good thank you so much yep saying that you're you're uh rubbing that um prospect of the year in lou croyd's face so i had to have to give you the shadow on it you know yeah before we get into things before we get into the voice coming up like adam you have to say on camera now what nickname are you going to go for and then like matt you can you can you can try them in on this as well i can't pick a nickname kind of like you've got to let the people decide on you if i go calling myself adam the the crusher calling or something isn't it i've got to let the people decide but what would you go for would you go for the floyd or the lumberjack i would go for a lumberjack there i think and then just walk out with it with an axe i think i think my opponent walks out with chainsaw sometimes when he's uh when he's fighting in france i don't think he'll be bringing his chainsaw with him um over to cold chest but uh cullen could do his uh his arcs couldn't he imagine the easy charge on bringing a lumberjack over to him in your baggage with i think you're better off trying to read one when you got here no possibly okay bring it on the train well guys we are here [Laughter] we are here to promote cage warriors 137 on the 27th of may in colchester the two lads here matt and adam are fighting on the friday night there is also a saturday night event as well but it will be live on uc foy pass russ take it away bud guys oh i am really really excited for this one when cage warriors do does the double header everyone takes notice and matt we'll start with yourself um this one you're fighting at 77 kilos how do you feel about uh fighting that this way and are you finally making your way and i'm making that move to the welterweight division permanent well this is actually a 80 kilo this fight because it was that short yeah short notice it's ended up being a catchweight bow um i was kind of initially told by cage where you've got to pick one it's like a welterweight or middleweight because it was actually short notice i said okay sound we'll just do middleweight them and then they came back and said okay but we want you to fight catch weight sorry i know that's indeed for you but um so this is 80 kilo um i wanted to fight 77 for the hugo pierre fight but because he came on two days notice that ended up being eight kilo uh for his sake more than more than mine but i i would i definitely want to drop down to welterweight um that's the whole that was it was supposed to be well late for these last two fights but it's just ended up in a kind of in this this catchweight situation at the moment yeah exactly um it's a very interesting vision uh welterweight at the moment obviously have burlington mckee and then obviously a win here for yourself put you in prime position in total contention as well as well as big fig black as well so it is looking very tasty there adam you have a an opponent to announce um for this colchester cars you want to let us know who you're fighting i'm wrong please want to do it don't be dead you make a channel pronounce their names here uh you're pointing them on out care care fellow or something is famous five and two from paris i think same gym with the damn buzz opponents from and yeah i'm i'm just happy to get an opponent at the end of the day tomorrow and it's always um same situation for the past four fights now of you know opponents in and out and i'm not going to get one and sign a contract for one person then he pulls out so i'm just happy to get a name on the end on the sheet and you know i mean getting there and smashing the bits adam do you think that's partially our fault that we announced you as energized prospect of the year and now you know the opponents are are uh showing away from fighting you that's it they're all terrified now they don't want to end up with another or the victim of the prospect duty was away that's why i've got to go to deep into deep into france and find all these kids for me to be so absolutely it's um it's next-gen versus the world by the looks of things on this colchester card so we're definitely excited to see it and before we get before we get into that more as well adam you came out one of the best call outs i've seen on cage warriors uh when the french flag was thrown in by paddy pimler and then you called out bahash like did it never come from that caller because like that guy everyone pumped for that fight yeah well um i originally thought i was going to get to fight him on belfast and told couldn't fight on belfast because it was a it was full without irish slides which is fair enough and so then i asked for him again when he announced colchester i said go and see if he wants to fight me i think it was like five or six weeks time he said no apparently he was in ramadan or something like that but then he's asking for me and like um he's he's on the internet going he's been asking the cage while he's for me in london and all that he's saying i'm scared that he's asking for me in london he's asking for a 15-week train and come to fight me the big bag so yeah i was after the caught the hey but by the way paddy's throw with that flag it was absolutely spot on i thought we were going to that up you know in the moment when i gave him it i was like you know throw this to me i was thinking i'll just catch you just catch it live and it was pinpoint but yeah hopefully he man's off with him at some point whether it's on that london card or another card coming up you can get it because i'm going to actually smash it out on this but it was like a shades of tom brady to rob gronkowski wasn't it i was thinking paddy must be good he puts him in uh egg in a few houses when he was hungry you know i mean that was like same point it worked well like a padres game as well it's a little scary party that absolutely absolutely uh ma i want to tweet on your opponent you're fighting uh joel kusha uh i'm gonna be even more annoyed to be that i said your opponent's name who you didn't have to uh your opponent is going to be probably quite deceiving to a lot of people in the fact that uh he's got a 7-8 record but he's on a six-foot win streak so he he seems to have really got a clicking for himself are you um aware of how dangerous this guy is and do you feel like people might look at his record and underestimate them yeah i think i think that's possibly the case um that was the when i got the message of paul remember saying look at this fella this is who they want you to fight that was what stuck out initially was the record and then it's it's it's quite strange the record in terms of the progression of it he lost his first four fights and he won one and he lost his next four and then he's got on this uh like six fight win streak knocking out all these kids in the first round so you have to be half decent to have a you know a six fight win streak um and the kid he's got powering ball fans it's a bit of a shame because there's not too much too many like full fights on youtube it's more highlight videos so you don't really get the idea of what his takedown defense is like or what his boxing defense is like generally not many people watch a highlight video if takedown defense the highlight video was of the big knockouts and he's got a fair few of them so i'm certainly not underestimating him um he's very dangerous powering bowl fans and let's see what he's got when he when he steps in against me i just don't think he's fought anywhere close to the level that i am even the guys he's knocked out um some of them are absolutely horrendous so we'll see we'll see if he's the real deal when he steps in yeah yeah absolutely i think i think it's one where this guy obviously like said it's not easy to put a six-foot win streak together anywhere so i'm very intrigued to see where this car is at and also matt your last fight ended up being a bit of a barn burner are you going to try and fight as slightly smarter this time though and then not make it such a brawl or um what way do you envision this one going uh again it's when i stepped in with hugo i remember kind of walking well making the way down to the cage and he'd already had his back to me he already looked like he was defeated to be fair so i think that spurred me on to to go in there and be super aggressive i don't think he was it went like a messy aggression i think it was more like a controlled aggression in that fight um but we'll see i mean this this this kid certainly got a little bit more power than hugo like you said he's got the knockouts on the record i tend to go in there with with a rough game plan and then we'll just adjust as we go in there and obviously that makes sense with not really knowing what he brings to the table as well so i'm quite flexible in the game plan this time and you know we'll we'll see what he brings and if we need to adjust after the first of the second round we'll we're more than capable of doing that uh i'm very confident my standoff now really confident in the ground game not to come on leaps and bounds you know i've got my purple belt recently myself i'm not too worried what this kid brings it's just a case of me being on my uh my game when i want to when the fight's on yeah a lot last time against prayer when you had them up against the cage and you were you're unloading those punches on them i was like i was like this the map on her that that we we know and love so uh hopefully we see more of that adam uh you know you were known for your submissions and then last time i you let the hands go and what can we expect this time out more of the same throwing me and i don't even i don't even know what i'm gonna do in the fight i'll just see what happens when i get in his face on a weigh-in day and i'll probably decide from there what i'm gonna do but uh yeah i'm just confident and everywhere there's no meaning people are thinking that people imagine we're just like grapplers or whatever but we can do everything you know i mean i don't really even even know what to say like this this lad's like a bit awkward like he's having to look at his records and for four of his five wins up by guillotine choke it's like it's a bit of a weird thing to get good that isn't it like a choke from like a losing position so don't know if you're going to pull guards on me or something like that you could you don't you don't know got to expect everything i've been doing these fights with these these lads who am you come from nowhere basically so i'm just going to get in this face and just put it on them and put him away early we can't wait to watch lads uh can you tell us as well what's the atmosphere like in the game like like for people tuning in or want to wear one team next-gen and like it's obviously the home of paddy pimler i'm molly mccann like what's the sort of bulls in the gym now in because ufc london's now announced all the cage warriors events are on for um colchester belfast and london like what's the gym vibe like right now in the build up to cage warriors 137 in colchester jim's bouncing at the moment to be fair um you've just like suggested then we've had top fights in ufc paddy and molly was done us bundles proud there and then um the cage rose after that in in manchester we had some fantastic results there i think we we lost one unfortunately but it was like another five wins and they were all like top stoppages as well yeah so jim's bouncing uh we kind of feed off the ufc buzz and and hopefully that'll that'll do as well into our fight there's a lot of momentum at the moment and that's important for a gym um there's always a good vibe in next year anyway and i think we we're experienced enough to understand that you know gyms have ups and downs bought next gen certainly on the open hopefully that's uh saying the sparrows on for colchester i don't know about yourself yeah that's your bouncing at the middle we've got a loads of them of new lags coming in we're constantly getting life trips and droughts of new training partners coming over and coming to the trump spa and joining the team and all that so the match is getting busier and busier in the morning it's getting to the point where we're gonna need two pro sessions because it's just you know top lads as well don't mean coming in all the time so it's getting hard getting getting the toilet in the morning getting in there really so you can get you know before you get your gloves on like foreign we're flying at the minute and people are recognizing that so they're coming from all over the world and the country to come and train with us so if that doesn't make it better i don't know what will ross that's good here isn't it yeah absolutely um mac do you feel that with the showing on the gym right now it's your greatest opportunity to put that string wins together to then get that call from the ufc 100 percent and paul has had conversations with me about this he's had conversations with the whole gym about it in terms of again because paddy and molly have done such a good job over there the ufc are looking the way paul rimba described it was when conor mcgregor was doing so well there was a massive buzz with the irish and we're trying to snatch all these irish guys open or maybe maybe this is the time for you know the liverpool or the north of england this is this is our time um say to jump in uh after this fight i'm planning on staying in shape and getting ready just in case you know there's a pull out in ufc london i can maybe jump in there but yeah i think you're right what you're saying in terms of we've certainly got this this momentum with us at the moment and again paddy and molly are big you know big charismatic big personalities and we can we can feed on that they've kind of paved the way for us really to like you've got you've just like you just mentioned to stepping shot now it's all to get sound by the ufc yeah and i think uh you'd be the first ever uh ufc fighter from warrington and uh we we need to get warrington's points in there come on the world yeah that's safe to say i think i might be the first ambitious fighter at warrenton to be fair so it's just it's breaking the borders all the time yeah do you have to do a warrington fight kit little like sausage roll on the air we'll talk to ufc and see if you can get an exemption to get a sponsorship from greg's or something either oh yeah i absolutely love it um guys obviously um did we just touch them there uh molly and patty are in san diego i think still at the moment i think they're returning any day now when they're in the gym how much more of a pause do they bring to the to the building that's just non-stop just like shouting dancing arguing with entry it's just a it's a wild place to be some mornings you come in you're tired and molly's there going last but this happened that happened to you just like well i'll throw you off you know what i mean yeah they're definitely wild a wild bunch and they end up bouncing off each other so i think it definitely raises the energy in the gym um just from them to being in this because it's it's hard not to because if you don't jump in with them and you're going to end up getting your bounce off the floor in there when molly's flying off of 14 knuckles that morning or 14 cups of coffee [Music] we've already spoke to both them quite a few times but like being in their presence you know i mean like they're they're that big personalities and guys we're going to wrap things up shortly but um i want to know my how do you foresee this one finishing come fight night i think it'll gas out in a second i think it's going to be too much for him i don't think he's again experiencing on my level i think it will either be a tko again i can see this this james webb finish you know coming again or the hugo pierra finish coming uh it'll be like a really naked choke without any hooks in just because or it'll be it'd be like a bt kills finish i think yeah i think the the tko against uh tko tko up against the fence is the map honor special yeah definitely is yeah and what about yourself adam how do you see yourself getting the job done in at cage warriors 137 colchester uh any way i want to really when i want to get in there i reckon i'm just going to go in heavy and just smash his head and and then that'll be it really i think it'll be all me i'll just want to be dominant he'll be jumping for guillotines or whatever he does i'm just going to absolutely break his face and then afterwards hopefully i'll get put in the french mma rankings probably at the number one spot um feeds me all these french flags i might as well be in there might not yeah you've been doing your duolingo as i'll have just to make sure that your friends is on point oh yeah i'm i'm i'm fluent now let's say google translate and then just just before we go um also shout out to lee malloy who is on the card uh is there any other next gen guys on the cards across the two notes we've got liam gettings and we've got um i don't know will curry's on i don't know if will curry's officially a next-gen fighter he's on the saturday i guess he is um he's been cornered by ben and luke riley so um yeah wilker is on the saturday as well and before we wrap things up we want
