Molly speaks about the lead up in fight camp and the lead up to a fight, as we all know there's plenty of things that can and will go wrong, some are in your control some are out of your control.

Instead of trying to avoid thinking about these things, Molly looks to change a person's mindset to not avoiding it but coming up with processes in place so when or if these things do happen, how an athlete reacts to them

Like the old saying goes
"Fail to prepare, prepare to fail"

First interview of 2026 full interview on YouTube

A slow start but it'll ramp more over the coming weeks

Transcript (instagram_whisper)

Um, one of the things I'd like to do with athletes before even that these things happen is that we try and like anticipate them and predict what could go wrong.
And a lot of the time people are like, Oh, like, I don't want to think about bad things because that will make them happen.
And, you know, I don't like that frame of thinking because they, they are likely to happen, you know, and we have to have things in place that if they do.
So if we have taught it, okay, say, if, you know, wake up goes wrong, what can we do?
Or if your opponent changes, how are we going to respond to that?
And you are already planning that in your head.
It makes it less of a panic when it actually does happen
because you've taught it's true.
So then when it does happen,
you're thinking, oh my God, crisis mode, fire flight,
like what are we gonna do now?
You've taught it's true, you have a plan.
Okay, it's still not ideal.
We can accept that you should be frustrated.
But we have a plan in place
that we're gonna respond to efficiently
because it's all about ensuring that athlete feels like
it's gonna be a challenge, but it's not gonna be a trap.
So we have resources to overcome this.
