We wish to formally announce that GAMMA Ireland will now operate under the name MMA Ireland.
This change reflects a strategic decision to adopt a clearer, more recognisable identity that directly represents the sport we govern and promote. The new name, MMA Ireland, better aligns with our mission to support, develop, and regulate Mixed Martial Arts across Ireland at all levels, from grassroots participation to elite competition.
While our name has changed, our core values, leadership, governance standards, and commitment to athlete safety, integrity, and the growth of MMA in Ireland remain unchanged. All existing affiliations, programmes, and operations will continue without disruption.
We believe this transition will strengthen our visibility nationally and internationally, improve clarity for athletes, clubs, coaches, and partners, and support the continued professionalisation of MMA in Ireland.
We thank our members and coaches for their ongoing support and look forward to the next chapter as MMA Ireland.
