Go back. >> All right. Uh and uh we're back. Uh your fighting championship with Miss Alish Nunan. >> Yes. >> Uh first of all, we've talked before, so congratulations on seeing you again. >> Um >> so yeah, walk walk me through it like that. You got a a second round submission there. >> Yeah. >> Um so just walk us through it real quick. Uh, so I actually started kind of slow because um, usually I tend to go all out in the first round. So we have been kind of working on me holding it back a little that I'm not rushing into things. Um, especially as we kind of progress. Um, obviously girls are going to know that's your game and you're going to get caught out. Um, so definitely started a bit slower and I was trying to hold back my shots and stuff. But then um, I wasn't really mixing it up enough and I'm sure you probably heard a lot in the crowd telling me mix it up. Um, so that's some training. H. So once I started working that takedown like I got the first one um and yeah I was looking for the finish after that. So lucky enough to get it. >> Right on. Yeah. Um I think uh the first uh the first round was very much a standup round. A lot of back and forth between both of you. U >> you were throwing some pretty good leg kicks. >> Um and then she was landing some pretty good uh strikes as well. Uh you know kind of what were you thinking there when when she was uh kind of getting through your uh your guard there? >> Yeah. So we have been working actually that half kick a lot. It's something that I kind of really wanted to bring into my game because it has worked for a lot of people. I'm sure you've seen it lately between Mike Kai and MMA and it's not really used probably as much as it should be because you can do serious damage. >> Um, but then I wasn't really working into my takedowns. I suppose I was afraid of getting caught by her right hand because like she has a pretty >> yes >> good hands. Um, and I wasn't shooting enough. Um, but yeah, once I bring that in then it worked. Kind of wanted to see where she was at in the first round as well and there was no point rushing into Anon. Right. Did you kind of come across any surprises in the in the middle of any of that? >> Um, no. To be honest, I knew she had good hands. Like I could watch some of her fights and especially that right hand coming in over. So, it was something I was definitely looking for. I did expect maybe for her to go for clinch a bit more, especially if she knew like I suppose girls probably think I am more of a grappler. It's like more of a jiu-jitsu background. Um, but no, like first round I did think both of us would be kind of standing back a bit and that is what happened. Yeah, you're both definitely kind of feeling each other out there. >> Um, >> you know, but it was still uh still entertaining to watch. So, >> yeah, it looks good to hear >> um like uh you know, kind of talk us uh talk us to us about like kind of the leadup to this like what were you like what were you feeling like kind of backstage before uh you know, you guys are kind of walking out? Uh probably two hours ago. Definitely the nerves started kicking in. But um I think once the fight started going um I was just really looking forward to getting in there and finished the last couple of just the fight before ours and I was ready to go. Like that's my first time back in the cage since March and it's only my third MMA fight. Like I've had a lot of my Thai fights in between that. >> I think that was when we talked last year. >> I I'd won more since that and obviously I cut my eye open in that one. So >> my last good fight was here. Um so no I love it back. It's like my home crowd here as well. So, um it was great to get back in there and get the win. >> Have you fought Daniellea before? >> No. No. No. First time. >> I I feel like I've seen her a lot recently. Yeah. >> Yeah. So, speaking of that, like what would you do any research on her? >> Um I would have just seen some of her fights coming up to be honest. I don't know a lot about her, but um I've seen her her last fight with Rachel. I know Lisa Bertha she would have fought before, but the most recent one was Rachel. So, um and like Rachel's a great fighter as well, so it was good to kind of see comparison between them. >> Thank you. uh like what are you what are you walking away with today? Like what are you uh taking away from this? >> Um like I was happy I worked more legics and it was great just to see where I'm at with MMA because I haven't fought in so long. Um especially I'm training with a lot of the lads in the gym. We don't want that many girls that come in. So it's kind of good to see where I'm at because sometimes it can be harder training with lads like >> you can't go 100% and then you feel like you're not really getting anything. Um, so it's good to see where I'm at and hopefully keep improving my game for the next one. >> Right on. Um, so I guess what speaking of uh the next one, what what's uh what's on the cards for you next? Are you trying to fight again this year? Are you gonna >> uh Yeah, hopefully before the end of the year, so probably looking at maybe November. So going to the No Heroes the end of October. >> Awesome. >> Yes. So that's kind of >> my focus now for next while. Um I just sued the jiu-jitsu. It's fun and I kind of want to go see where I'm at at that. Um, but MMA I definitely want to get a few more MMA in my time before the end of the year. >> Heck yeah. All right. And then um what's uh we'll leave on a piece of advice here for other women, other other girls who are uh interested in the sport or like what's one piece of advice you give someone um who's just mildly interested in uh you know training in combat sport? >> Ah just jump in and go for it. Like I mean you meet so many amazing people with your training and like that's the gym at the minute is my second home. Um, and like it's great just keep the head clear and it's just, yeah, it's a great community. I think the martial arts, um, I don't think you'll get anywhere like it where that mix of people training and you know, no one cares what's going on. You're just all in the gym for one thing and whether it's to have fun or you want to compete or anything. I think everyone who comes in to have fun will eventually compete because that's just kind of >> just how it is >> where it's at. Yeah. Like I mean, you definitely get hooked as soon as you come in, but definitely just jump in and go for it. Like, >> right on. I forgot to ask that question on the last one here. Is that Is is there anything you'd you want to say or >> out to the world, >> to my tens of followers? >> Um, no, I'm just so grateful for the team I have behind me and especially like people like you that are promoting the sport and um like you said, you're in here on your own, but it's brilliant to have that and hopefully it keeps going. >> Right on. Appreciate it. And congratulations again. And then uh speaking of to people in the the sport like myself, um if you like this kind of content, please check out combatconfidential.com. That's my website. Um feel free to buy a t-shirt or something like that because all it all comes back and as you can see like there there's a lot here and none of it's cheap. Um you know, so >> support support local. >> Yeah, absolutely. So, you know, like and and to that, I won't keep you too much longer, but uh to that, you know, everything that I get back will, you know, go straight in to trying to make this as as good as possible. Um and then to hopefully uh to get someone in to help me out, cuz it definitely would be uh helpful here. Look, man, I appreciate I don't want to keep you too long. Um and until next time. Definitely until next time. Okay. Well, we're going to do like let's do like four more handshakes. Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just be sure. >> Right on. Okay. Thank you so much. >> All right. No problem. Thank you. Have a good one. Get you. Let's go.
