Today I spoke to Mel about her year
Fighting three times in three different disciplines, the sparring day in @strabane_martial_arts_academy, creating the all female promotion @artemis_promotions and starting her own gym @bangor_martial_arts_academy 

She also retired from MMA on her home show @wrath.combat passing her gloves to her daughter who has gone on to compete on @artemis_promotions

So I'll be talking to Mel. This story goes back way back from even the fans
few days which wasn't too long ago but that's when I started so we pick up a
different influence different things and we said we leave it to the end of the
year this year so we're gonna see if she can get in and she's gonna request now
I bet or maybe not or maybe I'll invite her who's that Willie Woosky? What a name.
Claude is back and this time it's sort of blind, it's not even funny. Finally, it didn't
want us to have this conversation. How are you? Thank you very much for joining me. How was your
Christmas? It was good. I think that whole issue might have been my fault. I'm down in the gym
and we don't have Wi-Fi yet and my daughter's floating about and had she wanted my hotspot on
so she could watch YouTube and stay quiet. So as soon as I switch the hotspot off I seem to
get it working. So sorry about that. It's okay, it's okay. So how are you? It's been an eventful
year for you. Because I summed up a couple of things there and you were saying it's a bit mad
when you look back on it like these things happen like not all at once kind of over the space of
time. Is it mad looking back on the year and now like that three different you've found three
three different disciplines, MMA, Thai, boxing,
with the promotion act, Artemis,
and obviously with your new gym,
there was a lot going on.
When you look back on that,
does that all feel a little bit surreal?
Yeah, oh, absolutely.
It was only whenever I saw the story you had shared
that I was like, whoa, I actually have done quite a lot
this year, but yeah.
If you were to ask me, looking at that,
it looks like the most amazing, amazing year ever
for somebody to achieve so much.
But if you'd asked me how my year went,
I'd probably tell you that it was such a mixture.
It was such a crap year, but such a good year.
But yeah, it's mad.
Yeah, no, I've had that comment.
