[Music] [Applause] [Music] all right um he everyone uh welcome back uh we are here at the iur Fighting Championship um today is Alish it's uh today was the excuse me this is the first uh I think the only women's fight or woman female fight more but it was PA yeah with the Kyle Sullivan and I forget her yeah uh I think Chloe injy or sick or something yeah um any look happy to have you on everyone so this is Al she took her Victory against Joanna uh where is it at I cannot Joan Calio yeah Calo yeah um from Team locomotiva my friend Edson um so look this is your first MMA fight yeah how was it going into it um well sorry actually first of all congratulations on your win of your first MMA fight um so how was it going into this like how did you how did you feel uh felt good going into it I've had a few myai fights this year and um I mainly would have competed Jiu-Jitsu before that okay so it was nice to kind of get to mix everything in together um I wasn't really sure what way it was going to go because I know Joanna is more of a tie background so I thought she'd want to keep it standing and that kind of is what happened um but no it was good I felt really prepared going into it so nice to come out with the win excellent yeah um now you pretty much controlled most of that fight um you were on top of most of and I think it was the second round you're laying pretty heavy hands yeah um how'd that feel yeah sorry how' that feel to be like kind of in control of pretty much everything um yeah I felt really strong in any of the positions I had and I thought maybe I could have finished it I know SE was out and was go for the AR bar in the first round and yeah you almost got you had like maybe 30 more seconds you probably would have nailed it but it's not something that I really would go for in training so that's why I kind of when he said it but um no it it was good and I did feel like that like was in control um but was looking for the Finish awesome um so you had all three rounds all three rounds went your way uh that's certainly got to be feel pretty good especially like it with your debut fight yeah um what what are your plans what are your plans next uh take whatever I can get um I'm looking for like thae um and MMA fights obviously and then the Europeans for Jiu-Jitsu are in January so I was thinking about going for that as well really just keep rounding out my game and work on everything for the minute um what weight do you normally is this the weight you normally fight it uh type 57 yeah this is flyweight but normally TI I know in this country it's difficult for women to find opponents how how difficult was it for you to set this point up um well I have been looking for a while and I know I had another match set up a couple of weeks ago but that one was pulled as well there is a lot of girls around I think competing it's just kind of getting the right time and you know the right shows for everyone yeah yeah working it out but like there's massive numbers coming up even in Jiu-Jitsu Tha and like it's great to see so the more we can get out the better excellent one last question you can get on here just uh you know what what Drew you to Combat Sports and why do you stick with it why do you put yourself in there to get beat up in black eyes and stuff I know yeah crazy um I would have played all sports growing up uh football dancing everything and then I always wanted I did jju years and years ago just was Club um in Longford I'm originally from there okay and then it stopped and I wanted to get back into it um so I actually started in KF in Dublin and then I'm living in dul now so I moved to Tes but like it's such an amazing community and like the mix of backgrounds that come into it and like everyone's working for each other like everyone wants to see everyone do better in it like it's it's great and the club with the minute are brilliant like the lads are they all tonight supporting as well and everyone wants to see everyone get better like there's no one's in going oh I want to be better than them it's like let's make everyone better um and yeah it's just as great like the mix of Ages and like backgrounds and everything do you notice more women in your gym than from when you started yeah absolutely and um like trying to pull a few more guards into the tie but like there's a great jiu-ju um group going and there's a ladies class on Sundays like Kimberly runs that and there's a couple more competing as well and like she's great for getting girls out as well so it's yeah definitely awesome uh you know I love I think mu Tha in general for women especially from like self-defense aspect is like really good because you get to learn a lot of significant strikes um you know and I think it's awesome and I I hope to see the numbers of women uh increase in your in your gym and not Absolut all over the place not gym but you know what I mean um look again congratulations I don't want to steal too much of your time you know go have fun enjoy the rest of the show thank you very much appreciate your time thank you so much yeah no problem have a good one oh
