A Dominant Start for Team Ireland in Abu Dhabi! 🇮🇪

Day one of the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships is off to an incredible start, with our young athletes delivering clinical performances on the world stage.

Today’s Highlights: 

• Ella Carey: A spectacular performance, securing her victory with a lightning-fast armbar in just 41 seconds. 

• Nikolae (Nick): A massive day for Nick, notched up two clinical submission wins, including a stunning 26-second D’Arce choke, to secure his place in the quarterfinals.

• Alex: Another fantastic win for the squad as Alex dominated his bout and moves forward to the next round with momentum.

The technical skill, composure, and heart shown by our athletes today have been outstanding. This is exactly the start we wanted, and the energy in the camp is at an all-time high as we head into the next rounds.
