[Music] foreign once again I'm joined by Mr Irish MMA Mr Paul Brown off the back of a successful weekend and it's going to be another successful weekend with another show of cage Legacy hasn't been around this year to be the first show two massive debuts professional debuts use Gary Rooney Max Lali which we'll get on to later on the show but there's a host of other uh fighters on this card that are quite exciting it's sold out so they're saying at the minute it sold out I believe yesterday the pay-per-view is gonna be through the roof we've got Sean abandoned on commentary does a whole lot going on how are you and how are you feeling about this show because obviously you're going to be one of the voices on it as well with Sean and Phil yeah really looking forward to it uh it's going to be great like we've got a solid team there now on the um on the commentary desk so uh that the card is stacked it's uh it's gonna be really cool so looking forward to it excited you know I got a I came home yesterday from the Euro fight championships after a great note of fight and the adrenaline is still flowing so let's just keep this ball rolling I got cage Warriors Manchester on Friday and then back to Italia for uh cage Legacy on Saturday can't wait yeah knows that you're a very very busy man uh a lot busier than me and like that going to do all the other shows as well cage Warriors must be Savage but this weekend we've got cage Legacy there's obviously there's the undercar the main card I must say for the restrictions that they have for like the day of way and I think that sometimes a lot of Fighters and later in the career don't really want to fight they've got something really good Fighters here and some really good matchups um and they always like that they always have some new Fighters as well the star is usually born on one of these shows and you know yourself something crazy always happens on one of these shows you had like the Norris head kicked that time at Trico Play It's just Madness something there's usually one thing that usually kind of goes viral from this show yeah yeah absolutely um seven fights on the main card the main card is pretty beefy and some real talents on there like you said the proof too Pro debuts few titles up for grabs some really well matched fights can't wait to see it yes yes so do you want to get going we're not going to go through every single fight but we're going to touch on a couple of prelims talk heavily more on the main card and obviously the pro debut so where would you like to start well I'll just do a quick highlight of two of the prelim voice that I'm really looking forward to and then maybe just like those for it one by one but uh on that one of the ones that stands out for me and and you you and anyone who's around it Irish MMA team will know this it's a debut technically a debut fight for both amateur Fighters but it's not really a debut for either of them they've both built up a hell of a lot of novice experience you've got Evan Horrigan of MMA Cork and he's taking on Alex kill SBG nice so Evan is 19 I think and he just won his first novice belt last month it was a really good display against Dave Armstrong on virtus um and then we've got uh Alex Kyo if you've been around the scene you'll know Alex from competing now at underage level teen level uh one of sergey's uh Sergey krakowski's um wrestling prodigies down on SBG H recently also trained in killcliffe for a couple of weeks over in Florida so he's a real real talent both of those guys are stepping in their uh Horgan's wrestling was very very good in his first display there against Armstrong so this is an official adult level debut at amateur level and uh I'm I'm excited to see how this one plays so and the headline slot under preliminary card there's a couple of good Fighters here Darren O'Brien and Paddy Moore and Paddy horse is a teammate of mine Darren has you know a decent amount of striking experience as well as his four amateur MMA builds and he's fought some good names just look on his record today's you know he lost his debut to Ronan Deegan he's fought against the likes of hey no Boyle and Jake gilkin as well so he has a one and three record but he's been tested you know and that's what amateur MMA is all about um as well as you know as I said plenty of kickboxing matches okay one matches in that Paddy Morin similar two and four record but again he's been tested by some real tough opponents lost his debut to Alex Joe Sam and he had uh you know yeah his last book was October in 2022 he's had a couple of belts fall through since um had his recently back from a couple of months training in Thailand as well so he's a difficult cell part he's a tough guy to spare against he's he's a handful and I likes it I like just watching how much he's improved over the last uh the last year or two so interesting to see how that one goes well one cell doesn't surrounded away we're into the the beefy stuff on the card we're into the main card seven belts which is quite a chunky main car but it's going to be good fun yeah it is it isn't like that it's got you've got the main card you've got a couple of titles you've got the the female fight as well which I'm really really excited for especially after back of last night what we've seen and then then coming up obviously it was from this for the start in order do you want to just go through a fight that is this that is the kickoff for the main character yeah yeah the girls are kicking off the main card we've got Ava Cruz and Kiel Sullivan and that's a rematch and I think it was Nakia won the first one back in 2020 yeah December 2002 no sorry January I had the date on it somewhere there no it was in 2021 anyway but um she got the win over Eva Ava's improved a hell of a lot over the last couple of years now so this is a really interesting match and she's been interestingly picking up a lot of uh experience on grappling cards like she's on Grappler Kings a couple of times both of them Jiu Jitsu I believe and uh it's hard you know she got that stoppage win over Nicole Cameron earlier this year so you know she's wrecked up some good experience eight amateur fights under her belt um K.O Sullivan is three in one and and I hope I'm pronouncing that name I think it might be Kaya it might be powerful but I might be right right I did voice note or to check this so I hope she gets back to me because I don't want to get it wrong about commentary that bugs me boy there um yeah an interesting match between the two girls and uh someone said to me last night as I was getting in to read the scorecards after the Sarah Elliott Sheridan and uh Neymar Dyson fight was like if if you want to see a good knock you put two women in the cage like so uh the girls have a good Prime spot here opening up the main card and no doubt they're gonna bring it you know yeah and I've been talking to Ava and she was saying because this is tala this is where she's from she recently like said competed their Graphics Queens where she was successful in it's very rare that these girls or these guys from Dublin get these shows end up like you know the mostly up north a lot of the girls especially need to go over for IMF competitions to get competition that's not the case now but over the past couple years it has been because there hasn't been as much competition but as as we've seen it's growing and grown so this is going to be a hell of a knock like you said she's not the same fighter that got beat all those years ago she's improved and she's for the super cup she's for IMF she's she's far everywhere so it's gonna be a cracker of a fight yeah yeah really good slot for the two girls and like you were saying there it's not many shows in Dublin this is the first one of the year in Dublin uh I think isn't it so um like it's the end of September now so it's been the last one I believe was um Premier premiere on cage Legacy dated shows in December in Dublin and there hasn't been one since so good to have it back and I'm a talent man now too so I'm I'm there it's a HomeTown show for me for Ava and for me so looking forward to a five minute stroll across the road to get to the venue so this will be your shortest journey to and from a venue from a show ever yeah there's a bridge right out there goes across the M50 so if the weather is good I might just walk to the venue uh just in case but yeah that's a cracking fight and then what fight is up next after that uh flabberg fares and Hakeem cancerless so it was originally meant to be fares against Jake Noy for the bantamweight title uh that's a fight I'd still love to see if they can get that one back on at some point but pharah is now has a new opponent Hakeem cancel it who he faced at the enma four nations earlier this year and it went a full round it was shaped enough to be a brilliant fight unfortunately there was an eye poke an accidental eye poke so I think what they did was they went to the scorecards because around had been completed um and then I think Farah has won a decision but um it was it was a really entertaining round while it lasted so they get a chance to run it back now King cancer is very young he's well this is record one and two lost his debut belt to Jake and I earlier in the year then he went through four nations he won his first bout and then had the next day he had to come up against Ferris so that's the only um adult level MMA experience he's had but he has competed a hell of a lot in grappling about but he's he's won quite a lot of things and um you know he's he's he's he's training a long time what is he he's uh he's 19 and he's been trained in six years so you know he's not he's not not too fresh-faced um and he's up there gets fire as far as his I think no one is 10 damage or fight um of course thought that for this title against giorgi rosav in December in what was a brilliant fight and I think that one I'm not mistaken with to a split decision because I've got the victory but it was a really entertaining scrap so I'm hoping this one can uh can match those standards yeah I find with Harris he is such an entertaining fighter he's such a kind of excite excite I want to say like he's just ex when you talk to me when he's just exuberant he's just there's a Zara from his phone he's good fun and and he fights like that as well and he enjoys fighting like I want to say three of his wins have come from submission two or three of his wins uh so we know he's very good on the ground obviously I know what happened at the four nations I think I'd seen there's a couple of comments going around on a couple of posts as well I think there seems to be a little split between some of him and some of the other guys in with what happened because he came out and said Akeem was able to continue and he chose not to so he chose not to fight anymore was what he said so there looks to be a little bit attention boy look to this one and he's no stranger to it versus he was getting booed he's fought in the UK UK quite a bit so he he put up a policy he wants to come up to dial it stubborn silence the crowd and take the belt and it's gonna be a phone phone fight while at last if it goes to three rounds as well I'm not sure if it will but hopefully it does because they're both exciting Fighters coming into this fight yeah there was a bit of spice about it and even Dan harody was on which podcast was done last week PT Carroll's podcast the crack and he was on with PT and he was talking about potential Fighters you know coming from Ireland and he actually mentioned that specific fight at the four nations he said that um you know how impressed he was with both guys and he would love to see them run it back at some point and I was talking to him the next day actually and uh um I let him know that this fight is actually made and it's happening you know and uh Dan's gonna be watching so um he's got it he's taken a shine to Boko is he really liked their style you know so that's a yeah really interesting one you know and that that Phantom weight titles up for grab so and that's the first of the title fights on the main card the one that comes after that now this one's uh a kraken scrap what a matchup Vladimir stanker and Ryan Keel for the lightweight title I think correct me if I'm wrong Ryan kill won the Federal Way title in December yes wasn't it the featherweight title so now he's moved up and he's looking to to claim the lightweight strap as well because there was like a lightweight super Federal Way or there was there was a title he won and I wasn't sure but it looks like he's moving up right here with someone he was out for a long time injured and I think people just forget how good he is like he is super super impressive um like who did he come back against her face I think it was Justin he bet just stand for the title wasn't it yeah yeah I believe I think it was guillotine wasn't it he called him in and uh just down against the fence and it was a brilliant performance like Josan is an absolute handful but he that was that was in December cage Legacy 18 the one in the big top and that was the last time he's fought uh he's got a Jiu-Jitsu brown belt since and he had a period training over in Thailand as well so I'm interested to see how much he has upskilled like he already had I think it's like six submissions out of his record as Aiden three and yeah six submissions and a TKO and one decision the only one person that was able to go to distance with him I think was Lewis Byrne if I'm not mistaken so um that just shows the level that he is at he's uh he's a real real talented Fighter um only guys like Rooney as a loss to Keith Kyo and that and so you know it takes uh it takes a lot to get past him uh Vladimir stanky though I mean he's just blown everyone away with his level of performance on The Amateur scene over the last year so his debut was in September last year and that was it coincidentally that was against Alex Josan that was an absolute chaotic fight as well lots of crazy grappling exchanges I think he got to get a team in that one and maybe it was Ryan kilcard a triangle on Joe satanic I might be might have been getting them mixed up um he's got wins over Brendan Branigan Jack tour and Cormac burn since um came up short against um Tyrion and Locker in there of course in his last battle in July but another man who's really dangerous in the in the grappler and a couple of rear naked jokes was naming that Guillotine of course so he's wild and he's fast in the scrambles and some of the performances have just been like mind-blowing so I'm rich this one's kind of like there we saw the one yesterday with Kieran Brady and Ross quarney where saying on commentary I I really hope that this hits the mat as quickly as possible and this fight is pretty much the exact same thing I want to see what these two guys look like against each other on the ground and no kickboxing in this one Lads just one year's Paul Garrett and let's go yeah no I think it will be I think it will be like says Danka has really impressed like I said he's coming near so this will be his ninth fight within the year then I believe he's for uh eight eight fight he's a five and two records sorry sorry so this is eight it's gonna be his a fight I think he fought once over from probably four uh somewhere but on the shows that he's been on here like I said he's been prepared to come in against Alex Johnson and when Alex Johnson when he came in they say Zeppelin Alex Johnson was on that absolute hair I believe and I think I think he might have been like four or no or something like that yeah still on defeated and like I said it was chaotic fight but that Phantom gym there's just something about him they're just so explosive to just the wrestle heavy and they're so good at locking up submissions when they get the chance and he's the same we've seen what his younger brother is capable of doing as well so this I don't think this will go the distance and I think it'll be on the ground but whoever is whoever wants it more and whoever gets who in in the worst position I think and and locks it up but like you said with Jason it went back and forth it looked like Jocelyn was going to finish at one stage then he finished so this could be a crazy matchup yeah yeah Style's big fight and this one just the bokos are really entertaining MMA Grapplers they're aggressives they both go for the finish so uh they both have uh you know a good amount of submissions on the record so someone's most likely gonna get submitted um and I think yeah for for anyone who's into their their Jiu Jitsu for MMA you like set likes to see guys who can put people away on the map that I think this is going to be a treat you know yeah no it definitely definitely is this is one I can't wait for because like that Ryan was there last year but he was out for a period of Duty injury and it was like that MMA is a Sporter you're only not as good as your last fight but if you're not fighting people don't really talk about you and I think that might be in his benefit that he might come back and try and shock someone and that's what happened when he came back last year so we'll see what happens this year yeah yeah well um the next one we've got coming up after that is the interim Welterweight Title so you've got Jack Newman facing off against uh Rihanna Flaherty now you've got two guys there that have I think Newman has two MMA belts into his name and Flaherty has three so he's got a two and one record two really really opposing Styles Jack Newman of course announced himself to everybody when he made his debut in December on cage Legacy 18 and I interviewed him a couple of days beforehand and I sort of said what can we expect on Saturday he said our first first round knockout and he just called it like so he called a shot and he went out there and he got to finish in seven seconds against Michael pilo so there was a head kick and follow-up and punches and displayed a lot of power you got to finish then in his second battle in June and that was on cage conflict or Clan Wars I think it was Clan Wars so he's a guy that's coming in with a good handful of K1 fights under his belt as well and clearly you know got some really dangerous striking the opponent he's got has leaned very very heavily on his wrestling so far so he's got a two-in-one record all of his fights all three of his fights were on cage Legacy he fought on cage Legacy 15 16 and 17 and then he wasn't there for 18 in December so he's back now so it's his Ford fight and all four of them they're going to be on the same promotion and he got a TKO win over Matt Curtis in his debut last summer then he lost a decision to Shay leatham which I thought at the time was an amazing performance of Shay Lecom was uh Flaherty was kind of getting him to defense a lot but what just could not get him down and lethal was doing great at reversing them and Landon damage and shots brilliant performance uh he then won a decision in last September against Nile Tucker to get back to winning ways but we haven't seen him since so um I think he comes through he has Richie smallen in his coroner doesn't he he's uh he's got a good team behind him he's one of Richie smallens guys the little time off let's see what he's added to his game you know and he's going to need to be able to close the distance he's going to be need to be able to get a hold of Jack Newman a fighter with that sort of fast twitch power you just can't stand in the end range you can't get into kickboxing range with them um you're at risk there so expect to see one fighter trying desperately to take the other one down and it'll all be a little hinge on who gets to impose their game better yeah and like you said Jack Newman is a stat fast starter I think his his second knockout was quite quick as well um but that fight you talked about with she she actually rocks uh Reen with a head kick I believe at one stage didn't he had him again and he didn't go down um I actually bumped into reading I was doing an interview with a guy and he was only after finishing an interview and I was kind of like what's how are you what how was things you get back fighting and I think he took that time to period off just to just to upskill so it's going to be good to see what he comes back with they said he was very good if he can impose his style more he knows what he's going into with this fight Jack is going to come in and he's going to want to try and do what he's gonna do so it's going to be up to him to try and start from getting down and try and get the soap so it's a really like said stars make matchups and this is a really interesting one if you can potentially try and stop Jack from starting as early as he does wear them down on the ground if you can hold him down you know yourself as a Grappler if you're being held down and you can't get back up imagine being a striker how frustrating that is not been able to get back to your feet and then do what you want to do so if Rheem can do that he could maybe see out the fight but if Jack just goes the way he's doing on all seven fire and all cylinders Echo being early night as well so it's an exciting fight for both from both aspects it'll be exciting to see who imposes it more um definitely yeah yeah really interesting point and then after that you've got the middleweight title for grabs this has been the one that's probably generated the most sort of uh social media and um draw over the last couple of weeks isn't it so there's been a I saw a great preview today um uh Jeff I can't remember yes Jeff Doyle made uh he's the guy that made the documentary on Craig Coakley so um if anyone hasn't seen it it's on my Instagram story you'll find it there but uh shout out Jeff Doyle it's an absolute Masterpiece it's a UFC level fight preview uh clip and uh Jesus said goosebumps I wanted to just kind of call over and grab the round up the two guys and in the car and bring them down the gym and get them to put the draw uh duke it out there and then there's been a bit of back and forth hasn't there and Mannings get twin trying really really hard to get understanding calculate skin so um I'm really interested to see how this one plays out you know Manning Manning likes to spoil the party for people you know like his wins were over he had that great win over Jess Powell or didn't he earlier this year and of course he won that he won his debut against Russell O'Brien but he's come up short in a few fights as well Daryl ward of course was the last one that was a barn burner of a fight you know so win or lose he's uh you know if he if he's gonna lose he's going out on his shield he brings a fight regardless so Shannon's in for a tough could be in for a tough nine minutes now on on Saturday night like Santa neb sannin had a great start like he's only 19 as well you know people forget that um but he had a great start to his amateur career you know he got five wins and three or four of those were finishes you know we have that great head kick knockout uh that was over Mel Larkin I believe up but yeah uppercase conflict and he's got an iron bar finish over Tristan Barnett then in December and he came up short two fights in the in the space of a couple of weeks but he was in with some really good opponents Jess Paulo and Charlie Lynch then it's over in the UK I think was six and now at the time so real tests you know what I mean like there's nothing to be ashamed of losing to college like that that are coming around beating everybody uh but the the style the stylistic uh matchup is interesting again like the previous fight someone who's got really devastating striking against someone who's going to try and just get the pressure on them and take that striking Advantage away that kicking Advantage as well just take that out of the equation and the other thing that's interesting to me is the size difference we saw in the um in the face-offs the videos that the cage Legacy guys did over the last couple of weeks Manning is noticeably bigger isn't he than sending so it'll be interesting to see how sending deals with that who's bigger and closes the distance and and and suffocating a little bit so um this you know they're not exactly the same Manning and Paolo you know that they tend to use there's there's parts of their approach that are quite similar so it's a big test for sending coming back now after those two defeats you know can you get back to winning ways he's got two fights courses on adfc in Manchester next month as well so um I'm really interested to see how this one plays out you know he's still a young fighter he's still developing so this is good to see can he face that type of fighter again and maybe can we see improvements can we see um you know has he learned from the first time losing a fight where a fighter was trying to trying to just get into that space and dominate him positionally and whatnot so I'm really really excited for this one and obviously they're you know they're both they're both going to bring plenty of support there's a little bit of needle so expect the atmosphere to be uh to be wild for this one yeah it's gonna be crazy and I have great time for Bolton and I talked about and playing that and I actually said seventh day I'm neutral in this I'm I'm never gonna I don't like predicting flights anyways fight's gonna happen but I'm neutral I like to vote on them like I said Brian Manning though the size difference that's what I always wanted because he actually has to cut a bit for middleweight um and yes Paulo actually said to me after because when he came in on late notice he said he felt that like if Jess Powell saying he felt that Ash away from Brian Manning and if Santa then felt that way from Jess so how is that gonna translate into fight I think when you look at striking especially with kicks and stuff like that sentence said is going to have the edge Brian's got good boxes so I reckon he'll want to try and get in close he likes to push people up against the fence as well break and strike and kind of take him there and do a bit of ground and pound seven took a while off and that was to pull cup so he wasn't because he was kind of like an in-betweener wasn't he was a wealth went lightweight so he told me he wanted to get up that he was bigger than wealth away so he could cut down obviously this is middleweight because his day of weigh-in there's so many factors that play into this like if Santa can keep him on the outside but I think if he gets inside like you said I think he's gonna have a plan I think there might be knees up the middle he's gonna like he trains with Craig Coakley his brother will probably one of the best strikers in the world probably one of the best gyms at the minute as well that's just producing Killers um but Brian Manning as well MMA cork renowned for tough like you said that reward fight he kept going Jess parallel every fight the Chris cocky fight as well I think it was that was another ban burner and he fights Till The Bitter End it's gonna be a long long if if it goes the distance it's gonna be an exciting if that goes the distance that is probably gonna be one of the fights the year I reckon because I don't see either of them going for the takedowns I take the two of them want to do this on the feet yeah yeah I think it's going to be not said Manning's a wild man so yeah and I'm expecting it to be just chaotic and definitely definitely is going to have everyone on their feet you know so they are going to be trying to take each other's heads off I just can't wait Bring It On yeah and Jeff like I said Jeff did I shout out he done stuff for area see he's after doing this I was today and I was like oh my Lord that was just fantastic and credit to the two boys as well Brian Manning goes to shift in media wise he drove three hours to Dublin to do that and then three hours back uh sending who I would have considered not quite but he wouldn't have been that much outspoken has really come out and this is kind of the first someone's first time someone's kind of challenged him like this and seven is just I think it's more Compton in his fighting than his talking I'm not saying he's not confident in talking but I think he's just more confident in what's going to happen on the night and I think that's what he's trying to get across that Brian is just trying to sell this fight and he's not about this life I think that's what Craig said and we'll see when it gets to the cage but my God am I looking forward to this fight yeah yeah that's gonna be no Sam that's one probably that's got guaranteed most of the interest for like MMA fans here in in Ireland you know they're the one that strummed up the most uh views and and hits probably for the cage Legacy social media Pages then after that you're into the the co-main and the main and you've got two professional debuts for we've got Gary Rooney's up first in the co-main and he has my Jesus he has a tough fight on his hands uh mararu Georg pronounced it correctly this is that's exactly how you pronounce his name um it often comes up your way around it was printed or I think but might be on his Instagram like that so I don't and I think that's a linguistic thing but it is pronounced moraru Georg and he is uh he's a really dangerous fighter ran up a five and one Ami uh career just last year and it was less than a year I think his entire amateur career yeah lasted 10 months um he won the first five fights he's coming from a background of Taekwondo and kickboxing and he was a multiple time national champion in a few different countries so I think it's Ukraine Moldova and Romania he won national titles in all of those in either kickboxing or Taekwondo or both in one of them I think and so then he transitioned into MMA and just really impressed a lot of people with uh he fought at bantamweight amateur last year all over the country the only person that got the better of him in the amateur ranks was Georgie girlzav of course who's like he's unbelievable you know uh he's because he's a quiet guy he's underage you know people don't realize how good he is I think he might be going professional as well so we watched his face on that one I could be wrong but I I think I think that's the case um so uh muraru is is a phenomenal fighter really fast Dynamic Striker the switch kick finish he got to the body of his opponent in there I can't remember the guy's name it was in uh cage conflict was Sensational you know and he went pro and he was he fought his first pro fight against Jared Burns wasn't it on their and the main card of cage conflict really close decision he lost a decision a unanimous decision but I think a lot of people have to fight that night were convinced that he had won it it was a brilliant display I thought he looked excellent first professional fight and then the fight against Mickey Pereira he would have won it but he got appointed doctor for a little headboard in the closed guard so um yeah it's unfortunate for Gary Rooney's coming in there against a really good fighter that all in one and one record of where are Luke doesn't tell the full story you know scary is coming in their Pro debut Gary is on a seven fight win this weekend with his last seven Emmy fights so I think stylistically he has what the right tools to deal with an opponent like murariable whether he can or not is another question so he has this Damian maya-esque control pressure suffocating game I'm interested to see as Gary had it added things like elbows and things like that into his game because if if he's done a good job of adding those type of weapons in on the ground he's going to be a really difficult Prospect for anyone to handle yeah he is he's very suffocate and I like that in his last seven fights as well he'd fought the top of the top before Matthew Freel Ben twice like Jamie Abbott which we've talked about that fight before was absolutely electric there's so many good things about Gary roon like I said I put his opponent like I said this is a tough like zero one on one like I said does not reflect that could easily be like I said I wasn't today's conflict fight yeah you could be two or no yeah it's that close to being two or no yeah so look I think this is going to be a really really good fight I think it's gonna be a fantastic fight I don't know what the size difference is like though I know they're both fighting the same one but I think his opponent uh morale looks slightly maybe bigger maybe a little more a little more built I'm not sure but if he's added the weapons like the elbows which will I reckon he has that's gonna do so much damage when he has his opponent on the ground so this is a really fun fight and it's one of the ones that usually when people get the debut sometimes they get someone that you think maybe they can beat he's been thrown straight into the deep end here there's no easy yeah yeah absolutely like do not underestimate mararu he should be too and I'll like he really wasn't lucky to lose the first one and the second one just one little mistake cost immediated a draw you know he he um he he lost that round I think and uh at 10 10 days I think was pointed up so he went to town on his opponent then and we're in a really good display and be caught with himself so he's going to be coming all gone to Blazing for this victory in this one really brilliant fight can't wait to see that one and then the pro debut of Max Lally is following straight after he has sold I believe a lot of tickets so expect the roof to lift off the place when Max enters um I was listening to Max today um he didn't interview Ryan O'Neal on severe MMA and I loved what I heard he just spoke about the scoring criteria and his understanding of it and how he's had to adapt his game going forward and really take into account that what wins fights Fighters don't know uh the scoring criteria they just dunked and they don't like I can't wrap my head around that way how could you go into a fight not knowing what you need to do to win the round Pete I had someone talking to me yesterday about why did that control time that when we were at that route control time doesn't  win rounds doesn't win rounds it's not the the primary score and criteria the primary scoring criteria as Max and Elliott said today on that interview is damage and he's he's saying that he has been working a lot on inflicting damage he's got he's not a Jujitsu uh fighter in there anymore he is a mixed martial artist and he wants to use all his weapons to damage his opponents I'm expecting him to go in there and lay down some real damage on this guy and that's that's what he's talking like Max's amateur career spanned no a window of 19 months he was held injured for 11 of those in the middle that's like so he was 9-0 and his real window of competing with literally just eight months separated by that injury Gap in the center which is not like so he loves to be active and he's jumped up to the pro ranks just to stay active because he couldn't get amateur fights anymore didn't want to go down the route of those imath things and have to fight four times in four days after picking up a serious injury last time doing it so um yeah I'm I'm really excited to see how he transitions in and again someone who has the grappling capabilities to dominate your position needs to get you down as soon as they're allowed to add in elbows and they understand the importance of doing damage to a fighter Max and Gary Rooney have all the skills to control where the fight takes place now we just get to see what else they can add in now that the rule sets have changed yeah I'm excited to see Max I spoke to my MMA in depth and he said the exact same thing he said damage damage damage and like I said I can't get over someone said to me today how come that person won I said if I punch you for 20 seconds but you hold me for the rest of the round I bet you essentially because it's damaged like it's not and Max understands that and he's training he's obviously in Kali he said he's been training with Harley elbows knees so expect to see an explosive master daddy um I reckon he's going to want to try and get it done quickly the roof is going to blow off the pace and even when Gary Rooney enters when those two answers just expect that place to be electric it's a fantastic card and I cannot wait for this yeah yeah definitely the the fact that it's sold out now is just uh it's really making me excited for it because we've been at some cage Legacy shows over the last year or two where the atmosphere was just bunkers you know and this is this is this is going to be the exact same you have the hometown Fighters there that have brought uh big crowds with them and these are massive moments for these young fires in in their lives you know I mean they're gonna look back on these days now in like 20 30 years go Jesus Christ do you remember the night it made me proud of you uh you know that so they're they're really historical moments and it it's so cool to be to be right there for the whole thing and and to be in and around there and and just to get a little feel of that that buzz and that excitement so I was so excited for Saturday night just some absolute bangers of fights matched on that main card so uh yeah if you haven't got your uh your ticket do not miss out on the pay-per-view so yeah yeah I'm really looking forward to uh talking everyone through the action it's gonna be great but yeah we'll share the pay-per-view link once this gets released um I can't wait for the show
