A Historic Week in Abu Dhabi: Celebrating Our Four Female  Medalists 🇮🇪

What a phenomenal start to the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships @immafed for Team Ireland. Our young athletes have taken to the world stage with incredible skill, heart, and discipline, proving once again that Ireland is a global powerhouse in amateur MMA.
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our medalists so far:

🏆 GOLD – Ella Carey (World Champion)
Ella delivered a masterclass in grappling and composure. After a technical victory over Ukraine in the semi-finals, she secured the World Title in the final against Lebanon with a clinical armbar in just 41 seconds.

🏆 GOLD – Kayla (World Champion)
Kayla showed immense grit and technical ability throughout the tournament. She earned her place in the final with a dominant decision win over Russia and closed out her journey to gold with a spectacular submission victory against Israel.

🏆 GOLD – Freya (World Champion)
Freya was a force of nature throughout the competition. She navigated the group stages with dominant wins over Mexico and South Africa before showing incredible heart to defeat a tough Ukrainian opponent in the final to claim her World Title.

🥈 SILVER – Amelia (World Silver Medalist)
Amelia demonstrated world-class resilience and skill. After securing clinical wins over England and Finland in the group stages, she battled through a grueling bracket to reach the final against Spain, ultimately bringing home a well-earned Silver Medal for Ireland.

These results are a testament to the hard work of the athletes, the quality of coaching in their home clubs, and the strength of the IMMAA pathway. To bring home multiple world titles and medals against the best in the world is a massive achievement for the entire nation.
