Hosts at a UFC London (Blaydes vs Aspinall) Howler Head watch party react to Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett’s finishes on the card. They praise McCann for landing a spinning elbow again—“lightning struck twice”—calling her finish the night’s highlight-reel moment. On Pimblett vs Jordan Leavitt, they note Leavitt came in 10-1 with UFC finishes and was seen as a step up despite long odds, and that Pimblett’s second-round finish was emphatic enough to keep his momentum rolling. Much of the segment shifts to Paddy’s post-fight speech on men’s mental health: hosts applaud him for using his biggest career win to address the topic candidly, including referencing a recently publicized loss of a friend, and argue fighters’ size and toughness do not mean they lack feelings. The piece also includes brief banter about VYB hospitality at the event—drinks and a non-alcoholic option for a designated driver—and a nod to prior Energized Show clips with Dylan Moore.

[Music] [Applause] we are here at the ufc and herrera head watch party where you have seen this with the main alexander [Applause] dave what did you make of meatball molly mccann lightning struck twice she landed spin elbow again i mean if you wanted two fights to give you the spectacle of the night molly and paddy but molly my word that back elbow you think surely you can't do it again but my words in fact absolutely in fact great win that's the thing molly's finish was the eye-catching one that's the highlight reel finish that's the replay that gets shared for the next couple of days paddy's slightly less of a highlight reel finish but i think it was still emphatic and i think the key thing for paddy compared to molly's fight for example was that a lot of people actually thought that that was a bit more of a challenge it was a step up jordan levitt coming into it 10-1 you know and a guy the odds were long on him but that's a guy who's got some finishes in the ufc and tricky finishes as well so for baddie to come out of that get a solid finish in the second round he can keep riding that momentum and like at this point there's no knowing how far that paddy pimlet train can go like ross can we bring jamie home with us i i i feel like you're gonna be like jamie you can replace ross tomorrow jamie made a call after the fight but you always have that opportunity to call someone else out and i actually said i think one of the things that might have even helped is his uh his notoriety and his his character further was what he said after the fight and he made it about you know he called out obviously men with mental health and stuff like that yeah i think that kind of thing is going to help him tenfold in how he's viewed around the world yeah dave we'll have to get back to that but i actually stood up and clapped paddy as well like he said like that was unbelievable yes let's get back to that ross yeah no well i i actually want to talk to them now so i have like obviously uh you know men's mental health is something that's always in the news you know i mean people talk about it all the time you know i mean sometimes i think people give a lip service as opposed to actually care about it paddy had the biggest win of his career and he chose that moment to use his platform to talk about men's mental health how much respect you have for paddy the buddy taking that opportunity to do that unbelievable respect and i think it takes a lot of courage to reference something so close to home that happened very recently as well like he's it's been publicized he lost a friend recently anybody who comes in front of a camera and speaks as candidly as he did should be should be applauded for what he was able to say there but like you said i think it's not shown a big enough light upon when it comes to men's mental health just because these guys are six foot five with muscles ripping it doesn't mean that they don't have feelings and i think that's something that most people would assume that just because he's tatted and he's able to kill you in three seconds doesn't mean he's emotionless so i think that i think that what he was able to say in what in in such um what's what i'm looking for here eloquent fashion right it's it was very well put yeah look the vyb boys they're big guys the big personalities you know i mean they have feelings too and they respect that they respect that in terms of hospitality from the boys not only did they come with delicious beverages for everyone here but as a designated driver they just sorted me out something about the alcohol so shout out to the boys for that man that's a that's an irish welcome yeah irish hospitality is what we're well known for it's what we're well known for yeah i feel like i'm wrong oh oh we stopped already energized up the irish and so seen you guys a couple of times i've seen a couple of clips i think you don't some interviews with dylan moore and that i i saw so keep going keep up the good workers
