Post-fight interview with Senan Coakley after his first-round TKO at Cage Warriors 210. He says the finish felt expected because he ran a full camp without slacking on diet, weight cut, cardio, strength, or mat work, and that he trained specifically to end fights early. He describes the second knockdown as a teep aimed under the opponent’s elbow, notes the referee allowed more damage before the stoppage, and that he celebrated in the crowd with his mother and friends. He outlines a busy 2026 pro schedule: debut in March, second bout in April, this win in September, and hopes for another booking in November or December. Coakley says he trains hard at Fight Academy Ireland, believes he has star potential backed by praise from high-level sparring partners, and wants to keep climbing toward being among the best. On matchmaking, he names welterweights he says left Cage Warriors for PFL or the Contender Series, declares no call-outs, and tells his matchmaker he will fight anyone Cage Warriors book next.

[music] Yeah. >> All right, >> everyone. [music] Welcome, Mr. Kling. >> How are you, bro? >> Congratulations. Uh, I feel like it was last week when I saw your debut. Uh, your debut pro fight. Um, you coming in now with this victory. Like, what what do you how you feeling right now? Like what's what's running through your head? >> Unbelievable. Um, again with stuff like this, you know, it actually it feels right. It feels normal because I've put the work in for this fight. You know, I've trained so that this would happen. You know, I didn't slack off on my diet. I didn't slack off on my weight. I didn't slack off on my training, my running, my cardio, my strength training. Everything was 100% the whole camp. So, if I prepare in a way to expect to finish like this in the first round, I expect to get that. So when I got it, I was like, I trained for this, so you know, I can't be too surprised that it happened now, you know. >> Heck yeah. Now I think you dropped him three maybe four times in that round. Like what what was going your head after the the second time? Like what were you thinking? >> So uh the second time was a teepee. >> And I was like, "Oh, surely that was right to the liver." >> Yeah. Yeah. Left he right under the elbow. Aim for his elbow and as you extend he'll lift it and he lifted and it cut straight under and he dropped and I was like, "Oh, lovely. Fight's done now." So, turns out no, the referee wanted him dead. So, I had to keep hitting and hitting and hitting and eventually I got the finish straight into the crowd, which I wanted to see me mom, me, mates, and everyone. So, I just ran into the crowd and said, "Get up." >> This would be a lesson to folks who always say it's like when when a guy gets knocked out and then the the fighters jump back on top of them and get that last one. This is why you do it because >> super necessary. >> Exactly. You never know like the the you know um from the from outside of the ring looking in it may look like it's over with but u when you're the one standing in there it's definitely not. So um like what what what's your number one takeaway from today? >> Um you know I take away I take away the same thing every every time. You know put in the work and you you'll get the rewards. I just got the rewards. Simple as I'll just keep putting in this work now until I get I get right to the top of the sport. I am not in the sport to be anything less than the greatest to do it. So, I'm going to keep training that way and I'll keep getting better. >> What was it? It was two two years ago they had your debut. >> No, no, the >> was it last year? Started this year. >> Started this year. >> So, I had debut March second fight April third fight September. Hopefully another fight November, December. >> Okay. feel like you have this aura that like you know you you've been well you have been in the game a long time but you carry this aura with you of um of what do I want to say like time you know what I mean like so where where you know in a year from now what do you want to see where do you want to be >> um I I have aura and I know I have aura and I know people know that I'm going to be a superstar and I know I know that I've a lot of highlevel fighters have said like you can be good if you put to work in. And I've had so many high level fighters say that to me that I've sparred, that I've trained with, that I've chatted to. They said, "You have a head on your shoulders. You can talk the talk. You can walk the walk, but if you put the work in, you can make it." Because a lot of people don't put the work in. I put that work in. If you go to FAI and see what training I'm doing, they call it the overt training schedule. [laughter] >> So, that's what I do up there, lads. I put the work in. I get the rewards. uh one of my good friends who I know you know Dave Ferrell he always speaks so highly of you anytime he and I are talking about MMA or anything in general you always come up and you know he he is one of those folks that you put in the work you put in all the time effort that everyone else I don't want to say everyone's slacking off but like you know when someone else might go home at the end of the day sends in there still putting in the work and it definitely shows after today. So first of all just congratulations and uh who do you want to fight next? Do you have anyone you want to call? >> No, I've known I've no one I want to call. I've known names on my head. All the top welterweights went running. They went to PFL thinking they were going to get their little paycheck. They went running from from Cage Roy. So, fair play to them. They can go off and do that. Leon Hill and Andreas Pinder. They were the welterweights at the top of this division and they went running. Sean Clansancy and Adam Derby went to the Contender Series. So, fair play to them. Go work it. Go get to the UFC and get your titles. For me, I just want to be active. So, if Cage Warriors want to have me on the next show in November, perfect. There's four fights in a year. I don't care who I fight. I literally say to Shando, I goes, I do not care who I fight, where I fight, what way I fight. You just tell me the game plan and tell me who I'm fighting and I'll do it. And that's been the last three fights and look at the results. >> Oh yeah, man. >> 100%. Let's go, lad. >> Congratulations. Yeah, congratulations again. And uh I look forward to see I look forward to having this conversation again. [music] >> You two. Let's go. Who's next? Let's go. Heat. Hey, Heat. [music] >> [music]
