you doing B The Lads how are you Lads I'm very good I'm very good great to see you bu great to see you great to see you H we ring onum for uh Akuma there at the weekend so we weren't too far from your neck of the woods um tell tell us this Patty H the first question I want to ask you is that new t-shirt you dropped there recently was absolutely fresh it's one of the sickest F t-shirts I've ever seen who designed that for you and uh where can people get it yeah I'll have to get some for you that's uh shie conin actually designed it for me it's you know uh Mick Conan his brother yeah he does like all their artwork and stuff for their posters and uh I think he designs mix uh fight kits as well but he threw the T-shirt um they gather for me and they ended up looking sick and come here you didn't get inv voed to Jamie conin stag over I at the moment no no I'm banned from a bro you're still banned still bz I love it but uh P obviously uh The Ultimate Fighter wrapped up uh they had the finals there on at the weekend and tell us this what did you make of the experience H did you enjoy it what was the sort of the best part about being over there and what was the worst part about being over there uh yeah I love the experience it was absolutely amazing um it was just the perfect life like we were able to eat anything that we could eat train twice a day lots of sunshine it was just th the I life like it it was the dream for six weeks but the the hardest part was definitely coming back and trying to adjust the reality after it was like a real shock to the system um coming back because like I was doing I was in such a good routine over there and was doing so much good things and then I was like I'm going to carry these on when I come back but then once you come back life just [ __ ] gets a holy and it's difficult to carry on with that routine when you have uh you know like so many distractions with [ __ ] everyday life and then when when I came back everyone's all buzzing about the show but obviously I knew I got beat so I'm not like you're not [ __ ] too ecstatic about it but people are only finding out that you're going on the show you know like after you have already been there and done it all so it was a [ __ ] crazy few weeks I was or few months even I was talking to all the lads who were on the show as well and they were saying the same thing just how strange it was but definitely the hardest thing was coming back and trying to adjust the reality But like after when it was going in I thought the new phone would have been the hardest thing but that was definitely the best thing not having a phone just to having real [ __ ] conversations uh all day every day with the people who R in the house and obviously we're all legm minded [ __ ] individuals we're all chasing the same dream and we can all relate the each other so we're able to have good conversations and learn a lot from each other every day but on a daily basis over there was nothing bad about it at all it was absolutely amazing it was just uh after like Christ a bit yeah py uh like in like obviously cage Warriors had announced a lot of shows are coming up and myself and Ross were constantly upload uh like refreshing your tapology to be like when's patty coming back um how did this how did how did the how did you actually get the opportunity because like for for everyone tuning in they already know like you're you're on the Roy becoming one of cage warriors's biggest stars yeah well thanks very much for that bro appreciate that but um and it was actually [ __ ] someone on Twitter someone on Twitter tweeted me while I was away with SMY in Baran in December and someone tweeted me would you not think about going on tough It's the father WS in the middle weights this year I was like [ __ ] never knew that so I sented to a manager who's gr my manager's gr Band After the Samir cot fight I signed with gr Bing and uh so I sent it to him and he sent me the forms back and said go and fill these in and let me know when you filled them them in so I sent them back and then there was like a lot of like an interview process they go and watch your face they interview you go and do whatever else interview again there's a couple of stages and a b of [ __ ] about but you don't actually know you're definitely going until like two days before you go and then like I actually never thought I was going to go to beer like they were telling me that everything's looking well and uh they were tell me everything's looking well but as long as you pass this please check did they look up the news bro I didn't a [ __ ] so I didn't think I aome they were like oh it's looking brilliant you're [ __ ] definitely goingon to go in here as long as you pass this police check and I was like [ __ ] cuz they had like a law firm you know like going on all our social medias to make sure there was nothing offensive and they were saying this law firm's going to check your check the police check on you too and I obviously have no charges here but it was on holiday being a silly boy before and uh I thought it was going to come back to bait me to be honest so there were tell like the week before they were like oh go in video your family and video a leave in video and ask your family and friends how they feel about you going to Vegas but I couldn't do it because in the back of my head I was thinking I'm going to [ __ ] say to my mates and my family here how do you feel about me going and then this police check you want to come back and I'm going to be looking like a dick you know what I mean you could have just told your friends and family You' missed them too much yes why I couldn't do [ __ ] any of it there were on the Ikea like can you go and get these videos and all so literally the [ __ ] the day before I flew out I was just running about on my phone just recording [ __ ] people St random in the you're miss me they G me a big list of [ __ ] I had to record and I was like this is my [ __ ] worst name here like you like record your friends and all and ask them what the feel like if I ask my M these questions on a camera that SL the [ __ ] out me yeah I I didn't think it was going to go till a couple of days before or it could have probably been a bit more locked in like I was training hard as [ __ ] I was doing my hard rounds from Christmas I was sparing hard and training like it was having the F but there was a part of me that was like this isn't going to happen it's [ __ ] weird as [ __ ] like there was this one time it like a week before the fight like a week before I was supposed to go sorry week before I supposed to leave and I was up running on a mountain that sounds mad as [ __ ] but I was up running on the mountain and uh my m had his headphones in and I never had any headphones and uh I was like running it was night time it was a nice night and I was just praying on this m like I was like I'm [ __ ] like I'm my Main's scrambled here I don't know whether I'm like being locked in to go away here or don't know whether I'm coming or going basically and I was like [ __ ] just on the mountain praying a bit just like talking to God a bit just praying and I was like if you can give me a saying like just one small saying that can just like lock me in for this and that uh I was going down and I started singing this song to my meet and I was shouting at him and I was singing just laughing and he took his headphones off and was like what and I I sang the song to him and I was like I'm just singing and started singing to him and he goes you're a mad [ __ ] and he he put the headphones back on and we ran on down the mountain and got into the car turned the car on and the [ __ ] song is blurring on the radio the exact same song I was singing him the whole way down and what song was it I can't even remember I can't even remember what song it was man but uh I'll need to ask him and he goes he like turned me and I was like no [ __ ] way and I goes you know I was praying up her for saying that I'm going here I's like I'm one million percent getting picked for us definitely Don't Stop Believing by Journey it was there but I was like [ __ ] me that's M alsoo from from that song came on I was like I'm definitely gonna go here aren they so I was like a week before I was like 100% I was going to go but up until then I was like I was like I'm definely this is going to bounce this police track's going to come back to bait me and like just behind the scenes where you're sort of trying to plan your next move of cage Wares as well or you just totally just focused on The Ultimate Fighter nah no there was no other plans in terms of like other fights or anything it was first all the ulate fader to be fair okay well that's pretty crazy isn't it Russ yeah absolutely [ __ ] wish remember a song My M that's gone blank I wish I could remember what song this was cuz it was actually telling them over and top about this and I could remember the song but my man's blank now yeah yeah but yeah maybe do that but like also the the whole point of the story is it's not actually what the song was it was just that it was the same song being played in the radio so yeah like literally it's not even as if we drove home and it came on at one point as soon as we got into the car and I turned the engine on like what the [ __ ] the odds of the that radio channel at that exact time being the song I sang from the top of our Mo to the bottom like you know what I mean it was too coincidental yeah insane like obviously obviously uh when they say it's meant to be it's meant to be and obviously was meant to be for Patty mcari to be in that tough house and um there you were obviously Patty there was a few uh other notable names from the European scene like uh bakar Aman Shaban and Nathan Fletcher um how familiar were you with those guys beforehand and was that a blessing to have those guys there do that make the the time you spent there easier or it make it harder uh I don't know if it made it easier or harder like I don't think made it harder I I trained with amran I was down in team KF before and trained with amran and Nathan came over to AR and trained for a while so it was good to have uh familiar faces but I probably talked to myON and uh Robert and Tommy more than I spoke to Nathan and Aman you know what I mean cuz they were upstairs there was like two floors in it they were upstairs we were s so in between the training sessions we were all just basically leing about chilling so we were just really talking to the people who were in your room it was definitely most ha with myON and Robert and uh Tommy we were just F the whole time like is that the tough version of up the road down the road is it I was good to have Nathan in my corner to be fair it was good to just have like a familiar face because because I was fighting someone from my own team there was a team Grasso changing room team sh shanko changing room and then just PTY MCC changing room it's just me and na up our chilling in the Apex with our own chain room so it was good like we were just [ __ ] having the buzz of it all good crack yeah he look fresh with the with the with the Patty cap at the Ireland flag as I did P paty when you were going in to the house like just beforehand who did you sort of get a voice from and like what's like what sort of voice did you get going into the house um just like just my team just like how I would speak them about going in there and he F like they were just telling me to be myself and just show no no respect to anyone who was fighting um but I didn't i' never spoke to anyone who had experienced anything like it before so I don't think anyone knew what was ahead of me um so it was just like the basic advice that they would have given me before any fight really it wasn't like any particular advice for uh The Ultimate Fighter you know hopefully hopefully else from the team will go there in the years after and I'll be able to tell them in some ADV advice because there's definitely a right way not a right way and a wrong way to do it but there's definitely things you can do to make it easier for yourself for example Robert and Khan they went in and they had a nutritionist deliver their meals to the house and they had that sorted before and then when you went in it was too late to sort it when you were in so they had a nutritionist who was like sorting their meals coming to the house and then obviously their nutritionist was have to know how long they were in the competition for you know what I mean yeah so they would group and then they would go in on the first day and Robert was demanding that he wanted to fight in the first day because he had already started his cut I was like why and then you realize that if you fade on the second day you fade twice in nine days but if you fade on the first day you fade on the first week and like the third week or fourth week so you have like way more of a gap in between your weight cuts and your Fates to recover so things like that if if if I was given someone advice going into the house after after I've been in it I would say win and fight on the first day and have a nutritionist to do your meals and your weight Cuts you know yeah you're almost best off you're almost best off going in and being the most hater person straight away so everyone wants to F straight away yeah well we didn't really get to pick the fights like uh I know their team didn't pick any fights at all like they were actually like what the [ __ ] why did they pick these matchups like Alexa asked us who wanted the fate and from the first day I said I wanted to fade either ran ler or Mark Hume I just thought they were best matchups for me uh so it was good that I got the fight Mark but some of their matchups that Valentina picked we were scratching our heads at it and then when we spoke to the other team after the fats had happened they were like we didn't want that match ups either like it was they were thinking there was other ones of them that would have suited uh the fates that maybe their teammates would have got um so we didn't have much say in it especially on their behalf yeah what's called watching them as well I thought H getting an insight into some of the train and like the two coaches as well I thought going into it I felt like Valentina was more the fan favor of the coaches and like people were more warm towards her and then I thought leaving the show I felt like Grasso stock went up and I felt like shenko stock maybe went slightly down and I thought that how like no water during training I thought that was just a bit of a wild thing yeah M has actually [ __ ] started doing that too wish he hadn't watch the [Laughter] show talk me about the water bricks but uh I mean I thought the same or Valentina I would have been [ __ ] melted if I was in her team to be honest because alexxa is an absolute Angel she created such a good atmosphere for us she wasn't like you're doing a she's like what they usually do in fight week how can I assist you in making this as familiar as your normal fight week as possible she wasn't never trying to get in our way she was trying to help us any way we could help us with recovery really just being there for us and she had a very good team like Diego Lopez is a [ __ ] G her wrestling coaches onreal or striking coaches the the pad man Jose never spoke a word of English and Jesus I jailed with him so well on the PS he was such a good coach but everyone just was there to help you could tell they weren't there for the [ __ ] cameras or anything they were to genuinely help and then uh valentina's coaches were just 10 m t you know what I mean so yeah they were all like kind of taking a piss in the house just shoting back fist go because they said they' be spart like shadow box and she just show back fist go and they all have to throw spin a backfist and they were doing like [ __ ] 10 Superman punches and all this [ __ ] Madness so I was very glad that I was in Grasso's team when I got an interview before I actually said I would prefer to be in Jan's team because I thought she was a strier but once I was in Grasso's team I was thinking kind my lucky stars that I got selected to be in her team yeah well look I think it worked out well for you um obviously uh we'll have a quick chat about your win you jumped the Ghillie uh got the job done obviously that's that's that's part of the team now um when you watched the fight back with uh Pat and Chand what were they saying about you jumping the Ghillie did they were they for it or were they against n they're all for it now bro they're all for it yeah all for it before pop would have [ __ ] screamed at you if he jumped onto your back for a submission but um n he's has actually been showing the the guillotine in the class you like as if it's an option I just think whenever some people go head outside single especially that if you even if you're not going to go for it threaten it just to create a scramble get back to your feet or um change the position but Pat showed me that gutin years ago and I I just knew I had it in the locker I actually went away from it see in our gym see if you get a submission you get it for about two weeks and then you never [ __ ] get it again because Pat C getting a couple people with it and then he teaches the defense and then you never get it again so you [ __ ] be moving off it but when I went to Thailand with John Mitchell well I was training with John Mitchell out there that's getting everyone's neck as guillotin people like [ __ ] getting their back choking them and it made me it gave me more belief in my chokes because in the gym you don't get a [ __ ] sniff of keltin on anyone because pot pot skeletons like I don't know if youve heard about them before but pot skeletons are he's famous like if he gets a hold of your chin you're getting [ __ ] choked like his Guillotines are unbelievable so everyone can smell them and M away if you're trying to work towards a guillotine and arim they'll even give you their neck just to create a scramble because they're so well at defend them because a p so I wouldn't have really thought that it was something that I would go for but in Thailand like there was a lot of rians and stuff over there trying to heavy wrestle me and I was just grabbing their neck and Ching them so I was like [ __ ] I can actually get the submission so that's probably why whenever I hurt my food against some kot as just started jumping the [ __ ] Guillotines like [ __ ] because I knew how much I was getting them in Thailand when against people who were like heavy wrestlers and then uh so arur Shir K it was like whenever I was grabbing people's necks in the gym they were almost like pulling away and getting scared and I started getting The Guillotines more so n they're all going to be [ __ ] themselves when I CR their neck but uh yeah against Mark he just [ __ ] fed right into it I kind of knew that he was going to he was going to start fast he was he was being a dick in the house just trying to act like he was [ __ ] better than everyone and just wouldn't have spoke to anyone walking about reading his books and just being a snobby bastard so I knew that he was going to like come out flly and trying to [ __ ] try and submit me early so um it's just too bad he left to snack and when yeah when that episode was premiering uh did you watch with the team or or like where did you actually go and watch it I have never I haven't watched it you you didn't watch I watched the Fate see whenever I got to the house Lads I went there was some like [ __ ] some [ __ ] going on in my personal life like you know and uh it was tough couple of months so N I just I just haven't watched the episodes I don't think I'll ever watch them were making me cringe like [ __ ] but I watched the fates I've watched the two fat but I haven't watched any other parts of the episode yeah yeah well then more actually meant the the actual fight itself did did you did you sit down watch it live or did you watch it the next day or did you watch with people no no yeah I just watched it the next day uh I just why like like Fast Forward till the fights and watch the rest like some people were like some people were like s me videos of [ __ ] I was saying I was like a because like it's [ __ ] I don't want to say scripted but kind you sort of fed the questions don't you they're like yeah like mean to say are you going in here to score points or are you going to is it kill or be killed are you trying to finish him I'm like oh yeah it's kill or be killed I'm going in for the Finish like or know what I mean and then it's cut till it's kill or be killed know like it's so like Americanized yeah they also like if they don't like your answer as well like they're like willing to ask you the question again be like right answer that I mean the the [ __ ] they put stuff in my voice and stuff like the the they sent me a send me a message uh do you think it's correct to describe the troubles as a as a war between uh Protestants and anti- Catholic or anti-british Catholics I can't even say it cuz a [ __ ] tongue twister anti-british Catholics yeah so between Protestants and anti- British Catholics would you say it's fair to say that I was like no it's not [ __ ] for her to say that so I give the woman a [ __ ] lacture anyway and uh she never replied on the show it's like me talking and then the tone changes a bit but it still sounds like my voice and says anti British Catholics I'm like never in a [ __ ] million years would that come out of my mouth but they put like obviously like generated some like voice generator and put it in the middle of a sentence as if I said it yeah but you wouldn't even like that that's not even like a phrase goes oh he's a Irish Republican or something like that like that' be more imagine that like never in a million years I have never even heard anyone use that phrase it's so [ __ ] American British Catholics like imagine someone from the fs rout say tning in now and now know that like that was wasn't something you said P just another thing on the win like uh what was the sort of reaction you got online after getting that win cuz uh that that that was quite voral here in irand yeah yeah n it was good it was there was a there was a real good reaction from him because he was he's [ __ ] legit that guy Mark like even even the guys in their team were saying like [ __ ] he's yanis their team told me he was the best guy in their team like I didn't know if he was [ __ ] bluffing me because I was fighting him but even after he was saying it in front of like magov and all he was like the only person who can hold me down and submit me is Mark he's the [ __ ] best on our team blah blah blah and I know there was other people who were Hing he was going to win it I seen on Twitter when I was in the hotel a lot of people saying Mark hum's going to [ __ ] walk through that competition he was on he was on that day and wait looking for a fate in March or in like February on the same week that JW pleases fought Strickland and he like jup we [ __ ] sparm partner and uh he was on that din way looking for a fade he won the fight but he just [ __ ] cred sniff the whole time and Dana didn't sign him and then he and then he went on top so that was like his Last Chance Saloon the [ __ ] he tried just crni you and then look where he end up it's so [ __ ] funny that these CS coming in the crotch sniff now are going to be like you need to watch your neck yeah I think that's funny as [ __ ] bro CLS are going to H go guilty and and obviously the show was on a pre-record Patty did you have people like the night before like B fights like wishing the best look in the fight that i' already it was so [ __ ] weird like people are txting me they're not taxing me just stopping me in the street and they're getting so excited and wishing me good luck and all like I had I had someone like the morning after the Fate I was in the cafe and she was like are you backing all you must have got a flight right away and I was like this was [ __ ] months ago you know like uh was just ordering stuff in a cafe but people coming up like and really you know like genuinely meaning it s giving you good luck and how much they're so excited for you and I'm like did I tell lemons that this is already recorded or I was just like yes thank you very much and then you get [ __ ] hounded by people for what happened yeah no because when we were promoting that you were fighting each each night like it it was sort of weird because like we obviously knew the results so I was like p m fighting tonight even though he's up in Belfast right now lad yeah yeah yeah no 100% people were saying like you're looking know but it was such it was just so weird lad like I didn't want to [ __ ] leave the house for him a couple of months or because any time I went out people were saying to me oh like either saying good luck and it was a bit awkward or they were torturing me to find out what happened and it was a [ __ ] melt you know what I mean I also think you can get a good feel for how The Show Goes based on how much someone is promoting it if that makes sense if you knew you were in the final you'd be promoting tough every single episode one after the other because he' be like like right this guy's done it and then I was like like and then I think I found out Jesus very early on that you and Oman both got to the semi-finals and I was like I was like it was almost one of those ones where like people came up to me and just like volunteered the information to me and I was like oh I don't know whether I actually wanted to know that I or whether I want to just like be a f and watch the show and like Catch 22 like you know I mean yeah it was so weird bro it was so weird and then and then I'm like no I don't want to tell you and they're like oh so you get beat then I'm like well just you can just watch the show like can you not tell me anything like did you even win one fate you know like the conversations were just exhausting the before you know like if a fate happens like it maybe it' be like after a week and you can talk to people about the fate and it's just a buzz and all but see the Fate in there me I have never had less of a buzz after a fight in my life than them fights and tough it was depressing like because like the the semi-final for example as soon as I won that obviously you would say that's probably the biggest fate of my life in the Apex fighting some guy 12 and three number one in [ __ ] South Africa whatever can't bating dagestanis and and he's never been finished and I finished him so I was a [ __ ] good like uh father in my cap and then I [ __ ] went back to the change rooms and they're like just wait here on Dana White he's going to come and tell you who you're fighting next so it was the buzz was just killed instantly it was just like right forget about that think about who you're fighting next and then he never came till the Apex so we were like waiting there all day and then he never came and then we went home and they like come back tomorrow and he offended then you go back to the house talk to people for a half an hour and then you've already spoke to everyone who you can speak to you know what I mean you're not getting your mad cousin ringing you up [ __ ] off his nut telling you how [ __ ] L that he is know what I mean and getting a bit of cracking the bus from M like it's just it was just like a half an hour out later I was like [ __ ] me is that it like it's a bit depressing like I was like [ __ ] me you want you want to in the Apex or like on these stages your whole life your whole career and then once I got there I was like [ __ ] that's all like was it was a bit depressing the beer you want Pat to bring out the Bentley for a bit of groe and a point I've had 10 times bigger BS winning fights and the davish and winning F the F in the a packs you know that place is electric man that that place bro see before you walk out in the davish and they're like opening the door and closing it you can hear the noise serious puzz yeah and you're only talking about the pleasure boys shout out the pleasure boys shout out the pleasure boys was but uh tell us this paty where did you stand with the UFC now uh have you been given the UFC contract or where where no no I haven't been given the USC contract but I'm only four in one so I'm in I'm in no rush like I definitely I've never been more certain in my life and I'm going to be in the UFC than than right now like before I could never have look past the kids War Bel to be honest like I would have never walked around telling people I'm going to be in the UFC and if it did did I believe it I don't I don't really know you know what I mean like I wasn't I probably wouldn't have believed it but right now I know that I'm going to be in the UFC it's just a matter of time and I think that the only thing these CS have me is experience like I know that my f IQ and the skills that I have it's only a matter of time before I'm in the [ __ ] big leagues and I'm in the UFC but if go in there IR four and one may win a fate then they give you someone who's been in there a while then you're going to get out experience by him maybe go back winning or F then they're going to you know like it's like I win one lost one kind of thing if I went in there I if I was being real with myself at this like level of experience but I and I I still think that I'm showing a [ __ ] percentage of what I can actually do like my [ __ ] runs in the gym I know what me means [ __ ] all but like I'm night and day compared to what I'm doing in the cage like how much jobs I throw in the gym is just crazy as as shandle said to me and he's like he watched the F and he's like you threw more high kicks and flan knees than you threw jobs and one twos I'm like that's so true why the [ __ ] am I doing that you know what I mean so there's still things in my game that need to be massively improved before I can even think about going near the USC so I'm going to go back to cage Warriors have two three fights ideally get the belt and just like establish my stale in there and [ __ ] do what I'm doing in the gym and then go to the big leagues I don't want to be like showing a percentage of myself then assuming that uh whenever I go to the big leagues it will start clicking like it needs to [ __ ] click before it get there you know what I'm saying so I'm more than happy to go and have another two or three fights on cage Wars here if it takes two or three I could go out and completely stocks the next and then be you know what I mean it things may be different but I think realistically two or three fights get me a bit more experience just establish my stale in the cage show more of a percentage of what I'm capable of than I'm been shown previously and then go to the UFC but I'm sure that I'm sure that I'm on their radar I you know what I mean I went I went and fought the two most experienced guys in the house all these conss are being pro that guy marked being pro from 2011 Robert's been Pro from 2016 I've been Pro from 2021 you know what I mean like it's I [ __ ] I've only been doing this sport all together eight years so I I know I still need to [ __ ] serve my time and get a bit more experience for him ready for them big leagues so an our two three fats and then I'll be ready to take that step up I think I'm fighting in in November here in on cage world yeah well I think uh people will be absolutely buing to see next out Patty and like your talent is definitely undeniable I think uh everyone took notice uh um probably probably one of the most famous fight you've had probably uh the loss against Webb the way you turn on on the third round and you nearly beat him considering how well respected he is and then like since then like I'm not surprised you're throwing head kicks and flying knees all the time because they're Landing um so like between that and the adrenaline of being in there H it's something else but like put it this way um if you went in there against bandi tomorrow like I'd be picking Pat MCC H that's just the that's just the way it is yeah I genuinely believe that I beat him tomorrow like I genuinely do believe that I beat him and I do think it's just my [ __ ] I'm just meant to win that cage War Bel like from they that from them Bonners were put on the wall in fate Academy and like I need that I need my Bonner on that wall I need to be a world champion so great the wa yeah I think it would suit me bro I think it would suit me yeah py would you prefer cage Warrior 180 London or cage Warriors 181 Newcastle why are wh which uh 18 what the uh 181 is the 23rd of November yeah I think I think it's that one okay there's going to be a couple there's going to be a couple of arish on that one think that's but I would F Newcastle I I actually wanted to fight in October but there's so much fights happening with the gym in October and so much [ __ ] going on so November it is for me yeah November 15th is cage Warriors London yeah yeah and the 23rd is 181 Newcastle I don't know what like a bit of History happened at the weekend there at Akuma where uh I put the belt on Dominic roads there um so just wondering like when you in the cage Warrior belt would you rather like I put it on you or gr boil oh you bro you have to put on there be my request put the glasses on and then you put the belt on yes how just before we wrap things up but um like you mentioned a couple of times that like things sort of behind the scenes aren't gone that great like like I'm not trying to get like information on that I just want to know like is everything actually all right now and like um like are like are you back training now as well yeah I never stopped training bro I never stopped training ever like I I'm always in the gym but like I probably wasn't mentally a to be fair just went it was just [ __ ] m i just Crist to be honest like I cannot explain this feeling whenever I got home I just could not get off the sofa I made sure I dragged myself and went to the gym but maybe maybe going to the gym four nights a week instead of every single day and it was just it was just [ __ ] hard like to be honest I was like I just couldn't get off the sofa I was like down in the dump so flat obviously like I wasn't going over to [ __ ] win a fight and tough and be delayed with myself I genuinely thought I was going to beat everyone like I I was 100 like whenever I went over and the whole hell I was like I'm going to beat all these cons like I was so [ __ ] certain that it was my time I was like H so it was like that was heart broke like you know what I mean I was heart broke and then I'm coming back and people are all buzzing and they're telling me well done for getting on it and obviously there's like it's not their fault they're genuinely happy for me but I'm [ __ ] depressed because it just lost a fate it's like if you if if you lose a fate people know you've lost a fate and they like kind of know what way to be around you and it's like everyone's on the same boat and they're kind of riding the wave with you those who care about you but with that it was like everyone was buzzing and happy about that I got this opportunity and I'm like I [ __ ] it I [ __ ] the opportunity so I'm like I'm being I felt like I was being a fake hunt by even smiling and being happy about the opportunity cuz I knew a [ __ ] it so I was like [ __ ] depressed and then or was like [ __ ] happened like I went [ __ ] through a breakup whenever I got home whenever I got got back and I was like I'm on the [ __ ] I'm on this show [ __ ] pour my heart out about this relationship you know like f dick and then I come home and it smoked and I'm like [ __ ] me I'm a dick so I was like it just such an awkward [ __ ] thing I I was like I jumped on the producers and was like yo scrap all that can laugh about it n like I was like scrap all that uh they were like sweet but they still put it all on obviously yeah they like it's too late bro it's too late it's too late yeah so I came back I was [ __ ] depressed about the loss everyone was up and happy for me and I was like I didn't know whether I was coming or going I felt like it was being [ __ ] fake even acting like it was delayed about the show and then then judging everyone asked me about what happened and ah it was just too much it once me it was like a [ __ ] it was just too much it was like [ __ ] leaving the house here like so it was just it was a tough time but I'm through it now at the other end of it and I'm [ __ ] locked in and focused on this next fade ready to make a statement I'm more sure of where I'm going than I've ever been and I just do think that this is just going to be like a [ __ ] different version of me here whenever I'm back in the kids py that's brilliant here and you're also probably flat out on Tinder so we won't keep you here much longer no Tinder no Tinder no women no we all joke so Pat I think the way you almost have your your path planned out that you're going to do a few more C rers and then back into the uh UFC territory I think like that's brilliant to hear and I think you know it sounds like you're very aware of where you're at and where you're going and where you need to be and I think like it's definitely you know obviously you didn't get the didn't win the old fire but I think it gave you a great idea to know where you're at where you need to be and to know that like you're more than competitive with those guys yeah and your stock has risen as well yeah definitely definitely exactly you we're we're on the we're on the right path and we'll get there and all these struggles that uh all these struggles that have happened along the way I know one day that I'll be thankful for them I'm grateful that the happened because they'll have prepared me for when [ __ ] does take off on them where I know it should be you know yeah R make sure you whisper that in Patty's ear when uh you put the belt around them it was destiny well here PTY it was it was brilliant to speak to you I'm sure everyone else that tuned in like absolutely enjoyed this is there anything else like look at Nathan Fletcher now H obviously I reach out to him haven't heard back from but don't know what was up with him uh obviously there was a medical issue before his fight the last time but like we've had Luke Roy on the show he's going on Dana White Contender series uh Lonnie kov we've had on the show Jordan venic you know you know Paul from earlier omran I mean all these guys who we've had on the show have made that jump from cage Warriors to uh UFC or tough or whichever you know what I mean like he he was one of the ones when we first saw him out like we were really really highing him and also I feel like we're close enough for a lot of the gyms that when we ask like oh who should be looking out for like a lot of the time they were saying like oh patty mcari patty mcari patty mcari and a lot of the top fighters saying PTY mcari as well yeah Joe molan as well has been singing that for years and REE mck re but uh no paty did mention he wants to be fighting a Newcastle imagine all fbii over a Newcastle that would be an absolute wild scene fi Yi that will be a well scene but for the people tuning in make sure to like And subscribe because we will have Patty on again that we have to go into um over over the weekend Ireland on and SVG Ireland world champion Dynamic kmack won on road to UFC in Las Vegas on Friday night Ross what are win for Danny mccor yeah I feel like she's constantly just knocking down that door like you know I mean like she's getting closer and closer to Dan White's office step by step uh and like again like it was a true Danny mccor performance like the first round was uh like really close um you know if you gave it to her opponent like that's fair enough but then rounds two and three she came out and uh you know I mean she actually got great uh Corner voice from John kav and she worked in her takedown much better from the second round onwards and look Danny McCormack is someone who is as her Jim would say Relentless um and I can't wait to see her uh fight in the Octagon she's ready she also she also CS an unbelievably good promo post fight as well I think that people uh are maybe understanding that that uh that's don't but she she is taking whatever box she needs to take she's taken the Hard Road she's taking the long road and she's on the road to the UFC only on UFC 5 she she is definitely she's a woman on a mission she's actually not going to be stopped um then uh also shout out to Tian lockran for getting the KO in the second round at lfl on Sunday Ross KO and V yeah did that big big head kick with the with the RO for uh unbelievable H the stallion is making his own name for himself he won't be K Lo ran younger brother for much longer he'll be his uh his own nty uh great to have uh see tum pickup win great to see him fighting in under lfl H I think they put on a great show I like the production of their show uh I think they look after the fighter as well I think it's a show that I'd like to see more oish Fighters fighting on and uh also shout out to James Hughes who got a win on new Talent lfl which is sort of their amateur show that they do the day before quite frequently so uh they're also looking for the next wave of talent and James us is definitely want to keep an eye on as well yeah and Rumor Has It The Lads been they went missing and the red light district and haven't been found since so if you do know their whereabout H leave it in the comments please um Ross last week we went to Akuma Fighting Championship in antrum uh in the buildup to the event we did two phase offs which uh the people really enjoyed and we went and covered the event in antrum Saturday night um I think we should discuss that a bit and um how good of event it actually was and by the way some drive two hours up two hours back I think I left my house at like 2:30 p.m. and got home at 2:30 a.m. I think I should have drove faster well that's cuz you had to pick me up on the way um but yeah look we we're working forward akum at the night we were covering their social media channels uh doing some post fight interviews um recording some uh you know the live winner reactions there on the night I think uh look I thought it was a stellar show from start to finish um I thought it was really really well run I thought uh perfect timings I would say in between fights as well like it was never too long in between fights and like it also was you know they didn't have the uh the entrance music weren't so long that you were like Jesus like get in the cage and have a scrap there H I thought the show run really well really high level fights as well um probably more decisions than they wanted on the night but should that just goes to show how good the matchmaking is that uh these guys couldn't get each other out there and yeah I was a massive fan of the event itself and it was an abute honor and pleasure to work with them um I think from a media perspective I think it's very important that all shows really have a have their own media Presence at events and the same way you know I suppose you look from the UFC and cage workers down or pfl whatever where like you know you have you know who wins the fights on the night and you know you maybe you know create a big deal your title fights and your Champion like I think doing the face off between uh between uh um Fufu and Omas Oliver was great and I think uh doing the off between Jamie mcaker and Rob Barrett I think like that's great like that's sort of the promotion these fights need and especially for the title fights um the promotions need to really sort of number one sell tickets but also like the reputation of your promotion is really really important and I think it's almost underestimated at times that like the amateur fighters who are at the tail end of their career before they go pro and sometimes even the ones who are going pro they want to fight on what they perceive to be the best promotions and the best promotions in the country and uh look I think Akuma were even unfortunate obviously they lost uh two of their biggest fights uh Damen mcgan and Keem mccarten and they also lost Jordan Bradshaw versus on McDonald and the pro bout so like to put on such a good show after losing those shows uh or losing those fights I think is an absolute credit to Steve who looks after the show and ask you credit to everyone who worked on on the night and the event ran like clockwork as well so fair play to everyone I agree um I don't think you should have put the the belt around Dominic Rose for the main after winning the main event but look you think you should have and so do Steve so that's what's most important Ross don't be jealous man just because you're you you were on recording duties look I was being ring boy yeah um no but if you actually go on to um the Instagram of Akuma and um you can see Ross put the belt around Dominic roads and we want to know how good you think Ross was actually at it like Ross what would you give yourself out a writing there oh give myself like a six out of 10 like Dominic was quite excited with the win you know what I mean like he couldn't believe that I was put the belt around him so he was like like I went to put it on him and then he pulled it up so like I think that's uh I'm gonna partially blame him on that you could have played a safe and just like put it over his shoulder with the other one nah N I want to put it around the waist like that's that's that's the job like you know yeah but uh look I just I just want to piggy back a bit on what Ross said there if you are a fighter like because in some of the questions here I might as well go into the questions now for of the week so thanks mil for the people getting involved this is what I sort of want to touch on uh question from darra do Collins Oran shout out Dar thoughts on cage conflict clan wars and Premiere all having the the next show on the same date so as I was saying there all going to be on the same date Ross that's going to be in on November the 2nd so three events Three Irish MMA events on all on the same time I think if you're a fighter and you're going to be looking to get on one of them cards I think you should really look at what event is going to help you broadcast or like promote you or like give you a post voice uh like um like poster or or interview to really let the whole Irish MBA scene see if you wanton and it's even more important if if you win a title there like if you're just looking at the numbers for those amateur fights there over the weekend on Akuma like the way uh rosty the post fight interviews with like everyone all the title winners and um the way each for one they got their hand raised they got another social media post and then they also got a poster saying they won as well reiterate letting everyone know that's three forms of content that each belt winner got after her fights and like if you're an amateur that's exactly what you want so look into these events the premieres the clan wars the cage conflicts which one is going to give you the most push after you win the fight because there's going to be nothing worse there has to be nothing worse than winning a fight and you don't even get a a poster I tell I say you nothing worse than people having to like text you and ask you did you win because they can't find it online yeah like like you need something if you win you need something like they need to let the audience know so um myself and Ross like we're obviously talking to these organizations and uh we can only got to one event that night um first of all B I just want to touch on that I go I go I just think it's absolutely Dreadful that like you have three amateur fights on the one night and not because I don't want them to compete against each other because I feel like number one like it it sort of splits up the fighters as in like they all like you know that's one less Fight Night for all those fight or two foot less fight nights for those fighters to fight on number two it means those promotions are now competing for Fighters so when if they have Champions or want to put people in title fights now they're going to you know dilute that field and dilute three cards and number three for Irish MMA fans some fans would go to all three of those and now they have to pick one to go to so like you're actually probably reducing your own ticket sales by having them on the same night now look I think cage conflict were announced first so like were second yeah so like yeah you can't really ask cage conflict guys or the cage conflict guys to change their date they booked the day first uh clown wars and cage conflict seem to have like a bit of a healthy rivalry going between the two promotions so like maybe that that was done on purpose but I think Premier being the newest organization I feel like they should probably change the date to a week after that's just my personal take on it now obviously there's more to run an event than just picking the date it can be venues Etc as well but if I was Nor swiland I'd be gone right well like you know I if I were them my change to date by two or three weeks because I'd want i' potentially wants some people who are fighting on those cards to also fight on my show yeah well um Elite Fighting Championship in Cork and and your Fighting Championship in Yuri were book for the same weekend and then at least move their to the following week so it's just sa for the absolute MMA delinquents at home are they going to have to play three streams to watch all these three events well that's that's what it sounds like and I think like we pride ourselves on trying to put out the best content that we possibly can each week and like how are we actually gonna be be able to stay on top of three events in the one night I know we're gonna have to do it I know like oh I believe we can do it for that it's gonna be it's gonna be very well it might lead to us covering one event with like on the night and then the other two events giv a synopsis the next day but like that's that's not really on us that's that's on uh people booking dates in the same events when they know there's dates already out there so look there's there's um a lot to be said for uh having having your data on the event on the only night you know yeah well as I said to the fighters because In fairness what we care most about is the fighs try and get on the show the biggest show the best show the one that is going to give you the most push because uh at the end of day that's what's most important because you have to build up your audience and then you'll get these opportunities to go into your cage Warriors your lfls H and then hopefully one day hit the big leagues as well so uh look take your it's your career you only get one of them in the fight game so uh use your time wisely and um that's all we can really say so uh that's that's one more question so what do we actually think of three events on the same night it's not grow at all for to be honest but events are important so um overall you you'd like if one event one whoever books It Whatever R ma event books today you want them to just be have that themselves and then uh people to book events around that day um Ross another few questions just on Akuma uh the favorite thing about Akuma I know you touched on it earlier but the way the the show R so smoothly um I think the audience absolutely loved it as well um look when you book a Big Show with the way it went on to till like half 11 I think that's fine but like because we had to take like two hours to drive home like but that's that's our own fault you know what I mean so overall I thought it was a great show I thought we looked after very well um we got the CPO um like the ring girls and uh we got to save right Bes side the interview room and the the back room and um overall I think went really well I think the content we put out was at a very high level uh there was a lot to do and uh I think we have to smash out of the park uh Ross best performance at Akuma H now now I miss Jamie mcakes but obviously he got the job done about 33 seconds so for me I'm gonna say Kevin K and and then I'm also going to give a massive shout out to two others I'm going to say Peter halpy uh who took the fight on 24 hours notice uh he got the win and picked up the super Welterweight Title uh against Sean Kelly and then I'm also going to give a shout out to Alex Fagan who got a a great armar I actually recorded an interview Alex and the micone died early on the night so I charged it and it was all all Gucci for the rest of them after that thank God but uh shout out to Alex Fagen that was a great arar and apologies that the interview recorded without out sound tyal R we we can't do 10 out of 10 every week uh two two fights I want to give a shout out to as well is fuu farz getting the win against ow Mass Oliver I just top out L put on a really great performance and it like the that was like for the night wasn't it yeah the crow were really loving that and also shout out to K svin and Khloe Kier and that was a great fight as well a women's fight Rus interview K after uh girls have that absolute dog in them and then when you see that you just know they're going to go very far in the career uh Ross last question sent in by but bla Mill f is on bla Migel versus Dominic rhods biggest fight of the Year cage conflict what do you make of that fight Matt Damon versus Dominic r H what do I think by the way BL Mill was going around telling everyone at a Kum Fighting Championship that he looks like Matt Damon J putting out that out there so uh I I was calling them The Unborn identity um yeah look I'd be here for I think uh bla Mill uh he always brings it when he's in there and H Dominic rhs now the Akuma champion and the fif to four Champion so uh let's let's make it happen let's make let's put all the belts on the line and uh see who walks out the better man but uh I think that's a great fight for both men and I think it's uh a fight that people would love to see uh just don't make the main event because uh otherwise you won't fit BL blame Mill's head through through the doors at devish don't have to get a helicopter and drop the in sh Play No but uh the reaction that we got and um the support we got off the people at the event as well was absolutely unbelievable that's why we love doing this it's not actually for the the love and the praise it's actually just I love put out content that's uh out a very high level and when people enjoy it that's what's most important to me hence why I don't really enjoy being on camera but we have to do things like this Ross uh this weekend there is no UFC there is bkfc is on Saturday night H Matthew f is gonna be fighting in budo he's a professional he's gonna be fighting the Saturday night and also R Kings yeah he was there the weekend and then he put a belt on someone else and so did Paul us and then h on Sunday night grapple Kings is back and there was also a big announcement that colum Walch is going to be headlining Dublin's tree Arena and the date of that is going to be the 20th of September 20th September on a Friday uh the day out yeah so Ross a lot of [ __ ] is about to go down who knows where we
