Go back. >> All right, here we are. Um, welcome back. >> We are at your fighting championship. I have here Mr. Oshin Daily. >> Hello, guys. What's up? >> Um, congratulations. >> Thank you. >> Uh, I I I caught the end of the last round of that. And like, man, that looked tough. >> Um, especially at the very end there. He was on top of you throwing or keep want to call him Jess. Yeah, I get the I get the two mix of all the time. Um, sorry, but he was on top of you just throwing double hammer fist like what what was that like? >> Um, just there wasn't any part of that fight I thought was getting stopped. I was there for three rounds or if I finished them it was I knew I was going to be in here for tough fight with Ched. He's a vicious lad. But I'm glad to show that I got them three rounds in the bank. Showed a performance, a mature performance. And um, yeah, it was a full year out of competition. So, it's good to get back to this one, you know, >> quite the comeback. >> Yeah, >> for sure. Definitely got to feel good then to get that uh get get that first fight after a year out, you know, out of the way. And then on top of that, it's victory. Um that's great. Um >> a lot of things were going on in my life, personal matters that made me Daffy a better man, a mature man. And it was just happy to get a win. You know, we came back from two losses there and obviously personal stuff, but I'm happy with today. It was a good test and yeah, I'm happy about that. >> It's awesome. I'm happy to hear that. Uh like what was your did you kind of have like an initial plan kind of coming into this? Like what were you um what were you bringing to the T or bringing to the cage tonight uh to give to Jed? >> So I visualize everything in the fight. the worst outcomes to the best outcomes. And I knew when I came in here, the main game plan was fight here at half or a full year to get better after my last fight. And I think I just showed D and [ __ ] dog, you know, like I I think I had all the skill advantage in that fight and Jed was just a tough, vicious lad. And for me to go in there and get them rounds against him, show I'm vicious as well. And my grounding pound was good, too. I hurt him a couple of times. I seen on his face. Uh just cuz the last bit of the fight he was throwing shots that weren't honest even landing doesn't mean he was going to win the fight and the choke wasn't close. I just need a second to rebound, mature, take my time. I'm in there to win the three rounds. You know what I mean? >> Bright on. Like how how confident were you at the very end there when they were when you were stood there with the ref like ready to raise one of your hands? >> I can see I can see it was like a close fight. Yeah. >> But in my eyes, I didn't think it was. I think the first round and the third round 110% mine. Just cuz you have a dad in a position for a choke >> does not mean that's a submission threat. >> Yeah, I was there was one I wasn't getting choked. I kept my position the entire time. If I have failed a we bit then understand, you know, I was just choked. I wasn't. And the ground and pound, I just wasn't getting hit by the ground and pound. You know, the second round, I think he stole it just by me stepping off the gas a little bit. Even though I know I can't I can push the pace. Just say I should have showed that more. That's my regret. But >> I tell you like this, I sat next to one of the judges and at the very end they were having a very difficult time making a decision. Um, you know, so it was clearly it was a it was a very back and forth uh fight there. Um, like what what's one thing you're taking away from this that you want to use next or one thing that you want to improve on for your next fight? Um, this is my first time at 66 kilos. A lot of questions there for my cardio and my strength and stuff like that. And I think dial in more weight cut. Thought this week was brilliant. just do all things could have started a bit early maybe have one of the best nutritionist there Yanik McGee and uh just take get my body a bit stronger bit better for them fatiguing scenarios cuz I have the skill I know I've trained a long long time train since 11 and I think all about me now is getting mature and I think today was the first step to going towards that >> okay um what what are you doing the rest of the year are you finding again or are you going to be very active in the next year or so? Um or are you trying to you going to ease back into it from your year off? >> So, I have one lined up for Cage Conflict. >> Awesome. >> In four weeks. H I'm looking forward to that one. That'll be a good fight. Good test again. Um I reckon it won't be as hard as this one, but I'm I'm ready for anything. You know, after that, I don't know what way I'm going to go, but it's completely up to my coaches. I trust my coaches and my team 100%. They always look out for me and I truly have the best club in in all of Ireland as teams. >> Okay, man. Um, if you could give So, sorry. One of the things I like to do is I like to spread the gospel on combat sports. Um, you can give just one piece of advice to someone who's on the fence about uh or just nervous about joining their gym. What would you say to them? Well, this whole camp and the way it caught and the fight and all the tough battles, I always say two things. This our strength coming from our salvation and the trials and tribulations. And the water's always going to be cold. If you step in that water today, two days from now, a year, it's always going to be cold. It's always going to be tough. Get a bit of courage, get a bravery, jump in the water and you you'll enjoy it, you know. >> Thank you, brother. >> I appreciate it. Thank you very much. And everyone, uh, please check out combat confidential.com. Uh, check it out. It directly supports uh this podcast and then for me coming to events like this and talking to awesome fighters like this.
