Daniel Thompson last fought in 2017, making that nearly 10 years out of the cage, he was due back in the cage last November but his then  opponent who shall remain nameless pulled out on the day of the fight, not even before the event it was during it as he was cornering his teammates.

But finally the debut happened this past weekend but not without the old man utd saying of squeaky bum time as again Daniels opponent fell through the week of the fight but it was rectified very quickly and a replacement was found.

He finally got to make that walk to the cage he went out and got the finish in. Very quick fashion strategically using leg kicks on his opponent and vicious elbows, he rejoiced in celebration in front of his home crowd making it worth the wait.

Daniel has become a mainstay in the Team Limavady coaching team along with Andy Chapman who have created a team of fighters over the last two years and getting to compete in front of them would have been emotional to get to compete in front of them and lead by example.
