Wars 153 Dublin it is Jimbo slice James Sheen and it is the Welsh gangster Oban Elliott Lads how are we doing yeah welcome to the show Lads the countdown is well and truly on um Oban I saw you teasers for yeah maybe first and you know you sort of gave Dublin and the eyes emoji at one stage on Twitter how excited were you to get on this card yeah it's a it's a big one in there I mean it's more like I guess the card itself I haven't really got an armor short but like the um I guess the fight itself is is what I'm excited about whether it was in I I guess about this I haven't really given I'll be honest with you the fact it's in Dublin I haven't given that a second vote but the fight itself is a good one okay a bit more media push behind you it has a bigger Point Andrew said yeah yeah and I guess now I guess now it's getting close so I do realize that this is you know it's it's going to be big over there but absolutely and then what about yourself James obviously yeah Hometown live fighting in three Arena massive crowd this one must be a big one for you and the friends of family yeah it's kind of the it's kind of the same thing as Auburn like it was more of that like I have to last for it I kind of knew that it was going to be me and him kind of in like number one Contender spot did someone tell you that no I just had a feeling I had a feeling I was going to be me and you fair enough because both of our roses were fairly similar like what I think you have one more win in your record than me and the guys that we had beaten it just it made sense I think you kind of nailed as well yeah um yeah I agree so I did I didn't think there was going to be in Dublin and when they when they announced it was in Dublin the same thing I was like oh that's that's that's an added noisy but same thing I'm more I'm more interested in the fights like regardless of friends fans whatever artists it's it's the fight that it's always me or I'm delighted that it is I don't have to do the travel and stuff but it's it's the fight and it's the number one container spot that that's what excites me before no no never never didn't even see you down in London in November we didn't even cross paths in the hotel or anything no look obviously at the weigh-ins that's that's about it but this is number one [ __ ] uh yeah like obviously James Roy in the 45 win streak album and you're riding three four win streak like maybe we haven't heard from mean dean or green Boyle official in the Morgan tender fight but Lads is there anyone else in the division who can even make a claim for it everyone in the division but I like a few people and like even like who who's left like I know Carlo Carlos parasoli but he's he he's kind of back and then you were mentally skavinsky and he fought no one talk about it it was a 185 but it was a middleweight fight now I've done three week classes but what if I just did some silly little cat week fight against someone with less than five fights but it was gonna be I'm gonna be like but I made the storyline now with the whole [ __ ] middleweight thing and then it was I guess not movies in my ears but then uh I think shaky might have sent me the [ __ ] sent me the interview you are with Edith James yes and you you said you're gonna probably want to fight me remember that so then I was like well [ __ ] up he's done the he's done the bit that's usually really difficult for me and and said it might be days instead of with a camera in front of his face and that's what I was like well yeah this will be the number one guitar fight [ __ ] this is how can they deny that because every other [ __ ] that was in it that there's this in with the shout as [ __ ] gone on or not today so I mean so [Music] it really is it's great to have two Lads or games for each other and uh boa top division uh I'm gonna ask you about the same question James the what the weight division is a bit of a strange place because obviously Rhys McKee wants to defend the title in Dublin and go on to the UFC and Jimmy Waller had said he's going to record regardless of the result so this is this is the closest thing you probably get to the winner will be the own Crown King of the welterweight division um yeah it actually like the amount of people have asked me about like what's good what's gonna happen like two the world's great Division I actually have no clue like because you never you never know with Isaac Jimmy called commands and feel good or whatever and then say like oh I might have another year or even like the UFC might not want Reese straight away but like you never [ __ ] know to be honest and the amount of guys that are just popping up in the division as well like it boy far it's the most stacked division in cage Wars boyfriend like if you if you look at like even though like me and Albert are saying like where did where the top two guys right that are going for number one container spot if you look at the guys that we've beaten or fought or like or even in the roster like it's probably five the most stacked so like it's just it's just interesting even even um with with um recent Jimmy gone like there'll be guys lined up there to fight them what's your take on the oven yeah I I agree well me and me and [ __ ] Shiana gonna throw down and then we'll probably rematch with a vacant belt but I mean James has got a point so I'm going to say key uh but [ __ ] right boys let's let's talk about the fight uh oh man how does he how did you see the Foy playing out mate [ __ ] up I ain't got a [ __ ] clue [Laughter] there's I don't have any [ __ ] [ __ ] prediction like like you see all the time as you've just alluded to and James James are you skipping passes sorry are you skipping classes James like it's once you get into cage Wars like it's just Eva with this fight especially it's just you you don't take guys lately there's no taken there's no taking anyone lately in this division each each fight is a staple and you have to step up in your preparation mentally and physically and like that you you you have to be ready and with this game it's it's [ __ ] brutal and you have to be like tipped up like there's there's no easy voice and like like album says you can go in and I've obviously worked certain things and to follow that open but like you can go in and to fight at the end of the day and yeah have to react you have to you have to react to how the fight's going and the game plan can go able to go away in the first 10 seconds in the first 20 seconds or whatever like you you never [ __ ] know so honestly I'm just going in there prepared the best we can the best skills that I have the best cardios I have I've gone in and looking for the win and obviously I'm gonna in the lead of have certain things that are gonna work to capitalize on album the same thing it's avoid at the end of the day does it there's a sense of like anything that it's it's Lads nearly that they're scared that they're they keep on telling them so it is how the fight's gonna go I'm not scared to say that there's there's kind of you you don't know in a fight you don't know you just have to prepare the best way you can and you have to believe in yourself and that's it I think some people are delusional it cringes me out as well oh I'm gonna [ __ ] do you in the first round mate what [ __ ] you on about like this [ __ ] you know we could both this is I think I've seen somewhere over broke me and James are gonna get far regardless what happened so it is cringy because even like it's saying like you're you're [ __ ] off the fans as well so you might get a great clip in the lead up to the fight and like oh yeah I'm gonna run out here I'm flying knee open in the first five seconds yeah yeah 100 I never get to the fight and it's [ __ ] [ __ ] and in this case you know two guys are coming in taking it seriously and you're gonna have a war you're gonna have a great fight I think that's what it's gonna be it's gonna be a [ __ ] Warf thing yeah I think that will be I think there's going to be [ __ ] blood everywhere I think you know it's going to be one of them yeah maybe you're not as good as they think you are but in my head I think you're [ __ ] good so I think we're gonna it's gonna it's gonna it's gonna be a big one it's gonna be [ __ ] hard work for the whole time that that fight is on and that's what I'm I'm getting on a plane to to come over and take part in I know that for a fact tell us this about about the Irish crowd like normally you're a master fan favorite how do you feel about coming over to Dublin yeah a couple of you probably the first time your career you got billed mate I'm I kind of [ __ ] I don't put too much thought into anything like I didn't give any thought behind this this interview today I didn't have any lines that set up in my head cheers I don't be disappointed man but I could have woke up maybe if we did it tomorrow I might have felt the need to [ __ ] out and [ __ ] play up and play to play to the booze or whatever but this is this is just I'm going I'm not going over there for [ __ ] WWE match I'm going over there for a unarmed combat I've shaved my [ __ ] headboard for a reason mate I am literally this is this is [ __ ] big is it's getting me [ __ ] fired up even talking about it I'll be honest like this has probably been one of the more intense face off we've thrown but out of pure respect as in like YouTube boys are Chum not the bit to get in there and you can really feel it well I can anyway can you feel the tension in the air right now I don't know what happened like it's like it's like it's like you're you're sort of sick of all the faff already like you just want to get in there and Juke it out and find out who's the think I can get to the [ __ ] top and every single person on along the way he's just in my [ __ ] way I'm afraid and look James is like a [ __ ] he's a respectful guy he called called for the fight and all that but I'm fighting in his hometown and there's this uh there's this [ __ ] big event uh in his backyard for him and he's got a big [ __ ] fight and maybe he's the right guy in the right place at the right time or maybe he's the right guy in the right place at the wrong time because he's got to come across me we'll we'll [ __ ] find out in three weeks by the moment are you bringing many people over which area there's a few people yeah there's a few of the boys it's a [ __ ] dangerous crowd coming over oh Don't Mess don't mess with the old vanilliant army nah well you'd be [ __ ] pretty silly too I'm not gonna lie a fair at all you know they're tough over there as well it's a bit of a [ __ ] rough place Albert Hillary's finest ah no I'm not quite Murphy did Bill mate oh geez actually someone called the guards [Laughter] called the police this this to me has probably written all over when the announce all the points in the card like yeah I'm excited for Jimmy and Reese yeah Corella and Chase like bringing Floyd but like oh no this one was the icing on the cake this is the one that went like cage Warriors Dublin was being announced I was like this before I want to see on the card and then when they announced it like I was like the fight speaks for itself that's honestly at the end of the day you can get a good interview with elder someone or you can just be excited what's the fight and that's really like after what are you going to be talking about the interview before or the fight after I'm like that's it you're going to be talking with this for it after we talk about glasses I've never felt like this before I'm coming I'm just coming for [ __ ] war I've never felt like this before I am just that this is [ __ ] I don't know I'm I'm I'm what will be will be but I know whatever happens I've I've come [ __ ] ready I'm coming I'm I'm coming to what they say [ __ ] burn the boats I haven't heard of it sounds like a voice box I'm coming up on your 153 Dublin it doesn't get much bigger it doesn't get much better and because you still have tickets for sale in um for for the various people yeah so okay around so uh this will not be missed this is going to be one of the biggest events at cage Warriors had this year and the Staffing one of the biggest MMA events on Irish soil or you can't wait for it the boys can't wait for it this has been
