Lloyd heavyweight title fight between Ryan Higgins and Dennis Perry Lads how are we doing Good Feeling Good Feeling fresh yeah welcome to the show this total fight goes down at this Friday in the pillow Hotel Roy and Herrick Sawyer to actually uh have a mashup at Lloyd heavyweight and how excited are you to fight for the title can't wait um Dennis uh obviously you competed against Rowan before and grappling when his name is given to you uh were you like oh I want to get a go with this in MA as well um well whenever the uh they were shooting around names for um for this title matchup and iMessage Ryan I said do you fancy fighting on this or whatever straight away you jump from from John P was yet yeah I'll do that he didn't care uh I don't even think you care about weight class or whatever he just he just was happy that he had a fight and I knew I wasn't going to pull out uh he just knew he had a date to save and he was going to jump on uh he's a crazy kid um and the nice way in a nice possible way I'm not here to start a bad way but uh no I knew then too that Ryan's not a guy from Poland out um there's been a few matchups I've had lately with guys that are just some guys now and the versions that you probably won't even bother training for because you just know it's not going to happen yeah this one's going to be an absolute Banger okay he's like he's 17 September 30th in the pillow Hotel yeah the big boys are going to travel down uh Roy and Heaven always this is a preparing for a fight against some Elite Dennis knowing that he's going to be the person standing across from you at the end of the training camp I was dead because I thought I'd be in about a year or two before I thought someone of his uh his caliber with mental voice he has foreign um well heavyweights um it's just too broad of a spectrum that you could be fighting somebody around 100 kilos or 120 kilos uh light heavy weight seems to be just just right uh regards to um your diet and then your training you can still enjoy training uh middleweight is probably something that I'll look towards next year um but I I'm just I'm crowded anyways whenever I'm training uh and I'm just imagine I'm going to be a nightmare even more so whenever I've got an old tanky loose to cut on top of that uh so I think late Happy Wheels stuck with me for a while uh the houses and I really don't care I have to go on a diet and go cut down the middle wait till I matter yeah these boys are both game and like you say especially at the higher weight class now it is tough to get the matchups in so we're the Lloyds see you boys on the card and Dennis obviously you have massive experience going over to Eye Master with Team Ireland what were your main takeaways now um what voice would you give anyone going over to the Euros is Steve uh twice I've competed now for the imrs um just enjoy the whole experience um don't take the losses too personal until go overconfidence and the ones um and more than enough uh embrace the team that you're with because everybody's there in the same boat everybody's just as nervous or everybody's just maybe overly confident um there's people there from gyms that you probably won't really normally associate with um try and make friends um because a lot of people are on the same scene actually uh and they will be and you'll whenever you see the matures it's a nice thing um enjoy the whole thing I know it's a costly thing uh so whenever they're treated us a holiday you're there's you're there for fighting um that was absolutely beautiful dentist that was absolutely beautiful yeah it's good to it's good to get someone's uh experience someone who's uh had time to digest it and then give the feedback on Ryan um tell us things CMAC is very hot at the moment uh obviously uh Jordan Bradshaw and kitiko like geez they must share their dinner at this stage uh they're turning gold left right and Center uh the two the two boys are are cleaning up and then obviously uh uh head coach Alexandra Sullivan's about to go pro uh on cage conflict what's the Bulls like in CMAC at the moment it was waiting we have six last week next week Australian cage Legacy and then three lives down to the Euros so it's really good boost and tell us this uh what what sort of advice stores Alex uh sort of Gonna Give You On on The Daily because he's the most experienced amateur in the country well it's so much you just give me a voice for the last one and it was like only one year ago because it was so so focused on fleet and he was like looking up I was in the lobby and we probably was in the hotel lobby as well waiting to walk out the fleet just give me a voice versus I didn't we then we have Debbie use my she's the coach as well and she's trying to get me wrong group saying I was too kind though so that's a good idea to keep me losing balance do they have a bicker between each other on uh he was giving the advice next I know usually usually when it comes to League the technical stuff more so Alex because I told you for his they decided to go a few place now myself where the tournament are a pretty good team to have we saw this photo was announced we are like right this is the one to get on for the Face-Off it's definitely going to be the people's Main Event um but if people are tuning in now and you want to either go to the believe it uh Dennis obviously uh you're trying to open strabane um what what sort of voice has Gareth giving you uh coming into this fight and uh how is training camp going is there anything you're focused on and can you find someone uh Ryan Higgins and Sawyers up there to get the get the rounds in but yeah Bob Brown here we've got them big farming then so whenever I'm I've got one or two guys now that are more heavier just like 110 kilo plus so I'm privileged to get wrong with them and then I've got a few guys around middleweight then so it's good diverse group um garst um every time I'm going at least pack my head over but what we were going to do that's what we were going to do that now we're that long with each other now like me and garage training on and off each or 10 years and more so in others past five years um he knows when to kind of leave me alone because some days like everybody else you're having good days and bad days you know you just kind of just things aren't going well you know maybe you're too tired or whatever so we kind of give me a white birth and then there's all the days then he's he's popped me through my pieces um you know he just knows what the hell up down um regards to heavyweights and stuff I got there I've got a few guys now um that I am training with uh very good technically very good um just things going very well just uh very well and to go back to the the people's Main Event um I I'm not one for trash talking and I never have been and I don't think it ever will be um but for someone that that was just a fight that was announced in cage Legacy to me and Ryan hasn't really crosswords we haven't really got into a bakura along like out there um but for it to generate so much you know with no harm really getting spoken about it says more about our fight and what to look forward to because it's just two guys that are training and fighting Just For the Love of us you know it's not it's not bragging right it's nothing else it's just too one very young open-coming a fighter athlete and a guy that's been around there and there's there's more to see to this fight than just all the fights on the card uh are are good but there's something a great post about this one and as soon as it was announced I like every little while you just get that we rush and I've got a more electricity for this one yeah I I definitely agree Dennis I feel like I don't know what it is but I feel like you've become this sort of like lovable lovable guy ever since uh you went over and represented team Arnold I think just speaking to the guys who went over there like everyone spoke so highly over here everyone said like you were such a good figure to have there you were such a great team player and I think like you've become such a lovable character and then like uh obviously your fights over there like you left it out on the line so I think you've become like a most watched fighter on the scene um like me and Barry have our ear to the ground like that's that's just what's been said about you I mean like no one has a bad word to say about you and then like obviously Ryan is like this massive Prospect you know he's six for five is this big lump of a fella and like they were like right these are these are like people love to see the bigger away classes so like this is what people are doing in physique so like that that's why people are excited for this fight and I think um you look at the main event and it's you know it's Richard Corgi versus uh Johnny Jitsu like these are two Lads that like the tail end of their career and like yeah it's a professional fight but when I looked at a brand like hey Jackie like I'm looking for the future I mean so like oh like oh yeah I'm more interested in this fight that's no offense the last the main event that's just for me like I want to see you know what who who are the highest level goals in the amateur scene and like to me this is the highest uh level four and while the amateur cards so like that's all like this to me this movie main event this is the point that like oh I'm not forward saying so fair paid his boat is yeah that's why we have to get a periods on yeah like Dennis said there was there was no promo for it so we were like right well we'll create the promo for her everyone just knows that at what level this is that's what that's what's how to do yeah exactly that is that is exactly what it's all about and like that's that's why we have years on here and able to like look you just need to be a bad word against the idiots you know I mean you're you're about to Absolute legend of the game also uh Dennis I just want to touch on uh one person in your gym who's doing incredible things um shout out to Lisa she's doing incredible things up there and doing the women's class and stuff like that and we love to see that uh she's uh she's absolutely brilliant for spg's brand she's actually brilliant for women's in Maine in Ireland and uh she's competing now as well so like shout out to her as well uh what's she like to have in the gym because she seems to be a good head and seems to be always arranged and so for people as well uh this is the unpaid Secretary of SPG strabane she has run and making sure people's got their Medicals up to date um check and to see what dates competitions coming up and then at the same time then she's like a child she's constantly asking me questions about either weight Cuts or what preparation for training and stuff like that there but on one hand she's very level-headed and then the second hand then she's just every day is like a first day you know she's constantly asking questions about positions or Jiu Jitsu or stand up or stuff like that in a good way in a very uh eager student way um and you have to admire someone like at Spirit who sometimes their competition might not go away but she's she's in the gym the next day training you know it doesn't deterior so if you could have that Spirit then and some man you know that's it's great it's great she's got balls I'll give her that yes that's what we'll see goes uh before we do wrap things up I do I do want to finish on the actual uh foot itself because that's what we're here for ruin what do you expect to happen com fortnite uh when you guys come in like I I feel like uh we actually walk around before and he said he was gonna break the cage like I feel like that's what the possibility well you can never know because you can say one thing will happen unless something completely different happens my last week I said I was gonna win but knock it I was a three-round walk so do people pay for anything to happen really like it's it's too big Lads so one point you can finish it or we come back okay but next time we'll just keep hitting each other until it's over that's really how it goes yeah absolutely Dennis what way do you see before you go um well whether people are paying tickets to be at the venue or watching the live stream they don't for one hell of a fight um there's something about light heavyweights or heavy weights in this case the slight heavyweights two big guys who were game not one of them is going to pull out and not one of them is going to give an inch away you're there's gonna be something exciting to be happening and do you guys have very mutual respect for each other but once the once the door locks it's all gone you know these are what every once in a while you get a fight that that just stands out in Irish history in the MMA and I think this is going to be one of them it's a big opportunity for Ryan and it's a big opportunity for myself and we've both gone across but let them bang bro let them bang bang Lexi 17 in September 30th is there anything else you want to say to each
