okay what's going on guys and welcome to a brand new episode of energized today we have a very special guest on the show we have the dawn Garvin destroyer professional boxer Dillon Warren good now worried you like that new nickname for you we all that's a common occurrence Marie isn't raus raus is filling with the introductions like every everyone is spot on you know good things come to those who wait no you said it exactly so how you getting on Dylan he'll say I was always late you treat me are you still trying hard as ever little bits of train and each day you know I'm enjoying some time off from home leaving the batteries recharged crazy times are there for everyone and hopefully disc roasters pasture sooner rather than later and just get back into the ring and get going again yeah where exactly your bass no Dylan because I see a lot in the lake Liechtenstein yes if that's where I'm based no full-time students said just to start to this year in Liechtenstein I didn't even know the place existed until I went over there you know but now I'm living and training in there and quite happy over there what language should we speak speak English little bits of English yeah more German you know so I learned German every morning for an hour and a half before we start training so I'm picking it up I won't speak to you absolutely won't like but I've got the basics so we get put so you walk around head don't Garvin's Ali a little and speaking German to the lads showing out we have start to begin wait how did you start getting into boxing yeah so it we're all right back off as far back as I can remember on boxing you know I come from a box and family all my uncle's box and it's all I've ever done really so you know most people get into boxing at the age of ten eleven I've been doing it since I'm two and three I've been in the gym you know if pictures of me there hit the pad baby so it's all I know it's really apparent to me you know and it's all I ever wanted to do so like when I was in school and second during that and people talk about what colleges they were going to I was adamant that was going to be a boxer you know and then that's what I don't know I just chased that dream and no that's what they want so yeah yeah they're also able to kickbox on one stage oh I heard that come about yeah so obviously I was amateur boxing for years and I used to be getting to the finals in New Orleans and I was just getting bad look you know politics bad decisions and I broke my heart you know in select the for the teams and I just couldn't deal with it anymore and then I ended up keep boxing just by chance somebody said to me you know let's go and get the kick box and ago and at the time I was too young to turn professional in boxing so I had had a year or two to waste and I started kickboxing and it was an amazing two years you know a travel the world there were big shows you know and it was totally different from the amateur boxing scene so it was attractive to me at that point and yeah I have some good scraps and I had about 50 55 fights and kick box and you know really stood to me and why I went on to do it when the time was right I hung he blows up in that and move to Manchester to go professional also you always knew you were gonna go into boxing you didn't know you're gonna take a kick box instead no no no 100% in boxing was the goal like I said I knew you have to be the right age you know there was no point going into it as a baby weighed matured I'm gonna throw him fell I went over to Manchester and kick-started and what was a record and gave back I had 50 50 55 fights I won free worthless I would stick to a 7-iron fighters European title and yeah points I probably lost I'd say five or six you know before everyone and anyone like I say travel the world pre-experience my some great people I'm still friends with today and all em fight stood to me you know to keep boxing it wasn't a skillful as the amateur boxing but it was definitely more often talking you earned your stripes there there was an easy and try it was an easy and uneasy transition yeah everyone used to ask me that but I was never really good to kick in anyway you know they used to be shown at me to use my eggs and I just I used them because I had their but I was more just always pull out with the hands it was the voice really yeah did you play football oh god I did yeah when I was younger with all the lads do not be still game of football and you know and soccer and her don't know as a kid just real energetic you know but then there comes a time we have to pick what you want to do and just go ahead with that yeah then what has he overly concern is it a woman or as at the box [Laughter] it's a mag story Ross and I started off obviously professional of oxygen Manchester you know it's not an easy business to break into by no means if you haven't got that big back in our firm or our TV behind yet and you're on a ticket deal it's it's a crazy game you'd wonder why some people get involved but I did anyway and I went after it and start building a red card oh I got a deal in America no Sun contract America star boxing and the first voice for them I was beating over I was delivering a first loss and I was like T's you know I can't catch a break at all so I was at home and over the blue was a phone call from the stare lens asking me to go sparing the bass furrow in Germany and I went over there as a spare America disparage were there were great barriers you know about the gray fire we really put it on for the week aspire and then at the end of it the point note for more people who actually have a chat with me we went down to the buyer downstairs and hotel and he gave me a new contract that I cook refused I signed it there and then and now am I'm living a trainer over there so it's on that story how did you originally start like how did you throw in manchester was a place to go so obviously I'm from Oliver you know and there's been no pro boxers from here before me and you know you have to take it as it easy you know depending on like you want that or the sports and how far you want to go I knew well Vermont the place you need to be trained you know you need to get into the mix Manchester herd of oxen undecided or you know all the good boys are over there so I just got set up over there with Karen fire I moved in above the gym you know it was a real rocky story and yeah I learned I learned to trade over there on the campfire stand off and that was amazing experience shared learning with some great and that was the foundation that took me where I am now that's cost and till you're probably the toughest division in all or bottom really wait wait when you look at it like you have like some absolute massive names their arrows pens Terence Crawford Manny Pacquiao Shawn Porter key term and Mikey Garcia even like even I'm here huh who's like on the damn train his career but yes there are all massive named doing and then like God Only Knows a Floyd Mayweather Pacquiao retirement again it's one of those things and how far away do you think you are from that like you know the German champion and everyone died I would have put me in the top ten and word so providing all that I mean for me that's reality but this boy is come along and now it's been set back you know but as far as I'm informed this tune is I'm able to go back train and I still fight can you celebrate for the WBC belt you know that that's still there on the table I'm fully confident to win and die for you and like I said I mean that word so I'm not too far away at all yeah obviously over the last world we've been like promoting your fight so remember add Russ actually product before the show he goes that maybe we we gave him a shout out before one of his fights and you're the message was feeling like laughs that boy so I'm just so eager for there I remember I remember when you when you did lose and I saw you talked about or you put a tweet out saying that you were contemplating like even the sport is that it's actually true and like why don't she wasn't your mom frame with that one yeah and I definitely was contemplated and many times you know like I said I've come off her to go in the sport you know anything that could go wrong for a lawyer has gone wrong for me you know starting off living in in here and fires Jim up of the gym little to no money you know so it's been a long road since then you're having doubts is it going to pay off am I good enough am I making the right decision shows were cancelled opponents for pulling out you know a repeat in America I then flew straight to Tijuana Mexico I was at the restroom close though half Koloff remembered our home I come home I got the Belfast that show got canceled and I was at that point there was like what am I out here you know I'm putting so much interest in getting absolutely not back you know and I've made some serious sacrifices and cannanore I get brought to Germany sparing and get an absolute dream of a contract so that was my time to good look I believe I know I'm on the roads where I need to be again first and done you like here's Troy says actually honey I mean a lot of times voice fall through and he what's on them do you sort of progress in your career sometimes it can be hard for my voice because people don't want to fight the best cause they want to know yeah well for up the record man we've had some brilliant people on our show of the last two weeks and turn the box when we've had Johnno Carol and we've got myself you know more of it myself PP your whole motivation in a way you know again into the day boxing it is the only sport in the world and you're on your own you know so you just need to just stand only and focus on yourself work hard believe in yourself and like I said be your motivation and that's what works for me you know I know where I come from I'm setting a good example to the kids coming up in my me and that's that's what I take more based in to continue doing that yeah I see you I see you train your little brother as well yeah he's the next one coming through Mason he's got 13 fights now 13 on the track and yet loves love's box and you know and just watching me every step of the way the experience he's getting the second to none for a kid so very excited to see where he goes when he comes of age yeah must be great for him to look up to a bird like yourself you know yeah and I see a Mike I say he's there every step of the way like my shadow you know he'd be in the dressing room before the fights be there after the fights he knows all the ins and outs of it and the bad side of it too you know so he's getting experienced there not many other kids get what I usually do he's 11 he's still only a baby boy yeah he loves it you know I mean and I said the path for him you know I make all the mistakes that you don't need to make you know how many homes 18 I can show him how to do it whereas I didn't I made mistakes because you have to go and find out for yourself whereas he warned and at that stage when he's ready to go professional I've made a lot of contacts around that I can pass them on then and get him set up yeah we've had the Klitschkos they will have the morons just not all the belts I'm here with Jack and he'll be much bigger than you order a can be small and there are similar stories yeah I think he's gonna be very small he's only he's only 11 which is why one he's only 20 a kilo so she is 28 kilos we miss him open throw him white that's gas the obvious he's found the contract with the company in nature Sonja and how many fights have you did you saw him for so I started the tree year deal with him we didn't we didn't speak with a voice so at Lisa's legend trainer in Germany so the setup is 10 out of 10 you know I've never seen anything like it and it's an abuse reparative worry and we're all just blow below for the train and hired and really living the life essentially that's what it takes no distractions every day it's just full-on box there's no way I'm gonna get like homesick there or like are you just are you loving it just being roid dedicated to with the blue when when I first moved away years ago I was getting a bit homesick you know you'd be on but I've been on the go since some useful but am like I say all the time I'm living the dream and I am I love every second every part that comes with it toy train and hola and it's just look enjoy it while it lasts you know boxing is a sharp career and I might know that I remember seems like only yesterday it seemed a million miles away but now I'm here you know and I'm just ready to make the most of it I know people I'm can deliver the big fights to me you know this is only mortared for farm and you have me a shot WPC bell so proof is there hopefully I win that I'm a hundred percent conference I've beaten Dennis it'll be you know I was firing on all cylinders for the fight two weeks ago obviously think go ahead hopefully he'll take the fight reschedule it and go again don't cross phone phone your career I know I know when you had a minor setback and then you felt like you're down and then like for this to happen it's it's brilliant see for myself on Ross as well and everyone who supports you as well thank you very much appreciate you know when that happened last year you have two choices you can keep going down when I go back I cope you know and I just find that full steam ahead and that's why I'm into going to break hell because I've been just I don't know it's insane rebuilding you know so the couple of weeks at home is do me the worldly good you cherish the batteries I'll be refreshed and ready to go again when this passes for their yeah it's been it's been a long couple of months you know I think you learn more lutes in a loose and restroom than you ever will in a winner and that's so true I learnt more than late in America and I have my have happened with no fans would you with a party you fightin in an inner in a well it wouldn't be a massive Stadium I'll see because they wouldn't like rent their Madison Square Garden for a no fans poured and without what that body is fighting with like no crowd Barry I would have fought Denny Sylve in my gym with nobody there for free just to get that belt you know because I knew what came with it and my promote actually tried to get the show on in the gym when the virus first come around and the arena wouldn't that leave all the show because he knew as well that once you get these been sanctioned you need to go ahead with him so he tried to pull every last ring he could but then there was not money to do so we just left it at that I came home and one piece of voice or glue adheres don't tell anyone ever again that your fight for free right people will pay good money to watch your fight so you take their money on the back right now I'm all crash basket and I'll see one of the biggest fights of all time is like on the horizon and fury may be versus them but the winner of fury royal derp three versus Joshua you do people are say with a way crown I think my final few words I think you would fight today I think Tyson Fury wins you know I just think he's got he's got too much time you know too much movement Tim was shot selection he's the better boxer who knows you know anything happening they are I actually think like he we hear ovals Muhammad Ali with his style they're gonna remain like people you know people Ali on such a pedestal that they want to say over say he was on beam but like Ali last four or five times I like toys Fury's on the field I'm like you made a show Klitschko I made a show water and I think it was like what 18 or 19 rounds and then like you mean if he beats Joshua he goes Roy up there's like when the best of all time to ever do whatever they did the kids for win over in kids cross country was disparity but then when I'm done while they're toys away from England and their way it used to be Joshua and it happens in England it'd be very hard I'd do a resume like that when someone you return he's done for to health as well is like his partner Joe Rogan was deathly 103 podcast ever seen amazing I love his dad as well you know they speak so much sense they're just black and white down the middle fury himself then as a character champion whatever but I just think Fury is too much boxing do you know too much ring craftsmen like the movement they have for a boy your size is crazy and then his last performance again spoiler just really solidified his status for me you know well and just beat up the foyer in the fashion that he did which I was like I just I couldn't get over yeah you're gonna make sure you get that card now as
