All right, everyone. Welcome back to Gladiator Fighting Championship. I have here Mr. Rene Dun Dunle. >> Dun Levy. >> Yeah. >> Divi. Yeah. >> Dun. Just we just went over this. >> All right. First of all, congratulations, sir. Um, >> thank you. >> Talk to me about it. Like, just walk me through the end there. Um, like what were you feeling? uh good like um yeah, I knew it'd be a good fight. I knew that if I can get to my game, I can beat him. And I think that's what happened. He's tricky and he's uh he's tough and he's he's technical, but uh I I thought if I could get to my game, I could finish him. I didn't I didn't manage to finish obviously, but uh uh good good to get three rounds in. Uh I haven't most of my wins by finish, so it's good to go three rounds and kind of stay composed for 9 minutes. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Um, were you satisfied with the obviously you were satisfied with the the judges scoring, but like with the overall scoring, like were you happy with that? >> Yeah. Yeah, happy out. Yeah, it was I think it was fairly clear. Uh, three three rounds. I I think I won every round. Like I didn't do enough damage to score a 108 or anything every round. So, I think 30 27 was a perfect uh decision. >> Awesome. Um, so, you know, what was this like? What was it like going into round two after, you know, your first round? You kind of you felt each other out, you know, you kind of little bit of an adrenaline dump. Like what were you feeling in round two? How how were you feeling? Uh >> I felt good. Like uh I felt quite composed in there and that I was able to just go and just do what do I do? Like uh in a lot of my fights last year and earlier this year, I was either like my concentration wasn't very good. like I would kind of be focused for a minute and then I'd start zoning out and just messing about or making bad decisions, but I feel my last fight and then tonight I I've really kind of figured out the mental side of it a bit more where I'm able to just do a good composed uh disciplined three rounds and >> great. >> Obviously, I I want to get finishes. Uh I had a few attempts. I I definitely could have opened up a little bit more to get a finish, but um no, I'm I'm happy that I was able to just have good focus for three rounds. >> Okay. Is there something that you would have done differently now that the fight's over with? >> Um yeah, I uh I would have like I was trying to open up with more strikes. I I think I got a lot off in the first round, but uh I wanted to find find the right balance between landing strikes and looking to finish the fight and also controlling him. So, in a lot of my fights, I would get to a good position and then I'd do some something crazy and I'd jump off them and I'd be put myself in a bad position. So, I felt like tonight I was maybe a little bit too uh cautious and I I wanted to control him where I could have opened up maybe that extra 10 15% with strikes or uh some different submission options. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Right on. Um, so how how did you feel kind of coming into this? And then how are you feeling now the fight total? >> Uh, coming into this fight, I felt uh like I'm never 100% confident. You know, I was telling telling people I thought it was like 60 40 me. So I thought there's a chance I I lost, the chance I won, but I thought I had a slight edge over my opponent. You know, I never like I know a lot of people they say tell yourself, you know, fake it till you make it all that, but me, I go into every fight kind of being honest with myself and whoever I'm talking to. If I think I'm going to lose, I'll probably say I I'm going to lose. But I I felt I had a slight edge over him. And then going into today, like felt felt good all around. Same as always. A little bit nervous, but not nothing too bad. And yeah, then afterwards now, I'm yeah, feel good. Like I'm satisfied I got the win. uh a few little uh things to improve on that I want to start playing around with and just a few things in general I feel I've been neglecting a bit uh skill-wise in the leadup to this fight for my opponent and my last few fights. So I want to take the time out now the end of the year to just build those skills up again. >> Heck yeah. Um so you know just speaking of the end of the this is the end of the year. Um like what do you what do you got planned for the rest of the or for the rest rest next year? >> Next year. Uh >> my plan is to get like five fights in. I had six fights this year. >> Yeah, this year I had six fights. >> Six fights this year. >> Yeah, very active. >> Yeah, it's quite active. I I want to do similar next year. I'd be happy with five. Uh I'll do six if it's there. That That was my 10th amateur fight. Um I think it took me quite a while to start figuring things out, but uh I think I I'm getting there, you know. Uh I think I'm starting to like I know I'm good. I know I have good te technique, but I'm starting to figure out how to actually perform in there. So, I want to next year get a few big wins and then yeah, win a few belts cuz uh yeah, it'd be nice to have a title uh as at amateur. >> So, yeah. >> All right, man. Look, uh I appreciate your time. Thank you so much. >> Thanks for having me. >> Um and real quick, everyone, make sure you follow you check out Original Animals. Uh they were kind enough to uh sponsor me today um and sponsor a giveaway that I had. Um so, everyone check him out. Um make sure you check this guy out. Um, and yeah, make sure you follow me as well. All right. Uh, look, Grant, again, I appreciate it. Thank you so much. >> Thanks. Thanks for having me on. I appreciate that. Yes, sir. Peace out. >> Thank you.
