The Energized Show opens with an interview of undefeated PFL welterweight Eoin Sheridan after his knockout of Malachi Edwards on PFL Belfast, his first fight on Irish soil. Sheridan says he knew Edwards from Thailand and did not especially want the matchup, but trained hard, stayed switched on against a 6'4 opponent, and finished him. He describes a long pro career plagued by pullouts—roughly twenty booked opponents with only two fights materializing before PFL, including nine pullouts between June and December ahead of his Lyon bout—and says PFL contracts make matchmaking easier. He is targeting a return in September 2025, hopes for two more wins this year including a December card in Lyon, and plans to enter the PFL European welterweight tournament in 2026. Sheridan credits SPG Ireland, coaches John and Dave, and daily rounds with champions such as Carl Moore, Will Flurry, Kefir Crosby, Lee Hammond, and Derek Kelly. He cites Irish kickboxing titles, jiu-jitsu tournament wins, three years at purple belt, and a world silver medal in MMA, and says he wants devastating finishes, a future 3Arena headline, and eventually a move up toward light heavyweight. The episode then shifts to host discussion of UFC 317 and 319 title fights, weekend Irish results including Jordan Bradshaw's Ares debut, Octagon 71 wins for Dennis Frimong and Shamrock, and preview of Chaos Fighting Championships and Valor FC on Sunday 25 May plus upcoming Cage Warriors 189 in Rome.

Diana Joy. Here we go. It's time. Okay. What's going on, guys? Welcome to a brand new episode of Energize, brought to you by Orth King Competitions. Rough, are you intoxicated or something? Introduce the guest man. Today we've got the one and only undefeated mixed martial artist, PFL sensation, the one and only. It's El Sheree own Sheridan own my friend. How are things in sunny Iita the lads? What's happening? Thanks for having me on as always. Aita is great and chaotic just how I like it. Unbelievable. Unbelievable man. like bring us I know you're not beaten now, but let's go back to Belfast. H one of the best performances we've seen on this soil in a long time. You were looking so sharp in there. Unbelievable knockout uh over Malachi Edwards. Talk us through that performance because that was sensational. Yeah, man. Um look, Malachi, great respect to the lad. I know I'm from Thailand as I said before. So, wasn't particularly a fight that I wanted to take just cuz, you know, when you know somebody, you don't really want to have to go in and knock them out, but these things do happen sometimes. He would have done it to me if he could. So, uh, yeah, we made sure to take him out. Big lad, dangerous lad, 6'4 as well. So, uh, yeah, I needed to be careful in there and, uh, stayed switched on, trained very hard for the camp and I was happy to take him out. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. And tell us this. Obviously that was your first time fighting on Irish soil. How much did that mean to you? And you know I mean do you feel like uh you really let everyone know what what what the sheriff is all about? To be honest I feel like they already knew. So uh well if you didn't you know now anyway but uh man look I fought at the highest level. I've fought in the IMAF. I fought in the you know what I mean? I fought in the Europeans the worlds the World Cup. But, uh, it was f it was nice to finally get to go in and show everybody. And obviously the the crowd there was was a large crowd. So, uh, yeah, it was great to go in and, uh, just just do that, you know. Yeah, absolutely. Well, great win. As you said, if they don't know, now they definitely know. I I I just think this one was like a almost a bit of a coming out party for you type thing just because you know it was such a big card for the country and it was there was so many eyes on it and such a great opportunity and then just the performance like it was it was something that you've been telling the world that you're capable of for such a long time and it was one that really got show off all your skill set. Obviously you're a massive problem for this uh PFL welterweight division. When would you like to be back out? Um, yeah. So, I was speaking to John Cabinet about it there the other day. So, I think we're going to go for September. That's that's the goal. Um, look, if the card was a little bit earlier, like maybe it was August, I'd happily jump in. But, you know, me and the summer lads, I like to enjoy myself. But, uh, definitely the tail end of the summer, I'm coming there for another finish. Is that is that the card that they're planning on having in Dubai? Um, I'm not actually sure. They haven't they haven't named exactly where it is. I know there there's a fight again in Leyon in December. So, I'll definitely looking to be on that as well, but September is to be confirmed. So, I'm not actually sure where it is, but hopefully somewhere sunny and better than Belfast. Yeah. Well, lucky. Well, Belfast is actually pretty sunny though, to be honest. I've been up there, I don't know how many times, and it's been raining every time, but it was a it was like a it was like a summer's day every day up there the other day. So, uh yeah, happy days. Yeah, we left the last while. Yeah, exactly. Absolutely blessed with the weather. And look, you're well known in Dubai as well. So, if it isn't Dubai, not not a problem. I've been around them parts too, lads. You know what I mean? So, baby, do you know, funny enough, h there was a couple of lads that reached out to me recently about fighting over there. Um, won. It could have been. I won't say where. I would have had to get permission from the great PFL anyway, but uh you know what I mean. H it would have been nice to fight there as well. We've been trying that before as well. But again, lads, as you guys know, I'm a very hard man to match and it's been going on for a long, long time. And obviously when I when I accept these hard fights and I still I still get it done. Um, you know what I mean? It's I'm backing it up. Exactly. What What was the reaction like when you got that win as well, man? Cuz like we obviously we were talking to you a while ago like we we saw at K Legacy and you were like, "Watch out for me." Then you got the win, then you got the win in PFL in France, and now you got that win. Like what what's sort of the direction been like first of all from like like your sort of friends and family, but also the people working within PFL. Um yeah, look, I'm getting on very well with everyone in PFL and the staff and all. They're all loving the cowboy hat, the sheriff hat, I should say. You know, they have me in taking all sorts of pictures, doing all this kind of mess, and it's it's good crack, you know what I mean? Good fun. H it's nice for me family and friends because they know the level I'm at. It's nice to just reassure them. uh you know what I mean? When I'm in there, I'm I'm definitely a problem and I think we all know that. Um so yeah, man, it was a it was a good day. Um am I surprised? No. Did I feel like I I was going to get it done anyway? Yes. Um I knew I'd be sharper in this fight than the last one. Obviously, I was a year and a half. H for the Leon fight. H again, the guy was fighting big lad, tricky lad, but yeah, it was a fairly dominant performance there as well. But I just felt that yeah, it was nice to just go in sharp and uh and fresh and and you could see it then. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you definitely look fresh anyway. Um obviously not too bad. Yeah. Obviously uh as you touched on, you really struggled to actually get fights and people to actually sign on dotted line and even after they sign on dotted line to actually make it fight night and step across from you. Do you find now that you're with the PFL that won't be as hard as an issue? But obviously people want to fight on the PFL and it's a big show. Do you feel like now you have a chance that like you know when you sign on dott line and you sign for a date the chances are you are going to fight on the show? Yeah man 100%. Like um like I was 2 and0 before that fight and I probably had 20 opponents so far in my pro career. Do you know what I mean? I only got the fight twice out of 20. That's how many pull outs I've actually had. I had nine pull outs alone between June and December and that fight night in Leon. So like now at least people will fight. They have to fight. They're in the promotions. You know, obviously the level is high because there's very good fighters in there and I'm aware of that as well. Sure. The lad just beat theirs 4 and one. There's not too many uh 2 and 0 guys even taking fights like that in the first place. And then never mind when he he knocks people out. Three of his four wins by knockout and a big 6'4 beast as well. Do you know what I mean? So yeah, I'm just hoping they give me a nice 5 foot 10 lad so I can mince him in the next one. Tell us this, Sher. Uh obviously you said September and then I think it was maybe November, December in Leyon. Uh that would that would bring you to 5 and0 all going well. Uh no hiccups along the way. We don't we don't expect them anyway. Uh would you then look at a European tournament for 2026? Is that is that the goal to go on and win that? That's the plan, lads, for sure. Um, it's funny. I took a little picture with the belt there before me first fighting Leon and now I've won two. So, uh, we've got two more this year and again, I'm hoping for a nice devastating finishes and, uh, yeah, then I'll be looking at entering the tournament. I'm not positive when the welterweight tournament actually is, but uh, I know I'm definitely going to be thrown in there. Well, that's the way I look at. I feel like they decide the tournaments based on what fighters they have at their disposal. And you know, not only are you obviously someone out there who's like absolutely smashing finishing fights, you're also someone who has something a bit about them, has that uh you know, they're interesting. People want to see them fight, you know. I mean, like you're not bad in the El Mike uh post pre and post fight. Do you feel do you feel that from PFL that they're they're trying to push you as well? Yeah, look, I think I think it's everything's going perfectly and uh I'm happy that I'm putting on great performances for them. To be honest, like I'm not surprised. As I said, I know the the level that I'm at and I've trained with some of the best fighters, you know, on the planet for many years now. So, I think to everybody, it's no surprise that like why I'm getting the results like the level in my gym and and beyond that that I've trained like across the world as well with top level fighters. You know, I've been doing this for a long time. So, like uh before this fight, you know, I'm Irish kickboxing champion at professional level and amateur level. I think I think I'm gonna have to get that brown belt soon now, lads, as well. Do you know what I mean? Three years purple belt. I've won I've won tournaments in jiu-jitsu, you know what I mean? I've I've done a bit of everything now at this stage. So, uh I'm also a world silver medalist in MMA, you know what I mean? So, um you know what I mean? If this I didn't wake up like this. I had to work for it. Even my grappling there the other day, you know, I felt I actually only got a message about it today. Just says that that like, yeah, you can see the work I put in. You know what I mean? It's dominant. My grappling is dominant. So, yeah. Well, definitely not a striker anymore. Owen, do you like foresee yourself one day headline the tree arena like for a title with PFL? Well, I hope so. That would be the goal. Obviously like Lazuk, we all know it's a tough game. Do you know what I mean? you're fighting against extremely high level lads and h you know there's a lot of things that can go right but there's also a lot of things that can go wrong but uh as always I'm going to train as hard as I possibly can for every fight going to show up and uh yeah I'm going in with the mindset that I'm going to dominate and that's it I'm going to inflict as much damage as I possibly can on my opponent in the time I have to do it but uh I'll win by whatever means necessary whether that's grappling or striking or whatever but yeah hopefully one day I can h headline a card with the Sheriff H. absolutely come out on a horseback. That that that would be that would actually be something else. So make money. I know you boys will be in the front row anyway for that. Wouldn't miss it. Wouldn't miss it. After anyway. Yeah, of course. What's called uh I'll fly the plane. Cheryl, tell us this. H obviously you touched on it. Uh you know, you put in the hard work in the gym and you know what I mean? you know, this didn't come from nothing. You know what I mean? You work hard for this. Tell us who who are the people in the gym who are who are really really helping you develop and who are putting time and effort into you, man. There just like just the level in the gym overall. Obviously, all me coaches like the likes of John, Dave, all the lads, but just the level throughout SPG Ireland is just so high. The likes of Carl Moore, Will Flurry, Kefir Crosby, Lee Hammond, like you know, Derek Kelly, the list goes on. There's just so many lads like that that I train with daily that are just like killing it in their own promotions wherever it is, do you know? So just train with them that and like they're all champions as well. So, you know, we all help each other get better. One someday you can you can do well against them, others not so well. Some days you're the hammer, some days you're the nail. You know the story. But what what's important is on fight night, I go in fully charged and h Yeah, I'm there to do damage. Yeah, absolutely. And I suppose uh given your size as well, it does give you that bit of leniency that you could be training with, you know, a short and stout wel, but you could also mix it in there with the likes of uh Will Flurry and Carl Moore because you have that height. Do you feel like that gives you lots of different looks at all times? And I suppose if you're getting grappling rounds in with guys who are, you know, 30 kilos, haven't you? That that's got to that's got to help when uh you have a lighter body on top of you instead. Yeah, man. And look, this has been going on for years. Like h like even over the lockdown, nowhere else was open. There was no fights. There was nothing. But I was still in wrestling. No. Well, believe it or not, I was still in IA too back then. I went I just went anyway. H there's always time for that. But I Yeah. Well, look, maybe one day we might run a promotion out there, but I need to speak to PFL and make sure I get a big cut of it. You know what I mean? But h No, man. I've been training with these lads for a long time and look you can see you can see that I'm particularly strong for the division. People think when they get a hold of me they might be able to toss me around a bit but they're h they get surprised quick as the old saying goes too long too strong. Yeah, absolutely. Definitely definitely definitely shows. Tell us this. Uh oh. Do you feel like you're if you're not in the European tournament like you're you're the fight at the welterweight division to get at the moment? Like you're the guy who people are looking at being like that's that's the big fight. That's the fight that's going to get people talking. Do do you do you have a feeling like that's the the talk of the town at the moment that you're you're the welterweight to fight in Europe? I definitely believe so. Like I bring the eyesh and I definitely I bring a bit of hype there as well. Do you know what I mean? So yeah, let's see. Let's see what's next. I'm ready for anyone. Yeah, absolutely. And I suppose the the welterweight world tournament's going on at the moment. I know that might be a year or two down the line, but are you looking at those guys and you know comparing yourself those guys like your uh Keshov, like your uh Jason Jackson and all those guys. Look, I heard the commentators saying saying it for sure. They're saying that they like they can see me going past the the the European division. But uh yeah, for now we'll focus on what's in front of us. H I don't really look too much into my opponent. I just focus on me own skill set and just getting better every single day. Um when the time comes, absolutely throw me in with whoever like 6'5 welterweight with power, you know what I mean? You're whoever you are, you're in trouble. Do do you see yourself one day going up to middleweight as well only or like are you just like welterweight that's where that's my home? Lad, you see the breakfast I had this morning? Pancakes, waffles, full fry, about two coffees. You You name it, lads. I don't know how long I can even make this welter away for. So, I'm trying to make something of it while I can. So, so potentially light heavyweight. Yeah. Yeah. Let's go. Let's Let's take out as many welters as possible. Then we'll look at middleweight and then Yeah. I think ultimately I will probably end up at light heavyweight when I fill out a bit. I'm 30 now. So, I have another another few years of fighting in me, lads. I'm still still young enough. Like, do you know what I mean? Taking no damage as well. As well, like most people have. I've taken no damage. You can probably count on one hand how many shots I've received. Yeah. I I actually think that was the most impressive thing about your fight. Like, always knew you were good, but like obviously because you're struggling to get matched, it was always hard to like see where you sat in a division because you're like you judge most people on who they beaten, if that makes sense. And I think when you went out there and like look, I'm not going to lie, like all respect to Monica Edwards, like that was a one-sided beatdown and like, you know, I mean, you actually ran through him and that that makes it exciting for fans to watch like ourselves cuz you're like, right, well, like where is his limit? You know what I mean? Or where where is he at at the moment? And like that's what gets people excited for going forward. And that's why we're like, right, let's talk to Sharon. I want to like see what's next for him and who he's going to fight next and when was him back out there because at the end of the day like that was a flawless performance. Um that that you came out there totally unscathed and like it it was basically a perfect fight week for you. showed up, made way, made noise, went in there, clinical finish, you know, good good on the mic after the fact and out and I beat the party in Ocean Beach, not a bother. They're going to be on the fight shorts for the next camp. Well, listen, we've already been speaking about that as well. Do you know what I mean? So, I'm here networking, doing business as always. But, uh, yeah, as you said, as some people have said here as well, all respect to my opponent, but I went through him for the shortcut. Some people are saying I took no damage in the fight. Would that always be the case? Maybe not. Do you know what I mean? Like it's, as I said, it's a full-blown fight. I was ready for a 15minute fight. But yeah, I know the power I have. And not only that, lads, I can chain attacks together one after another between jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and uh striking, you know what I mean? I can I can attack from everywhere. I haven't even got to show off a quarter of my skill set yet. So yeah, we're going to see what's to come in the next couple of fights. Yeah. Well, that's that's why we're looking forward to seeing you be being like put out there on a big show consistently like like obviously they wanted you on that France card and now you're after you're after going getting a viral KO there in Belfast and it's like right this guy has definitely got something about him like let's keep using because uh that's what Irish fans want. Even even on that Leon card like he was the only lad on the whole card from Leon. Do you know what I mean? So when I went in there, everybody hated me in there. It was kind of nice actually. So, you know what I mean? Just to silence that crowd as well. Like that was a even Dave said he's like there's no there's no fighters that have done that. Do you know what I mean? I've just gone out there in a second fight against 10 and a half thousand against them and uh and still dominated the fight. Exactly, man. Yeah. Baz, I'm absolutely bulling for it. Um so September then we'll see we'll see the sheriff back in the saddle. Is that what we're saying? That's the plan, lad. That's the plan. We still there's still a lot to to sort out in the meantime, but definitely September I'll be looking to go again. I'm not even sure the dates or where it is, but yeah, you know, I'll be there. There you have it, Basma. One of the best prospects in the sports, making statements, um, showing up fight night and big finishes. You can't beat it. H El T on Sheran. What a guy. Basmo. Exactly. Owen, is there anything else you want to say to people tuning in? I can't actually wait to see you back in action. Lads, I just hope you tune in and enjoy me fights. I'm going to do me best to put on the best performance as I possibly can in the next one. But uh for now, I have a big party to attend tonight. So, I won't say anymore. Love it. Cheryl, enjoy the rest of your day, bud. And thanks for your time, lads. Appreciate the call. Thanks very much and speak soon. Diana Joy show up the Irish. So Ros Sheran, your favorite sheriff. Yeah, what a man. He's just fairly entertaining and uh obviously he's got the fight skills to back it up. So always great to have it on. Um yeah, PFL Belfast was a massive success on all measures and yeah, look uh hopefully PFL come back to these shores sooner rather than later. Yeah, exactly. And if you are new to the channel, make sure to like and subscribe. And if you want Wayne Lker to walk out own Sheridan at his next fight, make sure to like it as well. Ross, you're up the ocean Beach. PFL Ocean Beach. There you go, man. Uh Ross, we have we're going to have to move into the world of UFC at the moment. Dana White went Instagram live as always and announced three massive fights. Uh the first one being at UFC 317, Ilia Depurya moving up to the lightweight division to face Charles Olivier for the world lightweight title. Ross, what you make of this fight, man, and for the vacant lightweight title? Yeah, I don't know what the bigger news is. Is it that Islam's going up to fight for the welterweight title or you know that where he had to vacate the lightweight title? Um I'm somewhat surprised it's not an interim one. I didn't think I knew Islam was teasing going up to 170. I just didn't know it was going to be a permanent move and that's what it looks like it's going to be. Um look obviously um Tapora is going to say he chased uh Islam out of the division and look obviously it's a massive test for Tapora. Um Charles Olivera is absolutely no slouch. He's got unbelievable standup and obviously he's got the best jiu-jitsu the UFC has ever seen. He's got more submission wins than anyone. So it's going to be a very dangerous fight. But I don't No, I just feel like Tapora moving up. Those hands look like they are absolute cement blocks. Um I think uh I think Tapora is going to get knockout in this one. H if I'm perfectly honest, I don't know. Thoughts? Look, Tapori is undefeated and Charles has lost a good few times, but it like there has been talk about will Toporia's power work well in a weight division above. I think it will. I think the the difference of 10 pounds isn't monumental when I feel like Tapora is a similar size to a lot of the lightweights already. So, I felt like he was a big featherweight. So, I feel like he'll he'll carry the power up there quite well. And if anything, if he does lose a tiny bit of power, I think he'll be faster. So, you know what they say, speed kills. Exactly. Yeah. Well, look, it's going to be an interesting fight. I think we're both on the side of Tapore at the moment. arguably what like one of the top three biggest stars in the organization right now. Yeah, he's absolutely mustsee. Um like I would say right now he's probably the most must-see UFC fighter on the card. He walks around like a superstar. He is a superstar and I feel like his star is only on the rise as well. I feel like him winning a a belt in a second weight class, people are going to talk about him um more and more and more. like look, it's very rare that any football club does a social collab with uh a UFC fighter, let alone Real Madrid. So, his uh star power is absolutely ginormous. Yeah. So, we're definitely looking forward to that. Also, and he's part owner of a promotion as well. W FC, you know, I mean, like very very few fighters at this stage of their career have all that going for them. Yeah. No, he does. He like it's undeniable. That's why hence he's top three uh one of the biggest top three biggest stars in the UFC at the moment. Uh Ross also announced in the card Plantosia is defending his world flyway title against Kar France. These two fought before on the ultimate fighter. What do you expect from this? Cuz like Panto like who do you think could defeat Pantosia at Flyway? I don't know. I feel at the moment Pantosia is probably the most underrated champion on the roster. Um he's looked very very dominant since dropping down the flyway. I still think like the best chance to beat Pantosia is Brandon Moreno and Pantosia's beaten Brandon Moreno on multiple occasions. I just feel like that's the person who's given him the closest fight so far and I'm very very interested to see it. Now interesting enough on this card um like below that you also have Brandon Roy Val versus Manel Cape. So obviously they're looking at if uh if something were to happen to Kai Car France, they have the backup there ready to rock. And I do think uh Minnel Cape is someone who could fight for the for the belt sooner sooner rather than later. And then like there's always that question, you know, Muhammad Mave is on the outskirts of the UFC. He he has a fight coming up on Munir Laziz's um 971 promotion, you know, and if he came back into the UFC tomorrow, like he'd be the biggest threat to Alexander Pantosia, you know? No, I'd agree with that. Well, if uh is do you think I know Mighty Mouse Johnson's retired. Do you think he would be out to defeat Pantosia or do you think he's just a bit too long in the tooth? I I think he'd have a very good chance of doing it. It's more he hasn't fought at 125 in a long time. He was fighting at 135 over 1 FC. But like he's definitely got the skills to pay the bills. Um, so I could definitely see him doing it, but I just don't think the UFC would pay him the amount of money it would take to actually get him in there, which is uh unfortunate. Also, shout out to Nata Moano on the card. So, if uh if anyone pulls out the lightweight title fight, Money Mo will be back in there. Part two, baby. Then, uh, the last big fight that was announced from Dana White was for to headline UC 319. Drius Duplaci is taking on Ca Kamat Chimayv for the world middleweight title. Ross, what you make of this fight, man? Oh, it's it's very rare that you have a fight with someone who's a champion who, you know, has gone on and like been pretty pretty like impressive as a champion and like he beat Sean Strickland, he beat Israel Adisagna and then you just sort of feel that at the end of the day like he defended his belt and just feel that you might have I don't Oh, does feel is he going to run through him? Like is is that is that is that the sort of the consensus? I feel like Hamzach may have is the guy in the UFC, let alone the guy on middleweight and like the way he went and ran through Rob Whitaker, you're looking at seeds despite the fact that he's won the belt, defend the belt. You're almost asking will he last the round? Do you think so? Yeah. Well, like just based on that Rob Whitaker performance, I'm like, why couldn't Hamza just do that straight away to trick a duplic? I know, but like see the way it didn't he beat Kamar Usman by decision. Yeah, but obviously Kamaren has very very good wrestling. Yeah. You think you think he's actually just going to steamroll him? I think there's good chance he will. What? Yeah. No, I'd love it if he didn't. I'm a big fan of Dick's dupacy, but yeah, we'll see. You think it's Look, I know like I know ever since like I feel that's disrespectful to say that's why I was sort of hesitant in saying it. Like I mean I was I was trying to be nice about it, but like at the end of the day, Hanzach Barman has been fairly dominant against everyone. I know man and like also like that fight was uh fairly short notice the fight as well. So when he's had chance to perform full camp yeah I just think is the guy. Do you think Chamay will like stick around the division then? Oh yeah I I think he will. I also think it's uh strange that this fight is in um Chicago as well. I think that's a bit of a an odd one. Like I I thought I thought was struggling to get into the US or something as of as of like I'm not surprised. I wouldn't let that fell past customs. Is like the ultimate Bond villains on there. What you think they should have had it in South Africa? Yeah. Well, like maybe maybe not against Chamayv, but if they're ever going to go to Africa, they should go to South Africa with Dick Stupatis. I know, man. Do you see picking odd locations for certain events? Um, I'm surprised they didn't pick this one in like Abu Dhabi. Yeah, Chicago is very interesting. Like Bal Muhammad was like begging for that. Yeah, he can be the co-main event. He could be the co-main event. You're right. Yeah. Although when Balad's getting like he'll be the headliner of the prelims. Well, that's a former world champ, man. I can't believe when he went on the scales, like your man who was reading the scales was like, "Who are you?" It's like, "Mate, this is my card." Like, jeez. Oh, stop. Stop, mate. It's It's the It's It's the Maxi charm those Australians have. Falcons and JDM both train with Maxi for a few weeks and all of a sudden, UFC champions. Bel hanging out basically. Um, yeah. What's when V growing back to Mullet Ross? Which fight do you think is better? Topuria versus Oliviera or Dri versus Chimov? I think cuz we so rarely get to see Chayv. I'm more interested in Drias versus Chayov. Yeah, he is sort of like some sort of goblin that's like lives in the sewers and just comes out and just people I thought I was harsh but like god lives in you got me going your team me up man he's he's a scary dude mate yeah like my cousin actually used to play football like Astro football with him in Sweden crazy yeah you won't you won't like when he says he's going to smash you like you know he's he means it also darn Orange Hill got the win so against Darn Hero. So I would be inspired by that. That's exactly it, man. That's exactly it. Oh, the energy show. You never know why you're getting in this thing. Ross, anything else to say about the UFC? When is Jon Jones fighting Tom Asmo? Man, you know the story. You've his number. Yeah, man. And I think that's the I I think when people were looking for UFC 317 main event, International Fight Week, I think people were expecting that. But to me, like not not a knock on International Fight Week or anything, but I I just feel like if you're not going to International Fight Week, it sort of feels like the same as any other pay-per-view really. Let's be honest. The card the card isn't like mad. Yeah. I I feel like they used to do like such a good card in international fight week and it was such a big deal and then like there was actually always like a fight night the night before uh to pay for you and like people were like oh it'll be class like if you can't get on that try get on that you know what I mean it was uh a massive deal but uh I feel like there's no massive difference like if anything like I nearly find Porier versus Holloway more like more intriguing just because it's Porier's retirement fight feel like there's a lot more on on the line with that and like Holloway's never beaten Porier. So like I feel like that's that's a main event with a story as opposed to this one. I feel like this one with uh Islam vacating the belt, you're like yes, they'll be the champion, but like are they the best 155 pounder in the world, you know? No, I get your point. I I think like the UFC is going through like some sort of transition at the moment. Like that's why I'm enjoying watching more like your cage warriors events or like the way PFL were just in Belfast or like the actual Irish domestic scene. The way like honestly you just want to watch the Irish fight. Like that's that's what you want. You want the Irish to be succeeding. Yeah, that's it. You know, who would have guessed, man? But also like uh I suppose with Islam moving up, we should probably touch on the welterweight division as well because uh obviously the main event winner of the weekend was Michael Morales. He knocked out Gilbert Burns in the first round. Um, you obviously predicted that. Did you expect him to do it so clinically? No, I I I thought Burns would put up I always feel a harsh, but put up more of a fight. I thought it'd be a bit more I don't know, just thought like it wouldn't look so so handy for Michael Morales to get in there and do it. Look, I've always been really high on Michael Morales. I always thought he's a a top talent, but like obviously this was a massive step up in competition for him. H he's fighting Gilbert Burns who's a a former title challenger. He's easily easily like top 10 welterweight and look he actually just blew through him to be honest and that him to 18. You know what's that one off Hamat or oneoff Shafkat Rakmanov's uh finish like he's got 14 finishes as well like fellas on fire that's a a first round TKO win over Neil Magny and now Gilbert Burns in a row so for me like he's definitely one to watch and look the UFC like if I if I were to pull up the UFC rankings here yeah at welterweight obviously the new champion uh in tow uh Jack Del Madena. So I don't think Michael Moral is going to fight him next. Uh Blal Muhammad number one ranked fighter. Uh he might be off for a little bit. Sean Brady like my opinion number one contender at the moment. H Shafkar Rakmanov sort of unknown return date. Leon Edwards just lost Shawn Brady. So that could maybe be uh some of Morales fights next. Uh Kamar Usman is going to fight Wakeim Bookies. So that's five or seven. Imachado Gary that's who Michael Morales said he wants to fight next. To me that fight makes sense. Two young guys in the division going toe-to-toe. I mean even whoever loses that like I wouldn't see their stock going down too much. And then like number eight is Gilbert Burns. Number nine Kobe Cton like two guys like he well Morales just beat Burns. Don't really think would take that fight. But number 10, I think, is a a fight that I definitely watch. I think it'll be entertaining. Jeff Neil versus Morales Baz. I think uh that's another fight that I think would happen on the feet and people would be interested in. No, no. I think that's actually a great show to just continuous like to not just totally put Morales in like top five contention, just grab gradually just move him up the board. So, I think Jeff Neil would be a good test now. I think he he'd go through Jeff Neil like like I know Ian like being in Machado Garry right now I know you're looking up at Shavar Rakmanov but like after a win like that from Morales like you have to be like looking behind your back now as well. Yeah. Well like look Morales is going to be a massive uh massive name in that division going forward. He's very very young. I think he's like 25 at the moment. So it's not like he's going anywhere anytime soon. So I I do feel like a win over Jeff I feel like put it this way if he goes in and beats Jeff Neil first round TKO or whatever or even if he just finishes he would have finished Magny Burns and Neil one two three you know I mean like then he has to fight in the top five and I actually think like if he beats Neil maybe him versus Shavcat next and get back in there. Well that that's what I was going to ask you. What do you think of that potential fight? Cuz those two are literally probably the scariest guys in the division. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the the two guys undefeated longest undefeated streaks and they're both finish machines, so I'm here for it. You know what I mean? I think they'd be what, like 38 fights between the two of them and like 35 finishes or something something along those lines. Like that's absolutely unheard of. So yeah, I wouldn't want seeing those two throw down in the future. But I think a Jeff Neil to keep Jeff Neil busy and Morales busy would be a great show. It could be a great like sort of uh opening fight for any pay-per-view card as well. Yeah, give me a sec. We put a Morales is unscathed there. So, like why not throw him on the Holloway versus uh Porier card. That's That's not a bad show. Um we put a poll out on the Energized Instagram page. Make sure to check it out if you haven't. But uh the poll we put out today was who is next for Michael aka Michael Morales. Um between Imachado Gary and Jeff Neil Ross, what do you think the current voting votes are? I'm going to say just cuz we're Irish. I'm going to say I Gary's winner. What percent? 76. 61% for Ian. 39% for Jeff Neil. There we have it. There we do have it. for us. Um, anything else you want to say on the UFC and why the Thomas fight against Jon Jones has been announced yet? Cuz you know what, it's actually getting sort of boring even looking or discussing this fight to be honest. Yeah, but I think a lot of it has just come down to Jon Jones really. He's the one who who holds all the cards. Like if Jon Jones says yes, tomorrow that fight is made. It's not like Tom Asol is not asking for that uh fight. So, it basically just comes down to Jon Jones and when we'll see Jon Jones next, uh, unfortunately, and like I wouldn't be shocked to see Jon Jones vacate the belt and end up fighting someone else just because he wants. So, I feel like if you force Jon Jones into a corner, you know, he's not going to go left, he's going to go right type of thing, you know? So, I feel like that's the way it is. And then last question on this as well, Ross. If and or when they announce that fight, are you more excited to see that fight over Max Holly versus Porier or Topori versus Charles or DDP versus Chamay? Yeah, I think I think that's that's the fight that would have me up at 5:00 a.m. watching it if there was any fight in the UFC this year. No, that's fair. That is absolutely fair. And we'll look at what happened over the weekend for the Irish fighters. Ross, Friday night under the lights of Paris, CMax Jordan Bradshaw got the decision victory uh at Aries. Ross Jordan Bradshaw answers the pro ranks. Now he is 1 and0. Yeah, look this is a long awaited uh debut. Jordan Bradshaw have been booked for number of Irish shows. The fight never happened in the end. Um he got a big shout on to fighting Ner. So shout out to Bario Callahan um from Alpha Fight Management. That's uh very impressive for uh someone to make their debut on Aries. He went into his opponent's back garden and he beat him convincingly. Um fair play to him. Uh obviously Alex Sullivan was absolutely delighted with the performance and so was Jordan. That's a huge win on a huge promotion for for your pro debut. And look, I think the sky's is the limit for Jordan Bradshaw. Let's see him back out there again in the next couple of months. Let's see him constantly improve on those skills. And look, he's someone who had a lot of fights on the amateur scene and it looks like those large number of amateur fights have really paid off for him since turn. I'd agree with the amateur record he had as well and how consistent he was and the way he's now in the gym looking the like Keith blowing up Alex back. Um like I'm sure he's like chomping at the bit to be like see are not missing at the moment. No they're not missing and then well look Jordan congrats and we can't wait to see you compete again and maybe it'd be a good thing for him to stay on Aries for the time being and just keep building his name up there. And see, that's the thing. If you if you're one person fighting on a big show, you're going to get all the attention. So, absolutely. And that was good for us to be like, "Right, what's Aries doing?" And look, look what happened. Then Ross on the Saturday night, we have to talk about this. Octagon 71 went down in Munich in the BMW Park. Dennis Fong and Shamrock both fought on the card. Now, the thing is, we wouldn't overly cover Octagon unless the lads are on it. But the way these lads are like put together as if they're like Anon Deck for they like cause an absolute scene for Octagon. They get like massive views, massive clicks, massive interactions. They're basically selling the card and then they go out and both win again. Like this is like gold dust for Octagon. Yeah, absolutely. I'm trying to think the It's like they're um Billy going on the road dog. Like they're they're going into Germany and they're telling everyone to suck it. You know what I mean? Like the New Age Outlaws like Yeah. Yeah. Like Oh, the Generation X. Oh, no. I think they were the New Age Outlaws, weren't they? The Generation X was like the the bigger group. Yeah. The bigger group. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But like uh these two go in, cause ions, get W's, and leave. And yeah, look, like like at the end of the day, they make an awful lot of noise. They get a lot of eyeballs on them. Love them or hate them, they make you want to watch them. And uh both guys went out there and got their hand raised in two very tough fights as well. Um like the the fights didn't go 100% their way. Obviously, Shm picked up a decision win and uh then Frim Pong picked up a third round TKO. H I think Shamrock is now free agent again. So, uh, Oxon would want to get the wallet out, uh, otherwise they might lose a whole of Shamrock. And look, Deon Frimong, I feel like, is constantly proving his haters wrong. I feel like a lot of his career, people have just felt he's a big mouthpiece and, you know, they disrespect his skills, but, uh, he showed a lot of heart in this fight and he went out there and got the finish. I think his record's up to six and two now. Um, and he's looking like a really top prospect. Uh, also I think uh he's he's married now and has a kid. So I feel like I feel like that's definitely matured him. Um, but not to a level enough that he's not entertaining. Oh man, he Dennis is pure entertainment, man. He he sort of he's in that same sort of category as Brian Manning. Just like the entertainment like and people want to see what they have to say. And yeah, he he calls out people just enough that you're like brilliant but not so much that it's disrespectful. It's like that perfect mix. Yeah. And you want to see them fight as well. And it was and Oxon do a great show. I think Brian Manning would fit in there like like just perfectly like this. The thing about like all watching all these different organizations, what do they sort of let you do or what do they bring? There's such showmanship with Octagon that like Yeah. You have to be able to show off your individuality. Yeah. It's Oh, no. It's great. It is great because like with when some some organizations like for for instance Jack McGuire was fighting over in some random event in France and like the stream was absolutely terrible like you know what I mean but like then you see this obviously Octagon have a lot more budget don't get me wrong but like when the way we tune in to Irish fighters every week like like when you see that amount of showmanship it it makes it like so much more enjoyable process you know. Yeah. Get Jack McGuire back on Octon. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly, man. He won on Noctagon last time. Like, do you know what I mean? Anyhow, moving on. Ross, that was that was great from anyway. Yeah. Brilliant. Yeah. Then, uh then uh that was that was the buzz over the weekend. This weekend, Ross, there is unfortunately no UFC. That is it's um we're there. We're there every week. you just think it's happening again, but it is not happening this weekend. Um, PFL Paris was actually meant to be on that was canceled as well. And GFL was meant to have a double header this weekend and they both got cancelled, Ross. But what is going down this weekend is your fighting championships, Deky Malinan's very own promotion back this Sunday, the 25th. Ross, you can't wait to see another Deki show. Yeah, look, um, there's some great fighters on this card, but like all Irish promotions, there's good fighters on nearly every card. So, did you want me to run through the card or do you want to is there certain fights you want to touch on first? Well, like obviously probably the people the the fight people definitely want to see is Keem Cardan taking on Ben Madden again in the flyweight division. Yeah, obviously flyweight title on the line. H Ke won the first time these two fought. Ben Martin looked excellent at Akum and becoming their flyaway champion. H this is one that I think uh fight fans will be in for a treat with. Uh really really good fight uh on the cards there. So great to see both guys accepting that fight. Um next up we have Jared Ryan defending his bant title against Jason Shreenan. H Jason had an absolute brilliant year. Um he fights out of ZKJ Johnny Kors gym. Um Jared Ryan is one of the most active fighters on the island. He fought uh Fur just four there recently. So I'm looking forward to that one as well. H there's a few other fighters on the card who I do want to sort of give some shout outs to. Henry Lea fights out of Semac that he's fighting against uh Ran Dun Levy who we saw recently fight uh on Akuma against Oliver. So that's a brilliant fight. A winner there could definitely get a bantamweight title shot next. Uh Russ George uh is fighting against Paul Fitzgerald. Paul Fitzgerald is always an absolute bangers and uh Russ George is I think he's six or six one seven and one at amateur. So that's going to be an absolute class fight. Um Sean Brazzle out of Tim Rhino was fighting Shay Donny out of Yoda Martial Arts. That one looks actually really good fight. And sorry there's one or two other people who I've saw recently. Uh Ryan Dawn out of SPG is fighting on a catchweight against Eric Marco out of CMAC. That that's another fight that people probably aren't aware of, but uh I'm definitely high on. Uh let me see. There's also one or two uh women's fights on the card. Megan is fighting Louise Brady from MMA Cork. H and Alish Nunan is fighting on the card as well. And don't think she has an opponent at the moment. So hopefully she gets one. So, there's a few female fighting on the card as well, which is always good to see. But, uh, yeah, I'm really looking forward to some of these fights. Uh, there's some great bangers on the card there as well. And I think, uh, the Mitri uh, Pintelli from Phantom, sorry, I just didn't want to bush that name. Uh, the lightweight title is supposed to be on the line if he can get an opponent. So, that'd be cool if we get an opponent for him. Exactly. Decki always puts on a good show. That will be going down on Sunday. And also there is another organization going down. Andy Young's Valor FC is going down on Sunday as well with plenty of novice competitors and that Ross that wraps up all the action from last weekend and coming up this weekend. But there is much more action coming up the following week as Cage Warriors is back. 189 in Rome. Ryan Shetty will be on that. So Gary Rooney, I think potentially uh Patty McCroy could be on that as well. Um, there's also the UC will be back as well, so there will be plenty more to talk about as well as the Ultimate Fighter starts. Andreas Binder will be on that as well. Ross, another action-packed, energized show as always, bud. Yeah, I can't wait for it, bud. Um, look, we're putting out this show week in week out. Um, we're constantly growing, but if you can give us a like, share, subscribe. If you follow us on all our platforms, that would be much appreciated. Uh, Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube. We love it. BBO. Yeah, especially BBO. We'll put you in the talk scene. H. But guys, no, thanks so much. Um, as I said, make sure to like, share, subscribe, and as always, stay absolutely punched the roof over there. The Enjoy Show. Up the Irish. It's the face that runs the place, Chaos Cortis. I want to thank the Irish MMA community so much for getting behind me. Yep. The Chaos Cartel.
