okay what's going on guys and welcome to a brand new episode of energized today we have a very special guest on the show we have former Bama low weight champion and caterers welterweight contender during this one and yeah keeping busy can I have my own gym so I mean I still have a set of keys for that so I'm be able to to chip away at that and stuff you know obviously you kind of continue the BSA so everybody's doing a home Roblin and homework guys what not as ramune and stuff it's it's kind of non-existent I have bagging you know it's frustrating but I understand we're all in the same situation at the moment yeah and Reese tell us how did it get started out and maeín bosibl congratulations on your gym what is you 24 24 yeah 24 and your owner on GMA that's called gamma kicked off named me so I used to play football for like a local football team members say nothing to get excited but it was a under under 15 under 16 and you know I was playing there and the Kendall anywhere and it was the preseason looking for someone to get to get fair and there was a local MMA club and my brother won't say who as well so so we both went along that MMA club and that was really yeah I kind of fast and the local growling competent near got my arm broken about ten seconds and that was the hook line sinker so well ever since and I never really looked back I never thought of her football boots again Andreessen what saves you realize you are actually very down down and you were better than most people ever that's a question that's a funny question for me because it's like I didn't I didn't realize I had potential and tell about ten fights in if that makes sense you know okay no I was so busy doing the thing when the time I realized I was already 10 fights deep so it was kind of easy you know what there was never a moment where I had we sat then said listen you could do this I was already gonna do that and then McKenna said lesson the so-called well so Risa all exactly uh your last amateur fight cuz that I was actually cheered against you you and you you you you actually submitted on drum bill what a guillotine a battle zone we were actually there that because they my brother and was trained in the same gym as drunk girl time I knew him quite well I also know he lives off in Australia now and that was actually your last I was really and what what do you think the big differences between amateur and pro in Ireland because a lot of people are saying now that the amateur is almost supported the pro an Ireland yeah yeah proves I'm amateurs and you know there's a lot of amateurs would do my Ryan's as much as the true so you know I think back in the day it was proves over there in army trees over here but nowadays the level so high and and I think that is because we have like this culture of like you know will strand in the same gym floor and you know there's no our crew cast and an amateur class role is one so Tom eater standard here is very very high but differences you know as I've kind of said there isn't really much of a difference II you know obviously but you're you're Ryan in times in your gloves and stuff I think when you're that level anyway that stuff is really irrelevant grease you were all see the bar champion a lightweight you went over how to crack the welterweight on a terry brazier at the time when Bellator sort of acquired remember seeing a bomber turdy when you drew Richie small first of all one of the best draws I've ever seen I think Ross can agree with that as well yeah that's the best Irish for you ball going yeah what did the crowd he brought which it all the way from open Belfast is where I was unbelievable and like after that I was like this guy is serious times as well so we ever since that I've been like phone your career ever since yeah it was a man it was a mad can a fake you know like I Canada didn't come for that and I was coming off a loss and I was in a weird clear saying I'm just happy to be fighting in them I remember at the time like got into the third Rhino spring and it was close I was like flip I've been having so much fun that I haven't tried to win the fight that's kind of hard to like explain but like I was just in there to fight I wasn't there to win you know and yeah but that was good fight oh there's more to go fight yeah and obviously roll up on the Reese's together and you'll see and I believe I read some more somewhere someone said if I don't get to UFC in 2020 this year was a failure Joe who said he'll see Dobler August ago although I can't you know you know if you ask me that's the last month before we're in lockdown I would say I have to be on the card there can be no one else on the card Barney but I think it all depends now F word if we're being realistic and I'm highly the lock time plays I don't know that will even happen I don't know if caterers want me for one more fight or two more fights I'm not really sure I am totally for our option I'll go in the cage works title first if they want fe f c/e says cage Wars let us have them I'm sure I'll go there too so I'm kinda relaxed and happy good guy but I I would absolutely love to be in Dublin and August and what are your coaches saying to you just like are they like don't worry don't push it like don't rush it because really you have the title now so it's were like yeah they've always been in there in their opinion of me like I'm only 24 for me it's not all my efforts when so if it you know I do want it this year if I don't get an August I believe I'll get it by the end of the year as long as this rule coupe 19 there's obviously not much any of us can do in that situation but I can only do with them in my power and I believe I'll be there this year I believe they do here I'm close and he says this when you go to your feet will it be a welterweight or will it be a long way or we do with a bouncing no yeah like we it's like action like towards the last face mouth or my professional like my last few fights like like booze way too much so I've made the right decision I'm gonna malaria and I feel fantastic you're even a feather weight on this age all right I was about gives you that confidence against free again B's yeah I just I just know I can get free anything you know I believe I'm one of the best of the world and finding a way to win in a fight you know I might not be the best striker or growt whereas sir but I find the way to win better than most and I'm resilient and you can't beat the guy that doesn't give up so you know it's a yeah that's why I'm so confident you know maybe maybe a very young and naive is in there too but I'll take that as well nice and Rhys how do you factory soccer shuffle baguettes Euler welterweights in the UFC yeah - you I'll talk and try and try and talk anybody in the company or you know I'm all for us all getting getting the best we can happen yeah yeah what's great about you know the sort of ol boys from you guys and Cage Warriors as well it's not like the goal is get the EOC and then like be success and you see but like that also gives better option to bring juicy back Dublin you see back to Belfast I mean like we've been locking you up see shows quite lost reasoning in a probably was almost a turkey from watching page where it's all false because like there's less than a crossover but won't you boys good made for a lot of people so therefore we'll make you a nice guy so I think I think you're gonna have to call away Steve wonderboy Thompson for their MMF title we previously had him on the show as well he's one of the noises guys ever you know I actually probably join no these mr.
