We feared the worst. But we’re getting a real treat. The card lost a few big fights as showtime edged closer but we somehow managed to create better fights in the final couple of days.

Hometown hero Blaine gets to make his professional debut in front of the partisan Derry crowd after weeks and months of uncertainty, with what many call a ‘flakey’ opponent. The multiple domestic amateur champion McGill is ready though, and he now has a worthy opponent in Welsh dragon Muaiyad.

The travelling fighter comes to Ireland with serious firepower… knees and elbows locked and loaded. The professional Muay Thai fighter has a clean record. He’s 5-0 and one of the gamest fighters this promotion has ever dealt with. Calm, confident and professional.
