I'm joined now by Simon Cox, head of Verda 6 in Healy Park in Oma on August 22nd. Simon, how are you doing?
Good, thanks.
You're looking forward to making the amateur debut against Padamaki next week?
Yeah, absolutely. A lot of hard work gone in, so looking forward to Sean.
Let's talk about that hard work. I mean, you're coming from a Jiu-Jitsu background.
Recently promoted to Brown Belt, I believe.
How was that experience? It's a big moment, isn't it?
Yeah, not class. It kind of certifies the hard work that you have put in in the past.
and I've only ramped up the hard work since looking forward to having scrapped it.
Yeah a lot of people see kind of when they kick off in martial arts they see getting the blue belt
as maybe the end goal but then the moment you start tasting that that validation that sense of
promotion it kind of drives you doesn't it to to step it up the gears have you found that now
since you've got your brown belt it's like a whole new ballgame. Honestly it like honestly
since Blue Belt it kind of just blends into one. You know the lads you're training with,
you know the lads you're competing with and you're going to be coming up against them
each time so the belt doesn't really matter after that.
