the interview um do you want to talk to us about your last fight as well uh with Jess obviously for the belt and then we'll we'll move on to the next one so it was the decision Victory uh how did you feel coming out of that fight yeah if I felt good you know it was uh I hadn't thought I hadn't thought about a year before that fight and I'm not gonna lie I was a bit worried because like I knew skill ways I was battled on them but at the same time like he had fought like something like uh many times many times as he fought in the last year he's fought with 12 times or something he's I want to say he's far 16 17 times in two and a half years or something like me at those mod activity and like hey some people some people don't believe in ring rust I I do believe in her personally like I I feel like you have to be active in there you know and he I'm sitting on myself before that fight gone I haven't fought in a year here you know and uh he's been he's fought like 15 I don't know how many times like I was worried about the activity the activity um that I was just gonna was gonna take me away to get going on there and stuff and um but it just thanks giveaways it just depend off me you know I just feel it I'm I'm I was more I've been at this a lot longer on him as well so um but it was a tough fight at the same time like it wasn't easy it was not an easy but he's just he's really awkward to fight to be honest really really awkward it was a Paul book that he actually fought and he beat him as well and a lot of people who do do beat him and have fought him have actually said exact same things Judy said he's really awkward he's so hard to figure out and he's so kind of good at like if he sees you kind of doing well or something he's really good at like frustrating people and kind of shutting them down and well like that he got the victory once you got to bed like you said Jennifer on here and come back and fight and win a bet how did it feel to win the best obviously in that crazy crowd I love the devilish how did that feel yeah no it felt am I gonna lie I felt really really good I always kind of always I was always kind of saying myself I don't really care about answer about certainly mean anything but when you actually get one it is it is grip um so it was good to get that belt especially that kids can't [ __ ] whip up because uh I thought Jordan I thought that was like when it was about two years ago and I got I don't know if you say enough I like a triangle to open like the last minute of the fight and uh so I lost that now so then it was nice to kind of get back and uh they have a go at it again and the debate but to be honest the main thing was beating someone like DS Paulo because he's a lot of hype behind them and uh he's just a good a good guy to be in with and a good name the humble a good name the harbor went over as well you know um but yeah I was the lady to get the belt but Aussie I have your biggest critic you know performance ways I thought I thought I won the fight but at the same time it was all like I definitely could have done better you know but he's just so awkward the faith he's designed for them Entre rounds them three by three amateur rounds because he's got you against the cage and you're like I could fight to get out of this here and try and turn them and break off and strike and next thing you know you throw a strike in his bag he's back on you again so you're kind of like when I was when I was treating them I was like what the the Striking they're trying to break off and strike them or the wrestling I don't know which one to do here and I'm blue I'm running out of time you know what I mean at the same and also you're getting tired as well when this is all happening but that no I I was hopping off I was hopping off I was hopping off around too well I think I really I shown the difference there in the in the levels there I want to go on down to the ground he was can't he was trying to rule for that leg attack and I just I just think yeah I'm just then started land on the ground and pound um I felt comfortable on the fake one and I also see to be honest I felt wrestling wise tell you I felt that he's uh I felt wrestling waves like he didn't take me down like you know but it's not holding You Against the Cage some judges like I know we're moving we're moving towards damage now like that's the way that's what we're getting told naive if you read the judging crazy it's all about Diamonds dance but um some judges still scored out there holding against the kids you know um so yeah look I hear he's a tricky fight he's a tricky favorite animal fighting an amateur who's he fighting this weekend there's a thought he was supposed to be feeding up by Dire War he was I'm not sure exactly what happened with Dara Dara's been on a bit of a tear himself um he's a class fighter he's great he's very good I I watched that fight with him and Ryan Manning and I was there in the building and because obviously Brian Manning is a bit of a talker and then that reward is usually quite humble he came on my show and he was like that Awards or Dina Manning is [ __ ] delusional he thinks he got the best thing he's gonna he's gonna be sitting in the pub watching me years come and gone I'm gonna be the best thing that happened in his career he goes this is the end of it but it was just electric you could see the like Brian's only doing it two or three years but exceeded it Daryl was so calm but I wanted to see the Jess and thing but it's mantos who's a very good fight he's four and four he's finished all his fights he fights under here and Tavern obviously our SBG to remove those grappling his top top notch yeah and would you be staying around to watch the rest of the fights after your fight actually this weekend uh I don't know the pants on him sometimes I would sit about the staring and sometimes I get me out of here and I you know get get home and get a pizza and a paint against us um but that no I like to watch the Jazz fight Cambridge fighting who who have trained with for years and years he's gonna learn them on who we're both from the same place and then um Damien McGregor's favorite as well from fate Academy so I would like I would probably will stick around to be honest and watch the rest of the fights um all right that will be an interesting fact between Jess and I'll play Because all right because if he's from Karen Darwin stem he'll obviously like to play the ground and Jess likes to tear people to the ground so I will be interesting to watch yeah I think because he's his four fights have finished or wins have been submissions as well and it's all different submissions like scorpion lock or whatever so it's not the same one all the time and I think I was talking about this with Paul Brown I think Jess was kind of talking about opening up more striking wise and stuff like so this would be the fight to try and do that in as well so but you talked about Jamie mcguigan also on the card as well man what what happens he is that that kick at Akuma I was lucky I got it as it happened I was able to post it so I got there for everyone else but like what like the levels like kind of Karen Cuban was kind of The Fly Away amateur he was coming up then obviously here and got injured and Damon just slotted right into these high level fights like what's it like being in a gym like fight Academy just look at the talent coming out yourself your brother apologies I see in a fight got announced today for cage Warriors He's headlining there's so many guys right there's so many good fighters in that gym hey I've been training alongside on the marchworth for years and I have never even sparred them or ruled them harassable them like sir like for like for instance like if you look at Canada the flyweights up the the flavors bottomless and feather with Theta calamian I barely really spoiler trim on because I don't need that I've got so many guys around me on weight class to spar and train the guy walk into the gym like I've got like even just think of middleweights right I've got party McCoy kids Warriors professional my brother Sean who's Fallen kids wears professional middleware Kevin McClurkin kids Warriors professional who else you get Reese McKay there you go Troy Gibson you've got Jordan Ladies Night Train was Florida too you know like a show me we're getting we've got a big heavy in the gym called Dave um Big Dave and you know he's an All-Pro heavyweight it just hasn't been as active the last year just so many good guys I'm trying to think of I've just got we've got loads loads of guys in the gym the trailer and uh Mark who's fighting actually tonight over in Poland he's now training was he's professional well to win just the lava the the literally you could have four you got a four fave your training Partners missing and it doesn't matter you'll still have someone there you know like you know what I'd say most Fighters around Ireland too like around them small gems probably have to like text end of the group chat who's all going down the Sprints on that is to make sure someone their weight classes there you don't need to do that with Faith Academy you just rock up there's going to be someone there you know you can spot over but uh the lava look gay so it's unbelievable like you know let's see I mean we're working on Kieran Coogan damn gays like I have no doubt them boys be in the EFC like I don't say a lot about every every failure that I come across even like every fader and fade Academy like you you got gazer you think oh he'll do well and but uh will be a hundred percent in the UFC like they're only like I don't know what it is then boys are like 18 19 and they're like just the level that their game is unbelievable like you know so uh you know long after I'm retired I'll be I'll be they'll be in the UFC but yeah no I I think you're right as well and I think that that his cake went viral but I like what you said there but obviously you've got so many training powers in the smaller gyms and I like what I've seen from the smaller gyms the likes of just say SPG to the more uh see Mac do it they actually cross train a lot which is I think is quite beneficial the problem kind of might arise that's an altitude like if you want their match they might all were like train with him but they're not the same gym but I think I think the same it's essential to have these smaller gyms to bring people to because like smaller areas some not everyone might be able to get to Belfast or places in Dublin but I think the cross train and I think for those smaller gyms is the way to go because like that as well picking up new stuff of new bodies is always beneficial because you you're you just say you train with Jordan all the time you know he's going to Zig and you're gonna zag you know the sort of way but when you're someone new with kind of keeps you on your toes but you you came in this fight only got announced about two weeks ago I want to say it's a week ago this was a later announcement were you planning on were you trying to get on this card or did this just come about conflict and of all the week's case conference I got announced I'm away in Edinburgh Iowa um for I'm aware of family for a big birthday so not my birthday um someone else's birthday and that we're all worried about eight of us going away and I just didn't actually thinking go on his convict hasn't been announced yet I hope I hope it's not announced for uh for November 4th what did they get announced I got a nice November 4th and then they had marched me up against Cher Latham so I was posted to Fan the middleware title against CLA though and I just said here lies are bad news so that's then all of a sudden but um case confer got announced and I was like well [ __ ] I I don't think I'm going to get an offered him before the end of the year because there hasn't really been that many other shows announced for the rest of the year and uh I was kind of looking at kids Legacy I was all [ __ ] I wonder if anyone drops everyone in Facebook and then next thing you know pot tax me going do you want to fight daggling ran on uh in Yuri on um they are it was like the text me like a week or two ago on like two weeks notice and I said I forgot let's go you know get this one in and just stay active because of this activities everything you know and they're I haven't been active enough and I just need to be more active enough because if you're not active you can train all year round you know and but you need to you need to be active like it's like it's like it's like a margin training all year round to kill football and not playing any time with chipmasters you know what I mean you need to be in that kids fighting it's just it is different like it's just so that's why that's why I jump on to be honest it's simply because kids conflict I'm aware that weekend so that's why I decided it goes forward and that is the worst look ever that November 4th the one day he didn't want it is the one day it happens but I can't even watch it either oh I can watch it on stream like you know but I'll be in Edinburgh when it's on yeah you wouldn't really enjoy you wouldn't enjoy either one of them if you're trying to do two at the one so I'd say just get the get it the next day and watch it while it while you're hung over if you'll be hung over I think so I think that's the plan is it it's a good it's a good card it's a good show it'll be your first time on on uh yeah you'll find championship and I know it's that's a lot more the a lot more the Fai lines around it now Damien was on it before Corey's banana and it's good to see that make sure how would you feel about fighting on the show obviously Dicky's a fighter and I think he'd run it similar to cage conflict that he takes care of the fighters have you had any interactions with him or is it was just you need to fight goal how did you feel about performing on on his show on your Fighting Championship yeah it's it's it's it's one of I think it's probably looking at all the shows and all the shows in Ireland are great you know it's great to have all of them but without a doubt when it comes to the actual level of matches kids conflict and that issue is without a doubt the two top I think you know there's a lot of good shows right there but I mean like looking at the yard like looking at the level of Fates in the QR that's definitely it's always been popular you know and uh I was actually supposed to fight on this show back in apriler I actually took a fight do you remember there's Daniel remember Daniel Drisco fought selling Coakley yeah that fight right so Daniel Driscoll was sad to fight who was he said the Fate I don't know I don't know I'm not sure who he was supposed to fight he was supposed to fight someone read and they pulled out on awake notice so I then said I step in so I stopped and it was announced right announced and everything I started on a week notice [Music] got my Bloodstone and the doctors has made your Bloods I says I'm fighting this this Sunday whatever Saturday or Sunday when we blows me back in time for that and he says um there might not be it's like 50 50 where the Bloods will come back in time before uh before the show and that's the [ __ ] what I'm gonna do so I ended up attacked and daggy and explaining them here as I'll daggy I've got my miracles on my past it I'm just waiting on my Bloods I says it's 50 50 where they're gonna come back right but at the same time that that had got Ankeny he was part of the failures to get tagged out of sight sounding cochlear instead was looking to step up but I got there first so then that is all he and first the dagger he explained he's a lucky girlfriends he's ready to go can you can I um kind of chance you don't have to put salmon instead of yourself and as already know but I understood I understood like I stand on so that happened literally the day before the Fate my Bloods came back nothing came back um I was like [ __ ] sick and then sounded quickly went a little bit [ __ ] sick you know but that but that's that I was supposed to fight on the show then back it was so they finally fight on this time is good everything's don't look up I've got my medical and Bloodstone so from the last case conflict so I'm ready to go yeah that is it but the thing is if you didn't say to decky what would have happened is they wouldn't have arrived and you'd be telling them in the day at a fight or the day before and then you know that wouldn't be good but like that you're finally getting on it you want to stay active you were talking about cage Legacy there as well uh a lot of Fighters I've noticed obviously from oh no I don't fight down south because obviously like you have to get brain scans and stuff like that I know that you've got the CE SS and I and they've got all the the populate that like what you make of the likes of the headstands because it's expensive enough for an amateur but on a health and safety side as well I think one every year might be a bit more I think if if you've had a bad concussion or maybe when you're starting your journey maybe to get a scan and they should help you out with a discount or something off but what you make of the likes of the headstands and stuff do you think is it was at so um his legacy it was back and it was like March or April 2021 right and this is like when we're just slightly coming out of the lockdown right and uh I don't think there had been any really shoes it I'm not sure what date it was I'm not because I'm not sure no it wasn't it was 2021 started 2021 we're still in Canada in lockdown you after Christmas and uh here's the Legacy announced the show that we're going to do it behind closed door show and me and Sean we jumped on it and uh we got Mods the Fate do you know the McCarthy the Crowley twins from Cork yeah yeah so I ended up fighting I ended up fighting Sean McCarthy there like last year and kids can't [ __ ] beat him but so we I used to have to fight Sean McCarthy Sean was set up the fake Chris McCarthy and uh it was a real good car I'd like to start up so we went and got Margo Stone brain scans a whole lot paired like I'm also forked up probably I think I've had about 400 quid or something and three days before that that um that show with caught we're not caught with because the same day when super we got our way down gradually you know data for it and uh three days before it got pulled the Irish government pulled the show so and here never got to use them Brands counts they Sean he didn't turn pro later on there so he technically got to use the brands counts I never return proof so I didn't even get to use my brain scale so uh that was just money at least I know my brains healthy anywhere but before that that was a waste of money there yeah because I had tearing on and he had issues with it because they seen something they weren't sure what and I agreement if they see something they're not sure I think they are right to say look I don't think you should fight because he got his like the week up and if I was going to a doctor and they seen something nice was fine I'd rather say look we're not sure here but we'll see I I understand the point of doing it but like that every year the expense of it it's hard not to be an amateur fighter between Food Training everything else um so like that okay it's so expensive it's so expensive man and you know do you know what the big the big thing about it is right is like especially this day is like where a lot of guys especially a lot of the guys who are high level launchers and like are maybe starting another Pro they likes myself I could easily pack this in right now and just PT and Coach you know because I was doing that I was doing that like a year ago I was just coaching taking pods and you know you can really make a good your good money on the side from that or you can make a full-time job out of it and but it's like I'm the I'm a full-time job and you know to do that and then also train anime for a fight you just can't do it it's too much to juggle you know so it's like you're given up working a second job to pursue this MMA this MMS the the compete in the sport and then and then even just driving down the road we had to train the whole thing you know and the cost of fuel it is it's expensive doing medicals it is it is there like it is there but you know we used to it for the love of them you know it's that is what I suppose I suppose killed footballers and stuff too and you know they're kind of they're not getting they're not getting paid either but I suppose that MMA maybe we'll just obviously we're training a lot harder route it's a lot it's a lot more of a commitment like the most sports but that is tough man it's tough notice of and that's why I admire you and especially the amateurs not that I say I don't write the pros because like that you have a full-time job you're trained and like set me twice a day to do that with a job and that is hard and the sacrifice that's why I kind of started this because I I talked to a fighter and and I've seen like like he's just a normal person and the sacrifices that you actually have to give up though is amazing but I don't let you go because I know obviously the fight's coming up soon you're gonna have to start cutting weight um are you planning on fighting again before the end of the year if so I can send you a list of shows that are on for the rest of the year what what show what shows What shows have been announced for the rest of the year uh I know Jackie actually I think has one for December your fight right uh chaos I want to say that's October though um I think Kay's Legacy will probably go again December I think Premier FC uh which is another one down south they have the big massive like UFC size cage uh yeah yeah I think they're looking at the same but they haven't announced anything but from what I've heard uh just fit to fight which is like kind of it's a novice but talked what amateurs Damian won the belt there um I don't think Akuma or that Clan Wars is like in in a week or a week and a half but once I don't know what I'll go I'll see can I populate a list because I'm gonna show it up there because you're not the only one lots of people text me do you have lists you have a list I'm like no I don't so I'm gonna get one I want to wish you the best luck for your fight obviously hopefully we get to see you again I'll send you that list and you can obviously see see what you want to do uh best of skill this weekend is there anything you want to say before you go or anyone you want to shout out before you go and uh yeah are you going to the shore yeah you got me there yes I I've been to I started I went to the second one and I haven't missed one of them since because Nori for me is like an hour and 15 up the road it's not like so when you go to Belfast and you're going in and like this is it's literally you're just over the Border you're in it's a nice nice to get Park and then back out like it's like when I leave I'm like right it's only gonna be an hour before I get home so I'm trying to make it to as many shows as possible but it's getting with like that with the cost of fuel and stuff and if they're on a Sunday hopefully it finishes early because I work at five o'clock in the morning so I hope this one is early enough but I I think this one is going to be earlier I think it's it's a it's a lot less Fates too I'm hoping that guy last case come back like four half twelve at night I'm hoping I'm hoping I should be honest I would fate the first fate of the night you know put me on because that last case conference as a second last fight at like 27 Fates I had Faith I'd be the first fate just first fate in oh get the experience and then uh thank you yeah if you get us yeah that's exactly what's going to happen but that no hair um this came like halfway in between Belfast in Europe so I can get I can get there in 35 minutes or so so it's not too bad but uh no it'll be a good night and uh yeah hopefully my fight's a good faith because I know your mom daggling around he likes to he like he's always in Canada good faith so um yeah it'll be a good night you know it is a good night fights I can't wait to uh see you again in person and see you fight in person it's been an absolute pleasure to have him Shout with you again uh or again not again hopefully we have another one fairly soon thank you bro
