Team Thailand mixed martial arts athletes continued an excellent run at GAMMA Asian Championships after winning a total of 3 gold, 4 silver, and 9 bronze. Finals results

🥇 In the not-over 52.2 kilogram class, Amp Kanjuta showed an excellent form and won a decision over Almagul Zhorobekova of Kyrgyzstan, who has ONE Championship experience, by unanimous decision 3–0

Kanjuta said after the fight that this bout went according to the coaching team's plan. Even though the opponent was strong and highly experienced, she could control the fight, compete without pressure, and show ability close to what she had trained.

🥇 In the not-over 93 kilogram class, Kenneth Nathan Tongsong won a decision over Barkoromov Abubakr of Tajikistan by unanimous decision 3–0

Kenneth said he had prepared and trained hard continuously. Experience from the Asian Games qualifiers and the previous Asian Indoor Games made him ready in body, mind, and confidence for this competition.

Coach Kieo, Team Thailand coach, said that before the competition the team had set a target of 2 golds, but everyone exceeded expectations and won 3 golds.

Dr. Nat Sirichet Puntipayanon, President of the Thailand Association of Mixed Martial Arts**, said Team Thailand's results this time exceeded the target, because Asian-level competition is very intense, especially athletes from Central Asia, who have strength, experience, and many who compete in international professional events.

“What matters is not only the number of medals, but the experience Thai athletes gained facing high-level opponents. The association will take competition data — technique, physical condition, and in-fight decisions — and analyze it systematically to raise training and prepare Team Thailand for the Asian Games and Asian Indoor Games.”
