The second fighter on showcase from Madeira, Romeu Nobrega is the second bantamweight out of Knuckleheads to claim a title on the amateur UK scene.

If Ilia Topuria casts a shadow most are afraid to stand in, Romeu is the exception - a nickname earned, not given: "Mini Topuria." He leans over his front foot and moves methodically, casting long right hands and ripping to the body with his lead left.

In the true spirit of the gym he fights out of, he adheres strictly to the slogan "bone to bone" - every time he steps into the cage, he looks to exchange leather, never shying from a firefight.

In a 10-fight amateur career he's amassed a 6-4 record, picking up a title at Kingdom Combat Championship against John Johnson (Rd 2 finish via body shots) - and the record holds up even better under closer examination. Romeu has never been finished, stepping into the cage against names like Nils and Yannick Goitom, Tyler Derbyshire, Tom Harvey, and John Johnson, picking up wins against the latter two.

Sidelined for the last year with injury, he returns to action at the Madeira Open Championship in a grappling superfight on August 22nd. 

New tools added this camp - it'll be exciting to see him back on the mats, with a return to the cage targeted towards the end of the year.
