Energized "One-2-Watch" sits down with Max Lally shortly after he returned from IMMAF worlds in Bulgaria as Ireland’s only gold medalist, winning the final against another Irish fighter around his 18th birthday. Lally describes nine years in the sport, an intensive six-month camp from January 2021, training through a broken foot with a cortisone shot, and visualizing the podium after arriving Wednesday and fighting Sunday. He credits a split camp across SBG Naas (Roddy, jiu-jitsu/MMA grappling/striking) and SBG Charlestown (Sergey, wrestling), plus DCA Muay Thai and other gyms, and details his notebook-driven obsession with linking sequences. His near-term focus is amateur MMA debut on 5 September 2021 at All In War Fighting Championships against a more experienced opponent, while also targeting Irish IMMAF nationals and IBJJF no-gi worlds in Texas. He thanks Paul for mindset work, praises Conor McGregor for funding 27 Irish athletes despite limited team training before worlds, and names sponsors including Dara O'Malley. The hosts also get his UFC 265 picks and broader fight-week predictions.

[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] energize show up the irish okay what's going on guys welcome to a brand new episode of energize one two watch ross introduce the guest we have ireland's only imaf gold medalist from bulgaria it is mr max lally max how are you doing and how good does that goal feel power up boys feels [ __ ] amazing feels great congratulations max before we get into things like obviously myself and ross were following the whole team how they got on i'm sure those people were not so supposed to obviously but then like seeing yourself coming home with the win with the gold the only person you know like from the r team to come up with a gold now the funny thing was you actually be another irishman in the final which is even more crazy to believe but coming home with that or with that with that gold medal oh just on your 18th birthday or the day before like what what what is the last few days been for for you ah it's it's definitely been not not a dream but i went over with the intentions of winning i put my expectations up to that level i feel like that i've been around the block but the on the spot nearly nine years now to the owner since i'm a young phil i cannot man so i really fell short lots and lots of times before this on the coin that really put me foot down trying on almost two sessions every day monday to saturday and it really put me for i don't think i i've ever trained as much for anything in my life because i had that expectation of bringing a gold medal back and i felt really good to the other like really good but i did have a few challenges put in front of me i actually broke my foot in jail and i had to go and i was trying on a broken foot for like a few weeks i had to get a cortisone shot put into it and just continue trying them but it was like the mindset in my head was almost like this is my time you're not mean you've been at this long enough now you need to grab this by the scrub for the neck and i feel like that's what they're doing you know what i mean even when i was when i got there it was almost like i was like fascinated and i was like looking at the powder i was picturing myself on top of the podium and i was almost visualizing everything that he was doing and this is like today i only got there on the wednesday and i was fighting on the sunday and on the wednesday thursday friday saturday all the days i was just like visualizing myself on the podium was visualizing myself submitting people and beating people and walking around the cage and it was like the day before it was like almost like it was like okay you're gonna be on the top of that podium by the end of the day and i just believed in myself that much i couldn't even talk i wasn't even talking to anyone or not and everyone was looking at me who's this fella even all the like kazakhstanis bulgarians and all they were like like when i was walking around was in the zone found and all on they're looking at me being like it was this fella because before that the irish were doing good but i don't think they were going through the amount of people that i went through or the amount of people jordan went through you know what i mean i feel like when they seen me and jordan going through everyone they were like okay these hit these are these aren't taking um it was really really really enjoyable experience stuff going away with the irish team it's the first time i've ever got to represent orland with a group of individuals and not myself sometimes i just got away from judicial competitions i'd be kind of boring myself but it was a really really good experience yeah and one thing the world's no i was going to say like if you sorry max just brought up one day a quote that he posted on his instagram there after he won the gold the gold medal i dreaded like you're giving people shout outs from the team to everything and you did mention that you lost previously when like and you fell down and then i think that is the main thing that every good champion has they they lose maybe it doesn't have to be the highest highest levels but you lose and then you just have to keep going and going you know what i mean like nothing in the world nothing in life is worth is worth anything if you're just handed it if you have to work with something you're going to treat that the whole time is more and like it's just it's unbelievable looking at yourself now we've been like seeing your work obviously training down with uh roddy and like hanging out with jared harris and stuff and then like just seeing you're putting in so much effort like train and like even with surgery there's just a like a gorilla squad going on there like you know me and then they're coming out with the goal it's just it's it's always so brilliant to see you see someone work and putting their absolute bollocks trying their hardest pulling all their effort into it and they're coming on with the goods and it's just such a brilliant thing to see especially from a country like ireland and especially the way we only got one gold medal it was you yeah and now it's it's congratulations yeah thank you sorry one thing i didn't want to ask questions is that obviously there was a big chess game over there between yourself [Laughter] see i actually believe online represented uh represented me because i live in may live in ashburn and uh me and a few of me mates you play chess in school loads for years from like first class right up until six class chess and then we want to lance our toilet so i always play chess always and i remember that chair the coin that was smashing everyone in the gym he goes up yeah how bust you want the game was okay i know but we smoked them in the forest game and then after that start a little rosary now the royalty right now is over one tree games and he's won two so we still have the coin that it's going to the next one coined at the soyuz it continued to rivalry enough oh it's totally it's toys one thing i have noticed about yourself max and i don't see it with too many oils at least you have um almost like a split cross train between spg nace and spg charlestown and what way does that work out obviously own roddy won the best striking coach in the world and obviously sergey top-end wrestling coach obviously you can see the attractions of both teams but uh what is your split there in terms of uh you're trying so the split we're trying at times is the way i see it and the way i feel that every other athlete should see it is that i've wrapped all this being my jiu-jitsu coach since i'm about 11 years of age and sergey has been my wrestling coach since 13 years of age so there's a loyalty between the boutron and for those two men i do anything that's it's simple as of a really good bond with both of them like father figures about them i want to be exactly like them in a way and the way i'd explain is i go to both of them gyms as much as i possibly can and makes it going down to dca the muay thai club craig and cully and all them lads oh as well [Laughter] i just want to jump in there max that's a very much george saint pierre-esque approach you find some of the the most elite athletes in their respective um sort of trade and you go to them for that trade it's impressive it's like the way i see it is you're only going to get so far being in the same place all the time i'm going around and i'll go to east coast for jiu jitsu we go to sergey's for wrestling i go to oh i go to ruddys for mma grappling strike and i go to dca for striking and i've really felt the development not in in my training and how i perform and training and clearly now and how i perform in competition i felt a huge i feel i felt like i've almost jumped up a few levels in the past few months and i really really from january i looked at that uh i'm after at the time it was in turkey i think was in eastern bowling turkey and i said to myself i'm gonna train as hard as i possibly can for the six months as hard as i can that's exactly what i did and looking back at it it's almost like i'm thinking to myself it was like i missed out on sandwich it was like on the toilet beyond for that people we going to party to be going out there with all sorts and i'm like no nothing on that i'm not doing this everything i do evolves around the sport and it always has and i wouldn't want that any other way because i'm simply like in love with what i do every single day sorry max what is it about that that you actually love is it you know like the camaraderie do you know of like going training separate things do you like improving like what is it because you seem to be just having a bit of fun with it i know like like i know obviously you went on one to go there so it's more than just one but you seem to be having fun while doing it you don't seem to be like forcing yourself to do it you know no not at all not at all it's you get i get this feeling of satisfaction and it's a satisfaction of when i do something so say for instance in mma doing a session i'll do a session and after a session of a little notepad uh and i'll write down everything i did in that session and from that session with loads of run-outs probably a little notepad it's nearly falling it's getting one what i do is i link what i've done in previous sessions to the sessions i currently don't and i do that because i do lots of sequences so sequences in stroke and wrestling while wrestling jiu jitsu and frown and pound link it all together and it's almost like obvious call me a little weird i'm saying you're you're a bit too obsessed with this look but it's it's actually like it's genuinely like a weird obsession that i have and it's when i'm in training camp as well sometimes i have coaches telling me hey i'm actually need to stop trying and like you're dealing too much you're gonna overwork yourself because i get mad i grow with myself and i'll think that you're not training right now and some fell out and rush is trying and he's gonna he's gonna beat you or some fella in kazakhstan's train or some fella in bulgaria is trying to and i see it as they're not gonna outwork me oh like i'm never gonna let anyone work harder than me because that's if there's one thing it doesn't matter with technique anything like that with heart i have a lot of heart and i feel like that's going to take me so far not just in mma but just in life all together i know you know for a fact that anything all day will show my absolute hardest to do until i get perfectly meow moi and does that make sense this is a chess player that's a chess player with them coming out you know absolutely absolutely oh i think i think this interview is coming up tomorrow and kieran's coming at the following day yeah whatever if you actually listen in reverse you'd swear max lally was uh on the call with here on that because he was saying you just show up and you have to keep on getting better every every day and he was saying that you know when we were over there when you were over the olympics saying that the russians and the ukrainians you mean like there are killers over there and you have to handle that yeah it's just very impressive to see someone as young as yourself but such like level-headed shoulders are uh on them i'm like so driven and i love to see it and i think just one thing that makes you different and that's one thing that we always look out for is sort of your adaptability and your awareness that like different place you go into different places you'll pick up these new things and uh barry's a big fan of the pen and notepad and he writes everything down for us i'm really go with the flow we'll buy you where we are today unless he wrote everything else because uh he even even to do with like the guests that we have on each week in the show i understand that from that point of view because like it keeps he keeps us relevant with that pen and paper yeah no i feel like as well as that is you need to write stuff down to actually see what you're doing unless sometimes i have sega around observing what i'm doing pointing at what i'm doing wrong but sometimes i feel like you have to do it i said as well you can't have everyone doing it for yourself always for you and that's a bit of almost like yeah yeah do you want to free yourself from improvement you know what man so i have i look up all the best people in the world i look up to how connor mills i look up how cooperate moves i look up how my particularly like favorite at the moment is how san cory san hagen how he moves in striking exchanges how the likes of chad mendes would move in wrestling exchanges and what we do is we hand select one team in a session so recently i've been working lots and lots and lots on cage pressure so what i'll do is i'll hand select one team and i'll hand select one take down and i'll see if i like the owner and it feels good so i've done i've been doing a few things islam i could share what he does against the uh the cage and i've been mixing that in with me trying and what i'll do is i'll do that for a session i'll do it for another session and what i'll do is i'll probably give it a three or four sessions and i know myself it fits into what we do make sense yeah oh absolutely you seem like the ultimate student of the game you do max you know actually yeah it's quite impressive yeah but like that's why people are that's what we have beyond that's where we're having people tune in like i mean you're saying stuff everybody writing stuff down if someone's someone wants to achieve gold in anything i mean like having a direct plan and written down like thoughts that's going to help you more than like just writing on your phone you know to come back a year later and be like oh jesus still forgot to feed the dog feed dogs feed new dogs well max obviously obviously your goal is i assume is to go pro in the end and like make this a career out of it this obviously you have your first up-and-coming amateur fight and yeah how do you feel about that and obviously it's going to be totally different to your math saying i mean you'll have strikes to the head strokes on the ground how do you feel about that yeah so for people that don't know that's going to be on september the 5th on all your war fighting championships it's going to be pay per i feel really good for this because i feel like um the omas was very limited what i was able to do i feel like that i could have definitely finished a lot more people if i was able to strike that ahead if it was proper amateur i feel like i would have finished everyone 110 percent i feel like that everyone sees me and it's like he's a grappler you know what i mean and that's that's what i'm known as but i feel like that what i've been working on over the past few months you're gonna see you're gonna you're gonna see me for september 5th and it's going to be like okay this fella's not just a grappler i've been working lots on striking clinching everything and what i'm trying to do is i'm trying to really really showcase the past few months because the past few months have been changed game-changing i mean and um i'm really really looking from against a really good opponent he's uh i think he's four and six four even six he's a lot and i wanted to make sure that for my amateur debut i didn't want to come across another debut i wanted to show that what i've been doing the past few years and how what my skill level is at i want to showcase that then everyone in ireland everyone in the uk and i want to really really put everyone on notice september 5th that's where my plan and believe it or not even when i was over at the imf it was like i was partly thinking about that as well so i coined the fantasies i'll be like okay after i win gold you know i'm straight back to the gym today wednesday and what you're going to do is you're going to go train and i work on these set of things you're going to walk on destroy you can tell your man's a cell phone working on strike me and cell pause i'm going to be really really focused in on this opponent and max was that a bit of powerful would you mind magic not announcing the fight till i after the imaps was there [Music] the way i see it is if you focus on one thing at a time that's simple as you can't be focused on three things at the one time yeah um oh you always get over and then pause like here i'm actually i don't know how he's gonna stop thinking about this for you well pardon me i just can't i can't help it like you're not mean that's like i'm almost like ah in my head i'm like i have a fourth september fifth and i'm in bulgaria i'm [ __ ] getting ready to fight a lot of different nations like you're not being but uh now i went to the parliament the night before it flew out and i was talking about the foot and he was like you come on you're gonna like the bulgarian tomorrow looking at me so uh but he's really i feel like in the same way i've been really blessed to have paul uh he really does help me out with train and mindset everything and that's sound good altogether if you're not man i'm not gonna lie this has been a massive two weeks in your life that you'll probably look back and go geez that was a roller coaster you know you saw him you saw him in one hit management you go off to the imax win gold yeah and now to your debut and you turn 18 on the last two weeks that's a lot for anything you're taking absolutely incredible each one an achievement in their own right let's turn knight into the gym it is achievement do i always say it is uh only constrained in the spg challenge full of killers you know you're looking to pass past 17. yeah no yeah that's like as i was saying about rally and sergey i'm very lucky to have both of them in connor you know what man yeah um i wouldn't be where i am without uh they're after really really putting a lot of time and effort into me and as i said i can't i can't thank them too men enough but look at all the experience they have max as well like the biggest stages man you're only at the beginning but like like your your background is now like mma it's like whereas a lot of people came in from being a black belt or a kickboxer or like back in the day now you're like fully fledged mixed martial arts it's just like you're so you're not not that you're so lucky but it's just like it's an amazing thing that you have at your doorstep yeah definitely and then look at getting the gold as well man it's like like your next few years are going to be so interesting that's why obviously we have to get you on the one to watch but i mean like the next few years are going to be unreal and even the way people are tuning in now listen to you only have to turn 18. like i'm sure there's like two girls be like geez he's smarter than me and then on top of that buzz mode the the actual the best version of max lally that you'll probably see is probably the pro version where you can throw the elbows on the ground you can throw the elbows and like especially if he's training dc at ccaa you know those elbows are coming you know you're out you're only probably getting even an amateur of uh mma fights probably only getting 70 percent of uh the best version of them because you can't you can't go full lolly on them definitely especially especially uh sure i've i've been out with hands i was in all in uh new york and before i actually kind of probably got into mma i was doing a lot of jiu-jitsu like a lot of jiu-jitsu and um when i was i was starting to slowly catch up on a few brown and black belts or something like as a blue belt i'm still a blue but people don't believe me when i say it but or am i really at the time i really really i was really really i still am but like in the same way just in a jiu jitsu perspective i thought like i was a really really high level and i decided to pursue mma purely because of calvin and calvary this is purely it's the only reason i decided to do mma i reckon if calvary didn't still be doing just as yet so it was purely and tell you what it was only reason i started mma because it's the only training that was happening don't think we were trained no one was doing jiu jitsu there you have it we thought we did well over the pandemic plasma max lovely might become a ufc world champion over no i'm sorry i'm sort of in shock right now i'm like just like i mean at 18 i didn't really know what the [ __ ] was gonna do i don't think in the last i think that during call of duty like i totally turned my life around and like really knew what direction to go and so like even go few years but like just knowing what you're doing it's it's a pretty safe option you know max yeah no it's i feel like that lots of you know hopeless nowadays i don't really know what they want to do you know what man so every day i wake up football just tank whatever i don't really believe in god or not but i believe that there's something there guiding me if that makes sense you know what man and i think that we call it spirit never thinks i'm bleeding you might think something weird like she's kind of blazing god no that boy thinks there's something there going to me in which way i need to go i think every day you believe in that's all you need sometimes that's it i feel like you have to believe in something you know yeah well you even look at the way your dad's like looking after you and what he's doing as well it's like you're looking up to people that are actually doing positive things for the community so i mean that's only good for you as well and you're you're you're just still developing as well um like can you say it's like obviously you had so many messages from getting gold on your birthday i'm sure some people didn't even know you won gold some people didn't know it was your birthday but what was the was the best message you received off anyone like what was the one message better be for either or tell you what it was actually text me my talent that you won that was the best thing what'd she say who's this the whole enjoyment was it was to see that after i left the cage i was on such a high and then i just started crying i don't even know where i started crying because i'm not i'm not crying you know i mean i'm not really an emotional person but it was the best thing was i got a photo taken of me or made me dark and it was the moment i left the cage and i just saying i'm lizzy i give me a hug bus and he just whispered in here he's like you're a world champion now and i just started crying and i don't know why but it was because i think it was because as you said phillips i felt so short on so many occasions i've had so many setbacks in jiu jitsu in everything just in life altogether and it was just that moment of time it was like it's finally after paying off but sometimes you do get into a bit of doubt you're almost like is it worth it what you're doing like i've sometimes i'd be like i'll be in scale and i sometimes just be sitting in school and i'm like i can't even focus in school because i'm thinking about what i'm going to be eating before trying and what i'm actually going to deal with training makes sense it's like getting yeah 24 17 24 hour seven you cannot mean just every single hour every minute every second i'm just thinking yourself how can i get better and what can i do to make myself better i think that's what you have to do to be great but that's the thing i think i think people who have never actually found something they're passionate about don't understand that obsession don't understand that that desire to thrive and do better and i wonder if that's something that you know is blatantly obvious in yourself and max is there any uh last thing you want to say before we have a quick look at ufc 265 this weekend i'd just like to thank two cultures sir again everything that they helped me all the time to put into me uh thank paul thank everyone out of spg trials now on sbg nation dca for everything they did to me for the trying to come and army teammates as well i wouldn't be as good as i am wouldn't be as motivated as i am without everyone trying i'm just really grateful at the moment for the people i have around me and i'm looking forward to the future because i feel like i really am only getting started so yeah we're actually we're actually we're actually very proud of you about like we actually said a message your dad as well saying like you should be super proud and everything just like this doesn't happen often like and also the olympics were there and we mentioned as well team around weren't actually out train with each other so if they're like our own board sort of sabotage just like it's a [ __ ] joke it was a joke they could stop you but you still came up with the gold you know but like there was literally like i think we did three sessions like three weeks we did sessions together and then it was like i think it was whatever bleeding the oil respond kind of body we said we couldn't train with each other so that straight away gives this advantage whether you have the countries funded in russia and all that gets sending them away like you know what man yeah and zoning lads bronze medal's only a max [Laughter] we were actually really lucky uh for conor to uh send everyone like not ever not everyone would do what he did and from that he produced the world champion and himself and for that i'm really grateful for connor and i thank i have endless endless endless amount of respect and i ever when anyone ever tries badminton to me i'll always stick up for him because what he did he sent away 27 athletes to represent orlando on the world stage and what we were doing was we're a lot of our sponsors trying to fund ourselves and i was always fortunate i have lots of good sponsors behind me like uh msl scouter dara o'malley yeah and like all them like and i'm just really really great for the people i have behind me but for kind of swooping and doing that for us it's just unbelievable because you don't see anyone else in the world doing that yeah you know i don't think it was for conor i don't think you'd be giving us a career it's just really it's just really really good to see for someone that his standard to someone that is like he's a big superstar across the world and he sees a bunch of lads and ladies trying on hard they want the sport they love and he decides to sponsor each and every single world and you know people can say what people can say what they want about him but his level of philanthropy in ireland is unmatched by any sports star of all time so like you can say what you want for that when it comes down to it he's got a good heart and he puts in the right place sometimes he's giving irish athletes a chance to do what they love and not have to not have their parents have to worry about putting their hands in their pocket to sort them out exactly exactly and that's i couldn't have the way i say with connor he's a proud irishman that's what he is that's how i'd explain him he's proud of his country and sometimes you get a few i feel dopes yeah yeah connor it's like he's gone away and he's fighting the best in the world and sometimes he's still here dope saying oh he's he's done this he's doing that this like the way i say is i will have respect for any man or woman that goes away and represents their country in the best way possible and i'll have respect for that because it's a big thing to do and it's something you should be proud don't know i feel like connor's proud gone away representing his country every 2000 votes and that's that's where the respect that's where all the respect comes from and on top of everything he's done for the sport and everything he's done for me because i am as a result i'm a world champion marvelous because of him you know what i mean in that type of way that that's that's a my first world toil as soon as i get every time we're going to remember i'm going to look at this medal i'm going to remember i'm going to say that's because of connor you're not man can you show us it can you show us a bit closer through the middle as well for people on spotify um yeah it shows the back as well playing the back now i'm going to get my name there engraved into it and i'm going to get a friend definitely definitely do uh speaking of you know first world championships and speaking of conor mcgregor ufc 265 this weekend goes down in houston texas it's for the interim ufc heavyweight toil between cyril ghana and derek lewis and max will go straight in with the main event and straight to you tell us what do you think of this boy and who does he come out with the win now i have a i love i love derek lewis who doesn't most entertain a person and it's almost is that entertaining i i i've never heard anyone say i don't like therapists he's just one of those fighters i want i want derrick to win realistically but at the same time i feel like that in france i feel like france mma is very underrated savages out there i mean but i feel like that derek i've seen a huge and pretty especially in this cardio in this past few fights you've seen i've seen such an improvement i think that he gets a fourth round knockout that's what i think i think that he's gonna get absolutely boxed around for three rounds an hour an hour he's gonna pull out something to knock your money basma what do you think i see i would like i think the ufc would like obviously want to see each other and then potentially put him against francis again like that that would like blow the roof off somewhere possibly in france or wherever you want to have it derek lewis like i agree like his cardio he's seen him moving now he seems more agile whereas before he sort of like just plodded around the place yeah but i think this could be a bit of a derek lewis and ganu sort of thing like just sort of not as entertaining now i don't even like saying that but i think dan he could just sort of meet his match sort of go back to the drawing board and build himself back up like in ghana literally 2.0 so that's what i got for derrick middle sport i think gan uh against uh nganu would be brilliant uh ross i'm gonna go three for three on derek lewis i think people need to put a bit of respect on that man's name if he wins via knockout against cyril gown which is the way he tends to win he'll have the most knockouts in ufc history and i think he's the man to be i think what's gonna happen is you'll probably see cyril again win the first two rounds he'll probably throw three or four times eventual strikes that derek lewis will do for that he's got that he's got that light switch in his hand and he will knock out sir again and he'll make that ufc heavyweight bells look small would you say would you say then if it would be lewis and gandu next yeah because john jones doesn't seem like he wants anything right now you know john jones and c bim yoga seems to be out in the cold with the ufc ross yeah all right and obviously there was the co-main event it was not being pulled for the women's bantamweight toil yeah okay yeah sorry i changed the screen so i couldn't see it but in the coming event jose aldo is taking on pedro munoz in the bathwater division uh ross will serve you uh jose aldo pedro munoz what do you expect from here i think they're still fighting the dog left for jose aldo i think over three rounds that suits him even more and he's a very hard man to be a three-round floyd i expect him to win the unanimous decision on this occasion i just don't think pedro munoz as good as he is at the elite the elite and i don't think he can beat jose aldo if you're not the elite of the elite what about you max yeah max max first of all where where were you or what age are you when conor knocked out jose aldo was uh well never forget it it was near christmas i remember december 12th i think it was yeah i remember it's clear as day and i remember sitting down man that looking at the christmas tree because that christmas tree was very early because that's the type of weird family we are and i remember sitting down and showing the [ __ ] there on this stack he was like yes hit the couch and let's jump back up and i was like yes i'll never i'll never forget that i was before conor um before he fought marcus brimmage in the ufc i've seen connor fight on cage warriors and before what against bone singer yeah they i remember just slipping the left hand boy i always watched anderson sales and jose aldo that was the two way i was used to watching the ufc because i knew the ufc was the elite elite i used to have yeah i can't remember the game but i always remember me my cousin cousin sean he had it on his xbox and it'd always be anderson said that he'd always be john jones and we'd always just be fighting each other on the xbox 360. and um that's when i really started watching anderson silva from anderson silva i started watching jose aldo i remember i'll never forget when he fought uh your your royal favor kick your leg off put my crotches you know what i mean and i knew he was up against the top house i although in my opinion the best as he was on unbeaten for over a decade and he did it towards the insects yeah that was that was unreal you know what's funny jose alda was younger than pedro munoz is he yeah foreign christ jose has been around a long time as well max how's it how's this one in how's this one and always feel it's a dominant three-round decision to uh although i feel like that aldo has three four i feel like what's going to happen is i know garbage coming down to it never mind gabriel's going to fly with yeah i feel like i'd love to see cody garber against how they are that was the fight i was hoping to see but i banned them wait if he's moving down the flyway i doubt that'll happen i feel like it was cruz stomach cruise versus jose i'll watch that i'd watch that i wanna i wanna allow to win and then fight tj dillashaw that'd be good i feel like i feel like tj beam um what i'd love to see uh in bantamweight i'd like to see sean o'malley step up on there for a kind of a high caliber opponent i like to see sean o'malley and alex i think i'll that would smash personally definitely possibilities that would be possible well here look and then we'll just look at one more fight this week as well that's not what we missed give you a quick prediction for that one so jose aldo and then potentially pointed a deal shot after uh max your division michael cass is taking on vince vicente lucay in the welterweight division what are you expecting from this as well luka is that is that the god it's called hanzo's no is it the handstone is it i've seen him haven't looked at luke woodley boy uh bravo token the last fight was yeah i remember yeah i do i remember that i'm actually not well done just to say it was just i just wasn't identified well like i had to say it was your division you have a gold medal there that says the options luke i think lou is too slick on the floor i think that we could kiss his he's really good wrestler really good pressure we feel like that he'd be kind of that michael chandler um charles oliveira that's what i think will be we think that we'll see that we'll see the wrestling exchanges and i feel like the okay i'll wrap them up with something i'm going to say second round submission boy darus basmal i think he is going to win this slide to be honest yeah yeah i'm going to agree with you as well yes sir do you see like yesterday probably wouldn't have taken his fight until he unless he believed he could win i think he's going to try and take him down that's simple like i mean majority time i'm wrong so it doesn't matter that's one more fight everyone has to watch out is watch out for is the main event in the prelims it's bobby green against raphael fizzyev like the physio is the definition of the tasmanian devil in the octagon yeah he is the matrix also also sorry a couple more shout outs uh friday michael conlon is taking on in the boxing and obviously the bjj owyers team and great britain team taking on usa on saturday uc 265 zone as well and shout out to claremores on sunday ever for everyone that's competing on that as well oh also shout out brian moore for winning um bellator oh yeah halaham for winning callback global and uh kiefer we're always with you man harlow uh over at bellator as well so they're only the last shadows i need to pull out max you have any shadows you need to give shout out to everyone that's with me shout out forever for the support the support i got over the past few days absolutely unbelievable couldn't even put it into words the amount of thank yous the amount of praise the amount of everything that i got is just absolutely blown away and i'm really happy i'm really really fortunate to have the country of ireland behind me and everything i do so and good luck to everyone fighting on clan wars as well i'm looking forward to seeing their fights max just the last words for yourself like what's the sort of plan for the next couple of months you just head down building up towards iu or fighting championships on september that's the plan that's it man just keep just keep doing exactly what you're doing you know your all the results are paying off that's what i say i see it one at a time um i'd like to i'm gonna actually be gonna be doing i think there's an irish nationals in the oil maps as well for uh the lightweight spot um so i'm gonna be pointing for that spot as well but um i'm just going to take it once at a time a few little goals that i want to complete before the end of the year um i'm going to go away for the naughty worlds in texas ibj jjf i don't know if we added bluebelt and um gonna do me absolute best to win um i wanted to go over texas and i want to try grappler go over with you ever heard of the tiger brook tiger brothers and shoot him uh andrew and william pacquiao legend and before uh i thought andrew take it in the pan am in 2017 as a kid and he submitted me really quickly and ever since then i've been kind of looking at him and he's after really making a big bang and jujitsu saying now he's flinting on all i know you're coming from shows i say still smash me boy just want to go over and get my opinion get with the two most more exciting kind of grapplers that we've been looking at recently of course we uh i'm really friendly with gary town and all them over there and well very happy that was very casual show army boys out in america yeah and i'll need i'll be uh made to new jersey as well pellegrino francis marshall all the lads down there as well i've been going off with america uh every summer since i'm about nine years of age and i've been training with these girls for a very long time as well so well max uh i think i think that's the best way to someone want to watch you are definitely someone to keep an eye on
