🇮🇪 From Amateur to World Champion: Danni McCormack

Danni McCormack started MMA at 25 years old. After just one year, she joined SBG Ireland in January 2016 and competed in her first MMA fight at the IMMAF Europeans in November 2016.

After a busy start to 2017, Danni competed at the IMMAF World Championship in Bahrain, winning three fights on consecutive days before earning a silver medal in the final. She finished her amateur career with a record of 6-3 before turning professional in 2019.

Professional Highlights: 

• Became the first Irish Invicta World Champion, winning the title on her birthday. 
• Headlined a card in Boston as Invicta Champion and retained her title. 
• Competed for top promotions including Bellator, Invicta, and the Road to UFC at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
• Won at the UFC Apex on Road to UFC. 
• Fought multiple times at the 3Arena in front of thousands of Irish fans. 
• Irish Female Fighter of the Year on three occasions. 
• SBG Ireland Amateur Fighter of the Year (male and female).

Her Mission with IMMAA:
Throughout her professional career, Danni has dedicated her time to developing youth fighters at Relentless and with the Irish youth team at IMMAA. She is a firm believer in the youth system and the clear pathway from IMMAA to IMMAF.

"I believe it is so important that all aspiring fighters compete internationally at IMMAF tournaments before turning professional. That was the path I followed and it really stood to me all those years."

Danni's goal at IMMAA is to grow our international youth team to 100 competitive fighters at each tournament and continue to climb up the world rankings.
