Is it possible to experience the pressure of a fight in training?
My name is Ronan Deagon, I'm in undefeated pro fighter looking to go 4-0 next weekend.
Here is something I do every fight camp to prepare me for fight night, fight simulations.
These are done by sparring the same at the time as my fight, 3 5 minute rounds, no music on,
instead it's silent or generic crowd noises played on the speaker.
Me and my teammate Boatware are big in my megalos, I'm padding and we both get
bazillion pot on our faces to replicate a fight night and reduce the chances of cuts.
The power is controlled but harder than usual, it's barren and there's two coaches,
one corner on me and one corner on my teammate.
I think fight simulations are a great tool and I will continue to use them.
That being said, I don't think there's anything you can do in the gym
to fully replicate the experience of a fight.
