[Music] I show up the Irish okay what's going on guys and welcome to a brand new episode of energized Russ introduced a guest man we've got the face of the fight game it is Mr UFC it's the one and only it's putty the Buddy pimla putty how are you doing bud how are we the fellas long time no speak nice to be back board you know what I mean we always count that UFC London as an actual pay-per-view of the year so we couldn't not have you on man what a royal Journey it's been since you've arrived it's been decent on it lots of it I've totally enjoyed every moment of it it's quality buddy oh I think you know a lot of the times you know people talk about superstars in the sports but in terms of yourself like you were the first ever MMA fighters known to Paris Hill sports like what was that like because that is absolutely Epic it's great like the Bastille's families like I went in the office still with them and stuff like that and have it in the bathroom is just great you know what I mean people say oh what's it like where's my bar still something like that it's more like a family I mean it's not like wear it's absolute quality yeah once once you actually sign whip RSL myself and Russell like it's only a matter of time to Molly Gets on that as well yeah and then obviously she's a student as well now I'll be fine yeah it's actually incredible and then like to see you guys do that walk with Gary Neville throw Liverpool there the other day for Sky Sports I was like Sky Sports don't even cover him make and that's how big these two are now that like they're like right let's get Paddy and Mulligan like what's it like on an average day if you walking down the road Liverpool prior to the UFC I know you're in the UFC because I'm sure prior to the UFC everyone noticed you anyway but now you're in the UFC it must be non-stop yeah that's that's obviously different now like even though like from the time I said in cage what I just have to tell you about it broke my nose uh I'm a scout so we don't get knocked out ever since then I've been in pictures love and stuff but obviously it is a new Stratosphere now like I went out on a night out with me mates about five weeks ago just on the water and the Red Bull the diet Red Bull and um I definitely got about 500 pitches in like four or five hours oh the one thing that's definitely bear played into your favorites I know you're a massive Liverpool fan so uh you know being pitch sorted for BT Sports and stuff like that that's definitely yeah got to be a cool yeah that was quality that'd be in there being on BT and that's all about it but and he did these predictions man said Tina only got beat one they'll not like buying some Milan and we won't bring up at the last Fournier the late Manchester United yeah don't bring that up doesn't mean nothing especially when we play 37 different players in 90 minutes oh I don't know Jurgen cop said there's no such thing as a friend against man united but that's just what he said okay what what was Rihanna gonna get last year now there was no one else Liverpool that's yeah that's last year apparently you live in the past ah that was only a bit of Freddy about there but uh come here Patty UFC London why was it like the first time you walked out what are you expecting this time it was as I expected I don't know what I mean I was always gonna make the cloud go wild it was never gonna happen any other way and the next one's going to be bigger than better it's gonna be I can't wait that's gonna be in the next one people have to know what to expect then it's gonna be another unbelievable atmosphere um I can't wait to blow the roof off the Gap once again well you've been saying for a while that like you're literally gonna do everything you have been doing we've had you on while you're on cage Warriors and no senior explode it's just been like pure entertainment but like fully deserving as well like when you told the UFC and Dana that like you're gonna come in be the boy do you think he really expected you to be this much of the boy I don't know what no idea they knew what he was saying like but I don't think they expected it to blow up as much as it has but as you say I've I've believed in myself the whole time from whenever me faced amateur fights and one now I just I knew what was happening in the future and for the past seven eight years of being saying I'm gonna be the biggest star in the UFC when I get there and I've only had two fights left and I basically am I can't believe I think it's one of those things where in MMA you need a country behind you or you need a city behind you and like you have the people behind you the Way Conor McGregor had like the whole of Ireland behind them I think that's so vital I think that's why a lot of like you know the US stars are just like sort of defaults because they're just like another number like if you look at arasania like he's like representing Nigeria and New Zealand and I think because you've got the city of Liverpool which sort of work in the last City and like you're there a guy you know I mean I think that's what makes you such a superstar and when you know people see the creative reaction that you get that makes everyone go geez who the [ __ ] is this guy the fifth beat but I think because of me because of my fancy establishment and anti-modal that I have so many Irish Scottish and Welsh the Army are ridiculous yeah well you won't get any arguments for most hair about that the Irish movie over here as well Patty like like everyone is talking about you fighting on this card even my dad who like is not mad in our show but like he's like I told him you're coming on he was like that's unreal like yeah that's transcending over it yourself and Molly are doing some sort of wave that's almost like resembles the sbgr and Conor McGregor it rise as well so it's like pure entertainment like football fans we love it people always say to me like when when like photographers and cameraman and stuff like that come in the gym and they say RM yeah they weren't going to do stuff with like UFC fighter they go on I don't know much about that UFC the only ones in all Conor McGregor and party the body well like yeah well you're definitely the two biggest stars in Europe tell us a bit about next gen because like there's something in the water there at the moment not only are yourself and uh money leading the loin but like the lots and cage wires you know the king of France Adam Cullen and Nathan Fletcher the sale Poor Strangler are we back uh Luke royley Shamrock you have a plethora of talent there what's it like to train there on a daily basis um what makes the gym so special I've been saying it for years with the best gym in the UK by a mile by an absolute clumsy mile um probably the best gym in Europe if not one of the best gyms in the world um I've been saying I think years that and figures I've actually been saying don't worry he's all just all realize he's a law begin to know over the coming years how good of a coach Paul and Ellison are the man and how good we are as a team and everyone's starting to realize that as you said the NSA it's happening it's coming through and I don't talk [ __ ] love it's that simple yeah we want to give a shout out to Luke Riley and Nathan Fletcher competing on cage Warriors 141 on Friday the 22nd of July live in UC foipas so shout out to the loud from the team next year and obviously already I think to be honest I think all four of us are going to get first round not hot me Molly Luke and Nathan almost like and it's leveled up and I just don't see how any of our opponents can stop it tell us tell us this uh how much is Chris Williams add into your game then paddy yeah when it comes to me to say box and that's because like me and Nathan both do our boxing with Chris and yes I'll see improvements in our next fight you know what I mean but like obviously it's not just Chris me and me and Nathan also do a lot of cycling with Ella Sampson these are MMA cycling coaching this is gonna see some crazy improvements in this next violife feels like quite the family at next gen and we love next gen they're always really hospitable toast and you know your guys always make time for us and we always appreciate that as well exactly uh party also when the bill looked at this fight it's always great to see all the stuff that's done in the background you're obviously doing your podcast you're doing the Vlogs uh like the way you see connected come in the way Barstool are doing stuff and like the whole team are getting involved in that what's it like now in the gym the way like just those loads of cameras and stuff like is there do you feel like there's extra pressure added to you or do you drive in these situations I thrive that's like a pressure I don't even know what pressure it is what's pressure [Laughter] tell us this we spoke to Grand bowling in Belfast and he said that you've signed a a new new contract with the UFC and I'm not surprised I mean uh Pay The Man uh tell us this is this the first fight of that new contract and with that new contract now that you feel like you're being paid more your worth do you feel like you'll start trying to bump up into the rankings yet um I'm getting some I'm now getting left nearly what I'm worth you know what I mean I'm getting a substantial a lot more money oh you know I think I bring in millions and millions and millions of pounds so until I'm getting millions of pounds then I'll be it won't be paying me with and is this the first fight in that new deal yeah perfect and uh what about competition level will you be looking for someone around the top 15 after this this win or we just continue to take your time and you don't mind you'll fight whoever oh thank you everyone I'm not a Matchmaker whatever they put in front of me I'll fight that I'm in no rush to start fighting top 50 and it's like you know what I mean I don't need that I'll continue to make money first and uh Paddy obviously A lot's been made of uh Jordan Levitt's dancing coming into this fight uh when you win will you show him who the best dancer at 155 pounds is yeah never know my tender fucking's working on him but he's definitely getting tea bag when I heard his head he's got a twerk I just couldn't believe it like what like what did you think when you heard that as well buddy I believe he thinks he's gonna win last life it's crazy we can't finish his dinner so I I do feel like it's one of those things where anyone who's been brought over to the UK to fight a UK fighter is the factors being brought over to lose now I'm not saying that they're not talented but it's more like it's been geared up for the for the UK guys to win like that's that's what the fans want like that's that's what that's what that's what I want to see I want to see I want to see the O2 or erupt like it's the echo I genuinely can't win no because like everyone's saying now it's funny on sweat Seven's like oh Levitt's gonna get a UD he's gonna sit on top of them for three rounds he's gonna win this and that blah blah and then when I beat him everyone will be like oh you Paddy was meant to win anyway Paddy was always gonna win I mean I I'm in a lose-lose situation he's in a win-win it's great it's great for any opponents who comes to fight me a lot because no matter what I'm gonna get criticism and no matter what they're gonna get a they're going to get what they're called they're going to get props even if they lose yeah I do think you're expected to wins therefore you know when you're also probably expected to win what via finish and like if you don't get that finished like oh is it as good as people think he is but at the end of the day I mean you're on the field on your UFC room and it's all finished so like what can you do you can't do any more than that he's getting finished in the first lot know what I mean he's never been finished before and I'm gonna change that but he's only 10-1 he's not really forced anyone people are going on about that who else would be some saying he's good he's not he's [ __ ] [ __ ] are you looking at looking into the future are you looking after this card to start competing in the US like getting on the big pay-per-view cards next because like surely that's that's what the next planet has to be I would be in the UK for a long time after this one field I'll be fighting on pay-per-views [Music] I think I think you twitch together from time to time yeah yeah for those things from time to time he's actually a cool dude John to be honest yeah exactly and like you know what why not you know two superstars probably never going to end up in the same way class ever so like well not be here for anything keep saying how would you fight or Mario I fight two weight divisions above them how am I gonna fight him like those two should fight it's like me fighting [ __ ] young black witch or something normally mean if it's just not gonna happen chat I think uh well you know what that's when you know you may made a lot of uh you see a lot of photos back in the day and they were like with Floyd Connor I was like they'd be awesome steepe it's like it's very well yeah I mean like that's that's how it happens you know that's when you know you're getting the casuals interested when your name starts getting thrown in with the others superstars who aren't even close to your weight class well people keep saying oh how do we gonna call out after this fight and I'm like no one I don't need to call any one of people talk about me because I'm the boy know what I mean I don't mention anyone's name I think I'm gonna give any other little knit some publicity No Love I don't need to give any of these mushrooms publicity all these Cloud Chasers jump on my name like hand sanitizer boy I mean that's it uh Paddy tell us this um if when you do make that transition and start fighting the US for for the next while will you be splitting your Camp between San Diego and next gen or you'll be doing 90 your competition and then maybe yeah and I'll always do when he comes to Next Gen but we'll probably go out to America a little bit early on I mean to acclimatize to the time difference and stuff like that probably like to go out to Vegas like two weeks earlier so on a fight in Vegas but at the same time I don't want to take me coaches away from your teammates it's not it's not just me who fights a lot they've got a full team now so we need it it's as I say it's not it's not just me and Molly fighting that we've got Nathan Luke Colin Bonner Ben sham you know what I mean there's all sorts a lot today Connor Wilson Adam Wilson become happy taking the coaches away from him so obviously we're gonna have to get stuff sorted away it's not just us getting the the treatments because all the other ones need to sign in as well [Music] originally from Boston like can you tell us what sort of similar what sort of similarity or similarities they have with each other just both cool as [ __ ] proper coolers for if I had to pay them simple as that people had rap loud I mean it's pretty sad when I've met Daniel at these two I don't think you can be in that position but they're getting a bad reptile Paddy can you like someone's got a Vegeta yeah someone's got it a lot of girls without saying that I'm the same I'm the nicest kid in the world so you get on the wrong side of me but everyone seems to eat me people just love talking [ __ ] love putting words in your mouth it looks like Dana and Dave like they just seem like like a no is not an option they'll just keep going and keep going and keep going and push the limit and like look how look how they brought both companies so big it's a very inspiring to spell especially for myself and Ross doing a podcast turning from Norton now joining us before he pass it's just like keep pushing and see if I can go guys you know yourself how you look at you now you're a superstar Dave Clemens this next fight that's going to be quality yeah but he's after building an absolute Empire from scratch so like like you can't bought respect that and like yeah this sort of close toys him Dane Roy have is is an incredible to see um like you say when you become polarizing thicker people have something to say about you you know I mean like as soon as if you went in and knocked out uh Levitt and 10 seconds I'm like yeah but how would you do against Islam marketevia I mean they'd always there's always an if Portland or maybe to put in there again someone you don't like funny that's someone actually said that's because he has the um after the next fight why don't you call out Tony Vegas because they didn't like the top 10 I'm I'm not yeah but I think I think I think people are like re like jumping to go and they just want to see you in there with them oh they're super sizes they want they want they want to ride the you know Paddy Mania all the way to the top yeah well that's gonna laugh a lot but it's gonna take time I'm in the biggest weight division in the UFC the main weight division the shafts on Quake division you know what I mean it's like they shouldn't even just have a top 50 into the lightweights you should have a top 30. because there's that many good Fighters and where would you think you would rank in the top 30 nail Paddy I'd be in there like definitely yeah without no doubt about it like to be honest Paddy another thing what would be your most favorite moment so far since joining with UC there's been a lot of them but like if you had to pick just one out so far what would it be sure to be honest because of how sick the crowd went the cards and bananas or even getting some videos from after the show of people outside dancing on cars singing old parties about it next time we see you walk into a cage in the UK are you guaranteeing you'll be the main event after this show yeah 100 there's no way I won't be as I said I highly doubt how fights in the UK again until like 2025 when when Nathan do anfield that's the it's the only time that I can see myself fighting in the UK ever again to be honest only the one field I make too much money a lot of them not to they can't promote me I'm more like like nights didn't want me to fight on this card that they wanted me to fight on the others card but I wanted my time in the UK give everyone the chance to come and see me fight one more time exactly that's where you come this Paddy the body uh you'll see London on July 23rd it's going to be
