Four first round finishes for Patty Macquarie, including one knockout in 45 seconds.
In the contender series, there could not be more on the line.
It was probably the most high pressure job interview in the world.
It wasn't your night, brother.
It's a great win.
Get back out there and get back to work and maybe we'll see you again.
Have a good night.
So that was definitely the lowest point for me.
It was one of the most heartbreaking moments
when my heart part didn't get the contract.
Knowing you won, but feeling you lost
and I think it was at the final moment in his career.
The real root of that problem was
Patti not fighting to his true abilities
and that's what I think really hurt him most
not performing to his true ability.
They've put so much time into me, time and effort, and I just don't feel that I was
able to show the true standard of their coach in that net, and I don't think there was anything
that they could have said to make that moment better.
The only things that I take from that fight now are the positives, the changes that it
forced me to make, and it just pushed me to a completely different level.
