and only dean the sniper barry dean fights in titanfc come this friday there's a friday buzz it is right here yeah this friday this friday dean how you doing man i'm doing fantastic doing amazing weights perfect everything's perfect then couldn't be in a bad place right now if i tried i love it man how was that florida live treat me how's the weather over there because brutal over here storms and everything over here it's crazy right um yeah it's been the weather's really nice outside actually even when it arrived once or twice but it was still uh it's like warm rain if you get me it's weird i can't describe it but yeah it's been really nice probably you're getting attacked by lizards everywhere you go as well it's i'm not going to get used to that but it's amazing it's the best decision i've ever made and just love it when you're in this weather like all you do is train every day like it's great yeah it's there's actually loads of irish like been going over miami now paula han uh shout out to franz malambo who just won the tournament combative gary just like did they are loaded over there ross we're gonna have to go over man i'm telling you i was thought with that's one thing i'm i want to congratulate france and i i saw the results later tomorrow and i fell asleep last night i was trying to stay up and watch it and but i was unbelievable so happy for him it's 100 000 before christmas like he's he's been in the game a while so it's amazing to see that farming he definitely said what everything that's going for him you know yeah but he's gonna have to spend some that money on um another plane ticket for the trophy to bring that home because that's the thing i was thinking that yeah it's our goal hopefully it's real goal he could build a deal you're obviously over now in miami can you tell us just like what's like over there now and how are you getting on it's really good i'm training i am i see i'm mostly doing my training at american combat gym so it's this is a beautiful facility they have two gyms they're kind of connected to each other and just the level here is like it's there's not as many people as you would get in the other gyms but the quality is just like second to none like i'm getting like private wrestling drills every single day and we're training with charles rosa every single day i'll train with my coach rob do pads pad work uh almost twice a day every day haven't done pad work in about seven eight months in ireland so it's just amazing getting that working inspire and training and then i'm on a really good schedule here i'm on a really good schedule here and just it's just surrounded i'm surrounded by like the most beautiful people but like they're all just so nice man again that's the most important thing for me here it's just how kind and just friendly the energy is and it makes you want to go to the gym you know like i'm here every day twice a day and i can't get over so it's it's made me finally spark again yeah what one thing will say dean is that obviously uh you you split ways with spg charlestown and i think i saw you did a session or container right now and then you know you were heading over to the states and there was sort of you know bits bit sort of allude to online and stuff about like that but like i feel like you're a fighter that everyone has an opinion on do you feel do you feel like do you know why that is and you feel like that that gets you sometimes everyone sort of like has their say on you and they might not know the full sword i don't i honestly don't that's one thing i don't understand them and the only thing is sometimes if you're too noisy it goes against it like some of the people who have stuff to say the people that i've helped in the past are people that i've always reached out to help you know you know i talked all the time i've helped get sponsors before i've helped take them away to fight with me and i see them saying things online and i'm just like like well there they're talking about like i'm just you know quiet nice fellow stick to myself from the father just doing martial accents on the kid and a lot of people get envious over here like um obviously i got i got called up to the usa with only four fights and there's people that are traiping annoying who have had who it took years to get there who had had several fights and you know they seem to think that you know why did i not have to go through the same as they went through and i'm skipping the line like this is the fight business things like it's not always one way for somebody it's not going to be the same way for you everyone's throwing is different than that my my i was very fortunate that it you know and that's because of my fight style i'm like more than a million where i fight like you never see it so that's why i got caught up like people need to understand that i didn't make these phone calls to the ufc i didn't call these people and say oh you're saying i mean so you get a lot of hate on it and the people who hate on you are the ones who are usually the ones who want to be where you are and um i've slowly learned to evolve from all that and i used to let it get to me i used to like get really upset over and you know be wondering why aren't these people like why are they hating on me if i don't but then like they're just better bro that's why the one thing about irish mma is and it's not everybody like there's a lot of good people in the sport and there is a lot of bitterness sound and that's why they don't that's why you don't see loads of us in the ufc you know what i mean because they're all jumping off to get each other all if you think you're going there well let me have a p like you know what i mean as opposed to saying look there's there's plenty of food for everybody here like there's plenty of room for irish waiters have been old enough man he will support any other man that gets the call up and that's what separates me from them do you think that sorry yeah dean like obviously we had john dirty over like over a year ago now and like you're now funny going to be competing you're down to committee again this friday make sure not to miss it for people listening live on uc foy pass it is titanfc 73. dean like we've been looking to get you on again like since we had you on last time and like can you sort of explain what your last year has been like because like you've had so many fights you were meant to be fighting them and mike jackson for ages welterweight and then like that that fell off and like it's just like even with the crow the whole corona situation as well like what what is your year like for the people listening there because i'm sure people are tuning in to see exactly what you're going to say yeah like you've been like it's it's been it's been a really really hard year for me um just personally like outside of a gym like like in the space of a year i lost my grandmother became a father i went through so much and even in january he lost my contract with the ufc due to visa issues and then i lost my dog and i was just in a horrible place man like i was like i was going through some really bad depression at the start of the year like and you know i was reading some things about me online and stuff like that and then you know i found it really hard like i struggled to go to the gym or like it was only after my fight my i got injured in may that day i said you know what i'm really gonna get myself together here and i like got really focused and i start trying hard and and i just needed to make changes because i was going around in the same circles and i wasn't doing like i ended up hate obviously because if i went through the stuff i went through i hated mma at the time i was like i cannot stand this anymore and getting ready for fight something financially in us in a really bad place like i have a baby and i'd always put him force you know like once jesus paid for everything for us before i do and so that's what that was my main goal and then i couldn't even survive i was i was drowning um seeing people like you know not understanding that and like see just saying some nasty stuff online and stuff i kind of learned to get better take skin for it and and realize like look i'm trying to fight i'm trying to get my life down and uh all i need is this fight now and like look imagine someone dangling a lot we take it giving you the lottery ticket and then just taking off your general i mean that's kind of what it was like and it was really hard um and then i just didn't have that support where i was at the time to help me get through it and so i made them changes you know and i'm grateful i did yeah can you tell us how down you actually got because like just from the outside looking in with something roster and actual fighters yes ross but uh what what's it like being lined up for all these fights telling everyone you're having the fight that day then the voice canceled then you have to go again and then that's kind of like what like how what what mind frame does that really put you in because that sounds very very stressful because you're going into a stressful environment anyway it break it like like it broke me like i was going to get going you're just like this constantly month after month and then like i didn't know if i was going to even get my visa ever for america and then like most people would have given up they would have said you know what i'm not going through this like like we when i say we spent a lot of money on the visa and getting there we spent a lot of money so people don't understand what i went through to get here and then what i paid to get here to do this fight camp for the few weeks to have to find out i wake up at three in the morning to find it then my opponent pulled out and because he went to fight somewhere else he's not even injured around so that really that really like just if that had happened a few months ago i probably just went there you are like but i stayed focused i just i got up that morning i went straight to the gym but yeah man i was really low and that's that year like i was just caught i was crying all the time for some reason like even leaving the gym at nighttime i was breaking down and i was like just drowning like and i was like i want my deal like what's happening and i was like so embarrassed about people saying things online to me and all and people are trying to explain and i'm like i don't need to explain nothing to no one anymore like i don't need things you know what i mean where i used to feel like that and then the more i start getting like my son in my life and stuff i just i just unlocked this love for me where i just said you know what like all i care about is chase what he thinks of me and people clouds to me now what what i went through and stuff like that look i just love fighting and martial artists represent my country since i'm since i'm 11. so all i want to do is go out there and represent my country and put on a great performance and now i'm a really good fighter so love me i hate me they're going to watch me anyways you know what i mean some people hate on them what they don't understand you know and also people hate when they want to be where you are and i've made this happen i didn't just sit around i got up and i made it happen even leaving there even leaving charlestown it wasn't anything there was no badness in that at all like i actually really love allen so much love for already like i think he's one of the best coaches in the world honestly and i'm not just saying that he's he's like a mastermind when it comes to that and he was a really good friend to me and i'll always love i want to have so much respect for him like i speak so highly of him but him if this was a personal choice for me because i wasn't stuck in a really bad role and i needed to change my life and without change it can't grow without loss you can't grow so i needed to make that call and look at all the top fighters do it as well they need sometimes you just need to change in order to grow and i've changed things up and i'm after falling in love with it again i'm here every single day i'm absolutely loving i'm in great shape i'm really focused and i just want to i just want to do it for my son and get home to my my family you know yeah and i think it's the perfect way to come home for christmas uh pick up the win in titan one one thing i i did want to touch on is uh in relation to what you're talking about i always find the irish people to we tend to back our own quite a lot and i feel like maybe you're missing out on that and like people maybe aren't packing you as much as they should be and i feel like i don't know why but people feel like when it comes to your name they can say what they want do you feel the same way yeah yeah i don't like so some of them comments that were made underneath that post for people who have personal agendas against me and then you you know just coaches that shouldn't be talking like that shouldn't like why why would a cows be writing that sort of stuff on the pulse then which was also writing lawyers about someone who's just over here trying to trying to create a life for himself trying to provide for his kid and stuff like that so that really that really upset me reading some of them stuff because i was like it's not true what they were saying like like where were these people when i signed the fight thing my degree was rent a fight eight and four on three and one my last guy i saw the fight was eight and one the last guy before that was seven on one all seven wins by knocking the last guy before that signed was six and two and i was i was one on one so i'm like where are you going trying to say that i'm fighting cans i think that was very unfair to say go on my typology like the fights that got canceled on me were true to visa issues i put i had to put it once in my life due to an injury and that was against it in eight and one i'm on three on one so where how am i fighting cards how am i trying to do this i obviously i can only fight who's in front of me i've said yes to every single name that was handed to me this week i'm a fighter like i'm not afraid to fight anybody looking some of them comments do they they i've seen like our teammates are like in the comments people who i used to train with and who i really helped they want stuff so they wouldn't say it themselves but they're liking all this stuff and i just taught like you know what like it just i don't know i let it i let it get to me and then you know i went on video call to me son and he just he reset me and just i said you know what i i let it bother me for a day and that's it god moved on from me i don't i no longer read anything anymore like i completely don't read nothing like i actually did i delete me set me uh i deleted me twitter as well just i don't need to see any of that stuff anymore like i'm i'm a fighter i go out fight and i don't need to please anyone or do this for anyone none of them people that wrote that have any relevance in my life they mean nothing to me like absolutely nothing so why why would i let that upset me and everyone has an opinion at the end of the day like like and and if you try to tell me that if one of them spent that money i spent on the visa and and the camp to get here and the workers put in and everything i've been through to have four four names thrown at me in a week while i'm here that i'm just gonna say actually you know what i'm not gonna fight that guy because i'm worried that what they might say about me of course i'm gonna fight the fella and get paid the same amount of money i need to fight it's been a year and a half i'm not and it doesn't matter who they had to put in front of me they would have had something to say anyway you know i do think there is an issue that obviously you didn't choose to fight drew lipton now the way the void game works is you're asked will you avoid him and you said yes like you mean like what more are you supposed to do like you have to understand obviously you have jace at home you have to earn a living i mean you can't come back to ireland with an empty pocket you have to make something and and and when i talk the money i spent on that visa to get here i spent over 5 000 just to come here with flights coaches flights hotels food everything so for me to turn around and say you know what i'm not taking this for you just because i'm worried what a few nobodies will say about me i'm not going to do that like of course i'm going to take the fight anyone with a brain would you know that's why i i watched a lot of stuff lately and like this is the fight games you know what i mean look at like i'm here to fight so well i see there's some big names who have only signed with the ufc who have fought who have like four people who are all and tortilla and 24 and stuff like that and then there was nothing said there you know what i mean but i just think people are trying their best to jump on me the second they say something because they never said nothing when i signed to fight these gold fighters and when i got signed to the ufc i had not peed out of any of them but then if the slightest thing is slightly not right for them they'll all dive on andy and that's just life you're going to get people hating on you for nothing like [ __ ] them do you feel a lot of pressure on this performance because your opponent has the record of 6 30. yeah i think that's all one of the comments that like he actually said he has more wins and yeah he has he has he has 16 so his typology says 6 and 30. he's 16 or 28 or something again and you can find all that you can find them wins that are on youtube that aren't on topology the same when i started to fight abdullah he was four and one and then all of a sudden all these wins start coming up that he had and he was seven on one like this guy has more fighting saying he's fought loads of bear local fights yes he has losses but he he's very dangerous like he has he i would rather fight hugo to fight this fella this fella just runs in swinging bombs he has nothing to lose he's not carrying the world i have everything to lose so if i beat this fella it's going to be oh you'll just be a can a bomb and then imagine if i had a loss if i if i if i lose him so there's a lot on the line for me here like and like people you just i don't understand people man like oh look i i don't even care about what they say anymore i i always genuinely saying that it doesn't bother me in the slightest saying like oh you've not do hard work i'm gonna put in with the show and do you do you think you have to win in spectacular fashion here as well yeah i'm like i'll have to get a good win on him like he's like he's he's tough like i'm moving up 10 pounds to fight him as well like i'm taking about 165. i'm like 167 pounds right now like you know what i mean like and he has to quote to get to this weight like on like people i think people are getting the the wrong idea online of that all dean's fighting at 6 and 30 like you know i'm not you know i didn't try to fight somebody like this you know i saw him to fight in eight or four so where was the saying our fair play to fight him so people just want to hate but it's not and i'm saying that again it's not a lot of people because i have got so much support off and a lot of irish four years like so i'm not saying that it's everybody but you have the same bit of shorts who are there people are doing mma about 10 12 years and they haven't even had a pro footage yet or they're just they're just going nowhere in their career but okay i wish them all the best who said that about me and i hope they all do well and i hope they are naked and like i have no space in my heart for any bitterness and i really hope everyone does well like to forget our country we need to stick together yeah i definitely don't think any of the uh abuse or any of the you know for taking the void to come with you and when i saw it i i did i did have a look at the recording oh geez like that's quite an obscure record so you don't see many people uh with that sort of record and then someone i think someone mentioned me that i was hot somewhere that like he's lost five times by knockout in the last year and sort of that on you know people questioned whether the voice should be sanctioned if that is the case with him so often and like look i'm sure you probably think the same if you saw something else so in that uh to fight a knockout artist like yourself but at the end they like who are you to say no bro do you think i'm gonna say no like he this was if i hadn't said yes to this for you okay now watching on the plane back to dublin sitting there again it's in the exact same position i was before i left miserable down in the dumps no fighting yeah what would that have done to you if you had to just pack your stuff up and feel home like what would have broken me bro like i would have just wanted to be home with me someone and just hold them and just be like you know what where do i go from here like what do i do like like you can at the end of the day you can't please everybody bro like oh look i i have a i have a huge group of friends who are so loving and supportive i have a huge family of a beautiful little son at home and they support me and that's all i care about i've made so many good friends here the difference is you know what i find so strange the support from the people at samford and the support from the people here why are why am i not getting that at home there's people like people at home seem to think if you're an excellent for the shot like oh i want that like no not you but if put if you're in my shoes i'm like jesus fair play here bro i'm going to be right up there besides like i want to see so many other people in the ufc like that that'd be amazing do you know what i mean if i'm unreal for anybody like i don't get it but at the end of the day i focus on myself now i don't i don't look into that anymore like i let my brother kind of just look after me social media now i just got out from the other little poster troll for me and he put it up and i don't look at it anymore because i've worked so hard on my mental health and my and then and my new approach and training and it's it's showing like i'm in great shape i'm so happy and healthy and like even the people i saw that were taught any friends like writing and liking stuff i just removed them all off my my instagram and they know who they are they're gone so they have nothing to do with them i have a private page and keep everything circle small now that's it and i'm focused on the bronze i'm going to put on an absolute fantastic performance like when you see the levels of master shooting up it's crazy and then people will say oh how are you shooting look levels when you're fighting a can i've seen those of these little teenagers all right and stuff and i'm like what we're doing you idiot like why are you playing into that and the same people who who have been writing stuff online and forced people to to try to talk about mental health and like you know oh let's all get together mental health awareness not but yet that they're trying to make a lie up about me online when like that's one thing what really woke me off was saying i i traveled the world before i can when if you go on my topology and look at the record of the people i've signed the fight look at the record of the last guy i knocked their call i got called up to the ufc how on earth am i fighting can't so please explain that that that is one thing i i also want to touch base with you at dean i don't know obviously you're with soccer punch management i don't know whether they deal with hunter mick whoever in the ufc with the win here are you supposed to confuse me with ufc yes yes that's why why do you think i'm fighting like why do you think i was not leaving here without fight like i'm not and and at the end of the day i'm i'm a really awkward fighter like i'm who like on a week's notice to fight against me at 155 like not mean you're going to jump on it and i'm not saying no one's afraid of me i'm not saying that in the slightest i'm saying the way this happened the fights that were offered that didn't happen and then this this fight just happened for me of course i'm going to say yes and of course if they rang me while i was in dublin and said hi dean 6 and 30 going here for you i would have said get [ __ ] that's the facts i'm not like that in fact sometimes your hands are tied and like you're already there and that's it like what am i going to say like if i had it and the truth is if i had a set now and hopped on that plane home they were still going to talk about me oh seven fights fall through now this fella never fights this fella pulling out fights he's a [ __ ] i've heard it all before like i don't let none of that bother me anymore bro like they say what they want and again i'll reiterate it it's not everybody i have a lot of good good following at home i have a big following at home i have a lot of good friends i have a lot of people i chat to all the time i'm supportive to all them responsibly you just have the same consistent fear you like you know pop their head up and say some [ __ ] and disappear and it is what it is bro you can't please anybody people can say what they want you know dean ever since you you announced that you saw him video see myself and ross especially were like absolutely buzzing to see you getting in there i know the last year has been crazy it's been crazy for everyone but like what's the sort of situation now with the ufc as well basically they tell me the situation what happened was i they couldn't get my visa and they said it was the only visa they've ever deployed for the knife that got denied even a waiver so they said look he can't get his visa and recall that they're going to be waiting that's very long times that he said look it we're going to have to release him on this contract and if he gets his visa if he's able to get it come back to us and we'll make the fight happen so i went to travel the world together because i had to do a personal one i wanted the view i had broken and then i got the interview and i got the v's and they were like oh you got it so quick okay let's try let's get the mic fight going he tried to get that gown he had a lot he had a lot of issues going on apparently outside of the ufc which i don't know about so i can't you know i can't speak on him so um you know you don't know what people are going through so they went on for a month there and they were saying yeah yeah yeah we're trying to make that happen blah blah blah then they said look there's a lot of things going on with mike and i'm gonna i'm gonna really find a hard to have to get him sanctioned he could be sitting there for a very long time so they'd let you just said to my manager can you get me another phone and um get me to form one my manager called me and said dan look this is the this is it this is what's happening i was heartbroken he had sank and i was just like and i was more the more sane because i felt embarrassed i was like oh you know i have to like the amount of people are going to start opening their out now and i just said yeah get me a flight sam and he literally just got on the point and talked to them a week later they sent him over topology he sent it to me i didn't even look at it i just thought it was perfect sign it and he was like she sure said yes i know i don't care that was here then i got the fight on bro like there's nothing like a deal there you know so now i get this fight get out of the way my manager's flying in it's going to be a big night it's walking out my lawyer who got me the visa is walking in my lawyer who's walking in guppy davis and uh he's coming here it's a big night for us all and then and then where'd you sort of go from there after is it like after you want to get in there live on ufc fight pass we're going to have a big talk and but basically bro i want to win here and start this man straight away i'm going to get in and get out i'm going to get home see my son have a great christmas with him and i'm going to try and flatio after it and throughout it i'm going to go back to the gym that that i was waiting just before i came over and i'm going to keep trying it hard and i'm going to be coming back and forth here look it's amazing here and i've let my 11 up already crazy amounts so and hopefully to get out i'd love to get out in january like i'm fake i'm healthy i want to drop to 145 as well on my way to my way to low like at the minute so sorry is that that gym team rhino was it yeah yeah yeah talk to andy like and that's the thing andy andy knew all week and i was i was sending andy all the topologies that was getting sent to me i said these are this is the fight that they're giving me now then he'd give me his advice on it like dean i think you're knocking him out blah blah blah this is the one they're giving me now andy now this is the fight that's happening now like and that's the thing so these are all trying to make out on that boy flew here to fight a can well and andy knows i sent him all the look and i was like what are you thinking on you know so it is what it is bro yourself and ross are obviously fans especially that's why we love doing this and like yeah you know promoting our george fights even having the face off so at least if the fighters have won a footage are better for each other they get to put on a platform as well and then have back and forth even the most recent one we had ross over um cage legacy like the two of us just like they fought each other but like they're they were like gents about it like they it was very very professional and it was just something to be admirable about the rcma scene and in order for like the big events to come back to ireland there needs to be a bit the fandom needs to be there to support like they need to be tweeting down a tweet and titan tweet and brave all these organizations to get them to come here that's it like like so in the world in the world of where your channel may like uh just like what's what's the saying i always say um a royals and toys will lift our ships there we go listen if you're if you're constantly and just on that look like i i know the cave's legacy was on yesterday and like jace's mom sean won the belt and i saw him in the caves and all he like that was that melted my heart so i'm really happy for her i'm really happy for him and you know what she does well he's going to do well and leave so i was really happy to see that i watched it from here and seeing my son in the cage and he's just saying what's going on like that it just it melted me man i'm so happy so happy they got the win and all you know what i mean so that's like a family thing so i was delighted to see that there was some amazing points on that question what i'm saying is like you have people have to come together in our country you just see a lack of it like you know it isn't i've been around the block i've trained in many places i kind of okay and and one thing see what seeing here in america everyone is juice you walk into the gym every now it doesn't matter if there's a complete newbie in there everyone's high fiving each other let's go let's get this working everyone is so supportive man and you're just you're level when you're happy and feeling that love you're going to train you're trying to go so skyrockets even when i went to the sanford bro everyone high five and now [ __ ] everyone has just passed you committed into some of these gyms people smoke their nose and walk straight past you and think they're better than you won't engage with you where all you talk to i'll talk to the to a brand new person i'll go over and introduce myself i always have i'll always offer help by giving so many people free gear or helping people so much stuff something i find it and i've actually found it that's that's come back to to bite me in a way because people take their kindness for weakness i feel like people think down this softy or something like that like because i'm a pushover or something because i just don't say anything like you know me i don't trash talk i don't i don't i don't get into all that i'm going a different path all my path was completely different to all the others and some people take it the wrong way and they can i used to get really wound up over but i don't care anymore yeah i also think barry just touching what you are saying on there on the rising toy lifting all ships i mean like people are always acting like they they want dean to lose or something and like at the end they theme wins in the ufc there's another irish fighter on the ufc roster there's a better chance of ufc dublin going back exactly bro as opposed to like was begging for a ufc show with no one to put on yeah and i don't i i honestly don't understand why people feel that way like see even paul hughes he's he's a animal like he's a he's a watching him he's a really good player and then like we've been a fan of he's actually watching him from afar again he's on the brink of going straight in as well but paul's part was different paul's after fighting really hard for you to getting up and getting the belt etcetera and paul i think paul would win that really much to be honest with you i think he won the fourth one but like there's an example there like he's going to get signed but he had a hard he had a hard round but i'm fighting since i'm 10 years old i'm fighting as far the best in the world the more in my sport multiple times over i came into this sport i just have a different fighting style that people really just like it's a fan friendly style a troll crazy spinning [ __ ] that correct style it's not it's very weird to say but that's why i got caught up do you know what i mean and i really hope i see a lot of irish guys you know i pray in france when amber gets to call up there which i reckon he will and because you're going to see more people after that but that's why i'm in the position i mean because i am i'm happy for people and that's why when you're happy for people and you're happy with yourself bro you're going to just excel so much in life if you carry that bitterness and oh boy you can't avoid him they're gonna stay there they're gonna stay in that dull miserable spot that they're in while everyone else is exceeding them if you you need to be happy for people and support people even though even though i've read some of the [ __ ] it doesn't change it's not going to change me it's not going to change here i am but i honestly think though i get more support than [ __ ] i'm not just going to sit here and be like my own and saying i get all that a good deal will get a lot of support as well more so even with this fight call off there's only a few the only people who say stuff was irish people did you not notice that yeah i don't i do i do feel that like i'll be honest with myself when always seeing all your fights get
