great Lads I'm great thanks for having me on again anytime anytime yeah Max welcome home from Toyland how are you getting on bud ah the weather the weather it wasn't really a shock I was expecting it now but and I had the weather I landed on Friday with all the snow so uh there in a bit of a shock looking out the plane window but yeah I got straight back into things got the ball rolling with the training and stuff so it's great to be back home great to be back with me family and see all me friends and see all me training Partners yeah yeah is the rumor true that the taxi went from the airport to dman combat Academy straight away something like that yeah the house they went to the house and Ed D the combat Academy wanted to get the L jet lag out few rounds of PS with col did the trick you know look that Max means business for us yeah he absolutely do the Absolut was uh obviously uh you you uh had a successful Pro debut and then you knew straight away you were going over from November to Thailand for the Christmas period and you're you're only back what was that experience like um what was the levels of training like over there and give us a name of a few of the bodies you got to get in in rounds with yeah no I I I really H enjoyed me time over there um I I I think for myself as like a young kind of pro fighter I have I have time to do trips like these you know where I can go over to a gym and I can experience different bodies different levels different looks and uh improve myself as a fighter you know what I mean so I think them trips for me are like super important for me so uh I went back over to um bang in H toand and P uh where the Hickman Brothers uh they they run the the gym out there and uh I I I I got great training in um it was great uh I was able to uh be in Camp with John Mitchell when he was preparing for his H pfl final so I got a good bit training in with him H also towards the end of end ofy trip James is in Camp for his fight in Belfast so we getting good training in also and there's a few other boys that came in h the likes of lauron morphy H Christian Rodriguez um loads of loads of pfl Bellator I actually I got a bit of training in with a fell that one of my teammates is fighting Mark Andreas is H fighting him now in a week's time H so I got I got as I said loads of H loads of different looks H loads of different kind of uh tools you know added to the tkit so now I'm just looking forward to getting in and find myself you know yeah I saw a guy over there I don't know you probably don't know him his name is uh Jon Jones did you did you get get you working with him no um I actually tell you what I had staff when he did the seminar I got staff affection so I only uh was watching the uh seminar you know IID paid for it and stuff like that um but the details details he showed are great the same with um the same with GSP some of the details he showed were a great but all all down details and all are good they're two great people at you know what I mean both of them are super friendly super down to earth guys you know know H El Johnny bounds recognized the Irish a straight away and he was there talking to me and Miss for a few minutes you know there's a queue full of people behind us and he was there there chatting away having having B having the swag and all that you know um so it was great it was great like it's a bit kind of it's a bit of a m and bit surreal to see like two UFC champions in the space of two months you know what I mean two legends in the space of two months so that was that was that was class you know what I mean be able to pick the brains of some of the best in the world I think it's it's a privilege you know it's a privilege that's not taken for granted from yourself yeah what you saying and robbed your spot Sher yeah Sher Sher Sher was over there as well you know he had a fight out in h El pong boxing stadium that he h fell short on you know but Lo loads of Irish Lads over there I couldn't get over the amount the boxing coach I had a few mutual friends with him um you have James you have myself pan is over Daman McKenna Aaron Henry there a good little group of us like you know what I mean and it it felt like it felt like home away from home for a for a certain amount of time so it was all good no it was actually it was great to see it was almost like a team Ireland over in Bank out but uh yeah Max when you when you met Jon Jones did you contemplate moving up to heavyweight at any stage a chance I couldn't get over the size of him he's huge it just shows like like I'm I'm F he's probably Le two me three me put together you he's definitely he's definitely over a I say he's about I say he's about 140 150 kilos handy like Cy a un he's a unit and then Max you're obviously you're obviously back to work now but like doing the work over in Thailand like how much do you think your game has actually developed cuz you were there for for what close to four months um we are keeping up to date with your YouTube channel posting the weekly Vlogs yeah no just a h quick shout out to all Kings for sponsoring that H Vlog they uh they they sponsored the Vlog so was a their content out and try to give a little insight to um to what it's like you know for me to go away but I feel like um as I said it was a development camp like out of camp we done stuff like that all the time I'm never not I'm not trying I'm never not training you know um and it's super important to me when I'm not training I'm thinking about it you know so for me to get over there and to be able to even get on the mat and and and share ideas and just develop things test them out sping and stuff like that I feel like definitely me uh cardio is being through the roof from training into the humidity you know for uh for the four months that's that's the best thing out of everything in Thailand that's something I take home like every time is the cardio goes through the roof from the humidity you know but um really really really H feel like serious improvements have been made and I looking forward to showing them March 24th yeah and then Max just as well what was the best thing you did over in Thailand while you were over there as well I was those countless things it was great having me girlfriend um Isabelle over there with me she kept me a great company she actually had a I think she had mom e we did over there she had her own little click for our training sessions and stuff like that so I did I did love Stu who I just we did loads of Tours to Fifi Islands i h ran the big buet a few times did a few tours of uh saying the elephant sanctuaries and stuff like that so it was all good apart from that but um I think the best thing the most thing I enjoyed was the uh time outside of training you know where I was you know getting sunshine on my face I was you know down by the beach in between training sessions and stuff like that that was the most enjoyable everything I was doing was around the purpose of me being over there which was to train as as much as they could for four months and um yeah no it was it was H great great to uh great to take away get great to take that away from the the trip you know come home in such a very positive uh mind space and head space um I think that's the that's that's the that's the things we can take from the trip you know that's great to hear Ross isn't it yeah absolutely absolutely I I can't wait to see you now at K as well CU I feel like um you're one of these athletes who's like a sponge you really absorb uh the tips and tricks and the little details that you pick up H do you feel like we're going to see a totally new Max L come Fight Night in K I wouldn't say I wouldn't say you NE Max L um i' say I'd say uh definitely uh the way I look at at Lads is H I'm original you can't be originality I fight I fight the way I fight and I fight to exite people and get people to you know have have their eyes on me um you're looking at a m L who has a lot more hours in the game now than he did four months ago you know what I mean and that's all any fter can do is put the hours in and put the work in and uh you know what what what improvements are made and improvements that are made and uh look I'm looking forward to showing H my uh you know what's the word I'm looking for my versatility you know my uh my uh Arsenal my Arsenal and uh a few of the new things I've learned if I can get them into get them to uh you know the momentum of the fight I I I I'm looking forward to being able to you know show all that kind of stuff you know yeah wait till joh Jones spasmo let's see let's see if te Tean Kenna can get Jon Jones to the pillow hotel for the event now that I I wouldn't I wouldn't knock him I wouldn't knock him I would say that could be in the tree Arena fairly soon you know with the way things are go he's putting some shows on so play on if anyone could do it that man can do it 100% Max Max you obviously have like are a huge ticket seller in the country and I'm sure a big organization's going to be looking at you and like for the people tuning in now what makes Max L so original Max it's just I I say I'm I'm very strong um with with with the person I am you know like I I'm very like I'm very uh I'm very proud to be Irish you know what I mean I'm very proud to represent ashborne represent all me coaches me teammates and me gyms and and that what that's what makes me me and no matter no matter what I get from this sport I'll always stand on me principles it's always something that I've had from me first am fight to me very last am I fight and now from me first Prof fight to me very to me very last Pro fight I will be the same character and I will be the exact same person as I am now real you know what I mean you it's it's it's it's a big thing for me I'll always be real I'll always be original I'll always be myself and it's it's I'm I'm I'm not too sure if H you know if people respect it if people don't respect it I really appreciate the people that you know get tickets come out and support you know H Irish local talent and upand coming Talent you know I tried to I tried to do the same myself when I'm not fighting I was able I I wasn't able to make it down to I are yesterday but I was able to buy the link watch all the fights some absolutely phenomenal talent coming through the country at the moment and I think any anyone that follows the sport UFC and their casual fan casual fans I think I think you're stupid not to look at some of the talent that is coming through the country at the moment you know um I am a fighter but I'm a fan first you know what I mean so that's that's that's what H that's that's what I stand on you know little things like that and I think I think um you know people people like to uh support that you know um I wouldn't be where I am without my parents without the people that support me without my coaches and my teammates um and and that's that's that's the bottom line I am I I am where I am with the people that are behind me you know and and uh that's that's that's the end of sport that's the end of the story you know yeah B that's very enous shout out to your parents as well they were on to us like since you went away they're like when you get Max back on the show so hopefully the loles are happy there us yeah and there hasn't been too much cursing so van to be all right yeah no she be all right should' be all right my man making an effort on that and and speaking more clearly with my words you know trying not to mumble on my words so yeah you're you're Artic enough for R Max okay so max you're obviously fighting KX 21 March 24th you have a new opponent called adish Abdula can you tell us a bit about how this fight came about Max so I landed on Friday morning and I I I think that got on to m d and M D just told me that David I 10or 43 and7 or something like that that he has pulled out and he has got a replacement in um ajus Abdullah I think I think his name is he's one and I a pro with one TKO looks like he is H if if it if it makes sense I find in this sport you know there are there are technically good and technically smart guys and then there are guys who are threats you know um I feel like this guy is a lot more of a threat than my original opponent he has heavy hands he's he likes to walk people down he likes to um he likes to brawl so I've been training with the best of the best performance I Ain prepared for that and I a prepared for anything else that might come about you know uh in three weeks time honestly Lads I've been away for four months I am itching the fight I am itching the fight I've been on the S lines now since H the end of September and I'm just ready to go now I'm just I'm I'm I'm I'm H at the foot we I need to be I'm feeling sharp and feeling ready so I'm just I'm just waiting on a name and once once a name comes true I'm always going to say yes it's it's in my H Town in ashborne you know I have so much guys coming out to support me and I most most importantly than anything I want to go out and I want to prove there again that I am one of the most exciting prospects in the country you know along with many others you know but uh obviously I'm trying to stand out so I'm looking forward to March 24th absolutely the pillow Hotel some some place to host voice Ross is it you better get to the pillow Hotel cuz Max is going to put this fell to sleep 100% whatever well M like what's called I have no problem being biased it's our podcast we say what we want Maxwell is gonna win call March 24th cage legy in the pillow Hotel be there be we want to be listen I don't I don't like I don't like making H I don't like making F predictions because in my opinion H in previous competition has let me let me down in the past my thing is all I know is March 24th I am going to go in there go blazing and I'm going to go in and give everything I got and give 110% once I do that regardless of the result I don't care you know what I mean I if I I put 11% into this training camp I put um I 100% into this H training camp so it's it's like it's it's out my hands it's in it's in God's hands you know I'm G to go out and deal what I deal best and whatever happens happens you know everyone has a punch chance everyone has a opportunity to win in this sport it's one of the most unpredictable sports in the world so um we we'll go in March 24th I'll make the reads and whatever happens happens if I can put them away I'll put them away 110% but it won't slow down with them three rounds I tell you that okay so max you're obviously going to get the win in cage Lexi 21 and make sure you to get your tickets get on to Max for tickets like this this event do nothing to missed Max in his hometown the homecoming like uh it's it's great um get your get tickets off the fighters you know to support the fighters um their dreams you know what I mean anything that all get income War get straight back get goes gets invested straight back in to me for me training you know what I mean it's a it's a con it's a constant back and forward it's like I'm trying to I'm trying to become one of the best in the world Lads you know what I mean and I know I'm a long long way I'm I'm far away from that you know what I mean but um I I'll I'll do everything I can to get there and you know picket sales definitely give me a hand on getting away training with some of the best guys of the world for skill acquisition and then being able to be the best thing for me then is to be able to go back home and show all the lads back in the gyms that are training all the lads in Charlestown nce DCA you know what I mean where they could pick up a detail or two from me after what I'm after learning from four months away that's that's the best thing about it you know because it's like it's it's it's a constant back and forth It's a sport it's a sport of details you know so um that's you support support your uh you know your your local for local uh Fighters I definitely H do my best to support all the kind of young amateurs and uh stuff coming up with with training and with them getting ready for their fight you know um but you know I I'm I'm excited from Young fight but um Lads I was looking at all you are yesterday and I was just getting I call it the it you know what I mean I was there sitting I was there rocking for back in the chair and I was like two weeks time Maxi two weeks time you know bar maybe likes of someone like Ben M who's like a training partner yours was there anyone who uh who caught your eye uh at your Fighting Championship I thought them too then Ben M and Iden Bo obviously I was I bought the link to uh support them Ben M had a great debut and Ado fell a bit short against H young FAO lad H he looks like he a young lad you know what I mean but then I always say them young Lads are killers you know what I mean them young Lads are are going in with a point to prove you know so I always I I um I never really got to uh come across when I was kind of fighting in h amateur because I was the young lad you know what I mean but now now you see them all them two young Floy weights Shay cland and Dam McAn that's a great fight that's like that's that's a fight that that's like that's that's top level amateur I was I was also looking at the two other flyweights that fa had over in WS um they had two great performances over there Jordan Scully had a absolutely phenomenal performance as well against um Sam Simon who was H who was very very um impressed with with that and S kley his TKO was F after after the three fight SK you know what I mean you know coming back coming back from that you know losing three fights on the bounce defeat isn't easy as it is you know so it was great to see senon get back in there and get the Finish you know so those are just a a few fights that I had had an eye out for you know and I I was very impressed you know Dey always runs a great show on oh you War oh you had the pleasure of fighting on it twice so uh now great F show showing the top level of amateur Irish MMA you know you won't find a bigger advocate for Irish MMA than Max Ali would you no I was just going to say he's absolute man of the people here no but it's it's it's not lad I I I'm a I'm a fan I'm a fan before AO I've always been a fan of the sport you know what I mean and just because I'm training six seven times a week doesn't mean I can't H you know have a have a look into the you know the local talent because like i' I've I've been away and I've trained with some of the best guys and Lads Irish MMA is up there it is up there it's up there with some of the best in the world and I stand by that I say that to everyone everyone's like what's the level like and yeah it's great I find in in some gyms you always have your few exceptional Fighters your few guys that stand out but all in all the the level of Irish MMA it's true to roof you know what I mean it's true to roof and it's it's it's great to see it's great to see yeah well that's why we love covering it um max before we let you go we just have to ask you as well what does the rest of the year look like for yourself obviously you're competing in March 24th but like how many times you want to get out this year or and like is there organizations you're looking at or do you want to just continue to grow on cage Legacy I uh for myself um I think when three next points this year will all be on cage Legacy I'll have three fights this year I'll be looking to go four out as a professional fighter um towards the end of the year um but at the same time I'm looking for activity but I'm not looking to jump straight into things I have now a nice three four years to really really really upgrade the skill set and you know go into the trenches of it you know what I mean get it get get in get in hard hard H sparing sessions get G get get through all that stuff you know experience it and I know I know myself when the time comes once I have them three four years of I've I've matured a little bit physically wise you know I'm still I'm still young in the sport I'm still very young in the sport as a professional fighter I will be looking for activity and if any opportunities that come up for me that Mak sense you have to understand I'll be jumping on on that with a with a two hands but you know I'm in good hands with h ser colie and rdy um I have I have the really people around me with my father with uh all my teammates so it's it's um it's going to look like a a busy year every fight that I have I'm going to be looking the Step Up opponent it's not going to be a case of me you know fighting bombs all the time I I don't want that I want fights that will improve me as a fighter each and every time I want to step up an opponent each and every time and I'll gradually do that you know over the course this year and next year so I'm looking forward to getting this uh getting this pro career now getting the ball rolling on it we are too yeah well definitely definitely it sounds it sounds like de and Ken can throw what plant has it the window Max L three times this year that's that's money in the bank for him ma Max versus Jones I wanna I want to get a bit of Grant to me before that happen R yeah I love it no but H just again like uh I'm so fortunate for K's leg to be able to do um to be able to put on shows in me Hometown in in a place that I grew up as a kid it was always a goal for me to be a professional MMA fighter you know what I mean let alone do do a home show I'm very fortunate on the comain event I have Richie sman ahead of me a 10 fo veteran in the sport sman is being trained to me and has put me under his wings I'm a kid and I'm absolutely over the me with that you know what I mean I'm absolutely like I'm delighted I'm absolutely delighted so for for for two top level top level F and an absolutely stacked amateur card as well to be to be happening in my hometown that just that just makes me happy lad you know what I mean to be able to be involved in something like that you know but all all all all kind of you know appreciation of so I'm looking forward to you know getting in there and and uh showcasing the skills for March 24th and uh looking for a finish you know that's that's that's it you up the L yeah can't wait see Max before before we let you bounce is there anything else you want to say to the people that are going to be tuning in to see you very great show today we just have Max L on and now we have jar Harris on and J Harris is competing again cage Warriors 170 in on April 6th jar are you buzzing or what ah fcking ready just ready to rock now [ __ ] um yeah obviously just getting to fighting doubling again on especially on the biggest show in the like biggest show in Europe so just looking to go out and showcase me skills here just just exciting like you know yeah no we're obviously have buzzing but we have to bring it back to cage Warriors 161 where your major cage Warriors debut and like you blew the the roof off the place uh you're one of the most trending people on the night like what what was that what was that like when you made your debut in the yellow gloves ah serious obviously it's just something you're always looking forward to especially being a kid but like when I four started competing that's s of what like everybody was on know what I mean that's like other than the UFC they will probably do the fight you were watching and stuff um and then finally getting to go there myself and then obviously i' had to be in training them right now and stuff and then training with the likes and and reder and or the other L who fight on the cards and then going to get getting to compete on the same stage there on and obviously it's the the biggest stage in Europe so it just it just goes to where I'm at you know yeah think you think Jer made the right move going to team Roo yeah one of the best gyms in the country now there about it uh obviously uh especially especially uh in that flyweight division you have a champ champ status near series at cage Warrior so it doesn't get much better than that uh but seriously though Jerry at uh cage Warriors D last time out you threw the kitchen sink Ro you're hitting to blow that Fell's head off his shoulders and it was not moving at one stage I heard him a spinning elbow and he just nodded at me like go what's the story with the T800 here I'm GNA have to [ __ ] have to tr a little bit more in the kitchen sing for I know he was a great competitor and it was a cracking fight he was in there till the end so H yeah [ __ ] sound unlet as well talking to him after the fight I actually met him over at apfc then the week after and and we were having a little chat at them fight as well that's so [ __ ] yeah no really good seems like a good guy concrete block of a head on him but my hands are like playing concrete anyway and I swear to God they were double the SI peeling the gloves off them just from hopping them off his head know what I me I thought me knuckles were shattered for you do well breaking days Fat Boys a few knees up the pipe and all and he was eating them no messing KN head kicks elbows Knuckles he was taking the taking the whole go I one you get on B I was going to say one thing you did get to show was like Your Arsenal tricks and like all the combinations and all the shots that you do have H in the tank is that what we're going to expect come April 6 yeah expect it because like that I say that that weapon wheale is constantly evolving I'm constantly adding little bits onto it so I'm just the more comfortable I get in there the more you are going to see and hopefully we start to get them finishers coming on cuz that's what I'm well capable of doing yeah Jerry you went into that fight just on a one fight contract and then after obviously things went extremely well like how many more fights are you going to be f are you gonna be fighting with cage Warriers on the current so I have a 44 contract with them and hopefully I get the 4 four times this year that's what I'm looking at I want to stay busy obviously it's a little bit late in the year to start I would have rathered fighting in March but uh the doublin card was April so just have to probably squeeze in a short notice fight if someone pulls out we have no problem stepping in and blowing someone's head off so and then we'll get two more in before the end of the year then yeah how much notice do you think the the the GTA Army will need an advance to be honest I'm ready to go on two weeks notice for anybody now I mean I'm staying sharp this year I'm straight after this fight um the fights on the sixth I'm flying out the Thailand on the eth just to out there rest for two or three days and then going into a fight camp with um one of the H crew that sponsor me a a f where you'll always see them split shorts on me know what I mean we have a few their tops yeah the top of the range I just got a package sent out of them today so there be a few snaps and stuff going up with them people get to see the or um yeah going out to Toyland to do a bit of training I'll be back on the 27th then m g for s day night training so and be back on the 27th then and ready to rock with Whoever Whenever yeah Molly runs a type ship up there b doesn't she oh she definitely does H jar another thing that I've been enjoying see what you've been putting up is TE techniques on Instagram um where where did the idea come from posting these and are you enjoying making the content yeah to be honest I'm Co I'm coaching probably since I'm 15 like helping with kids and teens and L um obviously just me own friends like holding PS and stuff at then then obviously over the year I have a high caliber and anybody who's trained with me now like like I always have answers for problems and I love problem solving and stuff and I I know I teach really well so I just wanted to start put like because part of the like part of the job now is it it is getting out content now what I mean and I'm not really one of these bloggers like putting up videos and myself like walking into the gym now it's something I need do need to get better at but stuff I'm really comfortable with and right now I have a [ __ ] dense knowledge and like stuff I put up nobody's going to be like that's sh everybody's going to turn around and say oh that's the blading business and that's all I'm trying today just trying to get content out on stuff that I'm professional in because that's what I've been doing for the last 15 years I've been critiquing and building up a skill set that's undeniably one of the best you know what I mean so just trying to get content out there as well not trying to go into too much detail on things just stuff that people who try train can try out and or people might see and say I want to be able to do that and hopefully they pop up to a gym wherever they are or even better up to te r no I've been enjoying it I'm just hoping Ross makes a came on one of these videos no I'll leave with poor C just getting getting a hiding each time out but uh no fair In fairness uh uh I know from being in the gym I've seen uh people are coming up to team Roo and they're like the first thing to talk about is oh I know J so like it's definitely had a knock on effect of of you joining that other people have come you definitely have a lot of people around your own area looking up to J so it is great to see and hopefully that will turn into ticket sales on the nikom cage Warriors 17 oh when you seen it the last time we had played mountains of people there they already to played and set that place on fire so hopefully the same thing again now um the US will always play in super support B Mo and then all the areas around us so it's [ __ ] we'll see what happens now the whole place was full about him GTA select that t- shorts everywhere left right and Center it couldn't look left or right without seeing one even Ryan hu had one on oh yeah and tell us this uh Gregory Whammy uh what you know about him um he looks like a old the lad like 46 he's an experienced jiit to fighter but and he's a black belt has a couple of medals on the European s but that's not going to save you know what I mean I'm going to the fight starts on the feet and I'm looking out to come out and blow his bling head off his shoulder so he' be diving my legs all he wants he's going to get H he'll probably panic and I'll submit him as well he finish him anywhere um obviously have to you respect the you respect the level he's at but this is MMA it's not Jiu-Jitsu you haven't got a jacket the H on it's going to be wet it's going to be slippy and he's going to be getting Knuckles put in the back of his head so yeah to be no Holding On To Me is This is why I love having J on the show man just like part-time comedian parttime well fulltime fighter parttime comedian in FA the on liners it's not just for the camera like these these are these are 24/7 the these lines that come out of them the man the mans are walking uh walking um entertainment machiners but uh J tell us this is that something that you changed the game plan for it all that like you know you're focus on a bit more you to with this camp or you just doing you no we focus on MMA like obviously I do me Jiu-Jitsu sessions I do me like wrestling sessions on me striking sessions but the focus is always MMA um yeah always MMA I just like obviously there certain things we walk on like avoiding little things he's good at like I've watched watched a couple of bits from his fight so um now where to avoid obviously like these Jiu-Jitsu Lads they love to chase the back like I fought like K on molland as well the lads up in FAO as Specialists on the back end I've gone up and trained with them I was only up sparing with them yesterday so um like I have plenty of people to be attacking me next there nor man and obviously in me own gym [ __ ] gym full of killers so and a really high Jiu-Jitsu level like it is in mainly a Jiu-Jitsu Academy and then so the MMA team as well or uh yeah like I don't really need to change anything around I have Elite level people in Jiu-Jitsu around me and then I have Elite level MMA fighters and that's what matters absolutely J absolutely and look obviously obviously we expect you to get the hand raised um come oh it will be don't worry about that no M about but uh obviously the division you know hack is the champion there's I think Lonnie kavin's fighting I think in what looks like a number one Contender fight against Silva where yeah that looks like that looks like a smashing fight I'd love to say the winner of that yeah yeah I re I could play either of them Lads for the title come towards the end of the year yeah be happy to take either of them fights like they be they' be two smashing fights is is that the way you look at jar uh come we'll say December 31st um you'll either be booked to fight for the title or you all have that belt around her waist million percent to be honest I see um I actually see a man long having a win in that F I think he's just a little bit more well-rounded then I'm going to Blade blow anybody out of the water he put in front of me this year so hopefully probably May and him December 31st for the title whereever they they want that' be a [ __ ] I love that so there'll be an open top bus tour on January the 1st with J Harris with the gold b w around his waist that'll be some crack Lads ah that would be the right chance yeah absolutely well well look like you know I mean I suppose the champ still hack at the moment so one one of the are gonna have to race to get him him first and but yeah give me him tomorrow I don't give a b o have know what I mean well look if if your opponent pass like this event is not one to be missed last time cage Warriors 161 unbelievable show cage Warriors 170 they they it's a it won't be easy to be cage Warriors 161 but I believe with the we will be finish so that be all over the shop no I'm buzzing for it yeah what's called that J tell us this what did you make of the rs's venue I really liked it some some people weren't as mad in the I thought it was do you know what I thought was the beding business but I thought like a few people had said to me about the SE and like because it was below the cage it was like they were looking up into it and it was hard to see obviously with the corner posts and stuff but they're at adding in the third seat now so there's a lot more seats and they're going to be above the cage so yeah I'd say anybody who had any problems with it the last time it'll be completely different this time um wait so wait till they fight in the Indigo at the O2 have you ever been there no I haven't been there yet no you're like it's it's like a the cage is like a stage that makes sense I'm looking the Builder up and bring it back to the Tre and never mind the blading in the go know what I mean absolutely we play we'll sell out this one we'll sell out the next one and then then hopefully the to card in Dublin be probably going back to the tree Arena when we build up the crowd yeah well I I think that's that's always the dream you know what I mean to be to be in the biggest stage possible and putting on your skilles in front of the most people possible you know what I mean even better the main event yeah for it like uh it's going to be very interesting to see like that's the only loss on Shan Al's record you know can he get that back like I feel like Shan's probably the favorite in the bookies I haven't looked online but uh look shanali is always very entertaining come fight week and I think Cheto Vera is a perfect dance partner for him uh I feel like this fight card this main card is actually one of the best main cards of the year and it will hard to be beaten and I'm talk about like stylistic like the the type of fights we're gonna get like shaali versus Vera g match both people like to keeping on the feet D porier versus benois St Denise St Denise is like a Boogyman he's like the fight fighter now one wants to fight and Dustin porier is an absolute dog he'll fight anyone Kevin Holland versus Michael Venom Paige people have been dying to see see Michael Venom paage in the UFC for such a long time and he's fighting Big M with Kevin Holland I can't wait to see the Antics that goes on in that fight let alone H the actual fight itself and MVP in the UFC people have been asking for like I said for a long time I can't wait for and then Gilbert brunes versus Jack de Melena Del Melena was maybe less sort of I think people were saying like him and inary were on a sort of similar trajectory I feel like M Lan's last performance wasn't as good and Gilbert Burns wants to get himself right back up there in the title picture so like another unbelievable fight and Gil Burns is never in boring fights and then P Yan versus S dong P Yang is on a three-fight skate who would have ever thought that and then s dong is one of these guys who I feel like he can't get over that final hurdle when he's fighting the elite the elite I feel like he doesn't get the win but he gets the win against everyone else I feel like that's where he is he's a bit of a BRS made in this division um so I can't wait to see where that fight goes and who gets the win here but like again like what a main card every single fight is absolutely Blockbuster so I'm here for it yeah but like just even looking at the the prelim card the way Curtis blades against Jalan almea that was meant to headline UFC Brazil and then also gamr Tak on taking on RDA oh absolutely even like Pedro Muno versus Carter Phillips is an unbelievable fight you knowon Bala man like the way in like come on get me there and like you see fo pass prels yeah fo pass prelims like you know Joan wood AKA Joan cwood aka the wood moister is fighting Marina marose Marina marose was like two fights ago was like people were claming for it to get tot shot like this is like a fers fighers card like mcy Barber on the card as well like this card from top to bottom is absolutely Blockbuster yeah I'm because I made sure to watch UC Vegas 87 Jersey Rosen strike defeating gaziev yeah so now I'm I cannot wait for UC 299 this weekend who who your early pick pass yeah this week I'm gonna have to go for sha Amali like I know he was on the show before so so I'm biased towards the Irish Fighters um it's just it's just going to be a quality card like this is this is what it feels like this is why we cover the sport when these big events are on and uh you 299 is not to be missed this weekend but there's also a lot more MMA this week this is going to be action-packed so you're going to have to make sure to check out the enero show Instagram page but uh on Thursday pfl Paris goes down and Andreas binder is competing on the card from SBG Charlestown and danielis CI is competing on the card from SVG Ireland Bas are meant to fight each other in Dublin but now they're fighting different opponents on Thursday and it's been headlined by Cedric dunay and also shout out to Emma Brennan who's going to be fighting he's going to be boxing over in America that day as well but Ross freiday the eth boxing is back as I said Francis nanu is making his return to the to the ring against Anthony Joshua Ross what you make of this fight and who do you think is going to get the W in Riad for me hands down I got Anthony Joshua in this I think Anthony joshu is going to win by knockout uh I feel like there was going to be a lot of unknowns H about Fran and ghu going into the fury fight what way will he fight what will still be but I feel like near the people like AJ's team and coach and AJ himself would have seen Fran's fight they would have picked up on his H fight so they picked up on his tails and obviously Anthony Joshua is the better boxer and I feel like he's going to be able to get the knockout and I feel like that will add a bit of intrigue because I feel like for the first time ever the um the script will flip on Fury versus AJ I feel like for the first time more people might then be on the AJ side been like but we saw ganu Fury ganu nearly beat him and then we saw AJ knock out in ganu and I feel like people would then be like geez I think AJ might be able to be Fury and I feel like that's where the title tit will turn obviously Fury's locked into fight EK next sometime I think May um but like I think people really want to see AJ versus fur that's the that's the money fight that people want to see yeah that's but again I feel like lose and like he doesn't look absolutely wful I feel like the Wilder fight's still there for him as well I know Wilder I think said he's retired but like I feel like he not retired to fight in ganu yeah I I can't see enanu getting knocked out though like I know AJ AJ's definitely improved since get going um taking on Ben Davidson um I'd say I'd go AJ decision but uh look we've been wrong before and we'll be wrong again Bud yeah well look I'll be cheering for G one way or the other you prepering g over AJ we just cheer for the M Mayo to be honest like like I'm more like cheering for the underdog yeah okay yeah okay I don't know I think AJ sort of flipped the script as you said like yeah ever since he triw the belts out of the the ring last time um he's actually looking better not better than ever but better now than he has done in the last most recent fights um yeah so I'm gonna we're both thinking AJ for this yeah yeah and then uh Ross over the weekend I know we discussed with Max L your Fighting Championships was on up in Yuri another great event ran by Dey Le and um this weekend there is clam Wars arand Zone Lewis burn and Matthew frel are making their Pro debuts in this card H Russ every time we put a poll out for clam Wars people like they always seem to get the most we get the most feedback from Clan Wars like like it was voted as promotion of the Year by the energized people that follow the page um what are you expecting from Clan Wars this weekend yeah well I think they always put on a very professional show um it's a bit funny one I feel like there's a massive low of following and the guys up in ifs H run a great show um I feel like maybe it's not promotal as hard but it seems to still sell out very very well so uh look it they they put on a good show they've had great Fighters over the years fight on their shows um they've had the likes of Andreas binder H Gary's fought in the show before I think um k lockran f on the show like loads of people have fought on the show before that are like Elite Fighters and look I'm looking forward to seeing Lewis burn and Matthew F make their Pro debut and two really experienced guys uh from the amateur scene and let's let's see what they have to offer uh and then yeah just to touch on uh your Fighting Championships I know Max L gave us a a thorough run through of the card yeah but uh I thought uh it was great to see someone like Andrew Barrett who Max L had previously fought back out there I felt like he went uh Into the Wilderness a bit uh I thought I was very excited to see him back first round submission um he's always an entertaining character inside and outside the cage so uh great to see a win for him and then H that main event was absolutely insane and I think uh Damen McAn and Shay Cleland like I don't even know if he of them have hit their 20th birthday like unbelievable stuff out of the two of them and they're definitely both going to be want to watch um for the rest of the year and in the future amen baby Amen brother yeah um Ross I think we sort of gone over there everything I I'll just let people know what we're doing next week their heart and Sol into it and I think like their amateurs are doing incredible um they're sort of I'm going to call them the Pro Prospects like from sort of I'm going to say Paul used down as in like sort of 10 fights or less Pro Fighters like like nearly all their Fighters have a winning record they're putting in some serious performances um like if you just look at them from like start to finish like you look at flyweights you look at you know Damen mcgan Kieran kougan Omas Oliver you go to Banton weights you look at like your Matthew Elliott your Scott Harvey h a featherweight you have Cory mlin Paul Hugh has moved up the lightweight Joel Mogan was a lightweight champion H welterweights you have Rees mcke um you have then like middleweight you have col mclark and Patty MCC but there's loads of others like sha mccormmach oh McDonald like the list goes on and on I'm not going to name I didn't even name tan Lan who was on on the show last week he's there there's so many fighters that they have in the gym that are Uber talented and they all seem to work really really hard for each other they're an unbelievable Force at the moment and it doesn't really get much better than that at the moment like that's what all jyms are striving for to have that amount of talent in each way class the whole way up to middleway even Jordan O'Neal has moved there Amon Dean's moved there recently H you know James slavin won a belt there recently you know what I mean like the list goes on and on like I could I could nearly be here all day and like I ol olizee if I I forgot someone but like yeah you're definitely forgotten people like unbelievable uh talent in that gy at the moment so like I think domestically and in the UK and Ireland and you know on the am scene I think they're probably the gym that is killing it most at the moment uh but SBG Ireland just have that Global reach at the moment they have obviously you know Conor hasn't fought in a while but once he does come back you know like he will like Eclipse anything that's going on in RM like obviously Johnny Walker you know top fall UFC like heavyweight you know gner Nelson isn't fighting as acely as people probably like but like he he does like John Cav is nearly always in his corner braon is there H obviously they have a massive contingent F in at b t Bast you know car car Mo fighting for a world title there I mean there obviously just is like sort of in the latter stages of well not in the latter stages but you know more season professionals out of SVG and they have the most season Professionals in the country they also do an incredible good job I don't want to just say they have the most season professionals and not say that like you know they have car War fighting for worlds H and Johnny Walker who's the top five like heavyweight you know Brad Tona you know one or two wins he could be ranked in the UFC you know what I mean like they have unbelievable obviously Connor himself is incredible um shenake hav could be fighting for a title Danny mccor is the invictor H strawweight champion who should be in the UFC so like an absolute plethora talent and then like obviously they guys in the open com as well like your dark Kelly Jordan Fury H Karen Clark so like I would say on a global stage like SBG is still you know the most well-renowned and you know the team that's doing the best from Ireland but like in five or six years time when those that caliber of talent that fo Academy Ireland have they could be all UFC other large organization Fighters that like people are like geesus that could be the best gym in the country yeah no I'd agree I mean like you you you said it quite fairly there even though Phil tried to throw in the absolute [ __ ] Phil um I I'll also say another thing on top of that when it comes to promoting or promotion for within so uh say of an SG fighter as a fight compared to say of an fi fighter as a fight I actually find that more fi people like promote and support and Shout Out compared to what the f the SVG people do that's just an observation um but other than that interest yeah other than that um the bigger force in orish MMA I think you covered it quite well let us know what people think in the comments if you send a question in every week every Sunday we will cover it because uh that's what we're here to do Ross I actually sent in a question right and I want to know your pin on it who are the UFC's top five biggest stars right now but I I think this is a funny one because it sort of goes back on like UFC to put him in there and I'm gonna exclude Conor McGregor because obviously like he could be one two three four and five and like you could exclude the rest of the list uh I'm going to say Toria um I think shanali is probably W them Asel okay that's two I'm going to still say Jon Jones um in terms of you want to make Main Event he's definitely you up there um what have we G you three I still I still I still think one way or another Israel adanna is definitely one of the biggest stars they have uh and then I'm sort of like I don't know who the bigger draw would be is it is it hamach mayv or is it Leon Edwards they're the other two who I'm sort of thinking in five like who who i' go i' go Chay i' go Chay yeah but like if we anytime we put in with Chay everyone's like absolutely going berserk yeah although I think was he was at Peak celebrity when him and Darren till were a Duo yeah the good old days yeah he's bring down hill back but uh I I think that's a fairly Sol top five like I think like some people like banovski and Max Holloway are also on the course with that um I I just think they're they're the ones who are the ones with the the selling power at the moment um for the UFC but there's other ones that like might get overlooked when you're talking about stars like uh Dustin porier I think like put it this way if there was like sort of fan picture moments like I feel like the DUS po AQ will be really really long um as so so with a few others like I feel like Sean Strickland will be up there as well like as a star whether you love him or hate him like he's very controversial but like a lot of people be clammering to get a picture with him uh I think in the UK like I think Tom aspal is a huge star but I just don't think it's Transcendent you never mentioned Patty yeah Patty the bdy is uh a massive star uh he's he's one that uh look I love Patty and or Alex pra yeah Alex PR is another huge one um he's he's a bit funny because obviously there's a language buer there but like people love them um but yeah the I top five but like if someone to argue someone like an Alex prayer in there I like I'd happily concede one as well yeah right here we have another absolute [ __ ] stiring question here answer all the [ __ ] sing questions know I'm man no okay you ready you look nervous again okay here we go this from Justin from Spear and detail I think this is obviously he did a a last minute interview with h sever M May after the weigh-ins like that's not the norm very few Fighters do an interview at that stage and like that's not really from media platform from media platform you don't really want to be doing an infie at that stage either because like it's only what 24 hours before the fight not exactly what you're uh looking for but uh look I I think I think there's a few missteps uh like I actually don't think there's much malice behind what he actually tries to say but like I think you know he sort of talks [ __ ] about the Irish weather which like we all know it's it's crap but like he's like oh I'd much rather live in Brazil or like I'd much rather live in the UK and it's like you can think that I think sometimes I I think sometimes thinking something and then saying something are two different things and I think sometimes he says what he thinks sometimes and it doesn't go down well with with the crowd the audience he's playing to like when he was saying I'm too big for Dublin or he's saying I hope they don't think I'm too big for duin he should just go every single time when he wins and go UFC Dublin Dana when are we doing it and then the fans go NS and go yes we love it yeah and if it never happens it's not his fault he's asked for it you know what I mean he should just constantly be saying I want to bring UFC back to duin and I I think like sometimes when he says he's like I am singlehandedly down this by myself I'm carrying the country on my back and I just I think people are just like well like there is other Irish fighters in the promotion like yes you're obviously doing the best the most successful mod at the moment but like I think like I think I think also we sort of said oh they don't need any other Irish fighters on the Ireland card Bary you know mean those sort of uh things like he's not um as I've heard someone say I can't remember who said it but like he needs to send the elevator back down to the other Fighters and be like oh like maybe like when kayin lran Reese mcke fight uh Atlantic City you should like put out an Instagram post or tweet being like can't wait to see Kalen and Reese fight later come on Ireland something like that if you know what I mean like I feel like he's not getting the Irish support because he's not giving the Irish support what they're looking for yeah I'd agree I I don't think it's necessar either like I think I think it could be turned around I think like def you should probably come back to Ireland and do a media tour and but like I'm talking about like going on the radio stations or you know I mean trying to go on The Late Late or something I don't know but like I think uh he he could he could change around a bit like obviously you know him and his wife obviously got a lot of hate online and that was obviously a tough time for them and you know I don't know if they handled that the best but like obviously I've never been in that situation getting that much abuse online so like you can only sort of give your two cents on what way it should be played out you know no I agree I I think there is I think it's time now to try and mend what's going on outside the cage because Inside the Cage is kicking ass and uh if he's doing as well outside the cage he'd be like an absolute Superstar but uh no hopefully things things change a bit and um I think I think he's listening to the likes of like Ariel saying stuff um I don't think he really gives a [ __ ] what Irish media say um but like I think yeah I think personally I think he thinks he's bigger than the Irish Media or that's that's what it comes across as yeah yeah but like I mean people are able to do that like but the thing is thing is he doesn't actually have to do the Irish media no but he's doing himself no favors with the Irish fan base by not doing the Irish media that's that's that's that's that's the truth of the matter you know I mean yeah but also the thing is he's just G to get asked about his wife and stuff and like like he's probably just not AR doing it's but like he's in my opinion he's holding something back or he's like he's not being like that truthful to the audience and people and you can sort of see there's something wrong there but like he doesn't have to be truthful to the audience either so it's sort of like do people connect right now no but can they yes they could so we'll see what happens in the future because I'm sure if or and when the USC come back to Dublin he'll be doing training in like SBG Ireland like there'll be loads of stuff for him and Connor and people be drawn more to him as well so it is something we will be keeping an eye on and uh we don't always like talking about Ian cuz uh like it's sort of the same thing unless he has a fight rolled up but like look if he does good we'll we'll shout it out if he does bad um we'll look at the questions of the week and people will ask us to talk about it so uh you know what maybe hopefully I CHS into this episode and watches Max's Max sharting out the whole country and uh gu that bit of love back because remember we first had I on after his debut and he was like young and like
