[Applause] All right, everyone. Um, I have here Miss Jess per F per F per F per F per F per F per F per F per F per F perbach. Yeah. Okay. Um, sorry for mispronouncing that if I did. U, first of all, congratulations. >> Thank you. >> Um, that was a that was a tough fight it looked like and you you were a you were a feisty animal in there. Um, talk us through it. What what was it like for you? >> The fight was like for you? >> Yeah. What What was What was the the fight like for you? >> Oh, uh >> Sorry, I just made a second interview. >> It's okay. Take it take your time. Take your time. >> Was nice. Uh good experience. I felt way uh way calmer this time. It was my sixth fight. >> Okay. >> Um uh I wish I had more strength, but uh >> Okay. >> Was cool. >> Yeah. Uh well, okay. So there was a considerable size difference. Uh your opponent was she was quite she was quite tall and she was quite long and you were able to get right inside of that and uh like is that something that you practice doing? >> Yeah, there was a game plan. Slip and whip. >> Yeah, it seemed to work very well. And I believe at one point in time uh you got a knockdown. Is that correct? >> Uh I can't remember. >> No, I I I think you did. There at one point I believe she was on the ground. I I missed it. I only saw her getting back up. Um, but several uh several several uh powerful punches uh coming from you. So like that that uh obviously that's something you practice, but like how do you prepare yourself for someone who is so much taller than you? >> Lots of overhands, tips to the face, high kicks. Um actually also a lot of cutting from down like big trees, cutting with low kicks and body work. I was sat next to one of the judges and they were commenting how well you were using your teps to uh kind of keep the distance, but then you were you're quick to shoot right back in. >> Yeah. >> Um you're you're very aggressive and um what was it that Derek the the referee he he was in there um there's a lot of clinching and then there's a lot of knees. Um what was happening there? >> Um there's actually no clinching on so she always tried to hold on to me. I uh just kept going. So, but normally it's one or two grip on the shoulder and then one knee and then let go and then afterwards you can grab again but it's no real clinching like in tie boxing. >> Gotcha. Gotcha. Yeah. Um she >> that's what pissed me off as well. >> Well, you use that to your advantage there. Yeah. Even though uh she had a hold of you, you you weren't letting go like you weren't letting up. Uh you you you're good with the knees and you're good with the hands to the body and the overhands like you said. Um, >> did did you have how did you feel kind of coming into this fight? Did you know much about your opponent? >> Uh, we watched a couple fights, not too much, but uh yeah, like just normal. You had actually way more fights than me, like double >> really. >> Yeah. >> Were you confident coming into this? >> Yep. >> Yeah. >> Excellent. I like it. Um, so was there anything special that you like to use to prepare yourself today? like you know kind of mentally >> I watched a lot of Japanese kickboxer because I like the style like fast fast hands lots of low kicks. >> Awesome. >> I watched Taco. I don't know if you know him. >> No. Uh I Yes, I do. Yes. Yes. Yes. Uh very good. Very good. Uh okay. So obviously you're a woman. So uh like what what's it like being a woman in combat sports? Uh it's tough to be honest, especially if you're an atoid because I don't have that many uh um like the many opponents. Yeah, >> opponents and training partner. >> But Fufu helped me out a lot in fight camp. Uh Paro, uh my boyfriend Dan. >> Awesome. >> And Ellis, uh I fought her before he came down for sparring. >> Right on. You know, Fufu warned me about this fight uh beforehand. said, "This is going to be the this is going to be one to watch for sure." So, and and I love watching the women fight in general because uh there's a lot of technicality um that women I think have over men and uh you definitely showed it today cuz you were like I said, you used your size was not a disadvantage uh in in the ring there. Um so, is there anything from today that you're going to use going on into the next one? >> Uh yeah, I keep I keep the body work. I would like to get more kicks in in general. >> Right on. All right. Look, I don't want to take too much more of your time and I appreciate you um talking to me. So, >> next time. All right. >> Have a good one. >> Oo.
