have liverpool's own paddy the body pimla paddy welcome back on the energizer show great to see the receptions picking up over in liverpool how are you getting on i'm glad i feel the best of felt i'm gonna kill a man when it comes down to the match how excited are you see paddy piml back in action he always brings the noise and i don't think there's ever been anyone in cage wires who's blown the roof off an arena like paddy did in the echo yeah well it's it's not just what he's doing in in liverpool as well it's just all the car like he's become the face of cage wires and like any time the cage warriors are doing promotion paddy seems to be like the center point of it all like even the most recent video got over a million views as well i think that was on facebook was it buddy yeah he had a ufc fight fast scared it wasn't even a cage what is video that was ufc fight past one and a that's true yeah it really really is uh i think we were only saying to nathan fletcher there were like we've only had i think yourself ian gary paul hughes like the elite the lead of cage warriors talent uh on this podcast and you know oh i feel like we have a good eye for talent for a superstar and you know eurostar has always been joining paddy i must say as you say without being a big added rift i am the face of cage bodies that's simple apart from in france nowadays there's morgan's shady areas but i i am the face of cage while he is and it's that simple so we're gonna they're gonna have to build a new star when i'm gone ladder name i'm hoping it's nathan fletcher because he's got the talents what do you think of the nickname flawless nathan fletcher because we gave him that in the last show yeah he is pretty flawless and he wants to be honest he's the southport strangler though i like that one as well actually oh dude apparently he is he is a such a massive prospect coming through on that another elite rapper out of next gen what is the story with all the grappling there the next gen is it um the head coach or how is everyone so good there she's no lads second degree black belts he's the man when it comes to being on the matlabs he's your he's a better coach than he is practitioner which makes us 10 times better and all the lads within the gym we have a lot we have a jujitsu team as well as an mma team and the giugia two teams world class and paddy obviously you know after this fight you'll uh you'll set off to vegas and then you'll sign your contract probably in dane boyd's office they'll probably avoid you over and uh he'll have you sign you're all uh so in your contract and you probably have a liverpool jersey ready with payment on the back for free and everything but uh who would you would your perfect opponent be in the ufc first well i've i've been asked this question a few times i'd like to fight janet gordon just because he fought before fish he didn't even form a teammate and he made idea fight silly so i'd like to take that one back to the gym and show everyone that that wasn't a proper representation of next generation was that over in floyd island yeah remember yeah i would say you'd love a trip to florida oil and paddy would you need to get that sword i'd love to get back there yeah i could see you over there living your best life you know i mean i got a lovely time there we have it achilles from troy who was that brad pitt walk around the place uh paddy come here when your flight was announced you are fighting on saturday march 20 in london on cage wars when that was announced um like like how long did you know that martinez was going to be your opponent and when it was announced like what happened to what happened to your like like your social medias and stuff did it just blow up yeah yeah whenever whenever a fighter man gets announced it always blows up knowing that's just the way it is um i faced i just i faced i wanted a ufc best known i mean just to well that first i asked the belt i got told aggie said he's not defending and then as we know about a week ago it got announced that he's fighting eddie ben laughter and then today we found out that ben last stars pulled out and desmond's toughest police and he i i never got asked to take his place in that one but i've seen i'm gonna win this fight and i'm gonna go to the ufc it's that simple um you know you get a lot of fighters out there saying that i have to fight you i want to you tear me down this and that the only fighter once said yes to fighting me is david martinez so i take me out off to him for it because all these other bums out there saying oh i wanted to fight you know he talks [ __ ] nobody has to fight me say what you want on social media but if you want to fight me get on e message and say i want to fight paddy there we have it no one wants no one to piece the body um no one wants this smoke how do you what what do you see that um david martinez can do that could give you any trouble is there anything you can do you can't trouble me anywhere the fight goes i'm next level confluence every next year obviously the same as everyone else has got he's got a big over on right but he can throw at me but he won't land and he's got a [ __ ] double leg that's not even a fast double leg he just grabs the legs and life literally i i can't see a test to be anywhere the fight goes to be honest i don't know how he's on the sixth fight with see and he's eight and two he must be beating although the crabs paddy as i was saying earlier like the last time we spoke it was ten months ago which is unbelievable it was it was just beginning lockdown basically but um like then you were getting your house fixed we were talking about how like um your like mental health was and how uh training like you were coming off the injury all this sort of stuff then you got to win like and now speaking to now you're just like like a caged animal ready to go in the best way possible if you know what i mean i i i i have a case i feel the fittest i've ever felt he waits unbelievably low known i mean i've only got a couple of key to lose in 10 days yeah you're looking quite lean i'm gonna oh a lot i'm gonna hate i don't even like saying it but i am i'm not a [ __ ] hater he's not gonna know what's it he's never fought anyone like me no one's ever thought anyone likes people like i told you last year against deffy i wanted to showcase me strife and would have been waiting on it but even more so over the past year i've focused on me saving even more and you're just gonna see it a patty that body's 2.0 just clearly are you gonna see an all-around master class i know i know when you're like just one sec sorry knowing that you're like so close to the finish line to enter in the cage and then so close to if once you get to win next thing is dlc like how does that make you feel after this whole journey because like you've been on a crazy crazy journey yeah i grew grew up in this i was started fighting amateur when i was 16 at 10 pro when i was 17. i grew up on the cage while he was roster i went out today this is me 14th cage while you just fight i'm 10 and 3 on cage know what i mean i've lost two titles fighting juice heads on here it's time it's time to set up a new chapter i'm gonna be a [ __ ] worldwide star and i can't wait lads it's me destiny honey you know what that's probably a record that will never be broken 14 fights from the cage warriors banner that's extraordinary impressive in its own right and just you were saying that you're striking and you've put a lot of work in do you see this fight finishing on the feet or will you rely on your grappling which you've done so successfully in the past i see this fight finishing on the feet unless you drop them and then i submit him know what i mean but i see this fight finishing on the feet personally oh i'm excited to see that possible are you yeah no paddy like to be honest like ever since we've seen you get in there and do your thing it's just it's been really really good like a lot of a lot of fighters we watch like sometimes that they lack that certain thing it could just be like the x factor but like without doubt you definitely have that in the cage warriors have definitely seen it and you see you've seen it as well so it's going to be really interesting to see you go into the ufc and bring that massive audience like deliver poorly in the audience and like even more so the english audience as well like um like hey english we're not english we're scouts okay the scouts well how does it feel to have like the hot the whole scout army backing you and like like really looking forward to you performing that next weekend and then like make that rise into the ufc like how does that make you feel it's brilliant i just wish everyone could be there to watch you don't want to be in it i know that's the thing yeah there's annoying that there's no crowd but everyone will be watching me from their own houses and sitting with it but my mates are all getting together we found these all getting together know what i mean everyone's gonna be together watching it and like i say i'm gonna put on a [ __ ] performance i'm gonna put on a masterpiece like this is going to be like a reference i absolutely love it um paddy so what what what it what is the prediction is it done in one yeah thought in one i'll be honest i think decky dalton's better than davey martinez i prepared for the best fighter possible in front of people i i i'll be honest i think that becky dalton's more battle tested and for better people and um after the fight like if it goes on if you go unscathed would you take some time off or you're just gonna get right back into the gym and be like head down you're not like um satisfied yet in the past i've bloomed off of my incense with [ __ ] i mean i just at loads of chocolate and went up to like 86 kilo that's not happening this time that's knowing i mean i'm keeping me weight down i'm getting ready to stand that contract and then the short notice fight on the ufc comes up i'll be [ __ ] taking it oh that's it ross there we go yeah i think that's it like well before we we'll let you go paddy do
