was in sixth year in school and I'm walking through we're through the school hall pass a library and I see this this stocky feather showing kids after they were a virus and I was like holy [ __ ] that's the stuff 31 of them and it was Andy brilliant hiding the only class in in the school so we pulled them you know we walked in what's the story man that's time MA where can I deal with like come down to cholestacare was that doesn't on saturday morning so i think it was that we got fallen week I went down and I walked into it judo hall and class start and it was Andy Rowan John cabinet they the documentary of yourself and party fighting and like just having the weigh-ins a Conley Dyer station and I think that it was a severe MMA was a yeah yeah yeah what's that called again cage containers ten thousand arrows on youtube if they haven't seen its own believable it's like Oh old-school like you're some party in conversation like that don't weigh in unbelievable like that was that was that was the begin another yeah I couldn't believe that was even a team cause we're so everyone so you see the glitz and the glam of the bell tours and you see caterers and everything and then to see the home of beginnings and you let you be in the face with as well we didn't go to four came in dr. Heath you told a bringing story in that documentary or after so you said when you're waiting to go out you're the most nervous you've been and then what are your basic rules over how's your equipment up you know me same way like it certain things that happen a certain pull they're not getting that caught up to do see like look what happening boy like give it a different any sort of regrets you know I'm sure it's very hard to have any rest no no very happy way yeah I didn't get to do actually of course like you know that wasn't my fault after the lawsuit was a nice to be enjoyed that for you but when I said I had moments to win that for you and I think I you know I thought I wanted to check around and I thought you know coming out when today toward I just look in the stronger for yeah well I got clipped and I I lost and I wanted to come back after that you know injuries stop me from coming back so it's a bit I was a bit annoyed it was a bit down for a good world I you know we check to see and you know I you know I'll try be bested see if we could get around the injuries pull folks and I couldn't and then I made a decision and after a couple of months of engine to to just focus on coaching and and took me on a [ __ ] boiled right now that's pretty made you like Topher and a harder and better coach to be like right you still felt like it something left to get there so you're gonna transition and just like give it that extra bit you know yeah yeah they come in look what even what party stone as well we're in as well like with his gym like it's yes you're a lot of a lot of a top employers if they get fully used and everybody go into house and put still like stop Rudy they feel like left gift to give to the game so I think that's what that's here I was always going to be a coach I think you know if I coached for many years world for you and our coach in Johnston you know pretty much after the forced Monta tale of China with John of his coaching classes I think you know I was teaching kids class right and I've always coached and and I think from teaching kids classes from from an early stage you learn to be patient and you know you lantern out it's it's a long road and yeah you know he only expects small steps from compete but you can't expect people to be superstars straightaway although they're the few the command that are unique and have some some attributes and some coordination that is just a little bit better than everybody and they did you know they're the unicorn said once you try and keep you know the world called Conor McGregor one of these boys that came in where there which was he just had it all from they you see someone who's like absolutely beautiful to coach just because even way he sees things himself is so unique you mean like his taunt and his precision yeah I mean obviously you can help enhance that board that's something he naturally has yeah exactly like a lot of the greats out that they it's probably cuz they spend more time like you know I spend a lot of time what you can find you know what the tape on people and whatnot but like you know you'd be getting messages off corner at between in the morning 4:00 in the morning what do you think of this what you think that so when everyone else is sleeping he's he's still thinking about the game and the great celita and they you know didn't they get very creative with our own soil and they don't really implement they don't really imitate other people they just implement their own game and you know and that comes from your personality and your attributes and stuff like that for all the greats are very yeah you know all the greats don't look the same as each other they're all very unique you know remain they all have their own soil and that's what it would say - you know for its coming up as well it's yeah it's great look a Conor and say look he's got a you know it was this really well in those that we know trying an implementer but you shouldn't just imitate him because you're never gonna be as good as room and you know you know me and it's not you know there's so much that goes into being a foyer and personality attributes that all comes into just be yourself and be alone for you know I mean then you can be you can be the number one you know I'll see Connors had some unbelievable performances throws UFC career but when he fought Alvarez I actually thought that was the greatest challenge of performance anyone's ever put on do you agree with that or like were you happier with the album 30 and second stolen dulce I think one I think one thing is an Conor was very a he'd been very consistent in point he came in the lead he was in tip-top shape he'd been walking consistently for a couple years and it built up to this moment the following alvarez and you know that he was just one point he was just flawless you know everest is very very tough he's durable he'd be tricky and other as just couldn't even get off the mark he just he just caught everything we we need web browsers for every one second goes and just go yeah so as I said you can top that up as well it probably was like I've heard so many great memories were walking back honor although and Diaz coming back off a loss secondly as for you there's another nada you know huge moment for the team but a very big moment for Conor to to come true you know to overcome adversity and go back in and deal with and not change anything you know some fighters with we'll look at that I'm gonna do exactly the same we're gonna look at what happens and we're gonna we're gonna fix it you know it's very brave to things talk like that as well a lot of people wouldn't wouldn't have to have the guts to do what he did yeah I mean every memory Walker Makana is compared it like you know all the other orders can organizations that are pro level there's not a huge difference it's it's it's it's a lot harder to deal with the pressure but kind of just eats up that pressure and laughter so it was near breaking yeah I remember walking this arena and Sweden you know AB lineage looked huge he looked small the next day but he was you on the cheese man he's a big fella book like you just you know Connor we're kind of joined it kind of joined the gym on stab winning its voice about he kind of brought this belief that I am he was unstoppable and that we wouldn't stop and he just said the only things you know killing people are knocking people out and I'm gonna be it is an evil achieve I'm gonna get this belt so everyone just started believe me and then everyone was there doing good I mean I was first I didn't really but that's forcefully I was nervous and there but he went in and did it in the stores yeah I remember remember they just brought out I remember it was just brought a note on the back the micro his youtube channel dad like behind the scenes I have you got his tooth on and then you and I are from the backer and after and like you were just Aryan like yeah you were this comfortable in cameras we're damn well yeah now it's a mate like it happened that all that document it is unbelievable but then like teens got grown and grown and grown and you know like like you're a very humble guy yeah it must be like this is unreal because we're getting like a five-star everything dan Reid yeah I mean it was it was a shot instead like he's like almost rebelled against being knocked back by the country I know they're the people the hard work and working class people would have been back home and then as I got bigger and bigger and bigger people would support and for their I think like the newspapers know if they had a back too much beginning I think he would have been I think you just felt out of place like not you almost felt like he was do it he couldn't do any better but he still wouldn't get the plaudits for it you don't wanna be accepted I think that was maybe and then obviously being such a superstar it's hard to feel like a natural anywhere you know like he's a he's an absolutely phenomenal I mean for me I find it hard to be Jamie and Connor shields it's funny very different I think I think everyone would I mean I get a small little taste of that when you know if you're coming out after the weigh-ins and you're trying to jump in because with me he won't leave after the way adds I won't go home with the rest I'm allowed to move away from there go somewhere but even I thought like people are my lovin a just for a picture and I'm trying to run away and all this is insane so and that's only it totally nee little taste of what he has the video with so you know it's it's not easy to come even for Petula's car this has been for coming on the show like doing this coming on they call me they said we've and so there was a lot of pressure on me and I felt I was in the other sport you know when I'm nervous updating on anything I just I just say to myself give it a hundred percent don't watch all the tape you can destroy it look for holes you know which you know there wasn't many more there is like nobody's perfect there's nodes and everybody's together and you come from you can find all over the people's game games and come up a game plan instead to try and try and attack that but it was a lot of pressure it was loads of pressure on corner which he and swallowed up and laughter you know as he doors we went under Ward's Hall hebes and there's another world tour the world tour was like when did you ever see Africa 10,000 10,000 people for press conferences and and different cities all over take over that when we going to camp shoutout for goods we're business planning a rough he looks after that so I mean I do walk with em management call me one here management business he looks after Allah so everybody everybody knows that went when I go into camp that's kind of the priority Kelly I'm lucky to have a you know an amazing wife that holds down the fort when they're when I'm away and so I'm in a very good position I have I've got people around me that that corner look after things will go in and they give it on to a sample car yeah nice one room cuz I go see you have to drop
