okay so i mean uh see mac here today i'm with ryan higgins uh for anyone who doesn't want to know you you want to just uh just tell them who you are and your fight record so far yeah my name is rowan higgins until now as an amateur player and uh that's it really yeah yes and obviously you train here i see mac alexander sullivan uh deborah sullivan you've got jordan ross uh kikyo and a host of youngsters coming through so it's an exciting time for the gym um how did your first two fights go obviously i know your first one was a heavyweight your second was that light heavyweight you were fighting hard to get matched talks to your first fight on the first play was it was crazy because i was trying to flee a little heavily and i was a after calvin i was 120 kilo and i was just heavy looking and i lost out of the way got down to 93 i meant to fight it fella from fao and then he pulled out the free and then they were like we have a heavyweight day if you want and i was like i'm 93 kilo like and i said come on i'll go to 100. yeah i will go up to 100k and i said he has 20k i want to be i'll be faster so i took it and i went in and finished him in 20 seconds i think i landed 40 strikes i just kept hitting him i just landed like one here one just kept on swinging and swinging and swinging and he got the finish here once he dropped to his knees the referee just stopped it so it was a good good experience for our davey yeah no it was obviously to get it through so quickly and that and then finishing the fact faction you're kind of you're stamping your name on the scene as you come in and then your second flight which is in the crowd for which i really want to talk about was possibly it was my fight at night there was no grappling uh what i liked was there was no grappling exchanges two big labs went three rounds talk is true to fight yourself how you felt oh it's crazy hey yeah my opponent was saying leading to the fleet that i'm going to be a panic wrestler so he said to myself when i'm in here with him or i'm not going to shoot at all i want to let him know i'm not here to be a grappler i'm here to streak so i was assuming it's the same as before you started he caught me straight away and you see me wobble you get wobbly and i i was just like ah i'm still not gonna shoot i'm still gonna shoot when i'm sitting on it i want to shout him and i put that there's still a pressure on just kept on trying the volume of volume and it got tired and then by the end of the flight he was on he was sitting down in the middle of the cage wrecked and i always just stand up fresh ready to go again so it was some experience like he hired him he hit like a truck but i just hit him more that's how i got the win yeah no because i've seen you vote after fighting your ball pretty scuffed up actually like the pattern the fight was that yeah actually i think he posed to say where you're like walking across the cage saying like what like yeah well what i put my hands out yeah it was a that was my diaz moment i got into the sport because of the ideas uh i seen him be conor mcgregor and he has a similar ability to me he's tall and long and it doesn't look like a typical foyer you're a typical fighter it looks like big or mostly enough and i was like if this fella can do it or you can do it too and uh that's how it started off in mma it was because of an ids and i still think it's brother nick he's my favorite player ever like them here with empty inspired me to be where i am now that's that's actually quite refreshing to hear because when you talk to most people in ireland it's because of conor and you've picked someone who's beat connor yeah um but then again his personality is it's so intoxicating let's say it's because you just view him as someone that's just like anyone else like a regular guy jonathan way and the same accountable more so with nate it's because he just doesn't give a [ __ ] really that's it he doesn't care that's yeah and like nick diaz is the same you see them sticking their middle fingers up when they have people in triangle jokes that's the energy i want to ring the feet and it seems at the end of the photo i was pointing at the cage yeah that was the same was just like that's my idea it's coming um going forward you've got two fights books do you want to tell the people about where they are what weight they are and then opponents if the opponents have been announced yet if you're allowed to say yeah i'm a fighting on july 22 on cage conflict against a fellow called thomas dawn or thomas dundeen i don't know the game he gave us two different names but uh he's i think he's going to be a craplock because he's from fao so they're a wrestling heavy club so uh going to go out there going to sprawl and bro stop this take down to keep it on the feet and just let it move do i did we last a pound just keep that pressure crown punches and bunches and walk the body more this time because i just head hunted a bit him which in that last week and then i'm fighting on august 20th on premiere fc against the sean mccarthy from spg clark and he's actually fighting my last opponent in july yeah yeah so they're fighting so i'll be watching klaus to see how sean farrell is a karate world champion original champion but this is mma it's not correct so it's that that'll be a good fee can't wait for that one that's gonna be that's gonna be stand up for now grappling that's gonna be the same as me and pr that's gonna be that's gonna be an absolute banger so you've had a fantastic start to start your career uh you go down you're being quite active as well as all the boys here in cmax seem to be um obviously i just talked to alex i just want to ask you a question alex alexander sullivan what does he mean to you as a coach he's more than a couch he's like a brother a big brother team even though we're the same age he's like our master splinter in here it's like a big family scene like it's like all the other clubs are very big so it's hard to have like that family feel but here there's only a handful of us so we're all real close and then having alex is like just watching over over all of us and he'll still spot out things like on the spot that they're doing wrong like anyway my last week i was trying those hooks and my opponent was shelled up and when someone shelled up you want to chuck straight shots and alex just said to me material straight shots only from that one and i just kept on trying straight shots didn't travel single hook after that and then i actually started landing a lot more than on my pounding so he's just he's a brilliant coach the same with his mom uh deborah deborah's like are all the four are second moms he's like like she's like mommy to us all over here and she's uh she's a brilliant kickboxer too so she teaches those song cakes like you seen the question mark can't go through back up here i wasn't as good as his one though he landed the noise from me voiced the land of my own back and that was there that was our lay from debbie yeah no it's good i i like the dynamic of deborah and alexander and he spoke about them maybe the first two i'm duo that have fought in it um and like that you get the family atmosphere from here i've talked to yourself i have good relationships with all the fighters here so uh it was i wanted obviously we've had a chance i want to come see you in person i've enjoyed your first two fights i can't wait to see your next two and i can't wait to see the future for you is there anything you'd like to say before we go
