okay what's going on guys welcome to a brand new episode of energized rosco the champions league is back the champions league is back in probably the strangest format we have ever seen i suppose we didn't get the euros this summer so we've got the champions league instead um a worthy replacement one might say yeah um i'm surprised you didn't start off with the show with the singing of the the anthem of the champions league oh i know yeah i i've done before about that i don't think i have it in the vocal range uh for me today but it's not i don't think so okay and also the uh sort of the ugly step-headed child of chapstick the europa league is also back the europa league is back that's actually awesome competition no one wants to be in but everyone wants to win yeah so we're today on today's show we are going to be going over the champions league fixtures that are on this week because next week on wednesday the championship quarter finals happened about the europa league we're going to be looking at that as well so if you are new to the show make sure to like and subscribe uh roscoe so we'll start off with the champions league what game should we start off because the chumpsy returns this friday the 7th juventus is taking on lyanna eight o'clock and man city are taking on real madrid at eight o'clock as well two great fixtures yeah two really really good pictures um i think we'll start off with man city versus real madrid man city are one of the favorites to win this entire tournament i think they're uh joined favor with bayern munich yeah the funny thing about them is that they're coming up against real madrid the team has won this competition far more times than they announced and also they won the league this year which is not uh something that real madrid have done a lot of recently this mature team is pretty good yeah like going through this game man city are leading 2-1 and aggregate as well so that's something that you should not forget yeah um the only thing is i don't think sergio aguero is going to be back for this game so that will definitely reduce their employer power yeah um and then in terms of real madrid i can't believe that real madrid won la liga without cristiano ronaldo and then you know with a very very much so disgruntled character kareem benzema stood up and said i'm the main man in this team and he's been brilliant for them yeah they have changed the way they've played uh they still have the trio in the midfield with moderate casimiro and cruz but going into this game like they def like they need a win one nil is definitely enough for that without sergio ramos so maybe it is slightly fair now that aguero's out and ramos is out so uh the left or everyone else is there to take over yeah i would strongly favor city for this tour especially our favorite city against any team in the world if they're going in with two away goals to one home goal and and also pep guardiola i mean he was brought into man city not to win the premier league he was brought there to win the champions league yeah like i was talking we were talking off air about this that uh the winner of this game plays the winner of juventus and leon and like i was like what game would be better obviously juventus to either play man city or real madrid what would you rather see so it's like ronaldo against bruin or against like sergio ramos or else ronaldo up against laporte i think i'd rather juventus win and real madrid and then see ronaldo take on his old club yeah well i think that will be very very interesting uh all the times ronaldo came back to old trafford with uh real madrid it didn't end well for manchester united so uh he he's gonna come back to haunting teams the only thing is uh you know that's a tall glass of milk juventus have to get boy as well and leon pushed psg the whole way to penalties in the cup foreign um in france there and you know memphis deploy is back from injury yeah he is he played the game against psg so that's definitely puts you know a boost in morale and spirits for the lyon team and they're not just going to roll over for juventus either they didn't the first leg round they were uh got one in a win and at the end of the day you know and that juventus team has to come out and show something because towards the tail end of syria they look very poor yeah yeah i know now i know the rest of ronaldo and they sort of had already won the title but you don't exactly want to be going into your last few games losing matches you know burning out well because the league was wrapped up maybe they took the foot off the gas look at the way liverpool did it as well but um looking at both fixtures i think eventually get the job done would you agree yeah i think so yeah but then who are they going to play man city around madrid that is the question man i think it will be man city i really would i i think man city are more of a dead search going through out about all four teams like i always still think that leon teams will be very very difficult to be very difficult so you think juventus is going to play man city i think so well i wouldn't be surprised to learn play mancy geez i think i think i think leon have a better chance going through than real madrid see that's the thing i think events will get true okay but like leon that's a good point you're out there because lyanna away so if they won leon get one away go i think that means you've been scored three three yeah yeah oh but i think i think juventus will hold out they have they haven't been as good at the back as i thought they would be i mean they got delayed and he hasn't he hasn't really set the world of light there they have made some stupid defensive errors but you see the thing is i do see man city scoring against real madrid but i think they have more going for them so i think man city will win that game 2-1 as well and i think juventus i was going to say juventus win 2-1 as well but that means leon will go through oh you know what i hope the more the more like the more i think about it i actually honor are going to go through you know like it's been a very very strange year this year and weird stuff has happened and if any weird stuff is going to happen maybe leon go true so what results are you going for oh i agree with you you said i think it'll be 21 juventus and the arm will go through and i think it'll be too all in the madrid versus man city game okay just because i want the event to go through i'm gonna say two nil juventus and then i'm gonna go man city two one question for you does it very much so bolster ronaldo's goat status if he can win the champions league with three different clubs that's a very good question vlog i'll answer that with a question back do you see the winners of this season's champions league as actual dare winners you know because in order and other games like people that are talking about the nba to talk about other sports the what is it the stanley cup the nhl people are saying oh they're not going to be seen as like official champions no i do see them as the official champions at the end of the day those players play the games on the pitch and there are the results you know i mean regardless whether they're fans in the arena or not regardless of preparation change at the end of the day the actual physical game of football hasn't changed i mean well they actually had a water breaking so like players actually should be more refrigerated yeah so at the end of the day whoever wins the champions league for me is the champions league winner and that's it although it will be it will be unless they defend their champions league next year probably the shortest in terms of time span uh reign as champ as the winners yeah yeah because the winner of champ league will probably happen in june next year yeah it's gonna be it's gonna be a crazy season next season but uh yeah no to go back to your question do ronaldo win the champions league with three different teams yeah like it's what people are going to look back on in in decades to come and when they measure up messi versus ronaldo they're gonna be like well ronaldo did it three different teams yeah it's a bit of the jordan lebron questions oh it is it's just totally the jordan lebron question um yeah so like out of these two games they're happening on friday i would prefer juventus go through and i'd actually would like to see juventus get through juventus against real madrid but uh i think it's going to be man city you're taking on juventus and you think it's going to be lyon against monty yeah that's interesting man that's interesting although i'm the king of getting predictions wrong in the football these days yeah shut up get out to the blue lions losing to the gooners the gooners i'll also uh i think i said to you yesterday off camera that brentford were going to get promoted against fulham in the district yeah well yeah yeah so shout out to arsenal for winning the fa cup as well uh shout out to fulham for getting promoted just just when you're on that basmati why do they get a trophy for in the playoffs that's like the stupidest thing i've ever seen i know it's just for the occasion itself you know yeah but like if you finish second league you get nothing it's like ah trophy for being the third best out of from third to seventh in the league well it is like a mini competition semi-finals and final as well if you're looking that way yeah i just think it's a bit unnecessary yeah and they've won it twice now in watch the barcelona game just because that game has a bit more to play for um i'm a big fan of bournemouth this year i think they look great but they're already three looks therefore that game's almost dead in the water and let's be honest with people's it should probably be out pedro's gone william was out for the cup finals so he's probably not playing uh well as for the also did his hamstring in i mean the dutch health team is absolutely depleted and to ask them to try and claw back three goals against bar munich it's just not going to happen no if they had a one if they had to won the cup final you could see them spurring on excuse the coin to be honest i actually expect warren to win that game outright as well as a whole why is that more so because the german football stopped for so long that they'll probably play their first team anyway to get that football back you know on the pitch they want to get their match fitness up so i could see them playing their full-time strength team yeah they are at home as well they are yeah at the audience arena so yeah tell the story about the time where you got charlie or the allianz arena for the people that don't know okay so i'll try and swim it down into three minutes so myself barry and my brother chris who i don't know if you follow us on instagram you're probably seeing us with him a few times uh we were all we're doing a bit of euro trip and we started off in berlin then we went to prague and then we went to munich and we finished off in amsterdam but when we're in munich we're like oh i'd love to see the adios arena so we all decided we were going to go i go to the alliance arena uh it's actually quite a bit out toy munich it's sort of off in the wilderness by itself it'd be like wembley yeah exactly that's very good comparison um we went to the alliance arena we rocked up um we were like how did we get home oh well we'll worry about that later uh and then we went up to the stadium tour so we were looking around or whatever went up the desk how much did the tour don't say it was 20 quid or something at the time and we're like right do you have the tour in english they were like yeah next was that three o'clock now this is 12 o'clock during the day and we're like oh my god we're not waiting for that long uh we sort of just had to chat among ourselves so we actually don't really care what they have to say to us we sort of just want to see the stadium and was like when's the next german tour and they're like ah there's one and a half 12. we're like perfect glad we're going on the german tour hope you brought dictionary uh so we went to the german tour or whatever uh an english tour was actually started at the same time and i'd say we were on the german tour for maybe five ten minutes and i was like this is actually actually i'm sort of interested in what they have to say so we actually sort of snuck on to the english tour where our mate sven and uh sven was like a guy with like long hair glasses a pair of asics on and because he was a quite the geek so we were on the tour uh we were showed the change room you kept making these terrible jokes you made what about phil plan being short or something and that's why the bath wasn't that big do you remember that yeah but i know where you're going so carry on so then next thing you know they go this is where the players walk out into the pitch right yeah and then they go they go so they get a slowing up in two teams um they play the champs league music and they get us way to walk out with the pitch and like i thought i actually thought like there's gonna be like my own baths right like because the sort of canopy was short so you couldn't actually get in with the pitch oh yeah they were gonna like draw back the canopy and you're like you wrote everyone's pitch and i thought it was gonna be like in the moments of a lifetime where you're running on the audience and they play the champions league music you're about to walk out and he's like oh you don't get to go on the and we're like that's  right and then he sort of brought us around to saying we sort of said to each other you don't really get close enough to the pitch to you know sort of get that moment if you i mean yeah you were never we were never pitch side yeah we talked during the tour we'd be loud sitting the dog out and stuff yeah um that just never came to fruition whatsoever and you did get to learn cool things about like 1860 and stuff like that during the tour so like you know i would have always done if you're there why not but then your mama sort of like tours over so we were we're like oh wasn't those were fully satisfied and i was like we take it down onto the pitch and i was like oh what's the worst that could happen we've already done the tour yeah so then we legit down to the pitch get our photos and then sven started to kick us out and tell us we'd never be allowed back in the alliance arena so if you're ever over in the alliance arena looking for photos of me boss and chris we're banned for life and then we met this um this brother and sister from southampton and then they thought we were serious guys cracking the tour and then they gave us a lift back into city that was nice yeah once it was that was uh that was a great trip that was a great trip that was a great trip let's get over there for a game yeah well where does call is we go to an 1860 game when they're at home versus bayern munich right yeah okay perfect so after that story boy munich against chelsea trina looked for munich what are you going for heroes i think two nil more munich i'll go three no yeah okay then barcelona taking on napoli one all ross is messi is like because it's the serious problems going on barcelona right now i know like if you look at messi stats he's still doing brilliantly as much as people are saying that he's not really but like he set the standard so high it's crazy yeah he really has he's i think he's 25 goals and 22 assists or something this season in around those stats anyway only yeah only but at the end of the day barcelona have sort of let themselves slit the last few games that they probably should never have lost and they almost handed the league over to them this year it's quite rare that barcelona don't win the league to be honest um that's sort of like their bread and butter it's like will you win the league then do better than the champs league yeah it's also isn't it sorry for its open buzz and also crazy how like uh like when we support it well when we sporting you know you'd win the league so much you just take it for granted and then absolutely you have one we haven't won it in so long that you're like desperate for it i think it's i think it's seven years since this week like the eighth year next year doesn't matter how you can just take things for granted and then once they're gone you're like oh my god like that was you should never think to take things for granted like when you're living in the moment it's just a norm so you just take it for granted but messi is desperate to win the champions league game ross oh he definitely is and that barcelona team is definitely capable of doing it uh suarez's back from injury which is a mass boost for them takes a lot of pressure off uh messi on the gold front as well and that young man answered fatty i don't know if you've seen him he looks very very good obviously like they're midfielders they're absolutely close they have rocket hitches gets they have um frankie deyoung you know i mean like world-class players obviously at the back they still have pk and samado on the wing on on a right back on titty etc uh alba left back tur sagan could be the best goalkeeper in the world you make an argument from there i mean the barcelona team is absolutely incredible i didn't even mention uh dembele or griezmann who won their day you can still put in a shift in you know perform so and those two those two players are probably looking for transfers out of barcelona as well so it wouldn't be a bad idea to put yourself in the shop window and say come get me yeah so i i really just have to find that barcelona team and again napoli i don't know if three spartans gonna play in in this his contract's up i don't know if he's available uh hervin lozano didn't really like spring on from there they didn't challenge for the for the league at all this year i just sort of fancy barcelona to get the job done here yeah also with the way lockdown went i think it favors the spanish teams over the italian teams i'll go barcelona to nil will be you yeah i think i agree with that i think that's a good show maybe three you won't i'll say three won't just be different yeah yeah i'm sorry but what did you say for bar munich tuna yeah okay the champions league will be back on wednesday so we'll do we'll be doing another football show in the lead up to that um something else is very busy this right now it's actually 6 40 4 33 sorry and copenhagen are taking on istanbul we're also what are you expecting from these games like just uh look i think shakhtar expect them to win because they're very good at home uh that's in the ukraine i'm sure the ukrainians don't know this place have to travel to for wolfsburg and shakhtar lee 2-1 yeah i expect him to get another one-nil victory here and then in the other game all you expect to draw between copenhagen and istanbul i think that istanbul team won the church league this year uh they have a few players but i think them bothered that wasn't he i remember we looked at the team the last day and we were like i know three or four there are players therefore they will win yeah so i'm going for istanbul yeah i'm going to agree i'm going to go check there to go through and istanbul to go through uh then at eight o'clock in order to take a lot of taking on lask and inter milan and taking on katafe and united going to this game five nil up and into milan are just playing guitar straight off yeah i expect manchester united to win again uh they are at home their youngsters will be out but at the end of the day it's for these players who are playing tonight to try and get into the team for next week's fixtures and then in terms of inter getafe interesting to be on very hot form at the moment all their premier league rejects seem to be doing the absolute business for them so i'm going to pick inter milan to be catapulted as well to one yeah i'm going to go united twin and into two in uh then thursday uh paul 55 boyle leverkusen are taking on rangers and laboratories and leaders draw uh 3-1 i expect leverkusen to win again i think just the standard german football is just far better than the standards of scottish football celtic not lose like eight nil or something to psg there recently yeah i don't know i think so i'm not too sure i don't really uh follow the scholarship to be honest ross i think this is a friendly note but i think psg like actually hammered itself it fair reads me so that's sort of my my top basis there uh the other game is a single leg fixture sevilla versus roma yeah uh they're tied around it is the hardest one to call i'm gonna go for roma on this occasion so we are like the king of europa leagues well that team seems to be foreign at the moment for roma so i'm going to go for them these they seem to be having a bit of success with headlines towards the syria i'm going to go for sevilla and that one ross just because they're at home and then at eight o'clock there's two games as well basel there's no one at home that game that came in german the single legs are played in germany oh that's definitely happening yeah yeah okay i'm gonna go with sevilla uh then basil are playing in frankfurt basil leader like three nil and wolves play olympiakos that's one all puzzled basil versus frying for first ross uh to be honest frankfurt were never going to be good after this so the overture and holler uh if you think about that stroke first last year like trying for a workforce to be reckoned with but they don't have anyone scored the goals hence their three nailed down so i don't think they'll turn that around whether they lose or not i'm not too sure but i'm just going to say basil anyway they're at home yes and in terms of wolves versus olympiakos olympiakos knocked out arsenal people probably forget that and there there'd be a tough side to play against sport if you fancy wolves maybe win 2-1 and there's a damage rory hymness and nato and jodha seem to be firing on all cylinders at the moment i've got walls as well um so russ wrap things up champions league who do you think is going to win it right and then who's your dark horse is the winner who i think is going to win it oy favor bar munich between the champions league and dark horses well i think so from the other side of the draw i sort of say atletico madrid but i don't think they're really a dark horse if i have to pick a dark horse well it's hard it's hard to really call a dark horse in the champions league because like everyone's so good yeah if i had to say dark horse i would say maybe leon okay i'm gonna go to win it psg and then dark horse i think in the dark horse you know you really have leipzig napoli uh atlanta or leon like they're the only four teams you consider darkhorse anyone else who wins it's like one of the best teams in the world well technically chelsea because of trinomials oh chelty as well okay so okay all right i'm just gonna go psg doing it i'm bored after you said they were gonna lose like three or four nil dark horse real madrid because they're losing two one yeah yeah so you're sticking you're going to a barn to win it and i'm going with psg and then ross europe league who do you think is going to win it and who's your dark horse who do i think it's going to win i i actually fancy into milan to win the whole thing this year and to be honest i think they're riding a bit of hot streak at the moment and my dark horse to win the europa league this year i would say i don't know if you can say it for are leverkus in the dark horse well they're winning three one against ranges well the mormonts for the rest okay well then i say wolves then that that's what i was going to ask because wolves are working our course to win it as well yeah yeah well they played great football and they could beat anyone on their day so oh i was going to say them it's hard to really know who's a dark horse in this tournament as well because they're all sort of you know there's about five or six teams slightly higher sound and then the rest of them all sort of go a bit lower standard uh yeah i'm gonna go winners manu i just think it's going to be in the you know they're almost you know are almost guaranteed to get to the semifinal so but that's the whole thing you put your foot out there and uh and here's your dark horse wolves wolves that's where the dark horse question came from because i'm a big fan of this way to play football it's beautiful and it's very very it suits europe so good so that's why they at the moment they're not even qualified for europe next year and they're so they're so unoffensive as well as in like i think everyone just likes them no one's like so cold yeah and especially like having matari right back it's it's cool to see an irish player flying the flag in europe absolutely but uh russ that sort of wraps up the show i think so yeah we're going to be back next week again to look ahead to again the next
