MMA In Depth Episode 31 features Irish bantamweight Frans Mlambo ahead of a PFL Dublin final at the 3Arena against Kerser, who had publicly vowed to finish him. Mlambo traces his path from childhood karate and boxing in Ireland to SBG Dublin, where he has trained since starting MMA roughly eleven years earlier and sparred Conor McGregor from long before McGregor’s first UFC fight. He recounts winning IMMAF gold in Las Vegas while on McGregor’s Jose Aldo camp—paying an $800 entry fee with help from his girlfriend—and learning afterward he was the first Irish fighter to win that title. He discusses a long amateur run he describes as 13-2, early pro wins and losses including a sick short-notice Tokyo debut, two defeats to Steven Leman, and a wake-up-call submission loss to Aiden James. He credits a seven-fight streak and a Combat Global tournament win followed by an frustrating eighteen-month layoff before joining PFL, praising their fighter support and promotion while noting disappointment that the million-dollar tournament moved from 2024 to 2025. He reflects on inactivity at Brave and Bellator, training depth at SBG, plant-based eating since becoming a Seventh-day Adventist at twenty-two, twice-weekly chiropractic care improving chronic neck issues, and ambitions beyond fighting in acting and stunt work.

[Music] okay so I'm here with Fran malambo we're going to be coming up on the final in Dublin in the TR Arena a massive massive fight but like to get to this position he's been around for quite a while um he had to start somewhere so I want to thank you very much for joining me but do you want to talk to me about how you actually got into MMA and what was the reason why you got in I was literally since I was a kid man I I was always interested in martial arts and just fight Sports you know what I mean um and I started off doing karate CU that's you know I mean that's what I was working my way to the whole mixed martial arts thing and but one of my dad's friends was a black Bel he started teaching me then right obviously then after moving to Ireland yeah getting um you know acquainted with MMA you watching MMA and all all the all my M were watching MMA um and and at the time like I was already competing doing boxing yeah and I was getting sick of boxing man it just wasn't I just wasn't liking anymore like the the politics and all in boxing was just it wasn't and now that I'm I'm talking to like people I used to box with back then and people still boxing out I get the same type of feedback do you know what I mean is that kind of side of it is no good I don't know what can be done about it but anyways that's beyond the point ended up uh we watching the MMA with all the boys and it just kind of attracted me way more than what I was doing at the time which was boxing do you know what I'm saying yeah and so I wanted to go into that and so I left boxing then one of my M SP me down to SVG and I've been there since this was 11 a years back yeah cuzz you've been fighting your first fight was in 2013 I want to say um but once you got in there and you start like you said you wanted to do Combat Sports did you know you wanted to compete or did you did you want to do it just as a hobby and it led to compete in what way did that transpire exactly how it happened yeah cuz initially like when I was a kid when I set this whole dream in my head I wanted to kind of go in more into like acting and [ __ ] like that you know I mean like action star type of B you know what I mean that's what ATA was into but at the same time I just kind of enjoyed the whole martial arts thing you know what I mean just the whole thing about it I just kind of liked it like even I I have a picture of myself in in Bray I was like 13 or something and I had it I had a martial arts pose on you know what I'm saying so it's been with me forever like you get what I'm saying so um I kind of lost your question day today was answer how how did it lead you to competing cuz you said it was just like a hobby yeah yeah yeah it was just um doing boxing like cuz initially when I went to do boxing I just went in just to just to try it and then my coach kind of was like uh telling me that like to take a serious pretty quick into it because I just kind of was naturally all right at boxing mean know I got in there and I was already already could catch on really quickly so yeah I just kind of was led into competing and then once so was doing that coming into MMA I was already a competitor at that stage so going into MMA it was definitely for the for for the purpose of competing in it but I always wanted to use that as a way to get to something else you get what I'm saying or whatever but um we're here now we're working and it's h it's it's going pretty good right now man yeah but like that with the martial arts with the MMA that could still lead you to those movies me I'm working on it you know what I'm saying and obviously we got to build the bleeding name up and yeah whatever comes next comes you know what I'm saying cuz like I do a bit of singing as well I'm not going to lie I like doing a bit of vocal so if that tops in like I might tap into stuff like that as well like do you know what I'm saying cuz um yeah like fighting alone is fun and all but like you're saying like initially I had different ideas and I would like to at some point you know I mean tap into all that kind of stuff like acting or flipping actually one time separate Story one time I was in the Phoenix Park they want a run and I seen these there was these folks like doing like a choreography like fight choreography I went over to them I was watching them for a bit I was like what's the crack like what's what are you doing here they're like yeah we're we do what's the stunt they were stunt men and I was like oh that's flipping real interesting like can I what's the story with that they gave me a bit of information it was at a time where I was like getting ready to go away and so stuff like that it's actually reminding me now I should look into that but yeah stuff like that is kind of stuff that I'm going to start tapping into now you know what I mean that H you know MMA didn't get me where it was at the time it wanted it to you know what I'm saying we're still working on it but I'm branching out now man we're branching out and like that wh pfl with like I love how they're promoting it and then your Brand's going to get out there it's all about building the brand like said taing into other things you know Henry fipe I se he was actually on the movie he said there recently somewhere so uh we interviewed him he said the same thing he wanted to go into movies so he obviously has gone down that P so maybe he's someone you can talk to yeah they that's actually flipping like that's why you're saying now cuz I actually only seen him in town there um not probably a few months now like buty yeah I spotted him yeah didn't that didn't come up but yeah great two weeks ago or something two weeks ago i' probably seen him before all that or whatever but yeah no that's but I mean that gives me a little connection suppos so yeah for that bit of info you be hitting them up after this but when you went in and like said you were competitor going into MMA when you went in to step into the cage for the first time obviously you competed in boxing what was it like stepping into the cage as an amateur for the first time like what was going through your head what was that week like oh M it was very exciting I just couldn't wait for it do you know what I'm saying cuz like I had competed in boxing but I was fully aware from watching MMA that it's going to be a whole different story Al together do you know what I'm saying so for my first fight I was very excited for ready to go and it went it went just as planned man cuz I don't think it lasted long my first MMA fight um I just flipping bombarded the bloke yeah I it was like I don't know one two minute finish or something but um yeah no it was amazing and that hooked me in I think after doing that and the next few ones as well I was like I think I have something gone here you know what I'm saying yeah cuz you had a lot long am career and I I want to say 10 and two that's what typology gives that might not be right it's 13 and two but I'm surprised typology didn't have that up or maybe I looked at something wrong earlier but but like there was losses Che out there one like you said once you got hooked but you have actually a funny story about not funny story but how you end up at the Y cuz you were actually in Connor Connor's camp for Jose Aldo yeah and then how just talk to us about that how you explain it better how that came about how you end up in the IR and I believe you're the first person from Ireland to win a gold yes sir but listen yeah but yeah no so we were over there flipping H doing the camp I was over there for like 12 weeks or something you know what I mean so um initially I had nothing to do with the IM like I didn't even know really about them you know what I'm saying actually all I did know that kefir and and chenade was was doing them so they came over as well to do them but then I was like I'm here why like makes no sense why I shouldn't do them you know what I mean h but initially John was like no you're not doing them but then after a while I don't know what made him change his mind he was like right let's let's go but at the time it was it's $800 I didn't have that at the time was that being in Vegas do you know what I mean living off my flipping girlfriend that's in irand type of situation you know what I'm saying and but fair enough she she was able to actually H you know make up that 800 we we we done the imfs and that but uh yeah got it man got it talk to people what it's like especially amre Fighters um what it's like to fight day after day like what's that like on the body because you have to make weight every day as well don't you so talk to us like what that was like how it was making we every day how did you feel every time you won and you won and you won you were getting closer to that gold yeah like for me like I I think it' be it be it' be a different kind of a message from other people or whatever cuz for me I was at the fittest point of my I've never been so fit me life man than that time you know what I mean obviously we're working now we're good but I'm saying at that time yeah I had been like training for 12 weeks being sping Conor day in day out do you know what I'm saying so I was super fit there was no way anybody would would have been able to beat me at that stage you know what I'm saying so doing that day-to-day kind of thing I think with me having already been in a professional Camp um it was Grand for me man you know what I mean I'm already kind of really good at at keeping light weight you know what I'm saying so I nearly made weight I think every day even though there was allowances do you know what I mean I think I I like made way I was under the way or something like that every day and so yeah know I just flipping enjoyed it man I just enjoyed it and I was fully aware that as fit as I was there was no flip beat me you know what I mean and how did it feel when you actually got the gold and did you realize at the time you were the first Irish fighter to Win It initially I didn't it didn't take too long for me to to to to to to find that out and when I did I mean I kind of expected a bit more hve to be done about it know what I'm saying but I wasn't around at the time doing the media so that's it maybe that was the problem yeah you should have been there bro I was probably like or something I know no but h no no it is what it is you know I mean that's that will always stand as something you know I mean I've achieved proud of it enough but um yeah it is what it is man and talk you talked to us obviously being in Comm Connor's camp and doing like a professional Camp what's that like being with Conor McGregor like the Jose ELD fight was big that would have been kind of coming up to his like that his Peak when he beats Jose fights Nate then he goes and fights that what's it like being in his camp and being around him with all that hype and just training with him on a day-to-day basis you think he helped improve you cuz you were just like that you were a high level Amer but do you think he really brought you on like training with him what's it like being in the camp with Conor um well I like that question from my perspective is very different right because you're looking at the Connor now and how is it to train with this Connor now but I've been training where Conor from flipping longm Road do you know what I'm saying before he was like I was sparing with him for his first UFC fight you know what I'm saying even before that of course but I'm saying for the first one like I I was in that camp as well do you know what I'm saying so I I was there for the whole progression you get I mean so it looks different to me than you know what I'm saying from me looking in for that camp that that he's been part of your life cuz you like Chris Fields you would have been training with Ash like you're like you're a proper OG that's still in the game man yeah how does it make you feel look looking at the likes of Chris Fields like ash Daly H Patty huland the likes them they've all gone into coaching roles and you're still fighting like how does it make you feel to go right that like you've talked about movies and stuff like that like there might be an option to go on coaching if that interests you but to think that you started there with them they're all gone into those roles but you're still competing at the highest level yeah but when I did start with them I was I was a bit younger anyway do you know what I mean so that that yeah that just kind of fills the gap of that you know what I'm saying but at the same time like you know I am looking at that and thinking like for example with this pfl thing right I'm doing the we're in the 100 Grand tournament and all that which is flipping fantastic but at the same time it does put me at a level where like say John Mitchell who was a guy that was fighting my bleed little brother back in the day do you get what I'm saying so it's bittersweet in a Lou of ways man so being an OG feels great you know mean got experience and all that but at the same time um I'm not at the level I feel like I deserve to be do you get what I'm saying but putting that word deserve in just kind of puts it back to me then CU like you mean you have to do stuff that deserve stuff feel like I've done a bit of stuff you know what I'm saying yeah but um it's up to me like I suppose to you know to to to make sure um what I want comes to you com to me you know what I'm saying and do you think that was was that anything down to not even comes to me that I go get it yeah that's what I'm trying to get to you go take it take it by you screw for the neck and just go get it yeah and like when you say Obviously when you're saying that like at any stages did you feel like like you kind of took your foot off the gas is that what you're saying or was it just that opportunities didn't maybe come your way or is it no man I never took my foot off the gas you know what I'm saying cuz like I'm an active fighter with that saying like by saying that I mean like I like to be active I don't like to like you'd hear people going oh after this fight I'll take a few months I like I would like to fight every two months in an ideal world that's what I always wanted and every organization like going out of the IM went with brave and I told bra sorry I keep touching the bleed mic man right when I went there when I was with brave I told him straight away I was like guys like keep me active you know what I mean moved on to Bellator keep me active I any other organization I've been with I was like activity is what I need and it's something that I haven't been getting um but like I just need to fight man as much as possible I'm not to losing your question again um I'm after losing it as well but I picked up another question while you're there that and that's why pfl suits you so well cuz we we speak spoke previously online and you would said like there's a structure there obviously with the tournament format but it just say like that that you would have been on this card regardless of like if you were in the tournament or not that they will fulfill they seem to be fulfilling the DAT and is that what you like so much about pfl and how's it been since you've been fighting with them what's the dealings with them like it's been fantastic man um and no it is that as well like is that like you I mean they they they're promising activity in anyways you know what I mean that's what they're promising and I'm saying that because like initially like what pushed me to go with the pfl was that million dollar tournament in 2024 do you know what I mean and I'm might have just finding out there like in beding Paris that no actually it's not next year it's in 25 you know what I'm saying so there's another year that I have to wait where I thought I was so close to getting what I want but then now it's said they're getting Tron to bleed 12 months down the line you know what I mean but at the same time in that same breett that did say here look we like you and we know what you're saying you need um and we're promising you activity and you mean if you keep winning we'll keep growing you so I mean that that's it they true the ball back to me and um you know it it is you mean I was kind of bitter about it initially my flipping heart sank and I was like another 12 months and I have to go through a load of UT beding Killers to get there do you get what I'm saying but at the same time that challenge in itself is exciting you know what I'm saying that's something I feel like I can do and you know I mean if if it needs be that that's what I'm going to have to do and that's what I will do but other than that any other dealings with the pfl has been way better than nothing else I've ever dealt with do you get what I'm saying like for example in I lost my wallet in Paris yeah in the bading cab and everybody done everything they could possibly do to to get and actually I ended up getting it back and all but what's it straight away there were like do you need more money and stuff like that Dan Hardy himself flipping H sort his out with a few quit while I was waiting for my wallet and that and um yeah but so they just they just they just fix you up man whatever you need they they sort out and I I I can't speak highly enough about the pfl but then at the same time you know the whole 25 instead of 24 thing is is a big disappointment but I'm still excited to be part of the pfl and be on this journey with the whole thing um so yeah we'll see what the road holds man yeah it sounds good though that they actively listen to their Fighters they they're doing loads of promotions I seen obviously they done what you Dylan and John out when you were all together they're pushing you like that you said you were a brave and I know obviously matis who's now in your gym he struggled they didn't match him for like two years or something and like you know yourself that's a long long then Aussie Bellator only really get the Irish Fighters when they come here February September and for you that's that's that's not what you need that's not what you want so it must be good to actually be able to actively have someone that's actively listens you pushing you and like that a other other places would have been like you lost your own wallet it's your own thing the fact that like exact that's my point and the thing is like they they actively made sure like everything is sorted you know what I'm saying so yeah know it's fantastic but what you had said there kind of remind me of the that question I I missed where it was like all right fair enough I have so many fights 205 20 fights or whatever right now which seems kind of like a lot but there has been loads of gaps of inactivity in that space of time I remember Brave done that to me one time where there was a year without a fight you know what I'm saying or something like that something close to that and like there's been these long gaps of throughout my career do you get what I'm saying um so what my point of saying that is the pfl promised to not do that to me and I I think if if that is that that does hold to be true then I'll be a happy guy until we get to that Minon no it seems like they are and they're doing an assault on Europe at the minute as you can see and I think it's great for we know in Europe especially you you you were actually at Regional show that I was at recently with Brian Manning and down W remember that main event wasn't that unbelievable so like and you see every day just so many good Fighters coming out this little tiny Island I'm glad that now octagon have moved in as well pfl obviously you're at a bigger stage than octagon but there's more opportunities out there and how does it feel like for a fighter like self with like you have a 155 record you have 20 fights like to have obviously you with the pfl but for younger fighters coming up to have all these different options that there's not there used to be just kind of one rout now there's so many like so many what what you think of the evolution of of the sport as a whole between training um how it's accepted and how it's grown since you started back like 11 years ago it's changed man like like you're saying everything has just exploded like just flipping like for example right I'm on a card now right with Nathan yeah Nate right Nate Kelly and Big Nate or Little Nate Little Nate yeah and listen here man right I was at the tree arena there with him and uh we're g home anyways we were leaving we're doing interviews right with for the pfl and we were leaving anyways all of us so we're dis we're dispersing uh I'm in town so I was getting the Lis I was like y are you coming like are you getting the L he's like no bro I'm driving I'm like what I was like mate like I know him since he was literally a flipping toddler do you know what I'm saying like training and now he's a flipping nearly full grown bloke on the same card as me and stuff like that it just it's flipping crazy it just makes me feel so old in the sport do you know what I mean but it's fantastic cuz as well you're you're seeing all these U like obviously he started young but there and at the time time he was like one of the only ones do you know what I mean that young doing it but now there's an explosion of kids and they're Savage as well like you know what I mean like these are like I think the skill level is is way higher now do you know what I mean because everybody is starting from way lower you get what I'm saying um so yeah know it's exciting to see the whole development of it um but and especially I think the pfl is doing a great job with that as well where they're like now they're starting to B uh pfl and then there's pfl Europe they mean we're spreading out H to to to different places and um bringing new kind of uh what's it formats to to the whole MMA thing you know what I mean the way they're doing the league that that's a whole new thing do you get what I'm saying so I think when um you know MMA just presents itself in lows of different ways of will attract way more people which is exactly what has been happening and what is happening and so um yeah know it's exciting time to be part of the sport man um but you know for me personally you know I've had my ups and downs with it so I got to love hate still relationship with the sport you know what I'm saying so yeah no it's good like you said they diversify in their formats to different things and like I said it only track more and more but you training in SBG um was it like talk to us about what's like training there with the bodies because I want to say there's probably over 100 pro Fighters that's me hazarding a crazy guess so you've got people at so many different weights so many different styles so many different skill sets that there're strong here there's another guy sh here what's it like having those bodies available when you're going into cuz obviously you can you you can pick someone to mimic mimic your upcoming opponent they'll have a similar side what's it like to have that choice cuz a lot of gyms don't have that choice right yeah that's the thing I do I like I've been with SBG since I started MMA so I don't know what it's like to not have that choice I mean because we've always had people coming in from all over the world come coming in and training especially after Conor do you know what I'm saying and so and I'm just used to that do you know what I mean that's just SBG that's just how we do things like I'm always seeing new faces like literally every week There's a new person there that we've never seen before do you know what I'm saying who brings different skill sets to the place you know what I'm saying so um no it's it's fantastic I suppose I'm blessed to be in that position but yeah no it's great man yeah know it's fantastic Jam like seeing the Champions that have come out with the there seems to be an SBG fighter in every organization every and they're getting bigger like you've actually two SBG Lads fighting each other Andre been there from Chown versus your teammate as well which is kind of a Bittersweet fight I say for John I didn't I've seen that happen at am I didn't think it happened at Pro but obviously they would probably said well this is the fight and and that's the thing and these boys I don't think these boys know each other at all like I don't think they have any type of relationship so to them even though you know mean close relation gy wise I don't you know mean it's just another fight for them I suppose you know no it is quite good but I want to talk to you about stuff that you might have had the sacrifices cuz people will see you for 15 minutes they'll watch you they'll see they'll catch you on TV they'll think all right that's great they don't see what goes in behind it the Blood Sweat and Tears like what what are you restricted to doing that the likes on my set like I can go out tonight let's say get a takeaway go for a couple of pints like what have you sacrificed social life food so so like what do you have to go through on a daily basis or overtime family events being missed stuff like that like we train very smart like you know what I'm saying smart that I'm saying cuz I was going to say I don't um I I don't overly train so I don't be usually like I do my sessions and in the balance then obviously have to get your food in and all that but it's too hard a question to really answer because it depends of what uh it depends on what um type of area I am in my training m i mean where I'm like when I'm like three weeks away from my fight is way different than when I'm like 12 weeks away do you know what I mean everything my regiments are different but sacrifice wise I suppose like you know flipping time in it your body man you know what I'm saying like think of what Connor does to people and think of what that does to you sparring him for a Le few years you know what I'm saying do you get what I mean yeah and then and not only him and everybody else that we just talked about in SBG do you get what I'm saying so your body take it takes puts a a toll in your body obviously which is why uh I'm you I mean doing everything I can do to make sure that my body is in its split and Peak condition at all times do you get what I'm saying yeah that's obviously adding into a conversation we were having before but um you know stop there no no we can talk about like you were actually saying to me your body's in the best condition that it's ever been in like talk to us talk to us cuz other Fighters might get to see this and might go know younger fighters might go it might help prolong their career over time cuz like you said people come in on my arm hurts my neck hurts my back hurts whereas you said you're not really getting that much anymore talk to us what you're doing why you're doing it and what are the benefits of it yeah yeah so like obviously training training as hard as you do in MMA but you mean you're doing boxing you're flipping Jiu-Jitsu wrestling you're hitting all types of different parts of your body like for example if you're like a say a fit boxer and you do like a bleeding grappling round for like three minutes You' be bollocked yeah and if you're a fit bleeding Grappler you do boxing for you know what I mean so as an MMA fighter you need to just have it all flipp and sorted you know what I'm saying um which it's very hard on your body throughout the years you're obviously dealing with all types of match stuff I used to have this thing with my neck where anytime I I'd stop training after a fight or whatever anytime I'd start training like my neck would go I don't know what it was like but I just got used to it and expected it because it happened without fail you know what I'm saying but um you know I've always seen like physios and stuff through out but recently uh have um been seen by I've been going to a chiropractor yeah been going to Chiropractics and going there like twice a week and getting adjusted and all that they're teaching you about your body really yeah and then since I've been gone since I've been with these for a few months now me it's totally changed that the neck thing doesn't happen anymore right and I can nearly feel if something is out of place like you know what I mean I I can I can like see my body in my mind's eye type of thing and if something is off I can nearly see it you know I mean not see it but you know you can imagine that I mean there's a knot building there and then you can get rid of it or whatever or say my hip is out of you know what I'm saying I can feel these things now um which kind of brings me to to think man like how dangerous would that be to not have that yeah do you get what I'm saying and then then I'm talking to Fighters all the time in the gym or what not in the r bits like back or neck s flipping all types of M injuries um but these same people don't really take care of themselves do you know what I'm saying in that way you know what I mean like I speak to boys all the time where they're like I have a sore back and me backs in bits or me whatever is in bit I'm like first of all what are you doing here and what are you doing about it and it's usually nothing you get what I'm saying yeah I survive yeah this is a longwinded type of thing but my point is like I had an idea of like say like a a JY um having like a partnership or something like that with like a chiropractic um care or physio whatever where you know what I mean they get 30% off or whatever you I mean to to to keep that flipping and that kind of like to keep your body kind of in in good condition throughout your training you know what I mean it's something very important I think it it'll save Not only would it say cuz there's a lot of young kids now doing it do you know what I'm saying so you know what I mean you're breaking your body up so much getting it fixed like dur like it like I mean meanwhile will only help in the future man so I I think that's something that even coaches should really pay attention to for their Fighters do you get what I'm saying um this is only a new kind of idea I haven't said it to my own coach yet but I think I should yeah I think I think you've got business idea there I think I do man um Alex I you probably shouldn't have just gave this all no but listen the thing is right someone might see it and reach out no no but not only that I'm saying keep touching the mic my bad bro right but I'm saying why not like why not give everybody a good idea where it would just make everybody better do you know what I'm saying so I think no and and people do take that kind of stuff for granted and it can only do you good man you know what I'm saying you know what I'm saying but it's it was actually an idea that was transformed from when I used to do h l landcaping like for a company I used to work for a company called sappia used to all over they're all over the place yeah so I was I was one of them buys but anyways when I was working for them you my back would be so as well obviously I was training but at that time I was getting looked after by H neuropain Clinic flipping will That's my boy that's actually coming down today to sort me out so not only am I getting looked after by a chiropractor it's a it's it's a physio as well double Wy uh but anyways I had an idea for sap where ER they do that as well where they would go to to to a practice and say here look um how can we make a deal you know I mean the guys cuz doing landscaping you're working on your back and all um and you're in bits all the you're in bits all the time it's a tough SL glance like do you get what I'm saying and so you know what I mean why not partner up it only helps everybody involved like that we we h an MMA gym you're constantly especially somewhere like SBD you're constantly going to have streams of Fighters coming and going and that like you said that small discount will like I say the volume will make that up over time cuz Fighters like you said you always had that neck thing you don't have it now I think it's good and and this is one of the things of the evolution of the sport as well that idea could come to fruition very soon and that could be something that then the sport takes on as a whole like I said there's so many new things to be explored within MMA and then attaching stuff St too but no I like your idea someone probably will take it but yeah but look if you do take it say give us a shout just cut in just cut in yeah yeah yeah but um yeah no I think it'd be great man you know what I'm saying and it's um it's just kind of confounds me why nobody else has thought that cuz it's kind of a no-brainer like you know what I mean yeah no it is like that you need to prolong your career cuz it is a short window anyways like it is a short window you give so much to it you might as well stay it's like if you were a car you wouldn't just let it not get service I was waiting for you to stop talking right and that was going to be my next comment was going to be like if you own a a garage right you're going to keep all your cars flipping checked up all the time so if you own a gym it's just flip and sa take anyways same L good thing I know I want 50% this IDE but yeah so like going on like we've talked about kind of your am career you went like this isn't the first time you're going to be fighting at this Arena on like at a show like this your first fight I believe was Bama Bama Bama Tre Arena yes yeah what was that like first professional fight yeah in that Arena what was that like it was amazing man it was amazing like I remember I have a terrible memory but I remember that night pretty good yet because the flipping the guys crowd was amazing I could hear I could I still hear her from time to time in my head go dar go man yeah the whole place was flipping lit man uh yeah it was a super fun night and obviously I've competed in there a few times since but um yeah no that that night was like it kind of felt like right I made it now you know what I'm saying like as in like that's my first profight after the whole thing I'm like you know I'm where I need to be now this is going to be the start of you know I mean something special so yeah it was a it was a great night man yeah and then like that talk to us about um you won that fight I believe he lost your second and then you won your third and then lost your fourth same as my Pro fight I mean my am career Madness once the the the joy and all wears off then you go into your second fight um you said like your first fight will always be memor memorable to you what it like losing that first professional one like what does that do does it hurt your confidence or or what way does it work or was it just something you knew you could have done better at the time or what way does that affect you mentally then going into your third after in the second Pro fight yeah it's kind of it was different way I I lost my my my first pro it was actually in Tokyo yeah and then I what three weeks before the fight the r me up they're like you want to go to Tokyo yes but bro I was in bed sick and bits yeah like bleeding just in bits like it was the M I think it was the middle of the day when the ring me on I was still in bed and I was in the bed for the the day for a few days after that but anyways when they rang me I was like I'm sick but I definitely go to Tokyo do you know what I mean I was like yeah three weeks I can get good in that space of time CU all I all my my idea was all I need to do is lose the weight in order for me to do that because I don't do any uh water loading or nothing like in order for me to cut the weight I will get fit my my way of cutting weight gets me fit you know what I'm saying so I was like yeah I'll we'll do that I did feel better and all going up but then all the way through D was all good got to Tokyo fantastic right get into the ring feeling all right with doing the warm up and all that I get into the bleeding cage and flipping nothing's working bro yeah I TR my first combination and I was like balls this is just not going to go well it's just I just wasn't operating you know what I mean and this flipping guy came over and just bulldozed me I was flipping like this and he was just raining elbows down on WE bleed I Bros the bastard and flipping after the fight you know what I was like you know I just I wasn't ready for this you get me I didn't really feel kind of like oh I it wasn't it didn't hit me like losses due because I was kind of like I I accepted the fact that I shouldn't have been there all of that and I was like T you might first loss it's only at the start of my career will be good so I was all right with that one and then the next one then I think was against Steven lman which defeated you twice as well heed me twice he is My Kryptonite but the M thing is about that like the first fight so first fight was so close man right the guy was literally I no I was drenched in his blooder literally just flipping so I could smell it I could smell it it was so there was so much of it right like I left the flipping guy Hospital literally he he like he got he left he left in the stretcher like right that fight fair enough he had the control I think it'd be different nowadays with the Jud with the judge M cuz I flipping smashed that guy up proper and all he did good was just kind of hold me in position for most of the fight you know what I mean did get a good few shots and it was a good exciting fight you know what I mean but that's one of the fights where I'm like right you I mean it was just the judges but I felt like I'd won that yeah in myself you know what I mean and then I got to fight him again then uh which I was like this is going to be my revenge now and the guy had just gotten much better much stronger and everything else you know what I mean that was a competitive fight it was a five round fight um and um yeah I lost that again and I was like you know what this guy is just good I just I just can't beat him today you know what I'm saying yeah cuz I was like cuz I remember one time right cuz he's here flipping pantam we like he was he was pushing me against the fence he had me against the fence but I had not to this day ever felt so much bleeding pressure do you know what I'm saying the guy is just amazing um so when I lost that one as well I was just kind of like yeah fair enough you beat me very rarely will I ever accept defeat like that but I was like you know what this guy flipping just won today he was just better and that was that um and then what's it fourth loss was against this guy called Aiden James yeah from out of Scotland or Wells I think it was wels yeah and like it was one of them where I hadn't gotten a fight in a while and I was hounding the flipping the brave to give me a fight and they were like just look we'll throw this guy at you right he was just coming up I think he was just like a jiujitsu guy and and everybody that knew him was like France he doesn't stand a chance and that's just kind of the aura I just kind of went the whole through out the whole camp and all with I was like right I just got to smoke this guy and you mean get ready for the next one type of [ __ ] I was my very disrespectful attitude do you know what I'm saying so I go into the fight and anyways I'm like I'm lighting this guy up straight away and I was like man we're flipping ground here right so he takes me down and anyways and like I'm very hard to choke my CH my defense rare naked very good right and ER so he got around whatever I'll just take my time let it burn itself out you know what I mean next thing I was flipping waking up say I was like what the hell just happened I mean so that fight I realized I like I just literally like um I took this guy for granted all together do you know what I mean um which was a flipping stupid thing to do he a professional fighter do you get what I'm saying um so that all that did was kind of teach me a lesson it's like you cannot take anybody for granted in this sport do you know what I'm saying to that degree anyways cuz I literally just didn't give this guy a chance at all do you know what I'm saying because of the [ __ ] I'm hearing from people like oh mean you're theread you're going to smash them and you take that and mean it boosts your ego um that time obviously to my detriment you know what I mean but that's one I'm like yeah that was a my mistake I lost that one bada bing bada bong what can you do you know what I'm saying but then the flipping Ricky one right in the tree that was actually my last fight in the tree Arena I just to this day that just doesn't make any sense to me man I tried to make sense that I fight and I just can't you know what I'm saying I just can't but it's it's gone on so long that I've just accepted it is what it is man I'm never going to even get it back or nothing you I mean it's very it's seeming like it got a very got very close when when I was in com combat Global because he was there as well and we were literally in the same tournament so there was a chance we could have met but since that didn't happen I don't think it ever is going to happen it is what it is I've knocked out so many boys I keep saying I've knocked out so many people I can't keep crying about the one time I got dropped do you know what I'm saying so I've accepted that as well and all the best for the guy for having a highlight reel on the malambo fell that's that's some achievement you're only on you're only on one of them but um but you brought up some important points I think that F especially like younger fighters looking at don't look past your opponents I've had so many people say that to me that they thought they had a fight in a promotion in Europe they said I just need to smoke this guy and then apparently there was the talks to the UFC after and then he got choked out that's that's what happened and then yeah and then he went my biggest mistake was like you said he's a pro fighter he's fighting for that opportunity as well man so what makes what why should I think this guy is going to be easy and if someone said said that about you you'd be like [ __ ] this [ __ ] exactly cuz you know what even right like uh I I heard an interview there of kerser saying I'm going to I'm going to finish Rance milambo right and that hit a nerve with me bro yeah cuz I've had people saying you I mean oh I'm going to win and all I'm going to beat him but to say I'm going to finish him is hitting the nerve you know what I'm saying so if somebody's like Oh you mean he's nothing I I can only I can only imagine what that will do to you you know I mean that would only flip and make you crazy you know what I'm saying so yeah taking people for granted is number one no no for sure in the sport man yeah and especially him saying that now that seems to lit a fire under you it seems to lit a fire under you but as as we're in the midst of it now as well I believe you're on seven fight win streak you win this to win all the money in Tre Arena that'll be eight what's it like being on a win streak like that and during that win streak as well you also won tourament at combat to Global so talk to us about being on a win streak like that what it does for your confidence and talk to us about the combat day Global because that kind that was that was mental like you don't have the trophy anymore all anymore never had the trophy Ry wanted too much money for for the kgs did they it wasn't even right here combat Glo was just doy dirty and just said no we're not sending it after a while that was it's just as simple as that they were like no we'll send it and waiting waiting and then we're like no actually you know what you have to fight the champ if you and if you get the belt then um we can get it I was like yeah well that's Grand but then that didn't happen as well so they were like you're not getting there and I was like fair enough well they they they r on the deal but what was it like going into combat the global because there like you said there was spells of inactivity and and I think mean you talk about seen Paran getting fights and fights and fights did you think when you got there right I'm in this tournament I've won the tournament man I'm going to be so active here I think P fought five times in a year or something crazy like that Madness cuz he was coming in he was coming in late notice so talk to us about what was the joy of winning the tournament winning the money and then when you realize you weren't going to be active like how did that affect you you're like [ __ ] I like I thought I was going to be getting fights here and I'm not what's going on yeah man it was flipping but the thing is like that happened at a period where everything else was falling apart bro yeah so I won that anyway winning streak and all that you mean all good but I'm not getting the benefits of being on a we and streak do you get what I'm saying so that like so finishing combat comeback Global I think it was five on on a five fight winning streak then yeah or some [ __ ] like that I don't know something like yeah right and then four five fight winning streak and but then I went on the least active period do you know what I mean where it was 18 months without a fight until obviously uh Berlin with the pfl [Music] um yeah right anyways it was just flipping crazy man cuz I'm I'm I'm on a winning streak which is what you need to be doing in this SP you mean and then I wasn't getting any opportunities at the time so it was very bitter sweet man I I didn't know how to really take it but um that's history now in it we're in a different Flippin wave all together now yeah but it was bent at the time it was no good man yeah it's is like said when you go on winning streaks like that and I've heard a couple of of media members I want to say Andy hickey had had put up a tweet about you saying that the fact that you weren't on a big promotion as well was was criminal because of your record because of your skill um H I think Annie Stevenson probably said the same as well few were the lads like I said like the fact that you weren't on these stages is and does that kind of come back to remember you were saying earlier about there wasn't as much made about you do you think cuz I think to be honest sometimes you fly under the raar I don't think you're given the Kudos that you deserve I don't understand how that keeps happening though like that do you feel that as well I feel it man and I like I felt that throughout my whole career CU like like even since like my the the the whole uh the IMF thing I was like like everybody was telling me that's such a big deal but then I'm like to who you know what I'm saying like you know what I'm saying and [ __ ] like that keeps happening for example right um I think it was the Mendes Camp one of the camps anyways right some sou African boxer fell and sparred Conor one time and he was in the flipping news right I'm s afin literally day to day with this guy and I'm hardly known over there which is just doesn't make any sense you know what I'm saying but that that translates to Ireland as well I've just just always been under flipping radar anybody that trains with Connor is but then it's like people don't see me or something you know what I'm saying it's flipping crazy but at the same time it's up to me I suppose you know what I mean but I don't know what that is man cuz I fight like and I'm an exciting enough fighter but I don't know what else you want for me I know you need you need to get your manager on social medias or so l Dylan war is that boxer from Ireland as well look how much hype he's built I always see him on my news Fe you know the B is he from Watford I want to say yeah yeah yeah like you see he kind of became once he was back he was in the camp for khabib was it like his kind of profile went up D Dylan mour okay I don't know was there well he's obviously not that big if you don't know I just [Music] don't Dyan don't beat the [ __ ] on me no but uh like his his obviously his uh profile went up after as well and it's mad that like you said you're on a day-to-day basis you're trained with him so obviously you're like and if people watch your fights they see your skill set like you've done some crazy stuff like was like was it the last fight where you like caught them in the air it was aspiring it was there one aspiring this flipping thing has millions of bleeding views yeah yeah I do scroll through the comments and most of the comments are like who is this guy I'm like what what you mean do you know what I mean and it's just so frustrating cuz I'm in this [ __ ] but somehow it's like ipping have a layer of invisibility on me or something it's I don't know what it is it does be frustrating but at the same I'm so chill that I don't let [ __ ] bother me that much yeah you mean for that long you're Lally typing it's FR I don't even need to type it to be honest cuz you do there is a few people going oh this just you know what I mean there's people out there still there's a few do you know what I'm saying for example like my social media um what's it following is isn't great compared to for how long I've been whatever right but um what's it called but I have like a loyal like 6,000 I mean I've had 6,000 for like a you I mean so I do have like a loyal following that's like that I have a group of people that have been following me for for a while that are with me and they supporting me and stuff like that but then it's like flipping radio silence outside that outside of that do you know what I'm saying but to be honest the pfl is doing a a good job in getting me more out there you know what I'm saying which I feel like is something the other organizations organizations didn't do for me when I deserved it I feel do you get what I'm saying especially like Bellator in Dublin I should have definitely been H promoted more in Dublin right fair enough no no there should have been cuz I was going to say oh fair enough I lost but I was like there's one out a tree you get what I'm saying um so that that is what it is at the end of the day man you know what I mean there's so many variables in in what in the reason why that hasn't happened for me maybe I don't know you know what I mean it it is what it is cuz if if I start thinking of that too much it just drivve me crazy do you get need to go in there fight and do your thing and I think you saw you said a point that I kind of echoed as well um and octagon are doing it quite well as well pfl well you see the best at they can take they could take two people from Ireland off the regional scene give them a their Pro debuts but tell a story about them do you know the sort of way octagon are doing that and pfl are doing that really well and with Dan Hardy's voice and his um knowledge and how he articulates it especially because he's such a well known well-renowned figure I think that's building and I think it will come for you and I think with the with the pfl that is going to come because you see how passionate Dan Hardy has been about you and about some of the other Irish Fighters as well n Kelly uh Big Nate as well as Little Nate but they're really getting it out there so it's looking very fruitful going forward for you and hopefully that will jump but I prefer a loyal 6,000 than 50,000 and they don't follow what you're doing this is it but no like everything you said there man dead right yeah and I think that's why as well um that's why as well I'm not as devastated as I kind of should be with the whole H million dollar thing you know what I'm saying because I can see the effort they're putting in in all that like like like like a in promoting H not not just me but all the other Fighters and stuff like that but I mean they do a very good job of promoting us you know what I'm saying um like I feel like a bleeding Superstar already I hav had a bleed um the the Superstar fight yeah you know what I mean in the tree Arena and all that kind of stuff but um no they're pushing us out there man you know what I mean cuz I I have people actually coming and telling me they're like M the pfl are pushing you yeah and I was like rightly so man you know what I mean um so yeah no it's fantastic so there's there's a load of pros and cons but way more Pros than there is cons bro the pfl is fantastic honestly yeah it is good and it is like I said this the card is stacked with Irish Fighters I think people need to get to it as well people need to get like that's going to be like the tree Arena you talked about the crowd earlier and stuff like that for this fight you're about I want to say you nearly exactly three weeks out today is it yeah yeah yeah what's the feeling like how's train has training be any different has Camp been any different or is it just the same foot to the floor ready to go how are you feeling this far out we're getting to that like the last it's been like intense enough the last little while yeah because it's it's close enough you know what I mean yeah um I'll probably keep it intense for another week and then start tapering down do you know what I mean yeah so yeah now that's where we are with that you know what I mean it's been intense the last little while the intensity is just going to start tapering off now after this uh week and then we're just going to flip and chill and um you know cruise into the cage man and then smoke I think you are the most chill person I've ever interviewed in my life you know what though bro that's not always a good thing apparently yeah cuz and I'm saying that because I the video yesterday and we're talking about my chillness so how some sometimes it could be too chill where you should be pushing stuff exactly you get what I mean that's the thing as well and I think that's why I'm naturally not good at social media because I'm like like like put like I don't know like put putting my food up but I'm going to start doing I think for this Camp right I'm going to start showing people how I do things because I I think it's very interesting I think it works very well and it's very unconventional so I feel like um you know people should know that maybe if we can help some folks you know what I'm saying yeah do that like said we we talked earlier and you actually don't eat meat which is one thing yeah H obviously a lot meat there's lot when did you stop that or why did you stop eating meat when and how what benefits have you seen from it for people that might be thinking I want to go that down that road but I'm an athlete but everything that's thrown in your fa is protein from beef from chicken from this talk to us about your diet uh how when and why the benefits of it so initially to be honest like when I was at that age when I was 20 I became a Christian when I was 22 and [Music] I loia ski true whatever I became a seven-day Adventist yeah which is a sect of Christianity and who take Health very serious right so they have the gospel fair enough and then they have another it's called the health message so they give you the gospel and then they give you the health message as well it's part of the same thing really yeah like did you ever hear of barara O'Neal no so uh on Tik Tok and all top social media everywhere she keeps popping up and just giving hell H advice you know what I mean h using like food and herbs and you know what I mean natural kind of stuff natural Homeopathy or whatever you want to call it and she's a 7day Adventist but when I went into this I I started learning about nutrition and how the body is meant to be fed and stuff like that and so I took that on stopped eating meat I've been doing it since and to this flipping day I'm the best at losing weight I don't know if it's directly related to that or my body type or whatever but it it's to me your world are good man do you know what I'm saying um that goes H to that as well what I was saying at the start where you need to keep your body in Peak condition and I feel like that assists me in doing that you know what I'm saying yeah and and you never felt it dropping any energy levels around this cuz people think oh you take meat you're not going to have the same energy stuff like that you didn't experience less energy did you no like the only thing that that causes that is if you're not doing it right you know what I mean like you get energy from food you know I mean you don't get energy from meat yeah do you get what I'm saying so if you're if you're eating and you're not getting energy you're just probably not eating the right [ __ ] then are you know what I'm saying yeah for example h i I had a bloke from the gym tell me they they did they they they try to go vegan for a few months and that happened to them they just didn't feel good and I was like what were you eating oh loads of fruit and loads of edge you're missing out on legumes seeds nuts grains do you know what I'm saying so you need to be able to get a wholeistic type of like a diet to in order to to to survive you know what I mean not just to do sports or whatever but just to survive and then you get people saying to me all the time where didd you get your protein like it's literally the most ridiculous flipping statement you can make like about protein anyways because like the best compound proteins you get are not from meat you know what I'm saying like say hemp seed has a Savage protein quinoa has flipping nuts seeds beans everything has protein you just need to get it into it like so I'm having three meals a day two meals a day actually usually like say around this time where my TR um my Camp is getting so close to to the fight whatever and I'm only having two meals a day but I'm full of energy bro and but I'm making sure I'm eating the right things you know to fuel and then to fuel your training sessions and stuff like that yeah like I don't take any supplements I only supplement my body with food do you know what I'm saying um but with that being said there is a lot of like preparation and stuff like but I'm a single B BL I do all this stuff myself you know what I'm saying so you know mean if you have parents even or whatever you mean for younger folk or wife or whatever you mean even more better you know mean makes it even easier you get what I'm saying but all it is man is just like eat a diversity uh a diverse style of food without it being um dairy or meat that will yeah clearly boost your flipping body like the it's it's come to a stage now where it's not even like um a debate anymore like the plant-based di is clearly the best for the body and it I I don't know I'll just say no more on that no I actually read something somewhere that in China I believe it was all the I want to say poor people survived cuz they at grains where the rich people ate meat okay right there you go and you know what actually right CU I've been doing this so long I've seen MMA catch up with that cuz at the start when I was down everybody was thinking it was just mad all together you know what I mean yeah and then now like a few years ago you had flipping a game changer come out and then you had flipping H is is Nate vegan as well Nate years Nate years yeah do you know what I mean so it's only it's that idea is only like grown since I started especially in MMA do you know what I'm saying I want to say like one of the strong man winners as well he he I think 20 2020 the heavyweight flipping like lifter was it was a who pulls buses and all as well he he he's that like I said people need to people when they look at that diet they go oh it's just going to be broccoli and [ __ ] cauliflower carrots and [ __ ] veg whereas like you said there's so and there's so many recipes as well we're not going to go through them all you'll find them on you'll find it Google is your friend sometimes but we're going to move on this fight coming up your opponent like you said he said he he's going to finish it how do you feel coming into this fight he's 11 and one I want to say I keep saying that even though I know I've looked at it like so he's kind of on on the rise he's I think is he had lost about three or four fights back so he's going to be coming in he's on a bit of a role how do you want to like how do you feel about your opponent you obviously the fire's been lit because he said he's going to finish it but looking at from the outside you do you see where you can be obviously you're not going to say it now but do you see the areas where he lacks and where he's strong and do you have a game plan set out or will that more unfold over time closer yeah that that'll just unfold man I think it's just far too far right now for me to start setting any types of game plans in that way you know what I mean right now I'm just working making sure I'm super fit and I have a full arsenal of skills you know what I'm saying um but I lost you again um how do you feel about your opponent like obviously if you have a game plan as well and it actually brings us back to the Steven lman fight that the first time second time you said they actually he improve so much that he wasn't the same person so do you think it's important just to go out and impose your own game rather than worrying about someone else and just let John and Dave or whoever it may be do the study on your opponent and that's exactly what does happen you know what I mean even though I don't be looking at tapes they do do you know what I'm saying and obviously they will give me advice accordingly to to to what they you mean they know and how they think I can beat this guy and but what I do personally I just work on myself and make sure you know I mean uh I'm good enough when I get there to to beat the guy but at the same time I like I've trained with him obviously I know H and I seen H his improvements like in his fights like you know what I mean he used to just be a strong flipping [ __ ] puncher but now he's real nice Technical and stuff like that but that only makes it exciting for me man I want the F the best cursor there is do you get what I'm saying and and like people are kind of like I've spoken through a few people who are kind of looking at this fight like you like I'm the one that you I mean is the underdog in this and that I hope that is I hope that's the sentiment getting closer to the fight and during fight week if it stays like that I want that I want that to be a thing I want people to to be telling me like this guy is dangerous this guy is too this you know what I mean I want to be going into this fight feeling like that you know what I'm saying him saying he's going to finish me and like I'm not taking that in disrespectful way in that sense but I'm taking it as fuel you know what I mean just CA the flipping neck of this guy actually believing that he can take me out you know what I mean I'm just boost to myself with these type of things you get what I'm saying but um at the same time I don't take kindly to people people thinking they can finish me so we're going to see what happens in we're going to see what happens man but look imagine how much I'm going to eat my foot if he actually does finish me God right we we'll we'll do a heavy edit of his video we take this out but I'm going to let you go on thank you for your time there's going to be two questions I'm going to ask you one is like a three-part question because it's going to be what's your favorite fight what's your favorite finish and what's uh fight that you learn the most from and it could be a win or a loss cuz a lot of people usually pick a loss but it can be a win as well so your fight like whether it be your performance the atmosphere everything let me answer them right in concession yeah okay right right so favorite fight as in as in my own personal favorite fight yeah and it could be from either like that your performance whether it be the crowd like your debut or it could be a knockout or it could be whatever yeah I actually have good I actually it's it's my it's my fight against a guy I'm not going to name him actually because right that's the day I got my name from the the black mber from John and artham Lov yeah um so I was going into this fight and at the time I I still had the nerves yeah and um watching this guy go around he had to flip an Entourage with him like this is still an amateur yeah he had an Entourage with him man and the the Brazilians and they were going around and there was just an a around these guys and like you could just see he was feeling himself and he just thought he was was their business you know what I mean and everybody around them kind of did you know what I mean and um so I was like oh this is going to be a good one I'm I'm so glad to be testing myself already against a guy at this caliber that's what I had in my head you know what I mean cuz he looked the [ __ ] so we went into that fight and I just flipping mangled the blog something serious yeah and then got the name after that so I think the whole thing around that fight is stuck to me like cuz I I I remember only a select few fights and I remember that one kind of more like better than than most because um of of that whole thing do you get what I'm saying of how well I did and how I felt before it and then getting uh getting the whole being kind the Black Mamba thing you know what I mean it was all it a whole thing so I think that goes probably to my favorite fight for me yeah okay and then your favorite finish my favorite [Music] finish yeah probably say it was the one in Poland um against Jonah smard the flipping thing was clean yeah I'm not going to lie that whole fight like cuz from time to time I watch my fights and I'm like oh I don't like this this but that's one of my fights are watched now I was like [ __ ] that's some [ __ ] yeah so it was a fight in Poland they had um it was before I think it was the fight before come back to Global right and this guy was like the next guy to go into the UFC you know what I mean he's like he's one of the best in in Europe apparently well he was at the time I don't know what he's doing now but it was a hyped up enough fight obviously fair enough it was in Poland and all like a small enough um organization but like the whole like I think the fight lasted like a minute and a few seconds but the guy didn't land a punch or nothing like I literally just implemented my game as perfectly as I've ever done it right I landed a few strikes um I hit him with a right and I could just see his whole flipping demeanor change and I was like he's going to shoot right so I literally set him up for for him to shoot into me he shot into to me I caught him in the submission and I ended it and it was just the smoothest bleeding thing you know what I'm saying so that that's probably my favorite finish sounds like he probably got caught up in the phase of what you got caught up in your fight he was probably looking past you and then yeah and then then you I doubt it though I I really doubt it like at that stage I I doubt anybody would have been looking past me do you know what I mean cuz at that stage like it was still known that obviously the the world blah blah blah blah blah and then the training with Conner thing I don't think looking past me I don't think some people have egos but i' been no but to be honest actually yeah I think you might be right cuz I remember when we were done the face off he was just kind of like I [ __ ] I have you kind of thing and it's like you for real you know what I mean but yeah maybe I you I mean I never thought of that I doubt it but if that's the thing well could be well you got your favorite finish Al anyway my favorite Al I fight he learned the most from so whatever that may be yeah well obviously the not taking people for granted I think that's why why yeah and then the I think my loss against Steven lman as well the the second one they're flipping it was a championship fight it was a five round fight man that um and just learned you just got to keep going as you learn a bit you learn different things from all of them really you know what I mean I don't think there's one where that he says that that changed my but the Aiden James one did change my my idea of not like taking people for granted do you know what I mean no matter what you think mean no matter what you've seen them do or whatever you can't take them for for example like your man um Ben Kazi right that I fought in France like I seen him F car and all that but just kind of looking at them I just was like you don't have H for me but I was like nah you can't think like that because he just went three round with kard and card's a killer and I seen I was like I actually watched that fight and they were just throwing bombs at each other but for some reason I still felt like I had this guy and I kind of um I said to I told myself to not get too confident because this guy you I mean he brings power everybody was telling me he's strong you know I mean it's a ball it just keeps coming at you and I seen carard hit him with some mat [ __ ] and he just kept going so I kind of knew that finishing them wasn't probably going to be the way do you know what I'm saying um so yeah we's stop there with that and then the last question is when MMA is all said and done what how do you want people when they say your name France Malo how do you want people to think of you like what do you want to be remembered for I never even thought of that before man yeah know see I ask questions I ask questions I yeah yes yes I like that now to be honest I don't even think I can I can answer that but I suppose what people kind of already say is that like not saying it's a good thing but people always say like I'm like the nicest MMA guy there is is that like but it is someone else actually said that in an interview I want to say Conor McCarthy said because it changes the perception of what people think of Fighters maybe yeah true Evolution like and how it's gone so technical when you look back when it started it was just like when you had like your chu nadell or something like that I cage fighting yeah yeah whereas people see that your people now it is a good asset to have not just for being an M fighter but just in everyday life as well so it is a good answer and you can only answer to yourself and what you feel and and you're being yourself so I want to thank you very much for your time thank you it's been an absolute pleasure that was nice and I can't wait to see the fight let's go let's go
