And that's the value, isn't it? These fights, it's getting the time in the cage and finding
the holes in your game that you need to correct. That's what an amateur career is there for, isn't it?
Yep, definitely. And as we close out this last chapter of the amateur career, because we're very close,
we know what's on the horizon, it's just about checking those last few boxes.
And it all starts with that over there.

week. Nice, nice cap to things and who knows maybe if this is the last fight on
home soil as an amateur, what a way to cap it. Yeah and for people who are
watching maybe don't know that much about you, you've come into amateur
mixed martial arts over the last kind of 18 months or so but coming in from a
very decorated striking background, talk to me a little bit about that. Yeah so
I'm 14 years kickboxing, you know I've got my coach sitting over there, my
daddy's been my head coach since day one, represented Ireland at the highest
level, basically the Olympic level of kickboxing, what it is, European Olympic level, numerous
world and European championships, numerous titles along the way, 14 national titles along
the way. I know what high level competition is, you know, so this just feels normal. This
is what I'm made for, it's what I'm supposed to be doing.
And it gives you that appetite for chasing more accolades when you make the crossover?
Oh, it's never enough. It's never enough. There always has to be something on the horizon.
