you're like, [snorts] it's a pretty [ __ ] weak division, you know? Even like people are getting hyped on Josh Hit now because like what like you know what I mean? That that's the level you're at, man. So, like I'd love the chance to beat the [ __ ] out of Josh Hulk and just show everyone this guy's extremely average. Like, [laughter] so look, like I'd love to get opportunities like that, but I'm very excited the fact that I'm signed into a six-ight deal right now. And like I think there's some big opportunities ahead as long as I keep jumping the barriers that are there in front of me. And right now, that guy Cassim Mars, he's the barrier in front of me. And I think again like that people would look at the Bai fight and be like, "Oh, that's a way bigger fight." The more I've watched the virus, the more I'm like, "Man, this guy presents a lot of [ __ ] challenges. You know, he's going to be a tough fight." And it's like, "Well, if you clear this hurdle and you get over this, now there's the opportunity to like do a few more of those legacy fights. Bring in the likes of Alexander Gustoson or bring in some big name from around Europe where it's like, ah, you don't think I can beat this guy? Watch what I can do to this guy." So to me it's like these are the fights where you pay for the legacy fights if you get me. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Abs. Absolutely. I think like that's what we need to see like we need to see Will Flurry get the opportunity to have these big fights. But again as I say you have to beat the person in front of you and that that that's always most important and I'd love to see that and I'd love to see you verse Alexander Guffson. I think that would be an unbelievable fight because he'll happily come up to heavyweight. He'll fight you there like >> or light heavy we could do either. I don't mind. And like look >> Yeah. The only thing I've heard he's in training and I've heard he's looking to fight again. So, hey, perfect. Yeah. >> And with the new uh contract, is there any opportunity like obviously Netflix are coming into the game now. Is there any opportunity to do a Netflix fight if that that presented itself or are we >> My deal is six fights over two years? No. So, right now my deal is an exclusive deal. six fights, two years, and I will be hopefully just near the end of 38 when that finishes. Possibly just gone 39 depending on how late the contract finishes. >> I'm I'm just wondering to see if Inanu Enu was around looking for looking for >> you know like when you look at it like Fipe Lima and like you know I think it's fairly obvious I'm a much higher level fighter than Philipe Lima and if they wanted a legit challenge for a heavyweight guy, >> who knows where the situation will be in two years. I'm signed into this deal for those two years unless something really big happens. But like and my job is just to go out there and show [ __ ] this guy's class. Keep showing it. Keep doing it. Keep performing. And like I'm very lucky in a way like right we're talking about like I'm going to go over what's it Monday today. I'm going to go off on Saturday and fight in a 20,000 seater stadium where it's going to be packed and the fan base are going to be really passionate about it. >> And we're like oh yeah but Netflix cards or whatever. Man, I'm very happy to be doing what I'm doing in a way, you know, like this is far bigger than I know like in Ireland it doesn't really register as much, but like the events are huge over there. This thing is really big in Central Europe, you know? So, like >> I'm very very lucky that I get to be that guy and I've worked my balls off to be that guy. But >> I'm glad that like this is a thing now. It's like, wow, [ __ ] I'm the star of this. Like, you know, I'm headlining this event in the Uber Arena. Um, you know, which is like it's [ __ ] Glass Arena. I've been there. I was there doing promotional stuff a few weeks ago. It's glass. It's amazing. Like I'm delighted to be in this position. >> Yeah, I think it is absolutely epic. And I love the way Oxon aren't afraid to take a chance on things. Like obviously we saw there recently uh Brian Manning and he does walk outs and they're they're totally happy to lean into a character like that and happy for him to do those sort of bits. And then like I remember watching Octagon one time they had like a paper airplane flying competition like did it land? Really? Probably not. Did I think that was the great? No. But like I didn't they they do quirky stuff and they're willing to take a chance on them and I'm here for that. You know what I mean? Like it doesn't have to land every single time, but like just to do weird stuff that you know makes you like look I remember like whether I thought it was a good idea or not. I remember it. It's the only time I've seen a paper airplane and flying competition at a like >> I go over to a good few of the events just to do promotional stuff. Whatever. >> They're classed. Yeah. Like genuinely, I enjoy going to those shows way more than I enjoy going to any other MMA show. And I'm not just saying this because I'm sign with the lads. >> It's an experience. Like, and that's I think that's kind of why it didn't really land in England >> because >> they sell it as like this isn't just fights. It's an experience. It's a day out. It's like it's a day of entertainment. It's like a little mini festival kind of buzz. And they sell it as that. It's like look, this is like a one day festival and there's some fights on >> and when you're at the shows there's a lot out like obviously the fights are the main attraction >> and a lot of people there are completely fight fans >> but it is like you know if you brought the family and your kids don't give a [ __ ] about fighting there's stuff for your kids to do like you know there's other things going on and it's like it's a weird atmosphere like it's a great atmosphere it's way more enjoyable than any other MMA events I've been to and it kind of like look sitting down for eight hours and watching all the fights. It's fun, but like unless you're really really into fighting and unless the fights are pretty [ __ ] entertaining, it can be a pretty long night sometimes, you know? Whereas over there, they have stuff to break it up. There's generally speaking halftime thing. You can go out, there's good food on the outside. Like there's just there's a lot of other stuff happening around the fights. They kind of break it up and make it a bit more like this is a night out. This is a bit of crack. This is like an event rather than just like a load of lads scrapping each other in a cage. and they do a really good job at like that. And even like the production, the lighting, all of that stuff. It's quite well done. And like even as a fan in the stadium when the guys are walking out, you get like a little, you know, 90 second video of the two guys, the hype up and blah blah blah. And for the main event, that's like a five minute video. And like it gets the crowd. So even if you go as just a casual and you don't know any of the guys fighting, >> you get a little mini story beforehand and it you're kind of invested in the fight more. And you can feel it even as one of the fighters because like say when I was like on the undercard against uh Langer over in Frankfurt. >> Yeah. >> Massive stadium, you know, like the crowd are miles away from you. It's a huge event and it's class because it's such a big event. >> But it's weird like you could feel the energy of the crowd anticipation for an Irish guy and a Slovakian guy fighting each other in some stadium in Germany because they've done a little video beforehand and like that. That's what I mean. It's like the crowd are a little bit more invested. The energy is a bit better. There's a bit more of like a cool atmosphere because of that. And then obviously look when I like say these type of fights now where I'm going to be the main event. >> Yeah. >> There's huge energy. It's class. It's like it's really like you feel the passion coming through, you know? >> Yeah. I think I think that a lot of that could possibly come down to pricing of tickets as well. Like you know what I mean? Like obviously Octagon won't be charged as much as as as Christ. So like I was looking at Yeah. Well, UFC have gone crazy now. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> but like I was actually surprised at how much they're charging for some of the tickets. Like so say for Berlin like a mid-tier ticket stand like it's like 220 quid. >> Oh, sounds big. >> And you're like, >> yeah, it's not too like in Czech Republic they're a go bit cheaper, but in Germany you're like, "Wow, this is not as cheap as I thought it would be." I looked >> That's your new contract, man. >> That's [laughter] the double digger price on my hair. >> You have to pay. You have to pay to see the double champ and that's it, you know. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> And two right and two right. >> Exactly. That's what we're saying. You have to make sure to tune in the on the 20th of the 6th that octagon 90 in Berlin. Will like we also have to mention like Dennis the menus frame pong is going to be on this card and so is Richie SM. This is like a huge card for Irish MA fans, isn't it? >> It is. And like look, [snorts] I think Smalland's a guy who's been massively underpromoted throughout his whole career. Like Dennis does a good job of making himself really relevant and keeping himself in everyone's eyes. And he's gone out and done it, man. like you know he's 8 and2 now and you know >> he's made himself a legit [ __ ] he's part of the staple he's part of the roster now >> and I think it's a tough >> he is yeah no he's like you know he's close to being within that title shot kind of range >> um but he's got a tough fight against Nico Sam who was like Nico's last fight was for the title at featherweight so and Nico's a very good technical fighter um it'll like it'll be an interesting fight. Both guys are great fighters, so it'll be tough one, you know. And again, Richie against Zapir Mosan. It's another tough fight for Richie. And like I really really hope he can go out there and smash him. And like in some ways, I think it's a match up that suits him. But Mosan is very physical. And like I just like I'm hoping to go Rich Richie just has a game to like get him into those entanglements, tie him up, and like Richie can drain anyone in those situations. And he's a guy who like deserves a lot more out of his career than he's gotten out of it, if you know what I mean. Because like in terms of just sheer effort and like willpower to continue to grind, I've never seen anybody like Richie Small and he deserves to get something from that. and like this is kind of the make or break fight in his career I think. Uh and it's kind of gone under the radar a little bit and I'm really excited that I get to be there that night to witness that as well. And like it's gonna be a big night for Irish MMA and it's gonna be a big night for like say me and Richie are kind of that like OG generation where like >> we're sort of in between the lads who like you know say Connor and Colin and Chris and all them boys >> and you know the kind of generation that came slightly after us you know the likes of James and those lads and I feel like we're the two that are still going out that generation if you know like say the generation that I came up with SPG we're the two lads who are still fighting and going at it like and still chasing the thing, you know, and I think the guy deserves a lot more than he's got out of it so far. And I'd love like cuz look, I've had this like kind of lovely end, you know, period of my career where everything's gone amazingly well. I'd love to see Richie get something a bit like that. I think he has the ability to do it. It's more just whether things click on the night, you know. >> Yeah. Well, I don't think there's any reason why why it shouldn't be able to click for him. I think he is an elite >> defin. >> Yeah. And I I I feel like is it is it the fact he's a bit of a quieter character like he's not as he wouldn't be as vocal or out there promoting himself the same way as other people have and that's just like not not his style. But at the end of the day like unbelievable like submission game, unbelievable wrestling game, underrated striking game. And and if anything, I actually think like even his card placement here is like a bit disrespectful to him. I think it's second of the night, you know what I like he could he could like four number four fight number five in featherweight probably the main card fight to be honest. So I I hope he goes in and puts on a performance gets gets a high rail finish and gets to put put back in that title picture. Obviously his last time out he was uh he didn't get his hand raise against Buninger but like a win there and he would have been in for the title. >> Yeah and because of the way he performed against Borbrank >> they were looking at him like oh [ __ ] this guy's damn good. So they did initially have that thing, but then look, it's like anything in this game, one loss really sets you back. And I think like just the fact that it was Bushinger in Slovakia. It's a massive thing for Bushinger then. You know, he's kind of reaffirmed himself as like no, I'm the guard here. I'm the guy. And like I think as well it just it took a while because like they weren't putting him on any card that quickly. He wanted to come back from that loss very quickly obviously. And now it's been like a little while and everyone's asked taste of the guy as the loss of Bushinger. So it's like ah yeah put him on second on the other card and it's like look use that you know use that motivation to go in and [ __ ] smash this guy and like it's a tough fight. It isn't an easy fight like Zeir Mosan he's fought in the PFL. He's been like he's won a couple of very like tough like he's beat legit opponents and he's no joke. But I feel like overall Richie has a way broader skill set than him. And yeah, look, like you can't go in and perform for anybody, but I would love to see him smash it. Like >> Yeah. No, it was a cool picture to see all three is together like and it was just like, "Oh, look, this octagon 90 card is as good as dead." >> We never got that. It was all edited like so like [laughter] >> was it? >> Yeah. Yeah. We just uh [ __ ] edited in. >> Did you actually >> The three of us actually hate each other. Ross, that was like you put the picture of Katy Taylor beside Muhammad Ali. Man, I thought that was real. [laughter] >> No, but like look, obviously for the people tuning in now, like obviously Will's going to be like, well, obviously Champ Champ like main event like cannot miss it. Also, Dennis the Menace Free Punk's going on the card and Richie Small as well. Like this this is huge like in Berlin Octagon 90 on the 206. Will is there anything you want to say to the people that are going to be tuning in or are looking forward to it? Like what what you have to say to the to the people? Well, look, if you're an Irish fan and you enjoy high level MMA, just watch me fight. Like, go back, watch a few of my old fights, even if you want to before you [ __ ] buy a pay-per-view there. But, like, I don't know anyone in like [snorts] representing Ireland who's fighting at the level I'm fighting at right now and doing what I'm doing. So, you know, if you want to have a look, please have a look, see what I'm doing out there. I'm representing Ireland. I'm doing me best for the country to put the Irish MMA scene on the map over in Europe. Um, >> more so tipperary, but >> yeah, like tipperary as well, obviously. But hey, look, it's part of Ireland. And like I think as well, like it's a whole night of Irish MMA. We have Richie, we have Dennis, and even just like tune in. The events are good. The production's really good. The like the commentary team do a [ __ ] great job. It's very professional. It's very big. Like, it's huge over there. But hopefully Irish people can get on board with a little bit. We can get a bit going and like please God, sooner or later it'll get on some terrestrial station over here and it'll be on Virgin Media or be on some channel that people can watch it easily and then I think things will get a lot bigger. >> There we have it. Dennis, long live Dennis, man. Um, so Ross, absolutely buzzing for that event. There is loads more Irish MMA content to go over. So, we will get into that. But over the weekend, the UC was back. It was in the White House UC 250 freedom card. Ross, we have to start at the main event as Justin Gatei defeated Ilia Taporia for the world title and he's now the new lightweight champion. Ross, what let me ask you this. Did you expect Justin Gishi to win and what did you make of the way he actually won the fight? >> I did not expect him to win going into I expected Ptori or Tori to win via maybe first round or second round TKO. didn't expect it to see past the third round and if tri was going to win it was going to be the way he won it turn it into a war and look I think was probably close enough to putting away in the first round maybe in the second round he landed some nasty shots like that body work I don't know how Justin Gates did survive that I'd say the liver is not in the best shape today but uh yeah look that was an absolute phenomenal performance from both like I think Tapora executed his game um the way he intended to, but he just couldn't actually get GI away. And Gachi did what he did. You know, I I don't mean to be rude to him, but it was almost like he Homer Simpsons his way to a victory. >> He is he is Homer Simpson, man. >> What What is that guy's body made out of? Well, how can he withstand that amount of shots, that amount of power? And those those lead uppercuts that he was throwing really busted up to Porio's face. And I don't know how Justin Gage looked like he wasn't in a war himself. Like he looked fairly unscathed coming out the fight, but Tori landed some massive shots had Gage hurt on multiple occasions in the fight. But as the fight went on, it was sort of I'm going to say halfway through the second Gachi started sort of the the tide started changing, but even the third round Poria got on top of him and had him in full mountain. Nearly finished there again. But uh like you said, Gachi just would not go away. But I thought the entire I actually just sort of want to talk about the actual event itself. Like the actual setting of the White House, they did like such a cool job. It looked so cool seeing the White House in the background. The ring walks were epic. Um seeing Tuporia come from the White House was so cool. Uh or from the Oval Office was so so cool. Even the sort of vignettes um the way Justin Gatei came out and there was like the eagle there and when Tapori was coming out the bull was there. I I actually think there should be more sort of I don't know when I call them Titanrons. That's why I always sort of call them WWE. I think like adding those adding those graphics and adding those effects to the walkouts. I think made it felt really special. The event felt very very very special. >> I think the White House was everything the Sphere wanted to be except um it just wasn't compared to this. This was this felt like a special event. The results felt special. Um the the each fighter on the on the night felt special from Diego Lopez winning the opening fight in the night to Justin Gachi, you know, coming out there and and becoming the champion. I thought it and everything in between. They were all unbelievable fights and you know what it made me really look the UFC and go I really like an eight fight card. >> I agree. Um, do you know what the one thing that like when I was watching Dana walk out with Trump from from the White House and walk >> it looks a bit awkward I thought. >> Yeah. Well, it was more like I was thinking like Dana must be like wow like we couldn't even get this in anywhere eight years ago and now like we're literally having a fight on the White House lawn. Like I mean like that must have been like I made it. Even though obviously he's made it made it like >> and I'm sure there was loads of detractors to this event. And I thought it was an absolute spectacle. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. See, and at the end day, like governments waste taxpayers money all the time. You know what I mean? And I'm sure some taxpayers money was used to pay for this. I'm sure a lot of UFC money was used to pay for that. But at the end of the day, that was an absolute event for the ages. That was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I was entertained the entire time. Why didn't they just they should have just flown them out like they they could they should have done something, man. Some sort of AI thing. Yeah, but I thought I thought like all Connor's talk that you know he would have been at the White House for for this and Max Hollowway in Hawaii like Max Hollowway looked like he was on on his gamer chair doing the doing the interview. It just didn't have the feel for and also if they were doing a pre-record should would they not make sure that the audio and the Wi-Fi was good? No. >> Yeah. >> It was just it was just quite poor. Were you surprised by that result? >> When I actually saw them like moving I I I thought Pereira's have to put on too much size and he wasn't as light in his feet as would have seen. I think if Pereira did the camp like he did his live heavyweight camp and then just like weighed 232 lbs or 20 whatever he weighs I think we would have seen a better version of Alex Pereira. I think he tried to bulk up and like he outweighed Sel Gan on the night and I just thought he just looked a bit clumpier, bit slower, wasn't as fluid. looked like he spent a lot of time trying to put on the size and I don't think he actually needed to put on the size especially for Gan because Gan is like nimble and movement and wants to wants to strike with him. So I think that's that's where he went wrong and look fair play to serial Gan I think he gets a bit of disrespect from times but uh that that that was a big win for him and look him versus Tom seems like the logical next move to make if we ever get to see Tom Asol back in the acton sometime soon. Did Did you see the way when they announced your Organ's winner and they're like, "And still the UFC he heavyweight champion." He was like, "Still?" What? >> No, I didn't actually see that, but >> gas. >> Yeah, he was like he looked totally confused. And then um obviously Josh Hockett defeated Derrick Lewis. Um Rufy defeated Michael Chandler and then also Sha Ali got the win as well. But like overall >> it's when you cover the sport and then you watch that you're just like wow. Cuz like all the young fighters coming through that that we're going to discuss in in a bit on Cage Warriors and stuff. this is something that they want to get on to, you know, I mean I'm sure like Sean Oannon was sitting home being want wanting to be on that like Ian Garry like Conor McGregor probably would have loved to been on that like you know >> so I think so like I think um just just to like touch on those fights just because it was such a momentous occasion like I think Shawn Ali might have secured himself a title shot off that win the walk-off KO the best we've seen look in a very long time Josh Hoka coming out to I'm a real American like what a guy like and at the end of the Hey, you know, he talks the talk. His stick isn't for everyone. Um, I I I think I like him post or post fight interview sort of. Uh, and that's that's enough of it if you know what I mean. Like the press conferences are too much, you think. Uh, but he went in there and performed, you know, moved 10 and0. Um, I think it would have been cool to let Michael Chandler retire in the octagon. I think he should have retired there and then at the White House. I think that would have been like a fitting end to his career. He's just not at the level anymore. And uh obviously Celty Bone Nickel get back on track. And then Diego Lopez winning and saying he's still ready to go for the main event if they need him. What a guy. Then there's just two more things I want to touch on there as well. How good is Patty Pimlet after watching Gachi defeat Tapori there? And also how good is Shawn Jones after defeating Zel Gan and watching him compete there? Yeah, I think uh I think Taporia versus Patty Pimlet is the fight to make next regardless of Patty Pimlet winning or or not against Benois Saint. I think that's the fight to make. Taporia versus Patty Pimla. I think that would be huge. Um and look, Patty Piml stock as always keeps on rising. So I think that's that's a huge one for Patty Pimla. I think Justin Gai faces the winner of Max Hol versus Conor McGregor. I think that's the that's the next step there. I think uh you know if if McGregor wins obviously I think he'll come back down to lightweight for a title shot and if Max Holloway wins Max already has a win over him so I think that would be cool to run that one back in terms of Jon Jones uh win over Sarah Gan obviously Jon Jones is the greatest heavyweight light heavyweight of all time after will flurry and I think look [snorts] it's going to be very interesting to see uh how gang gets on against Tomas ball next I think that's the only fight to make a heavyweight as well. I I I can't really see anyone else there who people are dying to see. I think if Josh Hog gets one more win, I think he's he's in that mix. >> Yeah. >> And if it's not Aspenol, it could be Josh Hog next. >> Yeah. I just can't believe Aspenol wasn't there either. He's looking to go in there, get a finish, and try and push for that for that welterweight title scrap against Sean Clansancy. That's that that's where he wants to be. or Justin Berlinson, who whoever is available, that's where he wants to be. Andreas Spinder is in here to make a bit of noise and uh progress his career and I'm here for it. Um >> yeah, and and also ever since Leon Hill now signed with the PFL, that's one less welterweight in the mix. >> Absolutely. Shout out to Leon Hill for signing with PFL. Great addition to the roster for them. >> Then also Saul King Simon, he's back in action. He's going to be fighting a lightweight Ross. Very interesting. You know, he's always absolutely jacked at all times. And it's going to be very very interesting to see taking on Eric Mera. I think Eric Mer is nine and three. So, it's not like he's coming in against an absolute slouch. Uh, I think Saul will be looking to write the wrongs of that last performance and he'll probably have a bit of urgency about getting a finish and probably looking for a finish early on in that scrap. I'd say uh I I wouldn't want to be the person who fights Solomon Simon after losing his featherweight title. >> No. And then we also have to give a shout out to J Harris as well, Ross. He's looking more jacked than ever, man. >> Yeah, he really is. He's looking in the best shape of his career. He's fighting K Allen Car J Harris. He badly needs a win and I think uh he'll definitely be going out there to try and get that win under his belt. So, look, J Harris is definitely one to watch. always entertain inside and outside the cage. >> Yeah. And then uh the only Irish female fighting this weekend as Emma Darcy from Compound Martial Arts is back in action. Ross, yes, she is. She's fighting Elsa Serretzo. I think Emma Darcy, we seen her sort of in her first couple of fights that uh she leaned in more with the hands and she was very heavy with the hands and I'd like to see her go back to that style. I'd like to see her really implement that strong boxing game and I think she can definitely get get the job done if she does lean into that. >> Yeah, I can't wait to see her back in action. And then obviously this is a big fight as well. CMAC's very own Trevor Mckeno is taking on myo's Mario Ror in an all Irish dust cross in Manchester Friday night. >> I I think this one has the opportunity to be h fight of the night. I think two Irish guys going in there both like to throw hands. I can't wait to see it. Trevor Mckeno has been chomping at the bit to get back in there since his last loss and hio will make his pro debut. So, I can't wait to see it. The only fight that could that could be topped by that is Alexander Osullivan versus Alexander Lof. Absolute gang buster fight and the winner that could eas title fight. But Basmo Cage is unplugged live from the BEC arena June 19th. I am absolutely buzzing for Andre has been there in the main event. He's looking to put himself in title contention. Adam Cullen's fighting Carlos Jones or Jones Jr. And McCullen will be looking to make make it a walk towards the title, maybe even a walk towards a contender series bout, but this is the one that we want to see. Someone must go. George Stains fighting out of nextgen Liverpool 9 and0. We've seen him fighting Octagon. He's made a massive splash on the cage scene. He is one to definitely watch out for. 9 and0. One of Patty Pimman's main uh training partners. He is really looking to push towards a contender series or a title shot at Cagewires. And standing across from them from him is one of the best amateur fighters this country has ever produced. Now as a pro, he's staying undefeated 6-0. The one and only Conor McCarthy out of SBG Nate. The Hot Stepper has been absolutely electric since he moved into the pro scene and he takes on his toughest challenge today by then some in George Saints. I can't wait to see it. Bud, >> yeah, absolutely. There is one one more thing that I did want to bring up. Uh let's take a little trip over to Finland to see uh Team KF. Team KF had two two big uh wins over the weekend. Dominic Norcus went in and got a first round TKO finish. Not only did he get a first round TKO finish, but he stepped up two weight classes. He followed Middleweight to get the job done. So shout out to Dom Norcas. What a guy. >> I didn't know that was middleweight. >> Yeah, Middleweight. So shout out to Dom Norcas. Huge achievement over there. would love to see him fight an Octagon. I think he'd be a perfect fit for the Octagon model and I think he'd be very very entertaining and interesting there. And then shout out to Omar Tugarev who picks up biggest win of his career. I know he won the cage warriors belt but this time he was fighting Cowboy Olivea. So no doubt he's moved to 10 and one. He will be looking for a contender series um spot or he'll be looking for a PFL contract next and that man just picked up the biggest scalp of his career and I can't wait to see it. So shout out to all of team KF. Big wins all round. Can't wait to see it. But as you said, Bosmo, we are going from Finland to Carlo. Who knows where we go. He went the entire way and got submissions from uh start to finish in the tournament. So, shout out to him. Looked really, really impressive. Uh wins over uh Ben Hatton Walsh, wins over um he'll come to me now. Wins over Conor McAllister and various others. So, fair play to him. He ran the bracket. He went home with the 1,600 euro, the belt, and a bottle of champagne that he sprayed all over the place. So, uh shout out to him. That was really, really impressive. Do you think he should have been promoted then after winning the whole entire tournament? >> Um, I suppose that's up to his coach and he he was actually cornered by his mom the whole time. So, shout out to his man as well. Uh, which was very very impressive. But I'm going to talk about maybe a few of the performances that I was really impressed with on the day. Um, Adam Mills had a great boogie choke win over Clifford Francis. Clifford Francis previously had a win over him. So, I'd say that was a a huge scalp for him. Ben Hatton Walsh, the underdog, the overtime king. He went to overtime twice and won via ride time. So that was unbelievable. He only came in on short h short notice. He was se nine for the tournament. That was really impressive. Conor McAllister h he was really really impressive as was Charlie Free in the early early uh rounds of the tournament. So that was really really cool. And then in the bet matches, Lachlan Enright won via submission as in Matthew Booth. Matthew Boot is forever and always one of the most entertaining competitors on the scene and what a character as well. Unbelievable stuff. Shout out to all the guys at the Money Pit. Shout out to all the guys down in Caro. And uh shout out to BJJ Dylan while we're at it. That guy's getting shout outs to beat the band these days. But uh what a guy. What an event. So very well. Really really enjoyed watching from start to finish. Unbelievable stuff. I think uh in terms of Irish BJJ I think um obviously AJ Adogi uh won it. Um massive props to him but for me h Adam Mills and Ben Hatton Walt their stock probably rose the most ever out of everyone there for me in the 16 man bracket and uh Matthew Boot looks like he might be the it would have been really cool to see him in the tournament. He looks like he might be the blue belt to watch. >> Yeah. No, Matthew Boots is very good and also Adam Mills as well. >> Yeah. Yeah, especially what what he did in ADCC as well, his finishes. >> Yeah. >> But overall, Ross, cut us a promo on that to see if we get the invite to the the money pit number two. >> Jeez, I thought I already did, but uh >> man, >> look, the money pit, it was an event to be watched. First ever event. Put on an absolute h seamless stream from start to finish. Really, really enjoyed it. The commentary team was great. Ryan Mangan and Nick Donley. I thought that was unbelievable. two black belts, both wearing cowboy hats like someone out of Brokeback Mountain. You look to see it. H AJ Adogi takes home the big prize. 1,600 euro in cash. Incredible to see. Hatton Walsh, overtime king, the ultimate underdog. I absolutely love it. The dark horse. He was the main man. Uh unbelievable to see. He went over 20 minutes of pure grappling before the final match. Adam Mills wrapping up another boogie choke, the boogie boogie choke king. and Matthew Booth and um Lock Enright. Unbelievable. Taking 200 euro straight out of their opponent's pocket and sticking into theirs in the bet matches. I love the money pit. I can't wait for uh the money pit too. I think we'll be even more involved than we were the last time. What an event. What a great thing to add to the BJJ calendar. And make sure to check them out. >> Yee-ha. I think they were having problems with the with the Wi-Fi there. But the big biggest winner on the night, Mick McBride um from New Grapple. What a guy. H he went out there and he became their bantamweight champion. So he he's a really really top fighter from New Air. Good coach out there as well. So really really exciting to see. Um we also have uh I think there was a a new ban super bantamweight champion as well. Um so we'll be interested to see um where Cam Wars go 56. Obviously they were sort of marred with injuries uh on this night. So let's see let's see what happens there. But um sorry it was Omar Alhaj. He beat Jerry Downing in a split decision for the super brand. So maybe we'll get Mick McBride versus Omar H at some sort of champion versus champion fight down the line. But uh Clan Wars, great to see them putting on events. Great to see them flying the Irish MMA flag and I can't wait for Clan War 56. >> Yeah. No, also your man that's a that's a good win for Mick and also that's a really good that's that's another big win for your man Omar as well. >> Yeah. Big time. >> Yeah. So, as we said, Ross, this weekend, make sure to check out Octagon 90. The three lads, Will, Dennis, and Richie all competing on the card like that. Like the the the show that Oon put on is crazy. It's great. Then also on Friday, Cageworth 206 goes down. Host of Irish on that card. Cage War 207 goes down Saturday night as well. Connor McCarthy flying the flag, Nace's very own. And then also domestically, Valor go combat series goes down on Saturday as well. So look, we'll keep you up to date with all that. I think Ernie Broen very very underrated. He gave Jared Ryan a really good run for his money last time out and I think he'll be gunning to get that that first professional win under the belt. Shake Cleland went in there and got a TKO in the first round h your fighting championship. I think that's a really really good matchup. It's a a very very big fight uh on a card that has sort of mixed combats on it and I think it's Talos versus New Underground in two different tag team matches. One in the ghee, one the no ghee. So Valor Fighting Championships is definitely one to keep an eye on. H they announced their DJ. There's knockout and submission prizes on the night as well for people to get knockouts and submissions. So again, it's another unique event. I like to see events take their own style and implement there. So make sure to get up to Valor and get the stream if if you're interested because I think it's a great event.
