Congratulations, unbelievable performance. How good does it feel to become a world champion?
It feels unbelievable, like it doesn't feel real in a way, because 21 years in the sport,
now to finally actually become more a champion, it's literally what I've been dreaming of my whole
life. So now that it's a reality, it's going to take a long time for this to seep in.
Yeah, absolutely. And look, obviously, we know your brother is an absolute knockout artist.
How good did it make it feel to know that you went in and got the business done in a knockout of the year performance?
Yeah, it got me really excited again, like I watched it in the hotel, but I watched it on the TV and once he got that knockout,
my hair was in the arms started kind of going up and I was like straight away just knocked it in the head, focus, focus, you know, I've got a job to do.
I didn't want to get carried away, see what the atmosphere and all that, so I knew it was very important going into this fight,
no matter how loud it was going to be, just to stay disciplined and not get carried away, but
that atmosphere out there was 10 times louder than what I even expected.
Yeah, unbelievable. And like, obviously, this has been an after-world interview. Obviously,
Simon's here for boxing, you know, you've never got to fight on home soil. Maybe falling home soil,
far from a world title, won the world title. How much are you looking forward to the next chapter
of your career? Oh, it's going to be even bigger and better. Like, I was held back for years, and I
I don't know why, like when I was 20, 21, I knew it was at this level, like I went over to America at 16
and I was doing that kind of stuff against war-level fighters even at 16, so now to finally get me opportunity with Zufa
I'm just literally so grateful to them, Dana White and Nick Khan, I have a lot to thank them for
and my manager as well, Mike Brayow, he's been massively helping me get these opportunities, so shout out to all them people
