The National Sports Development Fund awarded 236 million baht to the Thai national team after winning 52 medals at the 2026 Asian Games. Deputy Prime Minister Thongsak Thongsiri presided over the prize ceremony for athletes, coaches, sports associations, and officials who took part in the 20th Asian Games “Aichi–Nagoya 2026” in Japan, with Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) Governor Prodpan Samanmit, SAT Deputy Governor for Sports Promotion Surasak Koetchanthuek, SAT Deputy Governor for Excellence Sports and Sports Science Pricha Lalun, SAT Deputy Governor for Professional Sports and Boxing Somchot Mingkhamlert, National Sports Development Fund Manager Thunukiat Chanchum, SAT executives, sports association executives, and athletes attending the event at PAVILION A, 8th floor, Grand Four Wings Convention Hotel, Bangkok, on 8 October 2026. The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), together with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the National Sports Development Fund, held the prize ceremony for athletes, coaches, sports associations, and officials to congratulate and honour the Thai team’s outstanding achievements, bringing renown and national pride to Thailand from the 20th Asian Games “Aichi–Nagoya 2026” in Japan. The Thai team won a total of 52 medals—18 gold, 13 silver, and 21 bronze—ranking 7th in Asia and 1st in the ASEAN region, marking another major milestone for Thai sport on the international stage. The Thailand Mixed Martial Arts Association earned 1 gold medal and received prize money totalling 3,000,000 baht,
